One of the best games of all time. Amazing story-line and dialogue with some of the best set-pieces in the franchise even though there are just a few of them. An awesome end to a beloved series.

SIC PARVIS MAGNA. This is the greatness that was born from Uncharted 1-3, this should be the Magnum Opus for action-adventure games that consist of the most coherent of stories. This game, felt like an actual adventure, everything was sparkling with realism. It is gritty, it makes believe. It's inspiring. Never have I felt so inclined to review a video game on a website. This game has character, it has a heart. It's not about taking cover, throwing back grenades, and killing swarm of mercenaries in a row anymore. This game felt personal. The weight of the urge for just one more adventure, let the heroes of the game grow. The antagonists felt as if they had a genuine purpose to prove their OWN worth, it wasn't about a mere lost city, it had INTRIGUE in the subplot that revolved around the Pirates whose treasure the Drake Brothers were seeking. This game, out of the 4, is how I will remember Nathan and Sam Drake, Victor Sullivan and Elena Fisher. The gameplay worked, for it wasn't solely about gameplay. Expand

The environments themselves tell a story unlike the previous titles, with a sense of history and uncertainty that only the last of us can really match. The heavier narrative is perfectly justified by the game's premise, with a more subdued and nuanced approach to gameplay and pacing. Some players may feel disappointed by the lack of over the top set-piece moments, that were present in previous games, and the absence of certain characters. However, again, this is all perfectly justified by the approach Naughty Dog has taken with Uncharted 4. Upon completion of the game, the player is simply marveled by the depth and care that was taken in this final chapter. Expand

I hated the first 3 games, but Uncharted 4 was pretty amazing.

I've just completed it and I for once didn't feel like it was constant boring shooting of armies of people. Sure there was a bit of that in there, but when you consider the length, it makes up for really little. The best part of the game was the story, for me it felt more like one of those walking simulators, where you just take in the surroundings and enjoy the story. It was a story I could actually enjoy as well, which is rare for these types of games, the characters were amazing ad the animation made it s believable. Rise of the Tomb Raider just never hit home for me because everyone looks so dead eyed while talking to each other.

I tried to play through the first three games recently and I still hate them, I don't think they were good games. However Uncharted 4 fixes most of the issues I had and then just excels immensely with the story. The only thing I can pick at the game for is how you have to keep giving boosts when you've jumped further than that, you have to keep finding the same looking box with wheels to get up places. Also another weird thing is how you have to keep lifting fallen beams to get through passages, when you can easily fit around three people through at once.

Amazing experience, but I do wish the Neo came before it as you can tell where they cut the corners.. mainly on the character shadows. There is also this weird effect where everything looks like it is made out of thousands of dots, that fades in and out even when objects are really close, like they had to work aggressively on the LoD to get it to look as good as it does on the PS4.

The multiplayer is really fun ,even though I have only played a couple of hours ,but so far it has been a ton of fun to play. So in short I'd say ,this game is worth every penny ,if not more , and if you attack this game for no reason ,then you don't deserve to be called a gamer but just another stupid internet hater. Oh, Naughty Dog. When are you gonna mess up? I'm playing this game, scaling a clocktower while staring over a city in Madagascar. Nothing crazy is happening. I'm not being shot at; I'm not in any particular danger (okay, I'm dangling perilously at the top of a huge-ass clocktower), but I'm having fun. In fact, I'm having an absolute blast.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is not a disappointment by any means, I'll clear that up. In fact, it exceeds expectations. I'll start off with a spoiler-free set-up about the game's main story. Nathan Drake is retired from illegal treasure hunting. He lives with his beautiful wife, Elena, and leads a relatively normal life. That all ends once his brother, Sam Drake, who Nathan thought was dead for 15 years, shows up. Basically Sam is in trouble and needs Nathan's help. I won't tell you why. Nathan reluctantly agrees. I won't tell you why. That's how it all starts. The story starts simple but once it starts, it starts. This was definitely my favorite story of the Uncharted series. It's emotional and I really got sucked in. It was just like The Last of Us where I was sucking in every little detail. The end is great. It didn't have my jaw dropping like The Last of Us, but I did love it. The characters are incredible, and the without the amazing characterization the whole story would've crumbled. I loved Nolan North as Nathan Drake, and Troy Baker's Sam Drake is one of my favorite additions in gaming. Both of their performances are witty and powerful and I can't think of any other people who'd be any better. All other performances are great too. Elena and Sully are back, which is great, but I really liked the villains, Nadine and Rafe. I enjoyed Nadine's badassery a little bit more than Rafe's whineyness at times, but he is definitely not the stereotype I'm used to seeing. Both of their motivations make sense. It's just that I just wish I had seen more of these villains. The thing is, the villains aren't a key to the actual storyline of this game, they are more of a conflict; the occasional bullet barrier between Nathan and his next checkpoint. I'm fine with this because the main story is so brilliant, but I wanted more from the villains sometimes. I wanted more of the villains, especially Nadine.

