    This game was eye-opening. I didn't believe such graphics and smooth gameplay were possible on current generation consoles and was looking forward to the next gen... proven wrong.

    The graphics are best in class (as in, there is currently no other game reaching this level of detail and beauty), the score was beautiful, the story and dialogue was written and acted out in a cogent and    This game was eye-opening.     One of the most amazing things about the game is something you realize when you start a chapter after you are done with the game - a level needs about a minute to load, they are *huge*. While you are playing through the game, you will never realize this, because Naughty Dog managed to integrate resource loading with the story so well that the game flows at a natural pace and never pauses for loading. This sounds like "uh, so what" but is an enormous technical accomplishment.

    The other thing I really appreciated was that the storyline this time felt (just like the graphics! ;)) more realistic than ever. Options may diverge on this, maybe you are the type to miss magical mumbo jumbo, I thought the game was better without it.

    On a side-note, I cannot wait for ND to publish more games based on this engine, they are sitting on a gold mine.    … Expand

    Naughty Dog has proven yet again that they're masters of game storytelling. Amazing story, amazing gameplay, environments/graphics have never looked better in any other game. Every little detail has been thought out. The whole thing plays like a AAA action adventure... reminds me of Indiana jones often. It's a very linear game (some illusion of choice here and there, alternate paths from place to place) with a lot of quick time events. But ND does this so well and it suits this game.     This is beautiful game. I've must have said to myself "OMG How beautiful this game is" a 100 times when playing it. Truly 10+ title. Acting is superb, music is superb, story is superb and graphics are just gorgeous. This is the closest it can get to blend movie with games. The only negative of this game that i can think of is that it will eventually end.I want more of Drake adventures.

    But it has some flaws, that "lost brother " plot is boring, elena and sully reactions to some plot twist are too unreal and the level design is too uninspired. A huge part of the game is just climbing mountains.

    The game defining sequences that focused on shock and awe like falling off the train in uncharted2 are replaced with sequences where you control the character through beautiful vistas or explosions. These sequences truly look next gen but usually during a lot of gameplay the game looks slightly better than uncharted2 or uncharted3.     Oh my goodness. Such a good story, such good writing. Whatever you are paying those guys, triple it and pray to god they do not go to work for someone else. Heck, Hollywood could use some good writers about now and these guys can help fill the void easily. You are climbing the cliff caves for a while, then you are in a shootout, then you are doing a puzzle, then you are in a car chase, then you are back to climbing, then you are... well you get the point. They do an excellent job of mixing it up and keeping the gameplay fun and exciting. Seriously one of the best games I have ever played. I dreaded the coming of the final chapter. Anyone who gives this a zero is a troll idiot, period. There is no way anyone with a soul and a pulse gives this less than a 7.… Expand

    This game comes as close to perfection as any other game I've played. Holy crap. Story. Characters. Voice acting. Combat. Exploration. Graphics. Audio. Level design. Multiplayer. All on point. It's really hard for me to find anything wrong here.

    I'm glad I havent watched any walktroughs, before I played the game because some parts are so beautiful like a dream, especially in the later part of the game.

    It's a shame that being linear is somehow a bad quality for a game these days. It seems most of the negative reviews here are from people who had no idea what to expect and instead are lambasting a game for not living up to their unrealistic expectations.

    Uncharted 4 is solid proof that strong writing can make a 4th installment just as strong as the original. Not every game has to be like that. The pacing is on point, the characters are well-developed, the plot twists are fully engaging, and the mechanics have been finely tuned to where they aren't frustrating like some of the previous games. Some of the shootout scenes could be a tad shorter but aside from that, this game is perfect. The main story by itself is worth a 9 and the multiplayer and other features give it a solid 10. Naughty Dog has been adamant about this being the denouement of Nathan Drake's story so Uncharted should easily carry the title of best quadrilogy in gaming.    … Expand

    It is an amazing game! It caught me the first few minutes; as all the uncharted , the game starts slow after the prologue , but when the minutes pass , the game grabs you and does not let go until the epilogue . I really loved , it was worth every penny I paid.

