    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So , i am going to try and review the game the best i can and how i take it in my head..
    So first off , Joel's death wasn't done right , no matter the kind of reason you think you have , it doesn't justify , the Devs want us to see that the Last of Us World is a cruel world and anyone can die in a heartbeat , just like that..
    The problem is , we already know how cruel the world is , with the likes of character like Tess/Sam/Henry we get the world ins't sunshines and rainbows , it's a Post-Apocalypic world...
    The First Part of the game was actually good , taking Joel's death out obviously , playing with Ellie was a good experience , the Second Part not so much..Everyone has the right for revenge , no matter if it's Ellie or Abby or anyother character , Revenge isn't just for the main characters of course , but Abby dind't try to understand wether the reason for her revenge was what's she thought , she could've first ask the reason for her Father's death but yeah!
    So about develpmente , pretty lacking , Ellie's develpment was actually backwards , Abby's develpment is non-existent and even tho i didn't actually hate playing with her , i felt it wasn't natural and necessary , when ever i played with her , just wanted to switch back to Ellie.
    Gameplay , for all people that are saying that the gameplay was stucked in the first one stop being a dick , that just a reason for you to hate on every aspect of the game , the gameplay is good and is solid , the jump button i don't think it's necessary , but the dodging is a nice feature , since in the Original you had just to eat everything thrown at you!
    Sound was gorgeous too , but one thing that dissapointed me was the soundtrack , compared to TLOU , this Soundtrack lacks a lot in emotion in my Opinion.
    The ending , now there is things that made the ending have sense and things it did not..
    Ellie was tired already , Ellie didn't had any Will left to fight for , literally she killed to many people (One of the reasons that both makes and doesn't make sense IMO) so she was fed up with all of that , she didn't want more blood on her hands , but in the same aspect killing all those people to just let the main one go ins't right either , plus it was basically everything in vain , losing Dina/JJ , losing her fingers , losing her Mind , her peace..All of that seemed pointless , and you can even arguably make a reason and ask:"Why even doing in the first place if you're not gonna finish it"
    Overall there was some really good stuff , like the Joel/Ellie flashbacks , especially the Swimming and the spaceship scenes , pretty magical and the main core to what Joel and Ellie storie was in The Last of Us..
    Now , i won't say the game is pure garbage , because it ain't , the Story is badly written , i could make a better one myself..

This game doesnt has the same story line as The Last of us part I; however, it makes you love it despite the fact of Joel's death at the begining of the game. When you learn about why Abby killed Joel, you actually understand her and you cant say you wouldnt have done the same if you were abby. Then you kill all of her friends. What would you want her to do if not try to kill you and Tommy? The game has great graphics. I would give it a 10/10 but sometime the exploring parts are just too boring.… Expand

    Slap in the face for fans of the first LoU! Yes graphics, sound design, voice acting etc are great. Technically its super impressive BUT the story and the writing are completely abhorrent this time around. This game has none of the charm, heart or soul of the first one. Do not support people that spit on your beloved characters.

    This game is absolutely amazing! it is a real improvement from the already great first installment. The pacing is really well done and the story keeps drawing me in. T~hey got rid of some annoying mechanics of the first game and it feels like a much smoother experience. seriously one of the best i have ever played.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLOU2 (The Last of Us 2) Is a disgrace to the original game and the franchise as a whole. The original game found light in the dark world that naughty dog created by using clever dialogue and a fantastic relationship between Joel and Ellie. This relationship was built throughout the entire story and ultimately is what drove many people to love the game. Not only were the characters realistic and likable but the journey they go through is beautiful and unforgiving at the same time. The characters are fleshed out in a natural flow and as we play the game we grow a bond with the characters just as Ellie and Joel are in the game. Respectively, in TLOU2, we find ourselves with characters that are thrown at us with little backstory and no development. The only character that brings the same spark as Joel and Ellie's relationship did is Dina. However, this is short-lived as Dina becomes pregnant and becomes a side character that is forgotten about almost as quickly as she was becoming interesting. With Dina out of the picture, we get Jesse as a companion which is a complete disaster; the character is seldom enjoyable and we don't know any of his backstory or who he is as a person. The combination of these two characters ultimately cuts Ellie's part of the game into 3 sections. Parts with Ellie and Dina which are enjoyable, parts with Jesse which are lackluster, and parts with only Ellie which would have been a nice splash of darkness if the parts with Jesse felt refreshing, although they did not and therefore we have the feeling of a much too lonely story, not to mention that Ellie herself has become an even darker character with only a fraction of her endearing dialogue. Aside from those characters, the others are little explored - Maria and Tommy barely appear, although they could have definitely been much more involved characters that would have brought a sense of familiarity given that we met them in the first game and that Tommy is Joel's brother. Finally, without Joel to converse with Ellie, the brief joy that could be shared in such a dark world was lost and Naughty Dog's effort was poor at keeping it refreshing, which brings us to the story that has disappointed millions.

