    You turn on the TV and there is someone talking about politics, you conect to facebook and there is someone posting about politics. Politics everywhere. The last thing I want in a videogame is to come home after working hard to have politics and Ideologies inside a game.

    The best game I have ever played. The story driven game I waited for for years with the best graphics I have ever seen on the PS4. The gameplay is great and takes little getting used to, the music is atmospheric and most of all, the storytelling is beautiful.
    I won't spoiler here, but get ready for an amazing game.

    The original had a bland/repetitive game-play, sure, but the story compensated it with its incredible world and characters but the part II turned this into the bland game-play of the original game... the best part of the game. i.e. everything is in the negative but the game-play.

    There needs to be an good editor in these things to kick those kinds of stories to the curve. Otherwise, this studio is done for.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all, my critic isn't in ANY WAY directed to any aspect of gender as said so by many people who enjoyed the game. First of all, adressing the story problems of "retconning", wich is directly affected by the character of Joel, that dies very early in the game (problematic in this sense and also on the fact that Naughty Dog has put scenes with him in the trailer, but in the final product is another character), making the way for the entire plot of Ellie's revenge. The story by itself is pretty weak and cliché, but could at least had some more convincing end. For example a very simple way of fixing the end: Both Abby and Ellie getting captured and they are forced to work with each other to escape the enemies, and then later, have the very same ending. Why? Because this would at least make more sense for Ellie's internal emotional conflict. Gameplay-wise it's kinda ok, nothing changed that much from the first one but at least I could see some improvements on the AI and map exploring (it's a little bit bigger if compared), but again, nothing really changed. I expected more from Naughty Dog, this is the first time that they are doing something more 'risky', but at least I waiting for something more convincing. Huge congratulations for the team that worked on the engine, as well the animations, sound design, voice and acting. Sadly I can't say the same for the writing. 4/10.… Expand

    The graphics are good, animations are good. Its a shame the awful story ruins it. Its clear the reason certain things happen is because of the games LGBTQ agenda. If you play the game, you can clearly see the hate towards males and male protagonists. This game had so much potential, but a political agenda clearly got in the way.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The problem with this game is not the LGBTQ stuff or Ellie being gay or Abby being buff or looking trans. The problem with this game is the complete assassination of the main characters, Joel was killed off in such a dumb way and to early, then they make you play the person who killed him in order to build sympathy for that character..except it doesn’t work. The ending is even worse. Imagine going to see John Wick where he kills everyone except the actual person who killed his dog and then let him live. The story is a terrible twist on the cliche revenge plot used in all media and it is a complete kick in the face to all the fans of this franchise. There is good about this game though it has set a new bar for how games should look, sound, and play. Everything except the story is absolutely game of the year material but when you make a 30 hour long story game (mine took me far less but that is the designed time) but the story is absolute disrespectful garbage then you have no game at all. Personally I regret getting this game as i have been looking forward to it for 7 years. I’ll just consider the end of tlou 1 as the canon ending since in my opinion I think the last of us is perfect (even it’s flaws). I didn’t expect this game to be better or as good as the first but it is the absolute worst it could possibly be in terms of storytelling.… Expand

    I will never buy another game from Naughty Dog or anyone who worked on this project who worked in the department responsible for the story. Avoid this game just watch it on YouTube and see for yourself. Looks great plays clunky and the story is horrible. What an absolute let down

    Without a doubt one of the worst creative descions I've ever seen in video games. Yes the graphics and set pieces are superb .. however the story and the characters they decided to show here are all shallow husks of what the previous game offered. It's quite clear the studio had quotass to fullfill and not stories to tell

Abby & the doctor: the doctor is selfish killing an innocent kid for nothing didn’t even answer Marlin question when she asked what if it’s your daughter just hoping the world come back easy we all know it takes a lot of years it might not work even,

    Abby: she finds Joel 4 years later kills him after saving her from dying she brutally killed him at least he gave her father a quick death hurts a lot of people and escaped wining she is no better than her father at least she had a parent while Ellie didn’t they want us to fell her side all I feel is hate and anger and wish that she never existed.

