    Coming from someone who was bored to tears with UC1, and couldn't even be bothered to finish UC2, giving this game a 9 says something. I've had a really good time with UC4, and I think this is the first time I could say that with an Uncharted game. I don't know what it is, but I didn't get halfway through only to ask myself "Christ, how much more of this is there". The polish on this game is just fantastic, the settings are gorgeous, varied and highly detailed, there's so much variety in the gameplay yet everything functions astonishingly well, even things that only appear in the game for a few minutes. Nothing felt repetitive like the prior games. This is easily the best Uncharted game to date. Not my personal GOTY, but if you picked it for that title come December I would certainly see why.… Expand

    This is one of the best games of the year and a satisfying conclusion to the Nathan Drake saga. It contains all we've come to love from the series. Impressive set pieces with a stunning attention to detail, great voice acting, entertaining puzzles, and fun platforming.     From someone who really like all uncharted games previously , especially uncharted 2 ( witch i finished 4 times). This game is perhaps even better then uncharted 2 and that i never thought would happen. I was quite afraid this game would be bad, but it is not. So as RenaudL say lets be honest here after around 16 hr of playtime this game is fantastic.

    Good characters, great banter between Nate, Sully, Sam and Elena. Good enough Villains in Rafe and Nadine. Great soundtrack. The best story in a uncharted game. The best gameplay in a uncharted game. Fun going round exploring and climbing. And i think thats a good thing that the game is a little bit more focus on exploring and climbing , while giving you a lot of freedom when you first get to combat , and there more then enough combat too.
    You also get a more then satisfying ending . And while i loved this game far more then the last of us. All in all this game is nothing short by amazing.

    I think its a best linear story game ever. The story is just beautiful, graphics are epic, combat system and platform mechanics are so smooth. The final is really good for close the serie. So, i like this game so much.

    The better uncharted ever made. One of most briliant games Ive played of my entire life. Nice story, best gameplay plus a lot of hours to spent at uncharted universe. (More than 13 hours to finish game).

    It feels like something entirely new but it also feels familiar, I finished it surprisingly quickly because I was so engaged in the Story and in the gameplay. Once again, naughty dog has given us an amazing Game worth checking out. This Game is a Game of the Year potential winner.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Another great game in the franchise, I can only recommend playing it for yourself as my words cannot do it justice.

    That been said I will proceed...

    The Uncharted series have been solid in all aspects but they're primarily known for their story. Uncharted 4 doesn't stray from this connotation and fills the player with an array of emotions as it goes on from the typical uncharted humour, to seriousness and a real sense of emotion.
    This helps create individual personas for the characters and a real sense of empathy and by the end of the game when they look back over the previous games I couldn't help myself but feel ((((SPOILER)))) part of the family and journey that they had created.

    I'm glad they seem to have put the nail in the coffin, not in a negative way but so that we can remember the Uncharted games for the great series that it is.    … Expand

    Simply put and without any exaggeration at all, uncharted 4 is not just one of the best games ever created. It is one of the best action movies I've ever seen and the best finale to a series I could ever hope for. Show this game to someone who doesn't consider video games to be art, and see his world shatter before your very eyes

    This is my first truly "next gen" game. All of my other PS4 games have been a remake of a PS3 game, or have been multi generational/ multi platform. This is the first true PS4 game for me, and it shows. The campaign was amazing. I've been hearing some complaints about the pacing, but I felt like it was good. I don't think pacing is as important in a game overall, since you typically won'tThis is my first truly "next gen" game. I've been hearing some complaints about the pacing, but I felt like it was good. I don't think pacing is as important in a game overall, since you typically won't sit down and play the game in one sitting, like you would watching a film. Either way, the pacing was a little different than the other games, and the last half spends most of its time in one setting... but the entire first game was on an island, so I wasn't bothered at all. I loved the open gameplay of taking out enemies, I could really see a series like this becoming open world and working out very well. All of the mechanics were flawless. I did find myself jumping off a cliff here and there, but every time it felt like I did something stupid, whereas in previous games it was totally the game. It took me a little over 13 hours to comfortably play through it on my first run, and it could have easily been longer. There is a trophy for beating it in under 6, but I don't see that happening easily. I loved everything about the single player, and the multiplayer thus far seems great. There are "microtransactions" for coins you can earn in the game, but you don't need them at all. You can totally play the entire multiplayer experience without purchasing one thing, and still unlocking it all. I don't get the negative reviews at all, they should really be removed.… Expand

    A true masterpiece of a game.