    In the first game, the story was of a typical post-apocalypse game; a person is immune and goes to save the world. Of course, this stereotypical plot is riddled with fantastic dialogue, intriguing characters, and impeccable plot-twists, all wrapped up in flawless storytelling. Although there is another piece of the puzzle that makes Ellie and Joel's adventure unique - only they could have that story. In TLOU2, the plot is a generic revenge story; a loved one dies, and the hurt party seeks out revenge by killing the characters who harmed her loved one. Anyone could have this story. It isn't unique and it isn't refreshing, and it's one of the reasons why the entire plot in the first place was a direction that the game shouldn't have gone in. Aside from the revenge plot being mundane, it was stupid - the character of Abby felt completely irredeemable since everyone loved Joel - no matter how you saw his decision in the first game, and for the record, I disagreed with it. His death was long overdue - however, his death was not overdue in such a manner that portrayed him as a novice of the bleak and unforgiving world they live in.
    In the first game, we see Joel and Ellie in a car entering a town and are greeted by a man that calls out for help - Joel instantly sees this as an ambush, showing his experience in reading situations, so unless Abby and all of her friends are actors, I think I'd rather come to the conclusion that it was simply poor writing. Moreover, we play as the killer of Joel which was largely in the second half of the game - this introduction to a new character is trying to shape a moral foundation for her actions however for many it is already too late. She is hard to be seen in any other light than the person that killed a favorite character which is why her approximately 8-hour playthrough felt like an obligatory side mission which I couldn't wait to finish. In my opinion, the fact that I don't like Abby isn't my fault - She isn't funny or interesting and her moral compass is shoved down the player's throat in an attempt to redeem her actions which simply does not pan out, not to mention the horrific ending of Ellie getting her fingers chomped off and her suddenly remembering Joel for a split-second and deciding to spare Abby; it's not Ellie, it's not character development, it's poor writing and it's a poor ending set out to be poetic but simply does not feel satisfying or elegant at all - They rushed character development and told a foolish story in a lousy manner that paid a terrible homage to Game Of Thrones by killing characters for no reason.

    Gameplay was good but lacked diversity and flare; same with enemy types.
    Graphics, voice acting, level design 10/10

    I actually played the game, and I loved every minute of it. The way the game recontexualises the orginial and gives new perspectives to the cycles of violence that drive the conflict in the game was masterfully done.

