    Made an account just to post this. What a sick and distasteful way to kill one of the most beloved characters your studio has ever put out. Truly sickening.     Masterful storytelling and gameplay, I personally cried 4 times during the campaign. I truly believe is a game that everyone should (with an open mind) play. Let’s all hope the vicious cycle of hatred stops one day.

The game's story revolves around revenge for Joel's death (And what a stupid and stolen death, Joel deserved a better death); but when it comes time to close the story, and have revenge, they simply put it for us to try to marry Ellie. What the hell is this bow ?!
    But we have a new chance to avenge Joel, and when we're happy to kill Abby, Ellie doesn't finish and let her go unpunished. Even with the character's journey, to find Abby, in the end this journey is simply thrown away. Final is disappointing, and they managed to throw away the whole arc created, by the death - silly and stupid - of Joel.    … Expand

    We can all agree Naughty Dog has great talent. We should also agree it all went to crap in Part 2 of The Last of Us. Easy game play, and something I guess they consider a story? Literally the worst sequel I have ever seen. Good job Naughty Dog.

    The advertising was completely deceptive and misleading and I’m not ok with this (those who have played the game or who are aware of the leaks will understand).
    Strong on a technical level I suppose (if you ignore some cringeworthy dialogue here and there), but what made us love the original game so much was the characters and their heartfelt interactions.

The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is mediocre and repetitive but that’s not why I play these types of games, I play them for story and to have fun. The only time I enjoyed playing was during flashbacks especially Ellie’s birthday which showed what we all loved about the first game the bond between Ellie and Joel. The characters feel like they’ve been stripped of all important character traits that made them who they are in part 1. Ellie the girl who’s killed hundreds without batting an eye starts to feel sympathy for Joel’s killers and lets Abby go in the end. Joel despite surviving for 20 years reveals his name and lets his guard down around a bunch of strangers.… Expand

    It's sad how many people are review bombing this game. There is no possible way thousands of people played a 25+ hour game and beat it within just a few hours of its release, much less played a game this long to its end if they thought it was actually a 0/10.

    I haven't finished it yet but the story is good so far and has the ability to hold you in like good story telling should. I also enjoy they took some risk with beloved characters, you feel so many moments andforget your playing a game instead of watching a film. It's a must play if you like the genre or like a game that immerses you into the environment.

    how you gonna make us go through the entire game hell bent on getting revenge while making some questionable decision along the way. Only to have redemption taken away from us right at the end because ellie realizes at THAT! point that the revenge cycle needs to be broken here. Are you kidding me? Abby got her revenge and then some only to have her be shown mercy by ellie. Ellie loses joel, almost looses dina to slaughter, tommy gets shot in the face, jesse gets shot in the head and dies and then ellie leaves dina and their child, loses 2 fingers and all this is directly done by Abby so why in the flying F** should ellie show mercy? Honestly made so mad and disappointed at the end while the credits rolled. I couldn't believe I did all that just for some meaningless self realization of "revenge not being fulfilling".    … Expand

They kill off Joel at the very beginning of the game and force you to play as a character that you already hate. There aren’t very many good sides to this game besides the graphics and game mechanics plus the small flashbacks where Joel is still alive. Which are over shadowed by the storyline that is brutally forced down your throat. Critics are saying that the game hasn’t even been out for long yet all the cutscenes are on YouTube. I will admit the gameplay looks somewhat fun but I can’t convince myself to buy a single player game that is driven by a horrible story where the player basically has to sit back and watch.… Expand

Naughty Dog has written a Last Jedi and managed to kill a beloved franchise forever.

    Even worse, the technical merits of the game are arguably not as good as the prequel. The pretty environments feel now like soulless Quixel asset flips, and the game animations are thousands upon thousands of motion capture segments weirdly blended together by something which feels more like an AI than any kind of human-made plan. The end result is something which looks amazing in a static frame or a small motion segment, but doesn't feel right or cohesive once you are playing.

    The gameplay has been simplified and dumbed down considerably compared to the predecessor, where it was already thin. Even worse, the changes made are never there to make the game better, but to make the developer's job easier. An example is the addition of tall grass as a stealth mechanic, an unwelcome gaming trope which allows them to get away with much worse level design. Multiple issues which were present previously but were unimportant due to the nature of the prequel (inconsistent control response, shooting issues, out-of-control secondary animations getting in the way of your stealth, poor enemy AI, and more), now return but are way more prevalent since the game is way longer, has worse pacing, and the writing is no longer able to carry the weight of the game. It's just a lazy job after lazy job. At the end of the day, this game was not made as something intended to be played, but to be watched. And, since you have zero agency and zero choices during the game, I'd say the optimal platform to play the game is YouTube and not PlayStation.

