    Naughty Dog have put 110% into this game as you can tell from the moment you start playing. The story is incredible and so is the smooth gameplay. The graphics are also possibly the nicest looking graphics I have ever seen in a game before and the multiplayer is fast paced and fun. It lives upto the hype in every way shape and form. People on here have been scoring the game 0 just for theNaughty Dog have put 110% into this game as you can tell from the moment you start playing.     This game is the best game ive ever played and also the best game naughty dog has ever produced. The gameplay has been improved by a lot. Theyve introduced a grappling rope which might sound simple but is actually a fun and very useful tool. The graphics have been significantly improved since naughty dogs masterpiece the last of us.     Finished the game and i have to say that it is the best in the uncharted series and for the console generation(so far at least...) for multiple reasons.First of all, the game has one of the best console graphics as well as a very memorable story followed by a very addictive and balanced multiplayer.Absolute masterpiece

    Story: Naughty Dog followed their traditional formula: "simple story, complex characters". The story begins with the simple idea of treasure hunting but the characters gradually start to show different sides of them and the relations among these characters have added a new dimension to the storyline. In few words, it's the best storyline of entire franchise.

    Gameplay: It's not like last three Uncharted games with full of gun-fightings and action sequences. In fact, it has lesser number of action set-pieces than last two games. However, the new gameplay mechanics are very fluid and responsive. Open level designs encourage gamers to explore a lot, make them feel like a real adventurer. Stealth mechanics are solid and made the gameplay more diverse. To sum up, despite it's the last game of the series, Naughty Dog brought a lot of changes to the gameplay and passed with flying colors.

    Graphics: There are not enough words to praise the visuals of this game. To say the least, it is the best looking video game of this generation in any platform.
    Final Verdict: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the perfect farewell that our favorite hero Nathan Drake deserves. A true masterpiece, most probably the best Uncharted game ever. 10/10    … Expand

    This is truly a masterpiece the PS4 has been waiting for. The gameplay, mechanics, facial animations, visuals and story are unparalleled. It's sad to see Xbox deterrents get on metacritic and give it a 0 score just to troll. This game should be celebrated and in my opinion is the game of the generation.

    Class of its own ! Naughty Dog you ! Just go out there and get this title, is likely to be i your top 10 so far ! Story line is gripping, action is mind blowing, graphics are as good as they get at this point. May be some small gameplay glitches (very minor).

    El prologo es una mezcla de sensaciones que empiezan a mostrarte que te estas subiendo a una montaña rusa donde habrá momentos de acción, momentos de emoción y momentos de distensión.
    En el momento que empiezan los créditos después del prólogo mi piel era completamente de gallina.

    Técnicamente no hay nada mejor en consolas ahora mismo, así de simple. ND hace magia con todo lo que toca y no me puedo imaginar que haría esta gente con un pc en condiciones. Y esto demuestra que no todo es el hardware en esta industria. Que si le pones ganas y talento, con una máquina justita puedes hacer obras maestras. Por favor, estos son los que hicieron entrar The Last of Us en Ps3!!!! Este Uncharted 4 es simplemente un escalón mas en esa progresión triunfal.

    En fin, recomendadissimo e imprescindible si eres fan de la saga. Y si no lo eres, juegalo, no creo que valores el rato pasado como malo.

    Y por último, nunca entenderé los TROLLS y la gente que debe tener poca vida o ser un desgraciado directamente y que vienen a sitio como este a trollear sobre el juego. Quizás es producto de su propia frustración por no poder jugarlo, y no incapaces de canalizarla. O sencillamente porque son así y no hay mas neuronas en el cerebro.

    Pero para la gente madura y seria, esta obra será una imprescindible en su memoria de jugador!!    … Expand

    Great game, doesn't deserve the low rating from users. The parkour elements are superb as always, dialogue is excellent and hilarious at times and I'm really liking the story so far. The multiplayer is fun and plays a bit like The Last Of Us factions, only a lot more fast paced and less stealthy. I only wish you could create your own character in MP.

The story telling, gameplay and of course GRAPHICS are the greatest I have ever seen. This game is a fitting and the most memorable end to our man. It is the greatest game of all time.     Great game full of suspense and enjoyment! The way you have to make split second decisions made it so enjoyable. The rope system and driving was definitely refreshing!! And might i add these graphics are amazing! You get lost in them.. The story is so gripping and interesting all the way through. I dont play games through twice but this is one im going to.     This game is a masterpiece. It's an amazing end to Nathan Drakes story and it had me smiling and laughing at all of the witty things the characters would say. The graphics are the best i have ever seen on consoles and the animations are fluid. The environments are well designed and the set pieces were a blast to play. The story was fantastic but i wont talk about it in this review so you could experience it yourself. Go buy this game now it is the best game i have ever played and left me sad that i could never experience it again for the first time. It is definitely worth the price with Naughty dog adding free content to the multiplayer part of the game. (Haven't played the multiplayer yet but when i do i will add my thoughts of it to the review.)… Expand