Я сам его не проходил, сидел рядом с другом, с которым мы вместе стримы ведём, он её проходил, а я скучал и терпел. Так вот, эту я, естественно, проходить сам тоже не буду. Обзоров и начал прохождений мне вполне достаточно, чтобы понять, что из себя представляет эта игра. Тут такие же глупые, неестественные диалоги, озвучка диалогов, такое же глупое поведение людей и других персонажей. Игра пытается претендовать на реаличтичность вижена, на реалистичность физики, поведения, но при этом во всём видна такая тупизна, просто ужас!!!! Лица людей не похожи на реальные лица, поведение, походка не похожи, диалоги не похожи на реальные. Физика животных, как и внешний вид тоже не естественные. В самом начале увидел, как лошадь бежит по снегу, и это так небрежно сделано, да ещё и физика движения лошади вообще ничего общего с реальностью не имеет, не говоря о физике её взаимодействия с внешним миром, со снегом, на которые она наступает. Кстати, такую же фигню я заметил и в отношении человеческих взаимодействий с предметами и окружающим миром. Вообще ужасно проработано. И это в игре, которая хочет казаться реальностью, фильмом! Короче, жесть. Дальше, сюжет. Скукотища полнейшая. То, что там показывают и то, что приходится делать по сюжету, не вызывает никакого интереса. Приходится через силу это всё делать, потому что надо. В общем... Дальше продолжать не буду.. И так понятно всё, в каком духе дальше речь бы шла. Я не могу похвалить эту игру даже за графику, в отличие от других ребят и обзорщиков.     If incredible story telling is simply a matter of trying to create the most absurd plot choices that invoke disgust, anger, confusion out of a person than by all means give Druckmann an Oscar. This was a joke. First of all, the idea that "revenge is bad" or "Killing people is inhumane" isn't revolutionary and if I'm being honest I think Neil has the wrong idea about humans. Sure we're capable of causing suffering but come on killing someone with their hands up playing on a PS Vita for the hell of it seems a bit much. So no, humanity isn't all going to **** and I doubt living through an apocalypse makes people more hellbent on causing suffering.
    Second, in addition to putting you through this profound conclusion that different people have different experiences, the characters are mediocre at best. Gone are the days of Joel and Ellie having a complex relationship that lifts Last of Us I to soaring heights. Nah, now it's "I'm gonna kill you" and "No I'm gonna kill you". People are gonna try to say these negative reviews aren't real or whatever. But perhaps, people really didn't like the game and don't care Ellie's a lesbian (we knew that since Left Behind).

    Anyway the experience you'll get is going to be depressing. You'll be absolutely amazed by the scenery and depth of the world. You'll have small dialogue moments when you'll pray that the characters show any semblance of common sense. And then right when the game seems like fun you'll spend 4 hours "exploring" and solving "puzzles" that are a matter of playing fetch and throwing a cable. Never in my life did I think this game would be so bad. I wish I was right because it was that much worse. And I'm sorry to myself and to everyone who waited 7 years just to spend 30 hours decapitating dumb runners.

    Tldr; Nobody cares Ellie is gay, we still liked TLOF1. This game is bad, assumes the worst out of humans. Story is there just for dramatic effect. Think Neil Druckmann reading YouTube clickbait and going that's great add it. Still Naughty Dog is the best in the business and can only hope this knocks sense back into them.    … Expand

    Really wanted to enjoy this one since I adored the first one so much. Can't believe this game has fallen into the SJW woke BS along with other games that failed miserably due to the exact same reason. Thankfully, I returned this game just in the nick of time to get my money back. Looks like I'll have to wait till July and Nov for an actually good game. 0/10, not worth it

    Imagine waiting 7 years for this, the story is absolute trash. Some people might be upset about the agenda they're pushing, but for me this is just bad writing. There are plenty of female, minority, or gay characters that I love in other games. Overall, this game fails to deliver a real ending/coherent story and felt more like filler rather than a proper sequel.

    I was so looking forward to this game. Part 1 was hands down the best game that ever existed. This Part II is just a terrible disappointment. Rather than focusing on a good story it's driven by propaganda and a leftist agenda. Wish i could just forget this game. I don't understand why they have to push ideals on people. The game tries and fails at having the players emphasize with villains

I finish it early Sunday morning and didn't know how to feel and i absolutely loved that. This game took some big risks, and i respect that.

    I my opinion i don't think the game is a 10/10 but it sure as hell isn’t a 4.6 either.

Its polished on the work from the first installment several years ago for sure, but it's to be expected given the resources behind such a well established studio. The biggest let down for me is the story. I'd draw comparisons with the GoT series. TLOU1 is much like the first few seasons setting the story rich with lore and a mix of anticipation and wonder in a strange new world.