    Supreme graphics, heart beating Story telling, cool action game play, this game has all of it.

    This was my first game of the Uncharted series I've played, and even the 1st game I;ve played made by NaughtyDog.
    Now I'm gonna play all of the other NaughtyDog games, because I just realized I've missed something, if not a lot!

    The Game Has no mistakes , i couldn't find one ... I Actually Adore it. I Don't like the Online Third Person Shooter but i like it in this one .. Naughty Dog is perfect and all it's games are perfect .. This game is GOTY of 2016 And best Game ever Done on PS4 with The Graphics and Gameplay that i didn't think it will be like it on the Consoles.

    Not as good as The last of us,but still an awesome game.
    Graphics are gorgeous,characters are charming and has their own personality.
    The story is a bit jerky at start,but it gets better in the later part. the gun fight and melee combat is way too similar to The last of us,but still solid. Love the stealth this time,and the buddy system. still enjoying the single player,but this is a    Not as good as The last of us,but still an awesome game.

One guy even went so far to say that Quantum Break was a 10.....c'mon    I tell you what....this game is awesome.

    Now for the review:

    If you've played all of the previous Uncharted games and the Last of us, then you will definitely not be disappointed. The same gorgeous cinematics, the same great game play and the same ridiculously awesome character development that these game have offered time and time again. Naughty Dog hasn't missed a beat with Uncharted 4 and I'm glad they took the time to postpone it a few times to make sure everything was as great as it is now.

    The single player campaign is as great as every other one. Would I say it's the best one? I would say it's hard to beat Uncharted 2 but it's definitely neck and neck. Once I give it a couple of more play throughs, I can definitely give that final verdict at another time. The story drags a little bit in some parts but it isn't as disappointing as some of the critic reviews have said. I was really hoping they would add the crafting and upgrading features that The Last Of Us had, but it isn't a deal break. The game is so fluid and so remarkable that these little features can be passed on. The character interactions are amazing. There's literally parts where if you're climbing on a wall and your brother Sam is next to you, if you have to get over and across from where he is hanging on to, you will grab on his shoulders and then move. These little details is what makes this game great. Most games would make you go around the other character. Theres so much detail in this game it makes you appreciate the amount of work and effort that ND put into it. Simple gestures, body movements and on the fly speaking make the game remarkable.

    The multiplayer is even better than before. I admit, I was a Last of Us multiplayer addict. They added something to PVP in the LAst of Us that no one else was doing and it felt so refreshing to play that game time and time again. I'm glad they brought a good bit of those PVP elements in the Last of us to UC4. Getting kills gets you points, those points are used to upgrade your abilities or whatever else you have available. You get 4 slots of upgrades to you character with a couple of slots for upgrades to your guns as well. The perks and passive abilities are awesome. You can buy a AI helper that follows you around with in match currency that you get from kills, assists and KOs. These AI helpers can be one of three people; A Healer, A Sniper or a Tank. The tank follows you around where you go and starts mowing down people in sight. Think of these things as sort of a Kill Streak reward. There's also the "super" abilities, as Iike to call them. I believe there are 4 different abilities to choose from. Once you get enough funds to purchase it, you get one and when you see a group of enemies close by, drop that super off and start raking in the kills and ko's! There's also an ability that you set down that auto revives any of your fellow teammates that haven't been ko'd yet.

    This is one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life and I will suggest it to anyone. Once the story is done the PVP aspect of the game is so refreshing and fun that you can play it for multiple hours and wonder where the time has gone. There is so much replay power with the PVP portion of the game and I was so impressed with it because most games that have great single player campaigns usually lack in the MP area. This is one of those games that do them both very well, just like the last of us did.    … Expand

I finished it tonight, and realised that, whilst I wasn't crying, I had a lump in my throat.

    Not sure what the scores are in the red zone- or why the average score is 7.9. This is a 10/10 game for me, and one I'll replay for a long time. If you're about to start playing for the first time, I'm jealous as.

