    After the wonderful game that was "the last of us" i was hopeful for the second one only to be massively disappointed. I find the story horrid and insulting, I could understand the concept a circle of violence story if they had kept with the quality of the first story. But instead, they decided to pander and make the game a prime of example of selling out to be inclusive.     Graphics - 10 Wonderful looking but that's to be expected
    Gameplay - 7 feels a bit dated but still good
    Story - 2 love the concept of a circle of violence, but am quite disappointed so far
    That averages out to a 6 but due to the feeling of sheer disrespect of the first game i am knocking of 2 more points, I will finish the game but i highly doubt my feelings will change    … Expand

    I'm not a big fan of how little actual play there seems to be, plus it's a revenge story with no revenge. I doubt I will finish this game.

    It's like it was made for kids and I mean that in a bad way

    There's no downplaying what Naughty Dog has achieved on a technical level. The graphics and gameplay are absolutely stunning and incredible. The customization on the way you want to play your playthrough is far ahead of anything Naughty Dog has put out before. If you're simply looking to play this game for the gameplay then you will thoroughly enjoy the experience.

    Unfortunately that's not what most people are looking for in this game. Unlike the gameplay and visuals I can not give the storytelling the same level of praise.

    The Last of Us Part II makes incredibly strange choices in storytelling that constantly made me want to quit and put my controller down. The majority of new additional characters are incredibly unlikeable and/or flat out boring yet the game wants to try and force them down your throats when you'd rather they just get killed off. That added on by the fact that they feel like replacements for characters you'd already grown to love from the first game.

    This is coming from somebody who thoroughly loved the first game, if you've come to experience another incredibly emotional journey and the continuation of Ellie and Joel's story then I'm sorry to say that you'll be incredibly disappointed.    … Expand

You did not invent things that no one else wants but you must consider this. Just as you want to prove your opinion, there are others whose opinions must be respected.     The plot seems as if it was writen by a 14 year old teen with mental disorders, killing here and there without sense, trying to colocate the player in a harsh post apocaliptic time but breaking the immersion every time with the poor cohesion.
    Killing Joel to make Ellie grow up at full is one of the most mediocre resources this game brings up.
    Abby is a flat, dull and pathetical character.
    Her reasons to act lack of deepness.

    Violence bears revenge, is the game's mantra.
    Yet still it splashes you that violence in a way that you get fed up.    … Expand

I do feel awful for the people that designed the games environment and graphics because its one of the best I've seen in a game and now all of the studio is going to get this much backlash for the most questionable decisions in story telling ever.

    But before that I do believe the gameplay has barely improved. I expected something more than a jump button, dogs and the ability to crawl. Then if the gameplay isn't much improved then surely the main focus of the game is the story. Which is the worst part of the game. None of the charm and connection from the first game is here. Joel the character I loved most from the last game is killed very early in the game and honestly I wanted to stop playing there. But I forced myself onwards. When they announced the game we all sort of knew Joel was going to die in some way. But the way they did it here is extremely disrespectful to the character that was one of the best parts of the original. They could of done it in such a beautiful way like Lee Everett from the telltale walking dead series. Or Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2. Hitting so emotionally and satisfyingly. But when Joel gets clubbed to death instead and you only feel so much anger towards abby. But i thought okay this is the villain and Joel's death is a driving force. I'm still annoyed but if I get an adult furious and faithful to character Ellie on a hunt for abby with a great ending and emotion in the story i can still give the game a 7. But no. You play as the villain that killed your favourite character. One of the most iconic characters in gaming. And you play as their murderer of the icon of the first game for half of the game. When i started playing as abby I put my controller down in rebellion of this decision because I couldn't accept the stupidity of this. Throughout all of the time with abby the game wanted me to sympethesis with her but I just felt rage towards her. But I also hated playing as Ellie. The side characters are just... eh... just average at best. Returning characters feel off and new characters are boring. But Ellie is the worst at this. In the original she was the little light in the depressing world but here she's stoic and cold and not very likable. But i haven't touched on the ending. We go through armies as Ellie with over 100+ peoples blood on our hands just to reach abby and then let her go. She lets go the murderer of her father figure. No one would do this. I mean at least if we killed her id be a bit happier. All in all the game is maybe okay with gameplay and idiotic when it comes to story. The only thing I can compare it to is if in God of War 2 kratos gets killed by Freya and then we play as her running away from atreus. And then at the end atreus let's her go because of... reasons.