    The story is beyond awful, new characters are empty, and not much improvement on game play (which can be expected as uncharteds haven't changed much). I don't mind you want to have politically correct content in the game, but I don't want it overflows everywhere. Good job to ruin your one of the best franchises.

    i just wished that politics weren't the focus of the game, there was so many waisted potential in this game and honestly speaking as a fan, its pretty hard to defend it    … Expand

    Now to elaborate, first let's talk about TLOU1:

    - You start the game as Joel's daughter. Then she dies. In the intro. Brutal. To the hands of a main human antagonist (authority). Sets the tone for the rest of the game. Revenge. Anger. Violence.
    - She gets replaced by another character. Ellie.
    - You get hurt really bad mid-game. You get to play as Ellie. Just to be in her shoes, and realize how badass she is, and how much you/Joel care about her.
    - If you're a fan like me, you got to play a second time as her in the DLC. Explaning further what she did when joel was hurt. And she did that to save him. You also learn that she is a lesbian. Her first love dies.
    - Some other loveable characters like Bill and that woman from the beginning die during the game. Including the Head of the fireflies.
    - Joel kills hundreds of people not to save mankind, but to keep Ellie alive for him. That's beautiful, and this is why people (like me) love that game. But also, from a humanity perspective, he did that for nothing.
    - You stealth kill with a bow and arrow, fight clickers, or just walk beautiful nieghborhoods, and cuddle giraffes.

    => GOTY. best game ever. People like it. Nothing to say storywise, or technically speaking (music, graphics, gameplay mechanics, fun, narration, escape factor, etc.

    There was four-chan in 2013. But no alt-right vs. feminism civil war yet.

    Now TLOU2:

    - If you're a fan, you probably get to play as other characters in upcoming DLC. Explaning things further too.

    - Ellie kills hundreds of people not to get Kratos revenge, but to realize that Joel is alive in her thoughts, and that killing some more won't bring him back. That's beautiful, and this is why people (like me) love that game. But also, from another perspective, she did that for nothing. As she doesn't kill Abby, and ends up dramatically hurt.
    - You stealth kill with a bow and arrow, fight clickers, or just walk beautiful nieghborhoods and sceneries.
    - And a few more surprises

    => GOTY. best game ever for the press and the professionals, the ones deemd controversial and the others. But some people hate it. Nothing to say technically speaking (music, graphics, gameplay mechanics, fun, narration, escape factor, etc.), so they spit on it storywise.

    Four-chan is overtaken by alt-right vs. feminists drama, and a Y Generation that find everything "cringy" and violently hate anything within minutes, as if it was the end of their world.

It is devastating to witness the gaming world being filled with today's real world problems, It not a game that is meant to be enjoyed anymore, It has a message, did we ask for that? I suppose not.
    The game was leaked way before launch, you have seen people raging over the leaks, and yet still you decided to launch it without even considering delaying it and changing what couldve been changed. This was a totally failed attempt to copy Red Dead series (with killing the protagonists)
    It is indeed heartbreaking for me to see Naughty dog murdering this game, Unexpected from them i must say, but here we are.

    If you are the type of person who needs to have homosexuality driven down your throat while trying to play a game you might enjoy this. Otherwise the controls are absolutely horrible, and the whole game is stuck in a track with no freedom whatsoever. You're just watching someone read a book. And the book is horrible.

    O impacto emocional que o game causa e algo que eu nunca vi em toda minha vida, seja com as cenas gráficas de violência mais realistas já produzidas em um jogo, ou com a historia envolvente. A gameplay permaneceu muito parecida com a do primeiro jogo, mas com algumas adições que a tornou muito mais dinâmica, o jogo realmente e incrível.