    The entire game feels like it was made by factory robots, except for the story bits, which seems to be written by an Internet troll instead. It deserves a 0 not only because that's how it will make you feel after trying it for a while, but because this is an extremely dangerous trend which can end up destroying the entire AAA gamespace. Do not listen to the dozens upon dozens of 10/10 'professional' reviews which talk nothing about the game's blatant faults and are nothing more than glorified press releases.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The signature writing that made The Last of Us well known is no where to be found. Choosing to deconstruct the story of the original for the sake of shock value, you can tell what Naughty Dog was aiming for, but missed by a mile. As the characters from the first game make one uncharacteristic decision after another (that usually ends in their demise) the game rushes in a slew of new characters that the story gives the player no motivation to care about. The pacing feels so bad that it often comes off as comedically derivative. Even the final scene of the game, which is intended to be dramatic, plays off as an episode ending puncline from Curb Your Enthusiasm (I half expected the theme to play as it cut to credits.) The gameplay is slightly improved from the first, but if you didn't love it in the original, you're going to spend the last 10 hours of the game begging for it to end.
    The only positive things I really have to say is that the environments and level designs are very pretty and flow well overall.    … Expand

Aside from a few token African Americans, the game seriously lacked any diversity. Niel Druckman and Naughty Dog made a masterpiece America needs right now.     This game is like an open wound that just wont seal up because the player is forced to unnaturally shove all sorts of objects in said wound in hopes that the bloody hole will magically repurpose itself into something that will never physically be possible. It's awful, wrong, embarrassing and frankly, disgusting.

The Premise is simple,Revenge does not end, it's an endless cycle of meaningless conflict in the end;the execution of said premise in The Last of Us 2 is an extremely lacking narrative that makes the player feel like they have wasted their time.
    Characters seem to meander throughout without ever having an epiphany or enlightened moment,the payoff is not something extravagant but something as mundane as letting things go.which in it's own regard is excellent but the entire journey undertaken in this game becomes pointless if there was no ultimate payoff.     Having enjoyed the first game to the point I would call myself a fan, I had high hopes for this sequel. I am happy with what I have played so far and feel that it is a leap in every regard from the first game and look forward to the conclusion.

They should’ve never made a sequel if they were going to literally slap all of their fans straight into the face with that plot, if you loved the first game I recommend not playing this one as it will ruined your great memories you have on the first game. Very disappointed at what was delivered!

She carries with her a lot of pain in this version of the game thus the emotional detachment from killing. The sound is pretty amazing bringing back the classic and still creepy clickers.     If you close your eyes on logical inconsistences and part 1, this game can really surprise you from hate to real feelings and empathy. BUT this is valid if you drop the ending entirely and stop playing nearly at 80% of the game, after Elly and Abby meeting in theatre. The other part is just so dumb and trash, that I have no words to describe it

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'll give it to Naughty Dog on one thing- the graphics and sound design are something amazing for the time. But that is the best part of this game.
    It is genuinely one of the biggest letdowns I have ever seen. The gameplay hasn't been massively improved upon from any other Naughty Dog game. The most monumental thing they added was the ability to crawl. This in and of itself is a letdown to me, but what really got me was the story.
    This game has genuinely some of the worst writing I have ever seen. The dialogue is so unrealistic and forced, and the way the story is paced is terrible. The game is needlessly trying to be dark, to the point that it's overdone and everything that happens ends up being completely unimpactful in the end. Everything we loved about the first game is completely gone. The realistic and enjoyable dialogue between characters? Gone. The evolution of Joel and Ellie's relationship throughout the first game is completely thrown away with this game. We are taught to feel bad for the person who killed Joel, but we aren't given enough time to even consider sympathizing with Abby for what she did.
    We got a whole game with Joel, where we learned to love him, for his flaws, and for what he was great at. How can you expect us to be ok with playing as the character that murdered Joel when you only really give us a short sequence to understand her motive?
    Not to mention, the said motive is so unbelievably forced. Sure, it shows consequences for Joel's actions of the first game, but we already got that in this game with Ellie's discovery of what truly happened at the end of TLOU1.
    With that relationship gone, you'd imagine this game would at least try to add something to it that can fix this gap. But no. All the previous and even new characters in this game just feel empty. Joel's death was unbelievably rushed. Joel from TLOU1 would not be stupid enough to walk into this trap. They remind me of robots. I didn't feel bad when anyone died (other than Joel), except for maybe- and this is a big maybe- Jesse. That was it. It was completely inconsequential that any of them died in the first place because none of them had a major impact on the story to begin with.
    Ellie's guilt and remorse after killing any main character also made no sense. Why not feel bad when you murder any other innocent people? Do they only count as lives when they show up in cutscenes? And even then, why go through the effort of killing all of them just to have your goal in your hands and let it go?
    I guess this was their attempt at a curveball of sorts, like they did with the ending of the first game, except it just doesn't work in this situation. The game got predictable after a while. But this was not the right move to add a sense of unpredictability. This was just terrible.
    The predictability of this story was not redeemable by character growth like the first one was. This game was just lackluster in every way possible when it came to the story. The only redeemable qualities are the gameplay and sound design. They took everything good from the first game, threw it in the trash, caught it on fire, spit on it, and threw it in a grave.

    Excelente juego, madre mía es un juegazo pero como todos tiene sus detalles. Maneja el HUD de 2013 del primero y varios sistemas reciclados pero tiene lógica ya que es la secuela.