    One other thing- I think that playing at least UC 2 and 3 would significantly boost the enjoyment factor of UC 4. Everything just means so much more.    … Expand

Everything you know and love about the series is back, but on a much bigger and much more detailed scale. The stellar shooting and fighting sequences blend together better than ever and the platforming, exploring aspects are a lot smoother and a lot larger than we've seen before. The amazing storytelling we are used to from the developers does not dissappoint once again, and this time it is more personal than we've been used to. The acting/voice acting is also top notch as usual, this cast is so perfect together, their performances are simply flawless. The amount of stuff you can do in the game is also outstanding, you can drive a boat, a jeep, can use a grappling hook to cimb up to places you could not before and of course treasure hunting is back as well. The epic set pieces and spectacular action scenes are here also, and as expected you will solve quite a few interesting puzzles as well. Multiplayer has a bigger focus this time around, and it is a lot of fun. The online battles are always action packed and the level designs are extremely well done. Nathan Drake's entry to the PS4 couldn't be any greater, To simply put, Uncharted 4 is the best video game made thus far. Game Of The Year, nod doubt!!!… Expand

Gameplay wise it does not take any risks at all, but the once solid gameplay mechanics are polished beyond perfection this time arround. Shooting mechanics are improved, fire arms feel realistic, cover system is more reliable this time arround, climbing and jumping feel more responsive and natural. Uncharted 4 introduces a hook, which leads to some fantastic showcase of Nathan Drake's dexterity, and can be used in combat aswell, making the movement across the battlefield feel natural and spectacular. Stealth mechanics where added in this new entry of the series, altough minimal and basic in functions, they add a layer of depth much needed in the series, and can make your work easier when facing large gropus of enemies, though stealth is not forced upon the player at any time, and there are no real punishments for screwing over a stealth aproach, which is a good thing in these series. Uncharted 4 also showcases semi open world enviroments in some of its chapters, and offer a variety of paths to travel into, which is a neat addition to the game, but nowhere as complex as a sandbox game, but its clear that wasn't the developer's intention here.

    Technicalwise, the game is impresive. The graphics are amongst the best i have experienced so far in this generation, standing over games like the Order 1886, Batman Arkham Knight or Bloodborne, at a very solid 30fps, with dips so rare and uncommon they can be labeled unexistent, even at the crazy over the top action set pieces filled with hundreds if not thousands of objects traversing the screen, and many enviromental effects: its a technical masterpiece. Sound design is also great: the voices distort when traversing caves or closed envoriments, so does the sounds of firearms. The atention to detail is exquisite, from one of the most realistic rain effects ever seen, to the underwater explotions lightning the water at the beggining of the game, or the distortion of shadows standing on water, or the surface of water being disturbed by the wind, or the light piercing over the treetops to land on a muddy surface: this is the most alive gaming world yet, when it comes to its enviroments and setting. Facial expresions are extremely realistic, and set a benchmark for games to come in the future.

    Story wise the game is also great, but it comes with some pacing problems at the early chapters, but still it does make up for it with great character development and narrative fundations which flourish at the later chapters. Nathan's brother, Sam, ends up being one of the best characters in the series, and its relationship with his brother Nate feels natural and well written, specially by the work of its voice actor, Troy Baker, one of the best in the industry.

    This 4th installment of the Uncharted franchise is also the longest, and by its end, the player feels a true sense of closure for one of the gaming industry greatest aventure series. Naughty Dog has proven once again videogames are to be taking seriously, and certainly the next gen begins when Naughty Dog decides to.

    Uncharted 4 is a most own for every ps4 owner, and a must play for every gamer out there wise enough to ignore exclusivity and brand borders, in search of one of gaming's most intense adventures yet.    … Expand