The relationships between characters are incredible, and most importantly, believable. While you may never encounter marriage issues dealing with treasure hunting, the main themes behind each of them is where I could relate. I loved every onscreen interaction between Nathan and Elena. They are officially my favorite gaming couple, and that's because they are the most believable. Emily Rose's performance helped a lot, but I can see how much the Naughty Dog writing staff cares about these characters that they have spent more that a decade with (if you count how much Drake's Fortune was in production). I wish that Sully was in a bit more of the game, but it would have been forced and unnecessary. What he has right now makes sense. Sam is still just a great and complex character, and his relationship with Nathan really pulled my heartstrings. The flashbacks to when they were kids may slow down the action front, but it helps establish an important connection between two characters in the story. Naughty Dog has become so smart with cinematic storytelling through the years, and the way character relationships are expressed piles onto the evidence as to why.

When it comes to gameplay, the series has been vastly improved. Previous Uncharted shootouts were sometimes a hassle and I didn't always look forward to the long fights that I knew were coming. Not anymore. Uncharted 4's combat is addictive. If you click on my statistics, it may look like I'm one of the worst players of all time. The amount of restarted checkpoints I have is insane. That's really only because I restart encounters just to replay an amazing combat sequence. Melee is great, and the weapons have power. There's just so much more variety to each encounter now, and I noticed this when I saw all of my combat routes. Other Uncharted games had more enclosed combat encounters. Uncharted 4's combat encounters offer much more ways to take down your foes. My favorite is going stealthy. I can see the influences that Naughty Dog took from The Last of Us. I've taken out whole units without being noticed multiple times. I've also destroyed them by going guns blazing when I restart the same encounter, showing just how many options there are. People are also going to love the rope. There's going to be a lot of swinging in the game, and it's pretty damn fun. I have one complaint when it comes to combat and it's that there isn't enough. I wanted more of that amazing gameplay, and I got more platforming than combat. The platforming is terrific, though, so my complaints are trivial.

Hands down the best game on PS4 so far, one of the best games of all time period, best third person shooter gameplay ever, best third person shooter multiplayer mode ever, best graphics ever in a video game (so far, and yes, even compared to 4k games on PC), possibly the best sound design and voice acting ever in a game, and one of the best conclusions to a series ever.

Added to it a fun, fast passed and polished gameplay, and some really ''wow'' moments, whether for breathtaking action sequences or for the stunning visuals. This game is probably the best looking one i've seen.

In conclusion, Uncharted 4 is an amazing end to this classic legacy and i'm already feeling sad by thinking that Nathan's adventures came to and end. Best game of 2016 so far (easily).

