    Pool of ****, graphics that's the only good thing about this, everything else is either mediocre or down right awful. The history is a bad movie, Joel (protagonist in the first game) died in a ridiculous way, the history is very very forced, pushes you down your throat sealing.

    The Last Of Us was one of the best gamed I have ever played. The Last Of Us 2 is one of the worst games I have ever played. Naughty Dog has no clue what made the Last of Us great. They have lost too much talent in recent years and we are left with this trash.

Talking about a badly written story makes no sense when I’m following along, all of the points connect with the previous title.     Positives : Gameplay - Graphics (X2) - Cutscenes - Acting - i guess soundtrack ? ( didn't feel anything special)
    Negatives : STORY ( story with all capital letters, yes ) - unlikable characters - unnecessarily long
    Note : 0 point reviews are trolls but this game surly has it own flaws...

    A game is remembered for the fun it makes you feel when you play it like gameplay, landscape design, graphics, mechanics, etc. But a game is also remembered for what it made you feel and what feelings it left you when you FINISHED IT, and The Last of Us ll has both and we have to admit it. It will not have the recognition that the game itself deserves for labor issues and others (which isA game is remembered for the fun it makes you feel when you play it like gameplay, landscape design, graphics, mechanics, etc. But a game is also remembered for what it made you feel and what feelings it left you when you FINISHED IT, and The Last of Us ll has both and we have to admit it. It will not have the recognition that the game itself deserves for labor issues and others (which is important, obviously) but it must be admitted that few games make you feel a very complete experience like this.… Expand

    I give it 1 for the visual quality but other than that this game made me feel sick inside and i dont see myself ever buying another Naughty Dog game which is a shame because for years they put great game after great game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game was impressive in regards to its visuals, sound design, voice acting, scenery and game play. What brought this game down was the story and more specifically its execution.

    It opts to go for the bleakest possible outcomes in every scenario. It glorifies its misery. It cynically and naively assumes the worst of humanity out of literally every single person left in the world.

    The game wants you to understand there are multiple sides to every story/person but in doing so, it forces that down your throat while almost ignoring all attempts at developing other parts of the story. An example of this is when Abby kills Joel towards the beginning of the game without (to the knowledge of the player) any reason. This immediately makes the player despise the character, regardless of what justifications they may have in the future. It makes the player completely unable to empathize with Abby getting her revenge. But it constantly tries to make her more likeable and more human in most of her scenes, while at the same time making Ellie and Joel look as bad as possible.

    Then there's that ending. Put simply, "revenge is bad" but only if you're Ellie. Whereas Abby gets hers and more.

    The entire game is just the player watching helplessly and annoyed as the characters make bad decision after bad decision that you don't want them to make. It removes player agency entirely,

    Not only did we all knew from the trailer that the Part 2 will be about Ellie's revenge but also you all wanted to play again as Joel? Just let the old man die already and be with his daughter... Yeah, the graphics are good (personally I thought RDR2's were much better and that was three years ago) and it's pretty smooth. Gameplay is the same as the first game, but you're in it for the story, characters and relationships, all of which goes out the window in this game. Everyone feels out of character, acts out of character, and there's no arcs or growth. They're just miserable, and the game makes sure you are miserable too. Violence was expected, and I'm typically more than fine with it, but a lot of the time it felt too over the top and had me flinching.The plot makes no sense at all, with huge plot holes, no arc, and having everything out of order feels sloppy and disjointed. Also, playing as Abby is a **** slog. They show her brutally kill Joel before giving her a "sympathy arc", which just solidifies me hating her before she gets a chance. Why is she important? We've killed so many as Joel and even more as Ellie. Who gives a **** about her father? The first game was about redemption, how you can always find something to live for, and how even the darkest paths can be turned off of. The first game ended with the player weighing the question of "was Joel's choice acceptable?" But this game doesn't allow you to sit with that anymore. The uncertainty of if Ellie knows and is going along with the lie or actually believes him is thrown out. This game literally has the director lookalike spit on that story's dead body. The relationships from the first game are gone. The characters are gone. The message is gone. What's the point. The ending doesn't even complete the story and just leaves you upset and unsatisfied. What a **** waste. If you haven't condemned your 60 bucks just look up the intro and the museum scene and save yourself the ordeal of the most disappointing game I've ever played.… Expand

    I played through the first one on launch day on the ps4 and loved it, this sequel give me those old feeling again of exploration and getting lost in this awesome world. Yes yes (spoiler) a loved character dies, I did tear up but it added to the story and the drive of ellie. Listen, Do Not listen to these people, a LOT of them haven't even played the game, but they are so miserable with their lives, that they spend their days trashing things they haven't even tried, and the others went in with a negative opinion due to spoilers.. Douchebags... I will admit, that I didn't like the one major thing that happened, it really bummed me out, BUT these games are amazing, and I literally had more emotional attachment, and feeling during the first six hours of this game, than 100 other games I've played(If EVER at all).. The gameplay is great, they fixed a bunch of the little issues I had with the game, and it plays MUCH smoother, the combat is fantastic, and I CAN'T wait to play it again (Definitely need some sleep first though lol). One scene, does Not make a game bad, and just because YOU wouldn't have gone that direction, doesn't mean it's bad, when you make games, you get to decide what happens, until then, shut your mouths, or go Blog to other miserable People like yourself.. This game tells a heartfelt, incredible story, and there are very few games like it as far as emotional weight.. Again, maybe I wish one thing went another way, but guess what, this is the APOCALYPSE, People die, bad things HAPPEN, if you want the fairy tale ending, go watch Disney movies… Expand

    How could Sony have greenlighted this garbage?! HOW!!!??? This game is so appalling and frustrating it should have never been made. Rabid far-left SJWism has destroyed a once great game developer and it is a shame to see.