    While this is still very much classic Uncharted, tonally the game is a bit different which you can notice right from the get go when you are greeted by an ominous silence in the start screen instead of the familiar theme music. I was obviously disappointed to hear Greg Edmonson won't be returning. But Henry Jackman's score appropriately captured the tone of the franchise and it felt like Ed never left.

    The set pieces in Uncharted has always been a highlight. This time it's no different. I had goosebumps the moment the prison break ends and the opening credits roll with the new theme in the background. It's the kind of feeling you get when you're watching your favorite blockbuster movie you've been waiting all summer for and it only gets better from there!

    What separates A Thief's End from the previous installments most is the deeply personal story this time around that adds extra layers to the characters we've come to love and we are introduced to notably Nate's brother Samuel Drake who is a game changer and gives proper meaning for their motivations.

    PC fanboys can rave on about graphics, but as a fair minded gamer who plays both on console and PC, this is the most graphically detailed game I've ever played. I would go on to call other console devs as lazy considering what Naughty Dog has achieved. The attention to detail is unprecedented. Nate's house easily wins the contest for best interior decoration in a video game!

    Photo mode is a feature that's becoming common in games nowadays. I spent a ludicrous amount of time with the game's photo mode. It's like a treasure cave for a photographer. The game also introduces a limited sandbox feel to some levels which enables you to tackle the objective in slightly different ways. It even adds driving section that are fun with pretty realistic physics. The enemy encounters can be completed fully by stealth, classic gunplay or even by avoiding all enemies. Both of these are welcome additions that does keep the gameplay fresh.

    The AI has been fantastic in the previous games and they still are provoking you to rethink strategies mid fight and keep moving to succeed. Even on crushing difficulty, I never felt cheated. The final boss fight was appropriate however a little frustrating. The platforming sections felt a tad exhausting at times. These are the few complaints I have the about the game. Regardless, the game does so many things right that can easily overpower these minor nuisances.

    The multiplayer returns from the previous games and keeps the action going after you've already completed the single player probably more than once. It is nothing revolutionary and mostly by the numbers, but it still manages to add value to the whole package and worth checking out.

    Without giving anything away, the game ends like a swansong. Just when you thought this game couldn't be more amazing, it pulls one more trick out of its box. This game captures the word 'immersive' to perfection. It pulls you into its world, makes you care about the characters and make you feel like you are a part of the adventure and never lets you go until the end credits roll.

    I remember I chose a PS3 over an Xbox 360 for its exclusives especially the Uncharted series. This generation it was no different. If you are only going to play one game on your PS4, let this be that game, you owe it to yourselves!    … Expand

    From the general presentation to the story, graphics, gameplay, sound, music and multiplayer - Uncharted 4 is the epitome of a masterpiece. A perfect conclusion to one of the greatest action series of all time, as well as perhaps the greatest PS4 game to date, one that pushes the limits of the console. I would have given this a 10, if not for the presence of micro-transactions.

I personally found 2's constant shootouts and change of scenarios a bit exhausting. 4's pacing, on the other hand, is slower with more variety and more emphasis on exploration. This is made possible by the inclusion of large, open areas. It might not be much, but it is enough to make Uncharted stand out a little bit more in my opinion. I also enjoyed the inclusion of vehicles.

    Another good inclusion is the grappling hook, which makes for some fun traversal and clever puzzles. It would have been nice to see the grappling hook implemented into the combat somehow. Speaking of combat, shooting feels ok, and the shootouts are diverse enough to make them fun. Unlike 2, this game knows when to take a break from shooting to give place to other types of gameplay.

    The story is also better than the previous games'. I could start nitpicking specific things about it, but the truth is that I liked it and I think it works perfectly well for a game like this. Uncharted 4 is around 14 hours in lenght, which is what you'd come to expect from a Naughty Dog game. Most of the chapters in the game are entertaining, but the ones with Drake as a kid are probably the low points.

    Visually, the game is outstanding. The details present in every scenario are simply amazing. Voice acting and sound effects are very good. And finally, the game includes an unusually fleshed-out multiplayer mode. It might be fun to some, but honestly, If I wanted to play a good online shooter, I'd be playing something other than Uncharted. On a side note: was it necessary to have microtransactions in a game like this?