    In short, this is the 2. best Uncharted Game. They improved absolutly everything compared to the previous Uncharted Games, specially on the technical side. Visuals / Audio / Sound / Voice Actors / Animation / Story / Gameplay & Atmosphere are getting full 10/10. Truely a must have Titel for the PS4. Gameplay-wise it is as long as UC2/UC3, but they added alot more cut scenes to tell a moreIn short, this is the 2. best Uncharted Game.     This game is simply a masterpiece, theres no other word to describe it. Naughty dog somehow raises the bar again on cinematics and graphics in the console realm.
    Ive never played a game that has rivaled movies in terms of acting and relationships as this game has. Don't miss out on best game out for Ps4 so far this generation.

    I recommend to all fans of the Uncharted franchise! In this game the ND managed to improve the combat system, the intelligence of the enemies, the graphics and also managed to close the franchise with a golden key. For those who doubt, I recommend without doubt. After the campaign mode closing, I recommend spending a few hours in multiplay mode - it's fun!

Well, I can proudly say that Uncharted 4 completely delivers and I've only played Uncharted 2 and a little bit of 3. It is clear that Naughty Dog has taken all of the lessons they learned from the first 3 Uncharted's and The Last Of Us and once again created a masterpiece for the PS4.After Naughty Dog proved what they could do with The Last Of Us, they had a lot to prove with Uncharted 4. Well, I can proudly say that Uncharted 4 completely delivers and I've only played Uncharted 2 and a little bit of 3. It is clear that Naughty Dog has taken all of the lessons they learned from the first 3 Uncharted's and The Last Of Us and once again created a masterpiece for the PS4. Nathan Drake's final adventure is perhaps the most engaging and thought-provoking yet, thanks to excellent writing and performances. However, the real strength of Uncharted 4 is the way it is able to combine story and gameplay with such grace. The game can be a little too difficult at times and the climbing controls could be improved, but those concern easily faded away when I was given the choice to engage a situation with stealth or brute force in the game's much larger sandboxes, or when the banter between Nathan, Elena, Sully, or Nathan's brother, Sam put a smile on my face or brought me to edge of tears. While playing Uncharted 4's 12-14 hour story, I never wanted to put the controller down. It's a story about family, self-examination, and even storytelling itself. And to top it all off, there is an engaging and provocative multiplayer in the package as well, with intense gameplay and tons of unlocks. Uncharted 4 is a game that AAA developers can only dream of creating. If this really is the end, Nathan Drake couldn't have asked for a better sendoff.… Expand

    Multiplayer: Excellent performance (900p and 60 fps) accompanied with very fun modes. And a lot more to come in future dlcs.

    Overall, a master piece.

    "The trouble with trilogies is that they almost never end at three. The same kind of thinking that assumes three parts will be necessary to tell a single story will inevitably need a fourth and fifth shot at getting things right. In that way, “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” feels as inevitable as it does unnecessary. Each new entry has strained to add something new to its post-Imperialist pulp fantasies of treasure hunting in far-away lands. It’s a game in which a character reaching for a door knob might trigger the whole building to collapse, leaving them left dangling by three fingers over a subterranean chasm.

    The first three games followed Nathan Drake in search of treasures lost to the modern world — El Dorado, Shangri-La, and Iram of the Pillars. They were weightless fables in which a hero did the work of nations — sneaking across borders, driving into areas still untouched by government census or GPS satellites, and hopefully walking away with a few crates of gold for his trouble.

    As a video game, this sense of adventuring was reduced to three essential pieces — long shootouts against mercenaries; interludes of cliff-climbing and ruins-clambering; and lavish movie sequences in which characters try to establish some emotional bond between an unlikely crew of helpers stuck working with Nathan. The games never made the case for why Nathan thought this was a better way to find a fortune than day trading, but the thrill of dangling from a newly disgorged tree root while being fired upon by RPGs was enough to make the series a success.

    “A Thief’s End” attempts to add something new to this formula by digging deeper into the psychology of its hero. The title and gloomy cover art suggest that someone’s going to have to die in order to gift players with enlightening insight into the business of treasure hunting. Will the man who defined himself through action be undone by the horrors of self-reflection?

    In an interview with Eurogamer, the game’s co-creative director Neil Druckmann promised to, more or less, burn the house down on his way out: “with the end of this story it will be really hard to do a sequel with Nathan Drake. Maybe there’ll be a prequel, maybe it will be a different character — I don’t know. But this is the end for Nathan Drake.” It sounds almost too good to be true.