The gameplay was improved at most part and the use of the rope mechanic and stealth is more than welcome to the game, but I would have loved to see upgrades like The Last of Us gave and ways of punishment if the player was only using one tactic or strategy making a deeper mechanics in gameplay. The graphics were phenomenal and it is the best one to date that I have seen, also the environment, lighting, physics, and character interaction was beautifully done and made the game more atmospheric and immersive. The voice acting is still the best that any video game can offer, the dialogue gave life to the characters, the pacing was good too making not only the brother's relationship beneficial to the story but also made the brother a lovable character. The single player just gave the best there is to this game and even without the multiplayer you will get your money's worth. I rate this game a 10/10! Not only is this game a revolutionary game for the PS4 but it is revolutionary for the whole gaming industry. This game might not be for everyone, but the great majority surely loved this game because of what it offers. But I have to admit that U4 really gave me a sense of adventure/uncovering mysteries, at a level that no other game has ever given me. The action senes are the best in any game I've ever seen, the level design is so good that I can't distinguish it from real life (Play ch.3 to know what I mean), the gameplay and animations transition perfectly into each other, the character animations are flawless, and the graphics OH MY GOD. I believe they're really pushing the PS4 almost to its exact limit. Graphics really can't get much better than that. Of course graphics arn't the main point of the game. Uncharted 4s story is just unbelievable. The characters are amazing like Elena Fisher, Nathan, Samuel, and Sullivan. Uncharted 4 is more about family and friends than any other. It makes sense because the same people who wrote the game wrote Last of Us, which was all about family and relationships. You feel a true connection which feels weird to say but its true. In the game you dig deeper than ever before into nathans life. Chapter 3 is one of those times you dig deep into Nathans current life, dealing with his past. The chapter is said to be a bit to long but I feel that it was just the right lenghth and pacing for me to really absorb it all. I found it nice to see them living a normal life. The bad guys were kind of interesting but kind of forgot about them for some of the story. But seeing them in action was cool. The puzzles are a real challenge and fun too. The main plot is also great and very emotionaly driven than anything else. The only flaw with the game is the slightly underwelming villins. Plus the multiplayer is a blast to. Expand

For me this is a quantum leap ahead of the previous Uncharted games (and those were pretty spectacular). It is astonishing to see all the characters coming to life with the most exquisite facial detail and flawless animation. Then there is the story, the dramatic structure, the incredible locations, the characters, the dialogue, the action, the puzzles, the cinematography, the sound track... all so far ahead of anything I have seen or heard before.

To quote The Guardian newspaper, "With our video game reviews we reserve a five-star rating for games that we think everyone should experience, that are so interesting or impressive in certain areas that they transcend any flaws, limitations or genre concerns. Uncharted 4 is certainly in that category. "

I genuinely feel sorry for gamers who are unable to experience this game (including the many that have posted false reviews on this site).

I would say this game is the best so far in adventure&TPS genre. Naught Dog really knows how to deliver a well organized story. The run and gun is fun and tense, the graphic is amazing and the characters are well depicted. It's hard to say goodbye but this might be the perfect ending. So long, Nate.

Fantastic game. Best game of the franchise and year thus far. The graphics, gameplay and story are all top-notch. Even though the set-pieces in this game are thinly spread out, they are exciting and absolutely mind-boggling. A worthy send off for one of gaming's greatest characters.

The strongest point in this game is of course it's story, from the beginning to the end there was never a dull moment at all. As a 3rd person shooter game, the stealth mechanics in this game is well done which in my opinion is a good thing since most of today triple a games don't really focus on the stealth mechanics in games. There are a few reason why i din't give this game a 10 out of 10 it because that some of chapter could feel a little too repetitive with how they drag out the game length with unnecessary obstacles which could be frustrating at times. The puzzle in the games is well design but there are a few puzzle which i personally think was too easy at times or just plain boring. Overall this game deserve the praise it gets and i think it's one of the few better 3rd person game out there. If you own a ps4, please do your self a favor and get this game. Expand

It totally blew me away. Whether it was the train sequence through the jungle ending in the snowy Himalayas to the helicopter scene in Nepal, nothing can match the innovation in Uncharted 2.

Uncharted 4 doesn't really offer anything new per se. It's a lot of rehash (not necessarily a bad thing). Because it was released 5 years later on a more updated console I did expect more. I expected creativity, ideas, and innovation. We didn't really get that here. I was kind of let down by that.

Don't get me wrong, it's the best Uncharted game of the series. I just wish there was more breakthrough.

Good gun play, not too much but just enough for me. Nice exploration sections. A constant joy to control. Good varied gameplay, some climbing, shooting, sneaking, driving (the off road vehicle is great, with good use of its winch), swimming/diving, hanging, dragging along behind a truck while bikers shoot you from left and right. The list goes on. Basically this is a fantastic return to form.

I liked the 2nd Uncharted the most, and think this one matches it toe to toe. They haven't added too much more to the formula, but what has been added is very welcome. Basically I can't wait for Uncharted 5, although I wonder whether it'll be about Cassie or Sam Drake. I'm somewhat saddened that this is Nate's last adventure, but it's a delightful send off.