    Uncharted 4 is a game that's accesible, fun for the most part and offers plenty of visual spectacle. It is carried by a good, compelling story and simple but well made gameplay mechanics. It is a game that can be easily recommended to casual players, but that can also be enjoyed by more dedicated types like myself as well. In the end, it is my favorite Uncharted title.

    I remember playing this game and being transported back to my first sleepover when I was a kid. We watched an Indiana Jones movie and ate pizza, and I had all of this excitement in me. To me, this game evoked exactly that feeling; You're a kid, watching an Indiana Jones movie. So freaking rad!!

    - Graphics: Best graphics on the PS4. Just like how they created the best looking game on the ps3 with uncharted 2. I was impressed even though I'm primarily a 1440p 60fps pc gamer.

    The music is as good as you'd expect, really good even if it's not the most memorable. The performances are also what you'd expect, which is some of the best performing there is in video games.

    Uncharted 4 was definitely one of the very best games of 2016. with phenomenal gameplay, a good story, and excellent graphics to boot. This is one of the games that makes a PS4 worth buying. This game is not as good as TLOU, but definitely has some heart, personality, and is a groundbreaking title that is a must-own for PS4 players.

When things go wrong they go wrong in spectacular fashion    I finally got the chance to play Uncharted 4 and from someone who's played the series from the start; I'm impressed. Note that this is a story review only because I really feel the need for Uncharted multiplayer, I have COD and DooM for that.

    you'll not find too much in the way of story unless you've played the first three as Uncharted 4 takes you on an emotional story, it takes the already heavily progressed characters and gives them new motives and purpose. It's obvious that the writers from he Last of Us had a hand in this given that I actually welled up once or twice.
    Naughty Dogs Initiative for Common Engine team has clearly been hard at work; the games engine is insane. The visuals are something else, I've seen some negative comments about them, one being that Crysis 3 was better? I've played both and the graphics on this game have advanced my play time by 90 minutes according to the stats (time spent stood still) as I often stop to slowly pan the camera and take obnoxious screenshots to annoy my PC elitist friends. The physics engine is great as well with: realistic rock slides and water trickles to name but a few. As well as this, the location designs are impossibly beautiful.
    The gameplay is a little stale over the previous instalments but has been refreshed in a way that climbing is much more natural and accurate and the gunplay has been polished to near on perfection, in addition to the tried and tested methods use in previous games, the action is fun and fierce and if you think it isn't, stop playing on easy you little b****
    All in all, an emotional and seriously impressive send off to the series, from a studio who's quality control is immaculate in a world of buggy post-release messes, Uncharted 4 sets a bench mark for industry standards.

    Naughty Dog ah Naughty Dog. Every time I see them developing something it puts a smile on my face because I know its going to be gold, and that's no exception with Uncharted 4. The final chapter in Nathan's story and its a memorable one. The brotherly love is felt here and Sully coming back. It really feels like an ending to a great game series. Also what a great final battle.

    I can say, this is the best game I played in the last 5 years, but maybe in the last ten. This is a quality work, with a good story, nice gameplay and user friendly control. Rly enjoyed it, Yo Ho, Yo Ho! :D

    This game is a masterpiece. It's so good that it can rival The Last of Us. Uncharted goes out with a Big Bang. The graphics are spectacular, and the characters are more realistic and fleshed out than ever.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Uncharted 4 is undoubtedly the most well crafted game in the series,however it lacks the set pieces that the series is known for

    Story:the story is easily the best in the series, however it does make some plotholes in the series. Such as marlowe not mentioning sam when she was going through drake's history. the villain(s) (rafe and nadine) are the best in the series. However rafe not letting nadine go at the end of the game made no sense since he would have gotten more of the treasure for himself which ultimately led to his death. Speaking of that the death of rafe isn't as brutal or as cool as the previous villain deaths in the series (having treasure fall on him). And as shockign as rafe revealing that he freed sam i still don't know why didn't nate just look up hector alcazar or the prison breakout overall the story is a 9.5/10