    I found the story engaging, the graphics and animations top notch. The problem I find with these types of game set in real life is that Nathan Drake, Lara Croft or whatever protagonist it may be has to kill hundreds and hundreds of hench men which is kinda unbelievable, it also makes them seem like half- sociopaths for killing all these guys.. i mean i know they are 'bad', but still. AtI found the story engaging, the graphics and animations top notch. The problem I find with these types of game set in real life is that Nathan Drake, Lara Croft or whatever protagonist it may be has to kill hundreds and hundreds of hench men which is kinda unbelievable, it also makes them seem like half- sociopaths for killing all these guys.. i mean i know they are 'bad', but still. At least in TLOU, they kill the infected, and in a post apocolyptic world everyone is desperate for survival, which leaves more varied enemies and also more strategy and different types of gameplay. They also arent forced to vary the gameplay by adding long platforming sequences. Even with a more fantasy type world like Batman its more believable because hes batman and can use his gizmos and equipment, and well... he doesnt actually kill anymore. Anyway, for what it is, its a good game, and i know and feel they put their hearts and souls into it.… Expand

    old and new characters are introduced and they all have their moments to shine, my favorite was sam(nate brother). he is a funny companion and a knowledgeable explorer, their relationship throughout the game felt real and human,something not many video games succeed in.
    This is a short review of the game and I can talk all day about the amazing locations, surreal graphics and an awesome multiplayer, so in short I'd recommend this game to new and old playstation 4 owners, this is a true masterpiece.    … Expand

Gameplay wise there are massive improvements on pacing, with a better balance between combat, climbing and puzzling extended with driving, diving and most importantly character development moments. You can clearly seeI don't easily give a full score, but uncharted 4 deserves it. It manages to wash away the slight disappointment of uncharted 3 and delivers a worthy finale to the series. You can clearly see the influence of the last of us on this game, as the writing and actngs is top notch and making this the most personal and character driven adventure of drake so far, Troy Baker is a great addition to the cast as Sam, but really Emily Rose steals the show as her best outing as Elena yet. And did I mention the game looks and sounds absolutely gourgeous. The jaw dropping vista really set some new benchmarks for game graphics. An absolutely amazing experience, definitely a GOTY contender and a must buy for anyone owning a ps4. Note, I haven't checked mp yet but really it's the sp experience is what the game is really about.… Expand

    This game is stunnig, just like the past 2 games (The first one and Golden Abyss are good but not incredible) you will be always at the edge of the coach, great sequences of driving, exploring, shooting all mixed up in a way you wanna continue and continue, that with an incredible script make it a must have for the PS4 and for this console-gen.
    PD I think the game deserves a 9.5

    This is what I call perfection.
    Uncharted 4, the best game I've played on PS4 so far, the best game in the Uncharted series, and definitely one of the very best I've ever played in my life.
    11/10.
    PS: Like someone said before, Naughty Dog deserves a Nobel Prize for this.

    Anyway, 7.5 hours into this game and it still has its surprises! The pacing is wonderful. The controls have been tweeked. The animations are even richer and more natural. The story telling is engaging. On top of all that, there    What else is there left to be said that hasn't been said before? Overlord phil spent all the $$$ for a TIMED exclusivity for tomb girl and fell flat on his face.

    Washington post can kiss my .... The game is a truly master piece! I love Tomb Raider and Uncharted so much but the final chapter for Nathan Journey is one of the best games i ever play !

    Uncharted 4 caps off a series with a masterful and emotionally epic finale.

    Voice acting, animation, game mechanics, and especially visuals are all top of class, and makes Uncharted 4 the best exclusive title this generation, and one of the best titles out on PS4.

    im only 13 chapters into the story mode and i'm already addicted this game has out done all the other uncharted games by a mile. If you own a ps4 there is no excuse on why you shouldn't buy this game.

    The graphics are unreal, you spend a lot of time just looking around and drooling at how beautiful everything looks. Even indoors, the detail of every room and object is simply outstanding. This is how a game should be developed.

    The gameplay is fun, refreshing and extremely suspenseful throughout. It doesn't give you the time to get bored and it lets you master your own style of play and create the Drake you want to create.

    The story is the star of the show however. All Uncharted games had a pretty solid story for a video-game, but this one tops them, and by a pretty big margin. The story is carefully planned, interesting, intelligent, developing the characters along the way, and keeping you extremely entertained throughout. The diallogues, the action, it all comes together perfectly.

    10/10 by far. If all devs will approach games like Naughty Dog do, gaming would be a much, much more interesting and evolved place. Congrats Naughty Dog and congrats Sony.    … Expand

    Having missed the Uncharted series on PS3, I recently decided to purchase the Nathan Drake Collection for my PS4 and give them a shot. Managed to finish the 3rd one just before Uncharted 4 came out, found them to be enjoyable.