Uncharted is definitely my favourite gaming series and I can honestly say that Uncharted 4 does a great job in being another stellar installment of the franchise, whilst ending the story of Nathan Drake. Whilst I do prefer Uncharted 2 by a slight margin overall, mainly due to its pacing and plot, Uncharted 4 does come a fair second in terms of the big step-up from the slight disappointment that was Uncharted 3. The story, as ever, is still very engaging and all the characters, both old and new, are fun to watch and practically all fleshed out to a satisfactory degree. The levels are longer and more expansive, and whilst definitely not open-world, they're still far from being linear and a good choice to make for this current gaming generation. My only gripe would be that looking back they could almost be too long, especially when compared to those in the previous games, adding to the game's run time of what took me 17 hours. But as it's Uncharted, the game as a whole does a good job of making you forget about its length (and anyone who grows bored of it early on isn't clearly suited to what the series offers). Gameplay-wise, it's improved by quite a wide margain from 3 as you'd expect, with more impressive-climbing sections, as well as the addition of Nate's grappling hook which certainly makes things more exciting, especially when used in combat. When you do engage in fighting off enemies, gunplay noticeably packs a bit more punch than usual and it's nice to see the little things added into the game like the addition of crosshairs turning red so you know the enemy in cover you've just shot is definitely dead. Stealth has been amplified too so it's turned into more of a basic version of MGSV mixed with Assassin's Creed, meaning enemies have an "aware bar" above their heads, for example. And thankfully you can now take out entire areas of enemies stealthily, which is something that was never possible in previous ND games. In terms of the graphics and visuals, Uncharted 4 stands heads and tails above anything else, with character models looking and reacting very realistically, and at times you can't help but stop to gaze at the gorgeous scenery in the game, before taking a range of in-game snapshots to save. It's definitely the most beautiful game I've played, and without spoiling anything, you'll be treated to a good variety of different environments on Nate's globe-trotting adventure. Audio-wise, this was my only real gripe with the game. It was made by a different composer other than Greg Edmonson, and you can tell if you've played the others. There are less of the pulse-pounding and thrilling soundtracks from 2 and 3, however this was probably intentional as 4 is the last chapter in the series and they were aiming for a more melancholy feel. That, and the fact the full rendition of Nate's Theme is non-existing (for the same reason I'm sure). Nevertheless, where the music picks up in some of the action sequences, it does a very good job of it.
Overall, I feel Uncharted 4 is the perfect end to Nate's story and another brilliant chapter in the Uncharted franchise. Whilst I think it falls short of Uncharted 2 in one or two aspects, everything else has been improved to a satisfactory degree and fans of the series will not be disappointed.

It also has the best multiplayer this series ever has (imo) hands down. These four concepts are perfect in this game, Naughty Dog really refined the gunplay and gameplay in this game nicely. The characters in this game are the same loveable bunch from previous uncharted, except for Sam; and this is where the hiccups begin for this game. You stick with Sam for like 75% of this game, and his character just wasn't very interesting, I didn't care for him. In a game where story rules all, having a character that's generic and rather predictable takes away from game a lot. The villains are also meh in this game, without trying to spoil anything the twist in the story was disappointing and rather predictable. Overall the story teeter'd from predictable to good for me personally, but I did enjoyed the ending. The gameplay overall was pretty good, I loved the open-linear world, it helped added oomph to the gamelength, and most locations were interesting and treasure hunting was great. The combat sections were amazing, I loved the level designs of it, you can approach from so many angles and directions it was very fun, the stealth was a welcome addition (more optiions is never a bad thing). The guns are less wonky, and enemies are less bullet sponges, just overall amazing. The only parts I didn't like was that the game's pacing can get pretty slow, it's borderline walking (or climbing) simulator for major chunks of this game. This wouldn't had been a problem had the game's story was amazing, but it was good and nothing more. The set action pieces for uncharted (it's trademark imo) is pretty good (would've been better had it not been spoiled by game trailers). Overall I did think the game was really good, add in the fun and tactical multiplayer and this is certainly a day one buy with great longevity. 9.0/10. On a personal side note: I also thought this was a great sendoff for the series, because honestly I feel like there's just not much we haven't seen anymore, form this game or genre; anyone who has played all four knows what I'm talking about. Cons:

    - Some nonsensical ludonarrative dissonance (which actually is even admitted in a PS trophy) elements. Like the fact that the protagonist acts like he is not a killer during cutscenes, but during gameplay sections he can kill dozens (potentially hundreds or thousands for multiple playthroughs) of people just to conclude his quest. This fact broke my immersion while playing. Might happen to the reader too.
    - Unnecessary (and expensive) DLC content (not considered for final score, just pointed here).