    The only good thing in this game are the graphics, story side were VERY bad, it makes last of us 1 doesnt even matter. Original character were OFF, its a downgraded character development from the previous one. That's what happen when you put too much politics in games over fan base.

    The game is wonderful! Do not look at the rating! The gameplay is amazing the best visual ever see on PS4 deserves 10/10! Just the story a little worse than the first part was! I personally recommend this game.

    There's no way any of these douche bags who gave it a 6 or lower has finished the game. I'm rating it 10 just to counteract the biased **** ratings. I love the gameplay and art direction to bits. Story it lacking a bit but I think people are upset with leaks. Simple.

    Think of this score as a "4" out of "5" as you know the Factions mode is delayed. It will surely be a "9" with it in it.

    Story: I am happy with it, IT is a much better outcome over ND "milking" it. This game is more about the world then the two favorable protagonists that live in it..     El juego esta bien en el aspecto de mecánicas, detalles y todo aquello, gráficamente sabíamos que le sacaría todo a una PlayStation 4 pero la historia, el punto fuerte del juego es como si la hubiera hecho un director de Netflix, escenas de sexo totalmente innecesarias.     Make a fun game, i want to judge people by their actions not by their looks, killing old characters at the start of the game is a bad choice for a story

    Besides the graphics & gameplay this game is not worth the money & surely not worth your time. If you were a fan of the first game there are bits and pieces of ellie & joel fan service sprinkled out throughout the story , besides this I can't think of any other redeeming qualities that would make this game worth anybody's time.

    I didn't buy TLOU2 for its gameplay because I knew it was going to be like part1. I expected great graphics and sound effects because its a AAA title. I expected great music because that was achieved in part1. I didnt buy TLOU2 for its gameplay I bought it for its fantastic story telling that I expected like we got from TLOU1.

    The story was what made part 1 so special and in part 2, well..... The story forces unlikable characters down my throat. The game introduces 2 new characters Owen and Abby. Abby kills Joel shoots him in the leg and uses a golf club. Ellie wants revenge
    THEN OWEN HAS SEX WITH ABBY???
    Owen is the brother of Joel THE SAME CHARACTER ABBY KILLED
    And there is more garbage but IM DONE! JUST WATCH THE STORY BUT DON'T BUY THE GAME.
    Im mad the story makes NO freaking sense and it destroyed the TLOU franchise
    It threw the story through the 4th floor window and panders to LGBTQ community. If I recall correctly a certain dev was saying how we shouldn't sexualize females in games and then turns right around and sexualized men. The hypocrisy is astounding.

Naughty Dog has made back to back great games with the Uncharted Franchise and the Jak and Daxter franchise. The first time they dropped the Last Of Us was a great addition to their story telling, character introduction that were relatable, caring, having there ups and downs. They were likable, intelligent and unpredictable. Here, in The last of Us Part 2 all of that just gets thrown out the way and instead they focus on a message they completely draws the game away from what it was mean't to be; A journey between two characters facing challenges, meeting new people and faced with new problems in a interesting world of the infected that has taken over the world and mutations that are terrifying and unique. In addition to that, the gameplay is more or less the same as the first game except with revamped animations that flow better and new way to brutalize your opponents, but this can only bring the game so far. You have over 10+ hours of this game and it's the same thing that consists over and over only with a different layout. So you'll get good enjoyment after 3 hours but after the remaining 7+ hours you have to sit there and chore yourself over getting through the game. In conclusion this game is NOT a MUST PLAY. It is far from that. A MUST play is a game like God of War, Uncharted, and or Horizon Zero Dawn, i would literally RATHER PLAY A XBOX TITLE then play this game and that's coming from a 15 year PlayStation user.