But the thing they've done is so horrific that you won't care what their motivations are. The only pleasure you derive from that half of the game is seeing every one of her death animations.

Just finished the game a couple minutes ago and all i can think is, meh. 4 out of 10 only for graphics sake, but please fire N.D.

Literally the worst entertainment experience I've ever had. I should have read the spoilers. Forgive me. Now to get my money back.

    you messed this one up, the only reason i bought this game is because i liked the 1st one and i appreciate the teams hardwork and would like them to get paid for their effort, not the directors and top level decision makers, neil druckmann should retire.

    So now for the review, there's a difference between storytelling and story. Storytelling has to do with how the story is told, with which steps the production take to make something believable, good storytelling make a world concise. For example, it would be bad storytelling if Ellie would have found a dwarf in the middle of the game, a dwarf that would tell her how aliens came to Earth thousands of years before Christ and planned that whole zombie thingy. Now, this is bad storytelling, it would make TLOU universe inconsistent, there was no building to this.

    Now was there really no building to what happens in this game? You kill hundreds of guys, decide that a cure won't be made just so that you keep the person you love by your side and then you really believe that your actions won't cast a raging spirit? Joel's thing wasn't too rushed, it's many years late in the TLOU universe. From the moment he lost his "first" daughter and escaped with life his death was being postponed. Did you cry, did you feel an indescribable rage through that woman? Did you get yourself lost in the game? Did you feel like you couldn't stop playing until all that was solved? If you did, the storytelling is alright.

    People wanted to play TLOU 1 again, a new version of the story of bonding between a parent figure and its child. What they got was the second part of a brute and cruel story.

    I'm giving a 2 because the graphics were generally great and the gameplay was top notch at certain spots. The overarching story just left such a bad taste in my mouth that I can't in good conscious give this much higher. The direction they went just wasn't it as I think many will agree with me.

    I'm all for character diversity and definitely think representation is important but I suspect many will try to defend this game because it "champions" diversity and will try to downplay the fans negative reaction to this game's story direction.    … Expand

New developers and writers simply kill off and re-write characters from the first game and replace them with their own new cast. No love or attention is paid at all to the story of the first game. some of these negative reviews are hateful/homophobic, but I really regret giving them $60 dollars for this, it is worse than I could have imagined.

    Joel acts completely out of character and dies in such an anticlimactic way, then you play as his killer for 8 hours. Even finding out why she did it doesn't help, she's such an obnoxious, poorly written character.     story 1/10 i don't know what were they smoking to even think this was art such a shame, because of this i did not enjoy the game at all the only thing i enjoyed is the flashbacks and that's it.

    A copy and paste game. The mechanics are the same as previous title. Only difference is the location and the characters. Story wise, it is a terrible script.
    Character design, developers shouldn’t let Anita influence the type of design on a character as per example: Abby. Not a good design.
    Also, I pity the animator who have to animate that explicit scene. I wish it was deleted from my memory.

    A worthy sequel to TLOU. Graphics and Gameplay are 100% improved, with a lot of sweet extra abilities, and while the vibe is the same, it doesn't feel like just a re-boot of the older game. Loving Ellie and her supporting cast, the game retains the brutal realistic writing and animation of TLOU. I haven't noticed any gender or identity politics yet (only 12 hours in), so objectively, I canA worthy sequel to TLOU.     Im totally in Love with it. The movement is awesome, the grafics are incredible, the Sound, the characters, also the Storytelling is on top.
    Im a huge Fan from beginnig the Series and the second game is better than the First one. Tought hard Story, im heart broken, but the game is amazing.

    The death of a major character was extremely bad in its execution. For me this game really ruined the legacy of the original. Ellie and Joel were great characters in the original. This game was unsatisfying in so many ways.

    Neil Druckmann had an very uninspired vision for this project. While I think representing diversity was a positive thing in the game's storytelling, I also believe that character development was a failure- which ultimately cheapens the ambitious characters more than if they had just gone with a vanilla action-movie cast. You can be as ambitious with characters as you want, but if you don't build good characters, there is no element of comprehensive story telling.

    It's really not a bad game if you don't mind the awful story.
    If you look at any of the spoilers it WILL assuredly kill any interest you had in wanting to play any further.
    This HAD potential but feels heavily wasted and the main aspect that originally drew you in now feels like a Uwe Boll afterthought shoehorned in. Woof.

I have played the game and I had to say, it is absolutely the worse sequel in the last of us franchise. It's like having a dog you always adore for years and suddenly you lost interest and gave it away to some random folk. That's almost the same feeling as watching Joel die by the hands of an unknown stranger thats not even related to the first story at all.

And the ending itself left me feeling let down as well. I can say the gameplay feels better overall and improved upon, but when a game's driving force is the story and that doesn't live up to expectations and doesn't drive me emotionally like I was hoping. Overall Gameplay was improved and the clickers definitely look amazing same with the world as well, which I can also praise this game on, even with me playing on a PS4 Slim. But overall this game just let me down and I feel let down and hope the series can correct this and create characters I can love and feel connected too again.… Expand