    Final Remarks:
Overall the game is a technical masterpiece, but unfortunately only technical. Graphics impress and characters fuel the story with interest, keeping the player invested on the experience. Absolute recommendation to everyone who doesn't mind playing fundamentally linear shooting games, recommended also to players who enjoy short game experiences or even interesting stories.
Not recommended only to the ones who are looking for a long experience (50h+) or a vast open world.

Uncharted 4 is the best game of 2016, the best PS4 exclusive I have played, and the best looking game I have ever played. Sometimes you just don't know what you are missing, and that was the case with Uncharted 4. Having moved from Xbox 360 to PS4, I had no idea how excellent the Uncharted games were. This past month I've played through them all, starting with the first Uncharted. In my review of those games, I said Uncharted 3 holds it own with current generation games. Little did I know that Uncharted 4 would look so amazing that I often stopped to wonder how NaughtyDog did it.

The gameplay in Uncharted 4 builds on the formula of the previous games. You make Nathan Drake climb, swing, solve puzzles, take cover, and shoot bad guys. Hundreds of bad guys. Bodies everywhere. New additions are a grappling hood for certain areas, a climbing pick for certain surfaces, and the ability to tag enemies for stealth takedowns or simply avoiding them where possible. The game is also not light on amazing set pieces as ancient structures are often toppling with Drake in them. Exploration has never been better, and in my first playthrough I found only 37 of 107 treasures.

Even better than the gameplay is the look and feel of the game. Few games are as well written and Drake and his partners banter in a natural way that brings a lot of humor to what could be a gloomy slog. (I'm looking at you, Tomb Raider reboot.) The character animations are so incredibly real that you can easily see how one day games will be difficult to distinguish from real life. The use of lighting is also spectacular, and few games even try to look so good. Seriously, if you have been disappointed by the improvement of current gen games over last gen, Uncharted 4 will make you a believer.

As a full product, Uncharted 4 includes modifiers for the story mode, a competitive multiplayer and a survival mode. The story mode modifiers include zero gravity, infinite ammo, and graphics filters like 8-bit, ASCII, and super colorful. The competitive multiplayer is just as competent as you would expect, though I am turned off by the use of micro-transactions. I had the same complaint with The Last of Us remaster. If unlockables were cosmetic only, I would be more interested. Coming in a year late, I feel like it's not worth being cannon fodder. This is the same complaint I have with most multi-player games. The survival mode is a traditional co-op horde mode with a good number of maps available. As you survive waves of enemies, you can unlock better weapons. Survival mode is not as fully fleshed out as Call of Duty's zombie mode but it competes well against other co-op modes.

One last note, Uncharted 4 shows the enduring strength of console exclusives. This game is the answer of which console to buy. It is a near perfect experience I have not felt since the halcyon days of Halo when Bungie made those games. If you own a PS4 and have been burned by years of disappointing sequels, do yourself a favor and play Uncharted 4.

Also funny how some people who've never even played this game are rating zeroes or ones on this game and give Quantum Break a 10/10. Then they say that the user score is to low on Quantum Break because of playstation fanboys rating it 0/10...

Great graphics and amazing skin textures and facial expressions, and generally immaculate attention to detail in and out of cutscenes, so much so that you almost don't notice their seamless transitions, also thanks to the absence of any loading screens. Gameplay however, suffered from uninteresting and really tedious platforming that sees Nathan making it onto the next path by the skin of his teeth dozens of times, to the point where it gets repetitive and disappointingly predictable. It's fun and looks great, above all when you take a moment to absorb it all with the other characters from a panoramic cliffpoint or tall building, or even when you're jumping from collapsing bridges and four hundred year old towers, but after a while it loses it's lustre and it just becomes a rinse and repeat cycle. Shootouts and encounters are still heaps fun and you can approach it stealthly or guns blazing (although it's not recommended), and the puzzles are varied and challenging enough to be entertaining when they come around. The thing that yet again keeps it from being a masterpiece is its linearity in the gameplay and platforming. Getting from A to B always feels extremely on rails and set up, above all through its action sequences. Characters are well acted however, which keeps the mediocre plot above the water for most of the game, although it slightly loses itself in the third act, occasionally coming through a bit forced. Nevertheless the game is a great finale to the series that successfully completes its story arc. Would recommend the game if you're looking to push your ps4, honestly not going to find a better looking game at the store for now, but in terms of gameplay and platforming you might be disappointed. Would give it a 7.7-7.8 so rounding it to 8. Expand