    This one is more of the same, if you enjoyed the first 3 then you will love it, if not then you won't.     The typical fanboys are out in force on this one....1 side giving it a 10/10 - MASTERPIECE!!! & the other giving it a 0/10 - PAID REVIEWERS..................

    I'd say the game deserves an 8/10 - Rating 8

    Some new features (the jeep mostly)
    THE Easter Egg....(If you've played it you'll know what I mean)

    Negatives:

    Uncharted 4 changed the wheel when it came to making an Uncharted game. I cannot give this game enough praise. It was absolutely perfect and finally tells the complete tale of Nathan Drake.

    The best game ever made in the entire history of humanity! this game is the reason why I have a Play station 4. I never saw graphics like this before,Naughty Dog did it again, and is teaching the video game industry how a video game should be done. From the game play to the storytelling this is a masterpiece, so do me a favor and play it ASAP!!!!!

    It's a ND game, so it's unfair to score these on the same scale we use for non-ND games, as they would all be 10s in comparison.

    But, yes, as expected, UC4 is our first contender for Game of the Generation. Fine maybe Bloodborne too.

Epic story, excellent voice acting and characters, fun well-paced gameplay, brilliant set pieces, greatHaving actually finished the game (unlike a lot of users here, it seems) I can tell you this is not only THE best looking game ever made on any platform (yes, that includes PC, and I'm a PC enthusiast), it's also one of the most well-designed 3rd person games I've ever played. Epic story, excellent voice acting and characters, fun well-paced gameplay, brilliant set pieces, great multiplayer...this game has it all.

    Can't tell you how many times my jaw dropped while playing, whether it was from the stupidly gorgeous vistas that seem to be around every corner that make you want to walk slowly and take it all in, or the absolute bananas set pieces that have Nate surviving one seemingly impossible circumstance after another. It's so nice to see a developer care so much about their games. You can really tell they love Uncharted and their fans, and that the employees at Naughty Dog are treated well. Every inch of this game seems meticulously designed with love.

    No matter what platform you favor, you owe it to yourself as a gamer to play Uncharted 4. And if you've played and enjoyed the other Uncharted games, you're in for one hell of a ride.    … Expand

    From start to finish the game is an action packed thrill ride. Uncharted 4 takes you to a variety of countries. The graphics are incredible. The gameplay has been hugely improved from uncharted 3 with the shooting been hugely improved. YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS GAME

    Uncharted 4 isn't a revelation in action set-pieces or storytelling. However, Uncharted 4 continues the tradition of incredible Naughty Dog games by tightening up the shooting, providing incredible action, and giving strong writing with great environmental storytelling. Play this game if you like games and have a PS4.

    Uncharted 4 is a different beast. I'd say it feels naughtydog wanted to grow the game with it's loyal audience. This game is a bit darker and feels more like a drama with hints of comedy as opposed to the previous games having a relaxed comedic feel. UC 4 is enjoyable in a different way, as always naughtydog did a superb job with animations, voice acting, story and character to character dialog. If you are someone that loves a good drama movie then you will enjoy this game.

    I'd say this game ranges in the middle between uncharted 2 and last of us in the emotions you have when you play it. Sometimes it will have that pure uncharted 2 feeling where you are just enjoying yourself swinging around snapping necks and kill baddies, they've included a hint of stealth similar to assassins creed black flag.
    Then you'll have moments where it feels you are playing a game like the last of us. The story will get darker and more serious. I think this is why a lot of people don't like it.    … Expand

    Graphics: Breathtaking. I had a headache just thinking of how much work was put on the scenarios. Not to mention the setpieces that destroy them in creative ways to marvel the user with a visual spectacle.

    Sound: My personal favorite is Uncharted 2 in terms of original soundtrack, but this one was really setting the mood of the game.

    I read some reviews saying the story is "generic". Generic as in... what exactly? I don't usually see a story about two great pirates rectruiting 12 of the most known pirates to build a Utopia of sorts, then have the user see how the story unfolded through Nathan theories.

    Just the historic take on so many events makes it unable to be perceived as generic. it does have some tropes, but that's impossible to avoid as of now.