    “A Thief’s End” begins with Nathan having already quit. He’s retired from treasure hunting and happily married to Elena, the photojournalist who tagged along on his first adventure. The couple is leading a comfortable middle class life in New Orleans when Nathan’s brother Sam randomly appears. Nathan thought Sam had died during a caper in Panama 15 years earlier, but instead he was just stuck in a local prison, from which he escaped by promising a local drug lord money from a mythical treasure he and Nathan had been tracking when they were separated all those years back — the forgotten booty of the 17th Century pirate Henry Avery.

    Nathan is guilted out of retirement and plunged back into the familiar whorl of guns and survivalist parkour to save his brother’s skin, a man who’s incrementally more reckless and selfish than Nathan. This is telegraphed by the vague cosmetic sleights of a dubious neck tattoo and receding hairline.

    The first few hours of the game jumps backward and forward through time, making it seem like there might be more behind each unanswered question than there is. The second half becomes a laborious trudge across a small but inexhaustible part of the Malagasy coast searching for the lost pirate colony of Libertalia. The brothers argue about their dead mother and Nathan begins to wonder whether his commitment to his last remaining blood relation is ruining his marriage. They process their feelings by shouting lines at each other like: “This has nothing to do with that!” And “This has everything to do with that!”

    The “Uncharted” games have never excelled at storytelling. Instead, they’ve used it an accompaniment to overwhelming visual technology. The games have always struck me as garish more than gorgeous, more interested in overwhelming the senses than communicating with them. “A Thief’s End” is overflowing with useless detail. It overwhelms the eye with so many different points of focus that one almost clings to the over-the-shoulder focal point at the center of the screen, where the gun reticle can at least hint at a potential ways of engaging with all of the simulated objects and effects that are otherwise impossible to identify, let alone differentiate.    … Expand

    Okay so as of now I have finished the game and I have to say this game is magnificent. I personally feel as if this game has topped the series and nearly any game that has been or to come in the future, When I first played Uncharted 1 it was because a friend recommended the series as I really enjoyed Tomb Raider and various games of this genre. I completed the first game and feel in love soon after playing the Uncharted 2 and then proceeded by Uncharted 3. I felt at the time I loved Uncharted 2 and 3's stories equally but loved Uncharted 3's mechanics and game play even more... well this game tops both of those with the mechanics of the game to even the story with even some nostalgia to The Last of Us giraffe scene with the pirate island with lemurs in this game    … Expand

I'm very willing to wager the largest portion of negative reviews come from immature trolls trying to make the game look bad because it's not on their preferred platform.     It's a masterpiece. Amazing story, good writing. Currently the best looking game on PS4. Nice dialogues the characters almost feel like they are real actors. The shooting and the game mechanics are great.

    Honestly the best PS4 game and possibly best game of its genre for 2016. While the game does trudge along near the final section of the game it still ends with the beauty and flair that the first 80% of the game gave you.

    Beautiful set pieces.
    Great Animations.
    Epic action sequences.
    Intriguing Story.
    Phenomenal Cast.

    Also the multiplayer is a huge improvement over previous installments. And the 60fps is an added bonus. While their are micro-transactions these are mostly limited to cosmetics that you can still earn in-game.    … Expand

I'm nine chapters in and i can't help but be in awe of the experience of playing this game. The graphics are amazing, the voice acting is spot on--complete with all the charm and humor we've come to know and love from this series, and the gameplay isI wanted to post this review not only to counteract the trolling on here (more on that in a bit), but to say how much I'm enjoying this game! The graphics are amazing, the voice acting is spot on--complete with all the charm and humor we've come to know and love from this series, and the gameplay is near perfect. There are a few minor gripes that I have: 1) the game, at times, tries to be like the Metal Gear games, whereas it almost seems like the game forces you to play stealthily in some sections. There are a given number of enemies in an area, and taking them out with stealth IS fun, but if they spot you all of a sudden dozens of them come out of the woodwork. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with white-knuckle shootouts, but it can be a bit frustrating at times, 2) there are certain times where the graphics CAN be a bit blurry. It's nothing major, and maybe it's intentional, but it was a little immersion breaking for me. However, these are VERY minor gripes when weighed against the whole experience of the game, which is epic to say the least!

    Now, as far as these XBox/PC fan boys getting on here and giving the game 0s I have just one thing to say: grow the f*ck up! I mean if you prefer Microsoft products over Sony that's fine, more power to you, but bashing a game that's doing well with critics just because it's not on YOUR platform is childish and petty. I'm a Sony guy myself to be honest, but I don't go onto the user reviews of XBox games and hate on THOSE titles for no reason. Get a life, really! Just like what you like and keep your narrow-minded opinions to yourself.