Best Uncharted game yet, Best action game that i have ever played, very close to a 10/10 for me.
The graphics are great, possible the most beautiful game ever made.
The Sound Fx are functional and the voice acting are great. Decent music but nothing special imo.
Great characters and interesting cut scenes.
The story is pretty much what you can expect from a Uncharted game.

Uncharted 4 is an exceptional last entry in the series showcasing what the fine artists at Naughty Dog are capable of. I had a hard time choosing a score. If you liked the other Uncharted games then this one is a no brainer. If you haven't played any of the uncharted games which there might be quite a bit of those people considering there were a lot of xbox fans that switched to ps4 I highly suggest you play the first 3. Sure, playing the first 3 isn't an absolute must but if you want to appreciate the game (and it's ending even more) you really should play the others, not Golden Abyss though :-) I don't want to spoil anything so I will just say for the sake of the industry you should definitely play this game. The graphics and physics are some of the best I have ever seen in a console game, combat is fun and not overly done, and with the new grapple exploring is more fun than it has ever been in an uncharted game. I died a few times because I thought I was still in a cutscene, but I was actually supposed to be playing. I have a few nitpicks, though. The distance you need to fall in order to die is very inconsistent, leading to many deaths at the hands of safe-looking jumps, and the multiplayer has micro transactions. They're pretty minor and shouldn't bug you too much, but it kind of irks me that Naughty Dog thought that it'd be a good idea. There's also going to be single player DLC in the future, implying that you'll have to pay extra to experience the whole story. Again, these are all nitpicks, and you would be doing yourself a major disservice by not owning this great game. Expand

It's funny, gorgeous and exciting. There are so many good points about this game that I'm just going to say the only things that I didn't like. That is the the frag spamming and having to find boxes to reach higher areas. The frag spamming is so dated and I thought that Naughty Dog would of done away with it, but no no. Then there is finding boxes to reach higher areas. OK this is OK once or twice, but they spammed that so much I hated it.
However what Naughty Dog has done in this game makes me think they should be working for NASA and not Sony.
I would love to give the game a 10 to throw of those 0 from Xbox fanboys which is so obvious by clicking on their name to see there 10's for only Xbox games. How sad right. So I'm giving it a 9.5, OK 9 as I can't do 9.5. I gave it less because of the issues I mentioned already and MP which just seems a little cheesy.

Well...here we are, the finality of the Uncharted series. The saga has been quite the roller coaster in my opinion. The first one sucks, the second one was a master piece and the third one was in the middle. And now we finally finish Nathan Drake's latest adventure in his strongest game yet.

STORY: Once again we interact with little Nate for a bit and we learn that he actually has a brother called Sam. Then we jump into a few years later and Nate, Sam and some other guy are in prison, but they escaped with a clue to...something, but in the middle of the chaos Sam gets shot and Nathan has to leave him. Then we jump to the future and Nate now is married with Elena and he has a normal life. But that doesn't last for long because, surprisingly enough his brother is still alive and he tells Nathan that they need to find the treasure of Henry Avery or he will die...for real this time...by the hand of a person named Alcázar.

PRESENTATION: The graphics have received a MAJOR! downgrade from the first time we saw the game back in 2014. And it definitely has some popping, low res textures, god awful load times, no reflections and stilted animations from time to time, but the game still has some damn good graphics and it can look downright real with the lighting effects, the other 98% of the textures, the motion captured animations, the realistic models, the incredible detail in every place and this game definitely proves that having a varied color palette DOES NOT HINDER THE REALISM OF A GAME!, yes i'm talking to you Gears of War. The sound design is also phenomenal and the voice acting is top-notch.

The game runs at 1080p 30fps and i gotta say that the frame-rate is a bit unstable and there's not many music. The soundtrack overall is very forgettable, but it does help to create the mood.