    The amount of work to make something like Uncharted, and make it right, is something only naughty dog and a few other companies can do.

    "Oh yeah, we're gonna make this and that" - lots of people have good ideas. Let's put some S.XVII stuff in here... Okay, but is it all really gonna look like it belongs to s.XVII? this is what makes the studio great. They have their research, their make their pre-production work perfectly... and when it goes live it all looks coherent. That alone is an achievement.

    Houses from nowadays, old mansions, Italian mansions, s.XVII mansions and houses. Theorical takes on prime engineering in that age. While the past games took a lot more of the fantasy approach, this tale was completely set in reality.

    If you like the previous uncharted games, you will love this one. In my opinion, this is the best uncharted yet. as everyone else has said, the graphics are phenomenal. the game play is tighter than it has ever been, and the story is really good in my opinion too. It's a definite 10 in my book.

(Only DICE does this equally, or sometimes better, IMHO) The interplay between characters amidst the story that unfolds is quintessential Naughty Dog....who is just the best in delivering along these lines. Everything is at once familiar yet more polished and refined in every respect. I met with 1, maybe 2 glitchy moments on my first playthrough on normal difficulty....which was by no means easy. Several firefights had me dying multiple times before figuring out how to clear the arena before I could move on. Or retrying a particularly difficult climbing/navigation sequence to get to the next check point. I was challenged and remained delighted. The end felt noble.....right......if a bit post-climactic. Overall, supremely satisfying as an end to the series. Well done, Naughty Dog. Makes me proud and feel lucky to own a PS4 :)… Expand

    1. During my playthrough I have encountered only one minor glitch which was fixed by reloading save. That is unique to current generation. 2. I'm a programmer and it's hard not to notice that this game    Initial notice - I usually give 10s to games that are very unique and are usually "just one in a decade".     2. I'm a programmer and it's hard not to notice that this game is a technical masterpiece. It has easily the best visuals I have ever seen on any platform. It's amazing considering PS4's limitations.

    Let's move to proper review.

    This game is a wonderful and worthy ending to Uncharted series. I was really afraid of bad story or ending that would damage earlier game's good reputation. The introduction of Nate's brother was especially risky because we have never heard about him in earlier games but surprisingly it has worked.

    Gameplay is really fun. If you played earlier Uncharted games you will grasp controls instantly because this game is evolution of formula (instead of revolution). There are a few fun additions to mechanics like rope with hook and piton. There's much less shooting in favor of exploring. What's new is that you can now sneak past enemies in bushes/buildings behind walls and take them out silently.

    Graphics are amazing. I believe this is the best looking game across all platforms right now. Environments are diversified and stunning to look at. The world feels a tad more open although it's really not.

    Sounds and soundtrack are really good. All actors did a great job while programmers and animators made sure that lipsync and facial expressions are spot on.

    This game took me 18 hours to finish in semi-leisure mode. It's one of those games I wanted to play again just after I finished it (unfortunately I lent it my friends, so I'll have to wait. :)).

    It's nothing new, but what the game promised to deliver it delivered. What was delivered was of top quality. This is how you make Indiana Jones like action game.    … Expand

It's not bad in any sense of the imagination, just not super, i guess i have gotten a bit tired of climbing around for 50% of 4 games.

    Story is good, but it's not really great. It felt detached from the previous games. For it to be a great grand ending to the series, i kind of would have wanted a Treasure that was foreshadowed in all of the previous games and tied in with the earlier installments. Instead we get a story of Nates personal life, his inability to balance his "normal life" with the adventurous life he has lead thus far. Trust is the center of the games message, and it reminds us of that several times.
    The villain of the game is kind of bland, he reminds me of the main villains of the previous games, in fact he does so a lot.
    It's good, however it could have been better.

    Action is decent, ok weapon feel. Just ok though, nothing great, however i think very few people buy this game for the action. It's pretty much a movie :).

    Puzzles are too easy, would have been ok without the book or at least Nate scribbling down every little thing. Well i guess him not doing so would have made little sense.