I am undeniably ecstatic to say U4 delivers on all those fronts in Naughty Dog's dependable and amazing fashion. Let's get into why that is.

    Story
    I love Uncharted so much for many different reasons but possibly the biggest is all of the games' fantastic story (minus U3 - it was meh compared to the others, but that's a different topic for another time). U4 has the best story out of all four games. The basic plot of this game is that it's been awhile since Nathan Drake has gone on his dangerous, yet exciting adventures. He's living a normal life now. However, Nathan's brother, Sam, returns after a long absence. Nathan is eventually dragged back into the world of treasure-hunting by his brother, but the stakes this time are more personal and "final-installment"-like. I really wanted this game to fully capsize on big, emotional punches, and for the most part, I can say it did that throughout its 15 hour length. I loved Sam's addition to the series. I became attached to their brotherly bond throughout this grand adventure. Nathan is as lovable as ever (obviously). So is Sully and Elena. Speaking of Nate and Elena, they have more time to shine here as a couple more than ever, and the scenes with just them together are some of the best in the entire game. Forgive the cheesiness, please, but it was adorable. Also, I have to bring up the increasingly intriguing treasure storyline here. That too was super great. The characters, their relationships, and the treasure storyline here make this game's story absolutely amazing.

    Graphics
    I was on a binge-playing session with this game. When I went outside to do some jobs, I literally couldn't see the difference between this game's graphics and the real-world. No joke. U4 is the best looking game I've ever laid eyes on, and I'm sure it'll keep that title for a long time. Everything is layered with such precious detail. The character's expressions in cutscenes, the way Nate leaves behind footprints, the way the red mud sprays up when driving through it, just...oh my God. This game may be worth it alone for just the graphics.

    Gameplay
    Gameplay in U4 has been refined in great and interesting ways, and there has also been a little bit more variety added to this one. I have to bring up the shooting first and foremost. Not only does the shooting itself feel very good, but the shootouts are incredibly dynamic. They're quite challenging, too, which I truly appreciated. The areas in which the shootouts happen are level design at its finest. Climbing and traversing the environment hasn't changed much, but there has been a lot more of that added here, along with the exploration elements. You feel like a true explorer, more so than any other Uncharted. However, that means the set pieces here aren't all over the place like in some of the previous games. I will admit that I was a bit wanting of maybe one or two more. That doesn't mean they're not fantastic, though.

    Review Closing
    Uncharted 4 is a masterpiece and is further example that Naughty Dog is the best developer in gaming - stop arguing. You know it's true. I'm sad to see my favorite game series reach its true finale, but all good things must come to an end. Thank you, Naughty Dog, thank you, for creating this incredible franchise.    … Expand

Sure, you can beat the game in 20 hours, but you can easily spend another 20 hours exploring the world around you. Not just searching for collectibles, but looking at the details, enjoying the views and making screenshots. This game is one the most beautiful games I've played in my life (another being Witcher 3). I'm still half way through the story, so I might update my score later, but so far it's looks interesting, with a lot of great characters. Lots of improvements compared to U3.    … Expand

Considering performance, the game is impeccable. The presentation, acting (again), score, and visuals are all some of the best I've ever witnessed in the medium. The only thing holding me from giving the game a 10 is its pacing. It's paced extremely well for the most part, but there are segments that can tend to drag a bit. This may be intentional, as Naughty Dog is obviously trying to convey a more reserved and reluctant hero. Regardless, this is an exceptional experience, a tour dé force in interactive storytelling, and a fitting end to arguably the most well-known and loved cast of characters in the entire Playstation library.     The uncharted series has been an awesome ride, and now that its over it feels kind of bitter/sweet as im left longing for more. What really stands out for me is the characters, story and beauty of the locations we visit in the games. Uncharted 4 is a great end to the series definitely one of my favorite games of all time.

    Uncharted 4 is very much the epitome of the last decade of Naughty Dog games. Beautiful, gripping, charming, fun, exciting, and memorable. "It's better to burn out than to fade away" Neil Young's lyrics have never fit a game so accurately. Buy it. Play it. Love it.

    Uncharted 4 is, firstly, the most BEAUTIFUL console game I've ever seen. Absolutely stunning. On top of that it's one of the best games I've ever played. The story is better than many movie plots and the actors are believable. Naughty Dog has done a stellar job.

    I don't know what kind of witchcraft the guys at Naughty dog are doing to generate this visuals on a ps4 but this the BEST looking game ever, period. The story telling and gameplay are top notch as well. Uncharted 4 is gem that every gamer should at least play once.

    How good it is! It's so exciting and huge. I'm in like Indiana Jones movie but the maim character is me. I think it's the best Uncharted game with one of the most beautiful game world I've ever seen. Thank you, Naughty Dog. Good ending of the series...

    Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]