But of course my thing with Naughty Dog is still present and i still found some glitches, but not to the game breaking level of Uncharted 3.

GAMEPLAY: Since i already reviewed the previus 3 Uncharted games i don't think that i have to explain how the game works (if you want more detail then go see those reviews), instead let's see the new stuff:

Now to shoot you use L2 and R2, instead of L1 and R1, and i gotta say, after playing the first 3 games this feels weird. And another thing is that you can switch the direction of your aiming by pressing X, but i feel like it was an unnecessary addition. And because L2 is for aiming, the grenades are mapped to R1 instead.

And we're back to the AWESOME! Uncharted 2 3D parkour system, THANK YOU!. And now we are full Indiana Jones!. And what i mean by that is that now we have a wip! and we can use it to swing back and forth in walls or in an open space and fall over enemies to do an instant takedown. And to do all of that you just press L1.

Combat has been ticked once again and instead of having just quick time events, we now don't see the buttons on screen, the AI is a lot more smarter and aggressive and your buddies can also help you in combat. Because of these combat is not as useful as in Uncharted 3, but i feel like it was a change for the better, since it balanced the way you attack enemies and it forces you to develop a stragetie.

The stealth works just like before, but now the AI is a lot smarter. And now they have a meter that fills every time they see you. If it gets yellow they will investigate the place and if it's orange then the fire fight begins. To know better the position of the enemies, you can mark them, eliminating some of the pressure and giving more depth to an already polished mechanic.

The puzzles this time around are a lot easier and fewer in quantity...and that kinda sucks.

The weapons and ammunition glow, so you could know the exact location. And now you have press and HOLD the triangle button to get a weapon from the ground, this removes the frustration of picking up a weapon by accident.

Now in certain areas you will slide and change direction at will...for some reason.

There's some vehicles to drive and they control really well...most of the time.

To add more challenge to the cover mechanic, the "cover places" can be destroyed by the enemy, same stuff happens in previus Uncharted games, but they used it alot more here.

You can push things in any direction, instead of waiting for the AI to come and press a button to push something in a straight line.

Now you can grab and inspect objects with the same exact system of The Order 1886 (**** that game tho), so it's not particularly innovative or interesting to do.
We also have character dialog choices, but they are very fake since they don't impact the story in any way.

Just like i said in my Star Fox Zero review. Please IGNORE that 7.8 that Uncharted 4 has in the user reviews. The people giving this game a 0 are just fanboys with no criterion. Uncharted 4 gets a 10/10 for me and i wish the best of luck to Naughty Dog for their next game.

It is like a Metal Gear Solid game, but the cutscenes make sense and are really interesting and engaging. So, I'm really enjoying this piece of entertainment, but it is in a different way than I'd expected. Still well worth the price, as everything is in the top notch of quality, and the content duration is akin to a 3-6 part movie series, gameplay aside. My favorite part of the gameplay is the puzzle solving, something I also really enjoyed in the previous games. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 9/10 would be my final, and honest, rating for this amazing game. I finished it yesterday and I have to say that it is probably my favorite Uncharted game with U2 really close in 2nd place. People who are posting "0's" for this game have either had a momentarily mental lapse in judgement or are just being horribly bias towards this sony exclusive. That is what's wrong with the user scores for game's like this because people justify their outrageously high or low score because they feel like the other reviews didn't justify their own opinion. Listen to the critic scores with this one because there is just an immature flaming party going on here...
Anyways, This game had just about everything you would come to expect from an uncharted series and more but I felt like it suffered a but from the main director being replaced. She had a style for these games that was apparent in the past installments but is nearly absent here. Sorry, trying to be vague not to spoil anything. If you guys really enjoyed U1-3 go buy this now because it's unforgettable or you can just wait until Tomb Raider 3 will come out and borrow even more concepts making it merely just a clone of U4.

For those of us that have been along from the beginning, the (supposed) final chapter should come as a fitting - though unexpected - conclusion, thanks in large part to a refreshing staff change behind the scenes. If, like me, you were wondering how an adventurous rascal reconciles the mundane world of employment, bills and marriage versus bullets, travel and treasure; here you go.