    TLOU2 is akin to the last seasons where the story itself plays second (maybe thrid) fiddle to the proverbial mic drops/shock factor to justify itself. In much the same way as GoT, the ending makes you wonder why you even bothered in the first place.

    I'd even say if you had a choice in the the final decision it would have made up a few more points personally. But instead it's more of a childrens bedtime story trying to shove its own conflicting brand of morality down your throat at the expense of any replayability or sense of accomplishment. Now I get the whole revenge can backfire thing.... But this isn't a new concept... It has already been done... Just ask anyone who's watched the various endings of the Count of Monte Cristo.

    I can't help but think I've played a different game to that played for the critic reviews.

    For me the story should be foremost for any game, backed up by well polished and novel gameplay concepts and UI.

    The game is amazing.. As everyone said the story is horrible.. Joel being handled differently might have made me think better but still, its bad. Its awful.. All this game does is offend everyone intentionally.
    Even Trans people should be offended.. They use stereotypes that people whom hate them think of them as..and does not represent most Trans people..and you made violent etc. Its just wrong..all of it.
    There is no way it should have a good score.. I will agree that it should least get 5.0 because everything else was just better from the first, other then, oh I dunno, the entire story/game itself..
    Im still a lil confused at whomever your internal PC voice is because of how they handle the Trans person alone (since they are trying to make it a new thing..) that which they knew on its own would draw controversy.. Why.. That is like being the people who used to say why blacks (kill them first) and no gays..) but they handled even that in a bad way..

The combat system feels dated and lacking for a game this far into the PS4 lifecycle but ultimately feel familiar. The controversial moments in this game could have been done better. Joel dying had to happen to really justify a sequel but I wish it had been done in a clever way. Instead he along with Tommy just volunteered information about themselves. I think forcing players to play as Abby and fight a beloved character like Ellie was a mistake and could have been offered as a DLC. This is a story based game and the story feels out of sync. It could have been very enjoyable if some of the plot points made more sense based on logical character decision making.Not worth 60 bucks but worth picking up when the price drops.     In conclusion, I think I will be extremely wary of Naughty dog in the future, I thank them for TLOU 1 which I loved but this left a sour taste and tbh I'm likely to look at the Xbox rather than Sony for my next gen in the hope they will act more like adults. :(    … Expand

Apart from the good two factions of the game trying to kill you and each other the story lacks in comparison to the first game. They killed the main protagonists of the 1st game in the first 2 hours of the game for shock value, very cheap move. It undermines Joel’s arc and personality; Joel is paranoid and doesn’t trust people and knows every trap by a human in the first game. He knows when he is outnumbered and doesn’t go to places where he can be easily overrun unless absolutely necessary. In this game he wonder into a home with 10-20 stranger with his also equally paranoid brother - Tommy. He does save Abby from the infected and his only option is the cabin, he still should have been careful and paranoid of them.

    The whole point of the game is to have revenge for the killing of Joel by killing anyone associated with Abby and Abby. I’ve only played 11-12 hours of the game but I know the ending and leaks. The meaning and story revolves around vengeance it isn’t subtle and is badly done. The story is flawed by exaggerated moments and somehow pure luck of the character. The characters make stupid decisions that don’t make sense to a rational mind and overall most characters are bland. The story doesn’t hold gravity as it did with the Joel and Ellie/Father and Daughter bond. You play as Joel’s killer - Abby - for a large portion of the game and are meant to sympathise for her and her struggle and her past. This does not happen, you can’t sympathise with a person who killed your favourite character and are supposed to hate and play as her. We all knew Joel would die but it should have been better. Like a Heroic death or he gets bitten and doesn’t regret saving Ellie from the Fireflies. He could have gone out in a better way that a cheap shock value moment.

    At the end of the game, you find a weakened Abby and attack and try to killer until Ellie gets a flashback to Joel and stops trying to kill her to let her go. This undermines the plot of the story and the arc of vengeance when she has killed everyone associated with Abby and countless others. Neil and the other writers try to make a message that “Vengeance is bad and it’ll take away everything from you”. The message falls short and just doesn’t make the story any less good. They also have this sub-plot about a supposed trans scars member and that falls short and doesn’t hold any emotional impact to the player. Some of the trans community and LGBTQ+ have also tweeted and stated this games creates a bad cliche character that is for the sake of diversity.