    Uncharted 4 is a great ending to a great franchise. The game was not too long nor was it short. It was just the perfect length. Towards the end of the game you will feel a little sad during some cutscenes not knowing what will happen.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I started playing this series only from uncharted 2 and I was like what the hell was that . I mean at that time that was the best game I've ever played. And then my expectations for uncharted 3 got bigger and I was very much with that. Then naughty dogs delivered an other masterpiece with the last of us. Naughty dogs is one such studio which can satisfy all the gamers.

    Uncharted 4- omg this is one of the best games I've ever played. It is similar to uncharted 2 where it starts with the present day and and goes to the flash back l. The screenplay in this game is excellent. The game starts off slowly and you can see sequence which are almost similar to the last of us and they've used it well.
    Though the game starts slowly there is not a single sequence which feels boring. The naughty dogs has done an excellent job in bringing back crash bandicoot. I was smiling the entire moment when I was that game. The sad thing you'll be able to play that only at the end. All the characters in the are used excellently and are given equal importance. Though Khloe and cutter are not in the game there are some reference to them. The graphics of this game has set a benchmark for others games. This is the best looking game after order 1886 and syndicate. This is the first time where you can drive a car and it really feels good. The rope is fun to use. Takedown with the rope puts a smile on your always and it feels satisfying. The stealth mechanics are some what similar to the last of us l. Unlike previous uncharted games you can avoid using guns. The story is excellent and they've done justice in bringing Sam in the last game of the series. The scene where Sam and drake meets Rafe and Nadine were awesome. The only thing which made me feel sad was the gameplay time. I finished the game in two days playing in hard difficulty.

    Uncharted is sure a masterpiece and is 10/10 for me.

    Beautiful Visuals - Like the last three games in the series once again Naughty Dog show that when put in the hands of the right developer you can have a game that look, sounds and play good as well

    Lengthy Single Player campaign - With over 22 chapters in the game it will take you about 13 hours to complete (depending on what difficultly you pick and engage in finding hidden treasure in each chapters and partaking in the optional conversations that appear in each chapters then the game might be a little bit longer). For someone who enjoys games that have a strong single player content this is good.

    Solid Third Person Shooter Mechanics - For me the controls (in regards to the shooting part) are spot on. While you can turn on the aim assist in the option menu I chose to turn it off. As for the the other parts the hand to hand combat it good and I definitely like the stealth elements they added to Uncharted 4

    Cons.

    Ok Hand to Hand Combat - While I won’t goes as far as saying the hand to hand combat in Uncharted 4 is bad (by all means its not) I have to say its not as good as the ones found in the WB games like the Batman Arkham series or last year Mad Max. to me it doesn’t feel as fluid as those games were.

    30fps for the campaign - While certainly not terrible I find it odd (and somewhat disappointing) that the single player mode can run at 30fps while the multiplayer (which I’m not really good at though) runs at 60fps. Maybe its me but to me this is odd because Doom recently came out and that game is able to run at 60fps on both the campaign and the multiplayer.

    Overall - Its sad that this is probably Nathan Drake last adventure (which is sad by the way) but if this is his last adventure then to me it’s going out with a bang. Uncharted 4 is a personal favorite of mine on the PS4 and its definitely worth your time and money.    … Expand

    I thought this just have great graphics. But story is amazing. This is like a movie. Many thrilling scenes. Movies can't be like this good. I don't like movies at all. I like video games. They have very cool story.

    I don't like shooting games. It gets boring. I played shooting games because I just like the story and places. I want to adventure the fiction.

    Uncharted 4lives up to all my exspectations. All i wanted was awesome multiplayer and a great story, and thats exactly what i wanted. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay feels great and the story is full of twists and turns. Thank you naughty dog for this amazing game.

    Let's talk graphics first: You have probably heard countless times about this games graphics, but I will say it has by far the best graphics I have ever seen full stop. The textures, the environments, the character models and pretty much everything else is jaw droppingly beautiful! Easily the best graphics I have ever seen full stop.

    The gameplay is seamless and enjoyable. It never gets boring. There is a perfect blend between shootouts, explosive set pieces and exploration. As for the latter this game demands exploration far more than any of the other games ever did, the environments are so open that you just want to explore and revel in the sheer beauty of it all. Not to mention to try and find the many scattered treasures and also find optional conversations (like in the last of us) and journal notes and entries.