There's little to review here that veterans won't already expect: climbing, gunplay, exploration, cut-scenes (not necessarily in that order.) Instead, the devils in the details. Visually the game is sumptuously decorated, careful to dish out ever-increasing levels of eye candy from chapter to chapter, all the more impressive considering no load times beyond the initial. Certain chapters open up the level, giving you a vehicle, and letting you roam at your leisure, helping to offset the relatively linear nature of the series.

Gunplay feels familiar and, in many instances, can be bypassed altogether with stealth and patience. Ground foliage dotted throughout provide plenty of opportunities to snap necks incognito. Areas of confrontation have been opened up horizontally and vertically, with many an enemy above and below to contend with, driven by smarter, more aggressive tactics. The inclusion of a Grappling Hook helps to balance this by providing more options for mobility, and capable AI companions will help you out in times of need.

Helmed by Neil Druckmann (The Last of Us), the story unfolds at its own pace, not afraid to holster the guns for a time in order to establish character and relationships. Whilst a well-worn structure is still adhered to: travel to new country, locate ruin, decipher clue to next location, rinse and repeat -- the higher stakes this time round help to propel us forward nonetheless, managing to juggle the more serious tone alongside the constant, light-hearted quipping.

Length will vary based on difficulty and time spent exploring but, in my opinion, falls a little too long, much like many games and movies -- a debate for another time.

Multiplayer is a blast: easy to get into, plenty of unlocks and frantic slices of mayhem. Connection issues are a problem, but there are also trials to keep you occupied that help introduce you to the mechanics and resources at your disposal during the down times.

And that's it. A gorgeous Indiana Jones style romp through various locales in pursuit of pirate booty. An easy purchase.

As an aside, choose crushing difficulty at your peril--you will be tested.

It is what I think everyone felt when The Last of Us ended, and it is probably the void we will be left with your games to come. And this void is not at all a negative feeling, it is the proof that the studio has come up with something so incredible, so moving, that it played-even if only a minor one-a role in people's life, and the whole team can be incredibly proud of themselves.
This game has everything one could possibly want: a rock-hard plot, detailed, well-developed characters, a great balance between narration and action, an interesting lore based off real-world elements, and, of course, a stunning, incredible level design and sumptuous graphics.
The story is catching, the characters moving and lifelike, the scenery is breathtaking... there is simply nothing wrong with Uncharted 4.
This game is an example of the essence of video games, a powerful statement about what video games should be: a powerful experience which will leave you with durable memories.
Good job, Naughty Dog, good job!

(BTW: if any studio were to continue the franchise, I'd be extremely satisfied but please, Naughty Dog, make sure they don't ruin what you've managed to build during all these years...)

And thats why i put it 10/10

this is a great game but it is too linear for today games... it feels like its a great piece of art, that you can only see, but not touch... its time for the developers start making uncharted more interactble, with more rpg elements, like the new tomb raider

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

Ucharted 4 is a good game, good story, great graphics, decent characters, good gameplay, some chapters are boring and have little action and has a good multiplayer, not perfect but well worth buying and is one of the best games of the new generation of consoles.

Possibly the best graphics I have seen, with an amazing story that perfectly ties the Uncharted series together. Do yourself a favour and buy this game!

Everything is done with so much love, affection, care, and painstaking detail, it’s obvious that everyone working on the project wanted it to be the best it possibly could. Playing Uncharted 4 is like reading a really great book before bed, where you have no idea what’s going to be around the next page and you just need to see what happens in the next chapter before you sign off for the night.

Naughty dogs are one of the best just like the last of us which is a very good uncharted 4 also is a good one the PS4 pro gives a excellent graphic which makes the game very beautiful. They have tried new things such as sliding , ropes and many other. It is a game that very PlayStation owner should have. I am waiting for last of us 2 from naughty dogs

Quite simply this is probably the finest game on the PS4 to date in terms of story & production values. For those who have played any of the previous games you will be immediately at home, the game is equally accessible to newcomers although it might be wise to try play through the older games first.

I REALLY hope they do a "Last of Us 2".

Uncharted 4 is a landmark title that anyone remotely interested in interactive storytelling should invest in. Naughty Dog has once again raised the bar across the industry. Thrilling shootouts, a staggering level of detail, breathtaking visuals and emotional depth come together to make Uncharted 4: A Thief's End a must-play masterpiece.

Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]