    Gameplay:The shooting is much improved and the hand to hand combat is very satisfying.However as good as the gameplay is it is set aside for storytelling and character development. The game lacks the set pieces that the series is known for,for example in uncharted 2 you have a helicopter chase,jump out of a falling building, climb up a train,go through a train,escape from security guards however in uncharted 4 you just escape a collapsing tower and fall down a tower so overall i give it an 9/10

    Sound/music :good as ever however it isn't very intense overall it's a 9/10

    Graphics:Phenomenal amazing the facial animations,the lighting,the graphics the enviroments amazing 10/10

    Gunplay and general combat is fantastic and satisfying. Level design is great barring one or two areas that lose their novelty after the first time playing them. The story works great on a surface level, but blemishes appear after looking any deeper.

    The voice actors' performances were so great that I really connected with the lead and the supporting characters.

    If you have played the previous three Uncharted games (not counting Golden Abyss), the story and character chemistry will resonate with you in such a way no other games ever have before.

    The ending is so satisfying that it has left me teary-eyed but also content in saying farewell to an old friend, knowing he'll be fine with his life.

    A beautiful game with an amazing singleplayer and great written characters. This game is worth buying for the singleplayer alone.

    The multiplayer though, is why I'm not giving this game a 10/10. Only 9 maps and 3 modes. Plently of weapons and cosmetics though. The mutliplayer does have some issues though. Some weapons will kill you in 2-3 shots. You can shoot 20 bullets into a guy with a machine gun and he doesn't die, if he's using a pistol he will kill you in 3-4 shots. Yes. A pistol. Only thing that will keep you playing is collecting all the skins, hats and weapons.

    Other than that, amazing game. I don't recommend buying it for $60, though. Wait for a sale.    … Expand

    Best Uncharted game of the series! I played through two times - beat it on normal difficulty and then replayed on a harder setting. The graphics are great and the story is excellent. My ONLY complaint (if forced to pick one) is stealth could have been done better and seems like it was added as an afterthought, but still well done and does not merit a lower score. A must play for any PS4 owner!

The gameplay is incredible and the story is so damn good, probably the best one of the Uncharted series. Naughty Dog can really create compelling characters (with whom you can establish "emotional" ties) and compelling stories. For me that's whatUncharted 4 is an awesome game. Truly a 10. The pairing on Nolan North and Troy Baker was perfect they play off each other so well that you feel as though they are truly brothers. I would also say that Warren Cole who played the villain did an outstanding job.     remember when i first played the original uncharted, it blew my mind with its characters intense gameplay and amazing story telling. It was the reason i switched to a playstation. UC 2 managed to top the first game in ways unimaginable, while UC 3 continued to push the series to greater heights.     The gameplay is a solid blend of climbing, exploring, and shooting. The shooting feels good for a 3rd person shooter, and the added stealth component is a lot of fun. The combination of climbing and shooting (e.g. swinging across a chasm while firing an Uzi or dropping from a ledge into the tall grass to perform a stealth kill) is where the game really shines. If it had TLOU-esque gore, the shooting would be that much more satisfying, but I understand they wanted to keep it Teen.

    Combine the graphics and gameplay with an above-average story and fully-wrought characters and you have one of the best games of all time. In terms of sheer technical prowess, it may be THE best game of all time. It's laughable that this has a 7.8 user score. Don't listen to the trolls, nitpickers, and Xbox fanboys.     An amazing experience ! This is how I would summarize playing and completing this game. Graphically speaking it is on another level compared to most games out in PS4. It is full of memorable interactions, diverse things to do and achieve and great sceneries to look at. Buy it and invest the time to it. It is worth it.

    Genuinely best game i have ever played.
    There has to be some imperfections somewhere but for me they were unnoticeable and insignificant. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game, start to finish. Every second was fun, intense and beautiful. The graphics, the characters, the plot/plot twist and the cutscenes were my favourite part of the game.

    i already want to replay this game, so impressed!!

    Masterpiece! The best part from Uncharted. I love landscape in "A Thief's End", this game is beautiful. Many times I just stop and I admired world around me. For me this is GOTY 2016. The best Exclusive on PS4 ever made.