    I could go on but I would exceed the character limit. The last of us two deserves either a 4-6 overall, I’ll put it as a 5 to be generous. The combat of the game is gritty and amazing to say the least. The story not so good, the story is not for the fans and it’s the writers ego (Neil) to think this storyline is bold when it’s just downright mediocre, horrid and flawed. I found myself in a hole by the 20th-hour mark, the game in general had been kicking me in the stomach again and again in the perception of a higher form of art. In the COVID-pandemic era, where people are dealing with real emotionally turmoil and trauma, as the lack of social interaction and feeling of isolation continues, where we might find ourselves locked within our doors and preparing for a second-wave, this game is unnecessarily bleak and makes you feel as though no hope remains in the world.

    The characters, unlikable, the story, illogical, the gameplay, boring. The fact that people are rating it so high is just because it tries something new and edgy and not based on actual merits. Good graphics are a traditional requirement, not something that justifies a 8 automatically. The gameplay has the AI and characters working in illogical ways, I literally had one character entire body jerk in a unnatural fashion because it got stuck on the side of a walkpath completely breaking the immersion. Joel was absolutely the best part of TLOU, with Elle a far second, and honestly this Joel deserves his fate, as his character is not consistent with his first game values. The needless vengeance cycle of a narrative is boring and uninteresting, especially considering one faction is 100 times more interesting than the other, and then try to make you care for both of them.

    I did not finish the game, nor do I care too, I even spoiled the ending for myself because there was no drive any longer, I merely took a long breath, stood up from chair, and turned off my Console. That game will be deleted from my library, because even with context, that ending is far more insulting and showcases that they are too scared to double down on their own bleak world. To try and weasel out a happy ending when you went at lengths to paint a foreboding and unloved world to have it just 180 and scam out of us... no, the game should have ended roughly 90 minutes in, when you had certain characters meet their fate, they all should have had the same fate, because you established this bleak world, and that is what people would do to survive. You are such cowards Naughty Dog, you could not even stick to your own convictions.

    I am going to give this a 3/10 because It has mediocre game-play and exceptional graphics, as that is what the benchmark should be for those two. But the lack of innovation, the narrative inconsistencies, the stupid mistakes characters make that go against everything they stood for as characters, I am going to pour a glass of whiskey for the legacy of the TLOU, because in my mind, them driving off into the sunset was the only ending to this video game series.    … Expand

    A good game mechanically speaking and a beautiful game in terms of graphics, you can see the effort that the devs/graphic team and the QA team has put into this game, but unfortunately a complete disaster in terms of story telling. I had to stop playing after a few hours, I felt just too disgusted to continue hence my low score.

Как они слили просто Джоела, который никогда не верил незнакомцам, а тут поверил. Нелогичные поступки Элли, всех убивает, чтобы добраться до Эбби, но когда встречается с ней, щадит.... просто нет слов, только негодование, уже успокоилась, живет мирно с семьей, но решила отомстить, бросила Дину и ребёнка, чтобы отомстить, но пощадила.... логика есть?
    И почему я должен играть за убийцу любимого персонажа? Saw the leaks, but decided to give the game a shot anyway in hopes the leaks were a mis-characterisation. But man do I regret my dicision.. Within 2 hours they kill off Joel in the worst way possible without earning it whatsoever, by a character know nothing about. And thats just the beginning. I stopped playing after 9 hours. Watched the rest of the plot points on youtube and lets just say I'm glad I stopped playing. If you loved TLOU 1, then ignore this game.… Expand