    My message to Naughty Dog or Neil Druckmann after this dumpster fire is from the words of a good game ( God Of War ) : Do not be sorry. Be better.    … Expand

Solo es buena la jugabilidad y ambientación la historia es de las peores que se han podido ver en un videojuego, no sólo por cargarse el primer juego con la muerte de Joel sino porque murió absurdamente y de la peor forma y lo mató el personaje más ridículo que se puede haber visto creado siguiendo la filosofía de una desarrolladora y un director nefasta, por la que una mujer que tiene por constitución natural es la de un hombre. Esta constitución solo es posible con una dieta y un entrenamiento específico, por una mutación genética, o siendo transgénero, pero si es una mujer biológicamente normal (sin ningún tipo de mutación) como han confirmado los desarrolladores es un personaje totalmente ridículo. No contentos con esto en la historia de supuesta venganza Ellie mata a varios del Grupo de Abby pero cuando te puede llegar el momento de hacerlo con Abby derrepente aprende la "lección" Y siente empatía mandestrozando el fin que tiene el juego. El juego más decepcionante de la historia. The Walking Dead ya tomó una dirección similar a esta cargando se a los personajes más importantes de la serie y casi se carga todo su fandom pero a diferencia de The last of Us supieron fregar con Rick lo que sería el equivalente a Joel e incluso consiguieron salvar la serie. Pero The Last of Us Parte 2 gracias a Neil Druckman y a su equipo ha sido destrozado y solo hay que ver la decepción por parte de todos los jugadores en la muerte de Joel (por ejemplo la de muchos streamers que reivindican de forma natural que no tenía que haber pasado y en cima tener que jugar con su asesina, os habéis lucido espero sinceramente que no volváis a dirigir ninguna franquicia de videojuegos realmente querida por los jugadores por que ya se os vió el plumero con Nadine en Uncharted 4, cuando no es para nada creíble que pegara tales papalizas a los hermanos Drake cuando son dos personas muy experimentadas en combate, destacando Nathan que se cargaba a todo dios y lo habéis rematado con The Last of Us Parte 2.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part 2 takes everything that was great about the first game and expands on it. The combat is pretty much identical, but there are some new puzzle mechanics to shake up the slow exploration sections. The story is still fairly generic, but the characters and dialogue is so well written that it is very easy to get immersed in the world.

    Amazing graphics with solid game play. The feel is familiar while refreshed enough to enjoy. The reason for the score of 3 is the story. This feels like it is driven by spite, and I am unsure what drives it. I have no interest in the franchise going forward, and recommend you avoid this game at all cost to not sully the masterpiece that the first was. .

In my mind, to say that the gameplay is on par with the first game simply because of mechanically similarties is kind of like saying that the gameplay of horse is the same as an NBA playoffs match.    … Expand

    All the hate bombing that this is receiving is laughable. This game is simply a masterpiece. The things that people are complaining about, I found absolutely awesome. This is one amazing way to close out the PS4 and flow into the new generation of gaming on the PS5. Great Job!

A typical combat system, a cast of boring characters with less dimension than a piece of poster board, the "shot from the rooftops virtue signaling", but most if all the destruction of the previous installments story. It is the Jim Belushi of sequels, it wants so hard to be as good as the original and falls so short. Yes he deserved to die for basically sacrificing humanity for Ellie, but not like that man. They introduce a character no one knows anything about. Just to have that person kill one of the main character of the previous game. By beating his head in with a golf club. At least give us an hour or two of game play with Abby. That way we can start to understand her rage. The devs rushed it leaving the players with nothing, but rage after watching the character they loved get beat to death. Not being able to do anything to stop it. Then the ending come and finally we can kill Abby. We can have avenge Joel’s death. And the Devs say NO they don’t give you an option to kill her. You just let her go she’s set free. All that build up for nothing just a clear set up for a third game. Awful just awful don’t waste your money on this game.… Expand

When the E3 2018 trailer for this game came out and showed Ellie and Dina kissing, there was a small yet vocal part of the gaming community upset over this game, because they believed there was an "agenda." Very reminiscent of the Gamers Rise Up group (GRU for short) Some of these people in the GRU were the same ones upset about Nadine from Uncharted 4, they thought Naughty Dog was pushing an agenda because in their mind a woman can't beat a man in hand-to-hand combat, even if she is the leader of a mercenary group.