    I encountered no issues/bugs whatsoever. The gameplay, characters and story are just as fun as the other Uncharted games, if not more so. I was satisfied with the ending and since ND has stated they don't plan on making anymore Uncharted games, I truly hope the series does end (I don't want another developer to take over with any other characters).

    My only real gripe is Nadine. ND does an amazing job at writing characters but I just found her character irrelevant, boring and in the end pointless. With how difficult and tough she was throughout the game, I thought she was going to be the final boss. Still none of that took away from the experience of the game.    … Expand

Instead Naughty Dog has taken the right risk at the right moment to make this game super awesome. For a game like this it's done exceptionally well and no other game comes close to that.     I dont know how some people put a negative review on this game. The visuals are amazing, the gameplay is amazing, the animation is amazing, the story isn't great but its fine, the graphics are the reason why optimization is mind blowing... Its a masterpiece, get it!

    What a great game, I've played all the uncharted games and I really liked all of them but this one just takes everything I love about the first three games to make one of the best action games I've ever played.

    The story is more mature telling the story of Nathan who is obliged to hunt for a treasure with his (maybe) shady brother. What I like about the story is that it's not a simple good vs evil story, you actually understand why the villains want the treasure and you don't hate them as much as the other villains in the first three games.

    The gameplay for this game is a great improvement, there is stealth in it, you can slide on slippery platforms and you have the grappling hook, they have added more stuff for you to enjoy this games and it works really well. It's fluid and satisfying just like you want an uncharted game to be.

    Uncharted 4 is not a ground braking or revolutionary game, but it's pure story driven action adventure at it's finest. If you give this game a low rating, you are clearly just hating. The attention to detail in this game is crazy.     A very fitting finale to a great overall story arc. This is a top three game for me. One of those games that you have to play from start to end as soon as humanly possible. It is just that engaging.

    Uncharted 4 is the first Uncharted i ever played in the series yet it is the final chapter of Uncharted series.
    Although it really lives up the hype.
    The game were amazing.
    The visual, the audio quality, the acting, the cutscene, all perfect.
    It is the best single player experience i ever played in 2016.
    10/10 indeed.

    La dirección de arte es espectacular, desde la belleza de Madagascar hasta las colonias piratas.
    La música, los efectos de sonido y los gráficos del juego le añaden aún más magia al videojuego,

    It is the BEST game in 2016. Stunning visuals (really why would it look better than all PC games?). Amazing controls, gameplay. Engaging story. I didn't play Uncharted 1-3 but really enjoyed U4 so much. I'd recommend it to anyone.

    I'm late to the party, does my review still count?
    I just got Uncharted 4 and it's probably one of the best games I've ever played in my life.
    Naughty Dog once captured my imagination with the thrilling Uncharted 2, but years later blew my mind with The Last of Us Remastered on PS4. Now they have done it again.

    Uno de los mejores juegos de PS4 (si no el mejor) sin duda. Es una gran película de acción con personajes sobresalientes. Es un juego que te absorbe y que no puedes dejar. Hay gente que lo critica por la linealidad, pero no todos los juegos tienen que ser mundos abiertos. Este se centra en contar una historia y la cuenta, de manera magistral. RECOMENDADÍSIMO

    With beautiful graphics, an amazing storyline, awesome gun balances, lovable characters, and unhateable villains, Uncharted 4 takes the entire cake and only leaves about 2-3 slices for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

    This is a gaming masterpiece. What a fitting finale for such a great series.
    The obvious love and technical prowess that has gone into this game is quite phenomenal.
    You can see Naughty dog really honed their craft with the last of us and have levelled up even further with the final chapter of the Uncharted series.
    Really sets the bar high for other games to follow.

This game's graphics are probably the crowning achievement mainly because the graphics remain life like throughout the entire game without frame rate issues. To all PS4 owners this is a must have game even if one is not into shooters in general.     Best game of this generation so far for me. The multiplayer is fantastic, the story is amazing. Definetly the best uncharted game in the series. I would recommend it to anyone. If you have played the 3 other uncharted games it's a great send off.

    Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]