The critic reviews made it seem like the first half of the game was Ellie and Joel oriented, but Joel dies in the first hour or so of playing the game. The trailers even outright lie to make it seem like Joel will be a part of Ellies path of vengeance when he pulls her away and asks "You think I'd let you do this on your own?" And later character swaps him with Jessie instead. Joel dying was expected, but it was so poorly done that it leaves a bad taste. Parts of the game came off as a teen drama. Dialogue about ex girlfriends/boyfriends, breakups, pregnancies, cheating etc. They've skipped ahead several years and you're expected to just already be connected to strangers. The character and relationship development is non existent. You spend most of the game chasing after Tommy with Dina and finding Joels killers, getting some revenge on the way and the toll it takes on Ellie, which is decent. When you finally get face to face with Abby the game just pauses and sends you back twelve hours to see her side of things. I knew you would be playing as Abby but I expected it to blend more seamlessly. Instead it feels like all of your progress is ripped away for the sake of sympatizhing with someone you've been hunting down and it's not done well. She comes off as self righteous and holier than thou. When you're finally done with her part you get back to the scene you left at and you're forced to fight Ellie as Abby. You shoot tommy in the face, beat Ellie and Dina almost to death, and then let them go. You get a short piece of Ellies life with Dina on a farm, rasing a child together. Ellie has severe PTSD over Joels death. Tommy comes in with info on Abby. He's now disabled and is separated from his wife. When Ellie isn't sure about going, he screams at Ellie for breaking a promise to him. Ellie ends up leaving Dina behind to find Abby, who's been captured by a group. Ellie is nearly captured by those same people and goes to their location to find Abby, releases her, fights with her and ends up letting her go, losing two fingers in the process. When she returns home Dina is gone and all of her things are in one room. She tries to play guitar, but it doesn't work as well. After a flashback of talking to Joel about trying to forgive him for lying, she is seen walking off in the distance. She loses everything for nothing and so does Tommy. The story is a 0/10 and the only thing that gets it a few more points is how gorgeous the game is and the one sentimental flashback of Joel taking Ellie to a dinosaur/space museum. That was the best part in the whole game and that's honestly sad.… Expand

    Another thing that I really enjoyed was the AI. I think the human enemies were brilliantly made. They were hard to combat because they constantly flank you or move around so they are behind you. The fact that they have names and unique voice lines really added to the immersion for me, especially when they would get sad because I killed their dog. Every single encounter felt fresh and unpredictable to me and I never got bored. To the contrary, sometimes I would start over encounters just to play them again because they felt so awesome and I wanted to try doing something else the second time.

    The story is Amazing! I don't understand why people are so angry about the development of the story line in this game. Apparently people want things to stay the same and just want bland sequels for all eternity instead of something moving and drastic like this.

    But even if you completely took away the story, just for the sake of argument, this game would still be one of the best games ever made so far, just in terms of gameplay, graphics, sound work, world building, pacing... You name it, this game does it better.

    This game kept me on the edge of my seat and gave me everything i wanted from a Naughty Dog game and more! Best game they ever made! Mad respects to the team!    … Expand

    The game itself in terms of graphics and voice acting is superb and unmatched. In terms of gameplay, it practically uses the same exact mechanics from its predecessor. There is no nuance or improvement aside from the fact you can now jump at specific locations when prompted. However, aside from that, the story simply alienates the majority of the fans from the original, by mercilessly butchering one of its beloved character in a lazy attempt to justify the sequence of events for rest of the game. In addition, the director's claim that this is a story of revenge, its vicious circle and its consequences, is completely undermined by the main character choosing to "not revenge" at the end. Exactly what are the consequences of revenge, when said revenge never occurred? Its almost as if Naughty Dog decided the story was not good enough and backed out at the last minute, just like its main character did. The only one who took revenge and was rewarded for it, was the main villain. This is why I give this title a 3.5. The Last Of Us Part 2 is nothing more than the most beautiful paperweight you will ever purchase.    … Expand

    Nothing new in this game. All what showed we already seen in other games. There is nothing special. Very poor script. I cannot compare this game with Part 1. I have playd around 15 hours or more and I havent any emotions. Wont play more.