    I will be honest there are not as many set pieces as in the previous two games, but if I am being honest that is actually and surprisingly a good thing. When I first heard that there wasn't as many set pieces as in the previous games I was disappointed, but the story and gameplay and exploration is what makes this game so great. However the set pieces which there are still plenty of are better than in the other games, they feel more seamless and unexpected than the previous games and makes you grin when you play through them. Also the car chase in Madagascar you saw in E3 is flipping spectacular to play yourself it will blow you through the rooftops.

    The story is also fantastic, you deeply care for all of the characters, the same can be said for all Uncharted games, but this ones make the characters especially Nathan Drake feel much more human. There are twists and turns and one especially that I never saw coming. I haven't completed the game yet, I am on level 20 of 22 so I am close enough that I can review the game properly, but I can't say how good (or bad) the ending is as I haven't quite experienced it yet.

    Finally the online multiplayer is also great fun and very well balanced. It envelops the feel of the single player campaign perfectly and is great team based fun. The only things that I am disappointed with is that there is no ranking points at all and there are no where near as many game modes as in Uncharted 3. There is no free for all, three team deathmatch, survivor mode. So for me that was very disappointing but what is there is phenomenal and will keep you entertained for hours.

    Also there is one easter egg at the very beginning of the game (Don't worry I will not spoil what it is) that if you are a long time Playstation or Naughty dog fan it will literally make your jaw drop to the floor in absolute delight and nostalgia. It also cannot be missed!

The new stealth gameplay is also good, and the grappling hook makes the platforming even more fun.

    The graphics and sound are both some of the best in the industry, and I would say that this is the best looking PS4 game. The game also as lots of collectibles which are fun to find, fun campaign modifiers such as weapons and skins and graphic filters which give it lots of replay-ability.

    Lastly, the game comes with a fun and balanced multiplayer. It isn't as deep as some others such as Cod, Halo or Gears, but they have added 2 free maps and new skins and weapons since launch. If they added a new game mode along with another map I would be satisfied with the content. As it stands, I play it every once and a while but I wouldn't say I put any more than 6 hours into it.    … Expand

    The story. Uncharted has always have had the over the top, fun, exciting treasure hunter story that we all know and love. It always has the funny relaxed moments and picks back up to the seriousness of what is going on. Neil Druckmann has captured something so beautiful and surprising that we haven't seen in Uncharted before. A story that is developed off of Nathan Drakes past but is now came back to effect him, his wife, his friends, and now his brother we have just found out about. It truly is a remarkable story telling and almost wished there was more to come. So in a way, it is bitter sweet but couldn't have asked for a better ending.

    Gameplay. It has been ramped up from previous titles. They put new elements in it that just makes you want to utilize the world around you more to take out the enemies. The rappelling hook is such a simple idea.. but also a big game changer. The AI has definitely improved on how they act and think compared to previous installments. They aren't as predictable. They will try to flank you, they will throw grenades at the worse possible moment for you to get you out of cover so they other can shoot at you. Also, whoever is with Nathan Drake and is helping you out is not useless anymore. They actually feel helpful. Especially when you are in tight situations and you absolutely feel the need to scream like HEY what the hell is my brother doing?! help!? he does just in the right time. Brings me to the hand to hand combat. All I have to say is man, punches actually look like they hurt on this game. They dynamic screen close up and shaking of the fighting just makes it so enjoyable to punch people in the face.

    The graphics. The graphics are the best the PS4 has to offer. If you want to see how well a company can utilize what I think mediocre hardware in today's standards, this is the game. It seriously one of the best graphics and animations I have ever seen, and I play all my games maxed out on my pc. The world is so gorgeous. It is just insane on how they pulled this off with the PS4. It just sinks you in, and you get lost to the beautiful landscape. Such a jaw dropper.

    I seriously cannot think of a single flaw of this game. Once again, Naughty Dog has brought one of the best games I have ever played. Truly a remarkable game.    … Expand

    Incredibly refined piece of art and game. Huge playground to explore and do gunfights. Gorgeous visuals. Overall, didn't quite do it for me though coz Elena played such a small part. Its a bromance story afterall. Endured the headache-inducing 30fps. Can't imagine how sweet if it'd been done on PC + VR! I'm not sure if I can stomach the mid-air swings and drops. *gulp* Its scary enough in 2D!

I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]