    The written leaks (which are all fake with the exception of Joel dying) had everybody in an uproar. These people claimed to be upset about the game, and didn't want to buy the game because they thought the story was bad, which is a clear lie. As evident by the many people that made videos, comments and twitter posts about the leaks, they were upset only for 2 things: the death of Joel and the (false) leak that claimed Abby was a transgender that you play as during the last half of the game to hunt down and kill Ellie.

    Once GRU got called out for trashing a game for frivolous reasons, they tried to switch up and pretend it was the crunch culture of Naughty Dog that upset them. Many more false rumors came out, about Naughty Dog not paying their employees, and Anita Sarkeesian helping with the game. There were also false rumors about how Neil forced other people out. There has been no proof to back up any of these rumors. As for GRU being upset at Naughty Dog's crunch culture, it's quite clear these people didn't give a damn about that, considering that they sent hate and death threats towards the same people they claimed to feel bad for. Notice how GRU hasn't mentioned the crunch culture at Naughty Dog since April. They hated a game that wasn't even out yet for garbage reasons and tried to pivot.

    Channels got striked for showing leaked footage and GRU, insistent on seeing this game fail, pivoted towards that being the reason why they hated the game. Another pivot. This angry minority of people in the gaming community began to go on a crusade for months, spoiling the game for other people, sending death threats to people at Naughty Dog, harassing the voice actors and shouting out some pretty vile things towards gay people and transgender people.

    The reviews come out and GRU called the ones with early copies, shills. They claimed they were on Sony's payroll and wouldn't say anything bad about their games, which is the dumbest thing I ever heard considering the ones that got early copies have been critical towards Sony exclusives multiple times in the past. GRU clinged on to the reviewers that didn't enjoy the game, and used that as more fuel that they were right about the game. Keep in mind, the full game still isnt even out.

    This game hasn't even been out a full day and it has more user reviews than The Last of Us does, and that game has been out for 7 years. Most of the user reviews are giving this game a straight up 0 out of 10, or a 4 out of 10, and their comments are filled with bs. You can clearly tell in these comments that these people have not played the game, or even seen a walkthrough of the game because they parrot comments from reviewers that were critical on the game, or they get info about the game blatantly wrong. I don't know how anyone can value user reviews after seeing this game is clearly being reviewed bombed by a group of people who have believed since 2016, that Naughty Dog is pushing an agenda.

    This game is easily the best game I've played all year, will that remain the case after Ghost of Tsushima and Cyperpunk comes out? Idk, but right now it's easily the game of the year. Everything about this game is perfect, I enjoyed the story, but the story is not a perfect. I feel like they could have executed some things a little better, specifically when it comes to Abby. I think after the initial cutscene with Joel giving Ellie the guitar, it should have showed Joel's rampage through the hospital from Abby's point of view. Then hop into Abby getting split up from Owen and then you switch to playing as Ellie.

    For those of you who have legit concerns and are trying to gauge whether or not to like this game, don't listen to the people spouting hate and writing the game off as having nothing good going for it. But don't listen to the people calling it a perfect game either, because it's not. If you liked the gameplay of the 1st one, you're gonna like the gameplay in this one. And I feel like even if you dont like the story (for legitimate reasons, not because you think an agenda is being pushed) the gameplay will make up for it.    … Expand

And for the love of God, never, ever disrespect game characters and your own fan base like this! While the game sports great graphics and sound design, everything falls flat due to horrendous design decisions (gratuitous violence over innovation), clunky gameplay and a plot that neither innovates nor builds on the strength of the predecessor. What's more irritating is the constant forced face feeding of the underlying message within this game, which leaves a very sour and bitter taste in your mouth.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