As the beginning i want to say that it was obvious: second part had really small chances to jump over the first. I love all Naughty dogs games, pre-ordered new ones and bought copies of remastered after completing them on previous consoles. Watching the trailers and game play was preparing me for perfect AI, planning strategy and enjoy the adventure.
    Creators succeed in some of that. AI still works weird, sometimes they hear my steps, in other situation they cannot see me face to face. Hope this will be fixed in future patches or in real life game level. Shooting is almost the same as in first part, not all enemies die after head shot, people are alive after shotgun shooting. Melee fighting is full of blood and violence, it's probably the best part which i liked in this game.
    Stealth is not variable, the amount of bullets is really small again, it looks much more funny, when in some scenes and clips the amount of ammo is infinite.
    Physics, optimization and graphics are awesome, i am not a specialist, but this game works in HDR 4K without freezes and lags, loading is super short comparing to Uncharted 4 for example.
    Storytelling: I've got the main idea about violence forwards us to more violence and Elly decides that enough of that. That everybody is equal and we have to protect our private life and don't be shame of that. But Naughty dog, answer please, why you give me to play for steroid woman, who kills our favorite hero, who all game follows pretty guy, who doesn't want to be with her because of her mental sickness, she doesn't want kids, she doesn't want to be happy, she doesn't want to live peacefully, all her life is war and vengeance. Why the most dramatic moments are going around pregnant women? You are showing us strong independent girls, who anyway become women, with letter W. They need love and understanding, doesn't matter how they look like, they are following their basic instincts. Even after all this story of Abby, i didn't feel anything good about her, her father didn't want to give Elly a chance to live and any of us would do the same as Joel. Elly made friends to go far way away from home to payback and she stops after that, becomes mommy? Saving Abby's life after she felt bad all these years, seeing flashbacks, cannot sleep, with Dina? Are you serious?
    I am disappointed and really sorry. Sorry for the creators of the first part. I was ready for the propaganda of feminism and lg bt, even about comparing/showing religion as some sect and showing how girl wants to become a boy, but writers destroyed our story, our love, which we felt about father and daughter. Tries of showing bad guys as good ones didn't succeed. Thanks for showing cuts with Joel, It was really strong. Thanks for the game, even after all my negative experience, it's still better than 90% of games today. You crushed one more second part in history of movies and gaming, after all these licks and how you act with your workers i give 3/10, because their work has been destroyed. ''I don't think i can ever forgive you for that. But i would like to try.'' You followed hype and your own wishes, instead of listening to the fans and ignoring our feelings, hope you will learn from this. If i knew what will be in the game, i won't buy it.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i am the biggest last of us fan, i just made an account to rate this game, i have so much to critique for but let me give u the main point. the game's vision is extraordinary but they way it was implemented was so poor that it hurt credibility of naughty dog.
    the game tries to show us that they is no main protagonist and that everyone has a balance of good and evil in them even in ellie and joel. in the ending ellie spares abby to prove a point that she is better then abby but what neil druckmann fail to understand is that ellie killed so many people just to reach abby, don't these people lives's carry any weight and why doesnt ellie not have a change of heart before and spares those lives rather than have a change of heart when she got hold of abby. doesn't that mean all those lives she took to get to abby was for nothing and makes her decision to spare abby even worse.
    in fact there is a point in the game where she beats a girl to death with an axe till she gets ptsd from it she didn't have a change in heart back then. the game revolves around revenge so keep it that way.but the game actively goes in a way to force u to like abby and empathize for her even though she relentlessly beaten joel to death right after he saved her.
    the game actively tries to force u to be tolerant to the obnoxious plots, bad pacing, horrible characters and pushing agendas that clearly don't fit in the game like feminism/trans/LGBTQ it feels forced especially the sex scene.
    all in all the two things things that would dramatically improve the game was they way joel's death was to be handled and replacing the characters with more interesting ones that are relatable and convincing. while rearranging the plot to fix the bad pacing.    … Expand

Go out and just kill clickers, there is nothing that significant in terms of game-play. The story is garbage too; terrible writing that butchered the story (she also killed Joel for revenge).     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
