    I think what is more disgusting is all the paid for reviews by naughty dog to all these companies calling it the best game ever and we need to actually lean on the audience and youtubers etc to provide us an actual real opinion of this game. The game looks great, graphics are solid, but to me that is the bare minimum these days.     Do not buy and get disappointed. It doesn't live up to it's predecessor. It seems like they tried to milk the success of the first version with a nonsense story, the mechanics are buggy, it doesn't live up to it's predecessor in terms of engagement, if you are a fan of The Last Of US, skip this version, it's better to remember it as the first version only than to witness the mess that isDo not buy and get disappointed.     Another game that tries to push political agenda. Just like Battlefield 5 did. In the name of political correctness the game feels surreal and forced. In this game 80% of characters are woman just to show that woman are strong. All the man are idiots on this game. This is forced, its not feminism, it’s fantasy.     This game is nothing short of a masterpiece. It IS one of the greatest games of all time. The acting is award worthy. The grapics are almost too realistic. Ive played many games and have never seen graphics look THIS GOOD. The gameplay is greatly improved from the first game.     It seems to me that this chapter serves to derail all the progress made in the first story. Playing this through is extremely unsatisfying and disheartening. I wouldn't recommend lovers of the first TLOU to play this because it extremely harsh to previously loved characters. Это делает их историю в предыдущих играх абсолютно бессмысленной, это обнуляет и уничтожает абсолютно всю связь, которая могла образоваться между игроком и персонажем. Дракман возомнил себя Джорджем Мартином, а на деле просто жидко пёрнул в штаны и снял последний сезон Игры Престолов.

    И да, для свидетелей отсутствующей повесточки: в игре её просто дохуя. Начиная от всей этой лесбийской темы, БИГОТА (сука, современные левацкие термины в постапоке, бля, неужели кто-то действительно думает, что люди, использующие такие термины, смогут прожить хотя бы несколько месяцев в мире глобальной катастрофы?), женщин на всех главных ролях, ну и заканчивая, собственно, геймплеем. Да-да, гномиха-Элли вырезает сотни вооружённых людей. Крайне достоверно.

    Ну и на последок, какой же Дракман всё же поехавший клоун. Ведь он действительно наверняка специально подходил к программистам с просьбой ЗАПРЕТИТЬ игрокам стрелять в еврейскую библию.

    A fantastic game with fantastic level to details, amazing graphics, animations, very interesting story and very realistic combat. A masterpiece. I hope all those haters who haven't even played the game (PC fanboys), will choke on their hate.

    DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CRITICS REVIEWS. They are pointless. In the first 2 hours of the game, Naughty Dog managed to ruin what was once an amazing franchise/storyline. The character development was just so freaking weak. The disappointment was just beyond what my brain can comprehend. Next, because they decided to kill off Joel (whoever wrote the storyline needs to be fired ASAP) is just mind-boggling. Fans did not wait like what 7? 8? years for such a poorly written storyline to be presented to use. It truly felt like such a slap to the face. I tried so hard to push through and finish the game (I did) but the disappointment was just... The ONLY positive thing I have to say about this whole game was the graphics. That's it... The Last of Us was the type of game focus on the storyline. That's what made fans fall in love with the game in the first place. The storyline and character development. It is so sad that so many nasty reviews have been written for this game because it truly had so much potential. overall I am just so mad at Naughty Dog for presenting such a **** game to fans and making us wait so long to be able to play it only to charge an arm and a leg for a piece of poop of game.     It is a spectacular game, impresses in technical matters and script.
    As for the sound, it is the strongest point of the game for me, all the sound elements are very well placed and mixed.

    A magnificent work by Naughty Dog.

    Graphics at 710, standard 2020. The gameplay does not bring anything new. Don't expect a paradise of feelings like in the first part. It's an ordinary game, normally made, with an ordinary story. It's not exciting.

    They probably decided to do the second part just for SJW and LGBT. If they hadn’t lied in their videos, there would have been 5 points

The production team seems to have organized the contents to experience various people's stories, but that's enough to experience in debates and papers. There is also a lack of respect for the former character, and a lack of respect for the users who played it. Why should we learn something while playing games? Aren't we learning enough in our lives? It had every element a narrative driven experience is expected to while also mantaining a somewhat entertaining gameplay. Charismatic yet flawed very close to human characters? An atmosphere that invites to immersion and a plot on par with great Hollywood productions.

    Sadly the last of us part 2 lacks in every aspect aforementioned. The intelligent almost human narrative has turned into a cartoonish almost revenge simple plot that even at that fails to deliver.

    Naughty dog decided to exchange clever story twists and down to earth dialogues for mere shock value and cheap generic bits.

    The gameplay is good but it doesn't innovate while some mechanic's are welcome and work in paper, reality is they don't or fail to execute entirely like the "jump" or executions.

    Sound is perhaps a good point fpr the game. However none of that is as impactful as the story in which a narrative driven game should exceed. This makes ellie's journey less impactful, because even though Joel's dead was but a cheap devices to justify this all, ellie fails to fulfill it.

    4/10 in my opinion. I didn't enjoy this game as the first one.    … Expand

    This game is visually appealing and the gameplay is very similar to The Last of Us 1, one of the best video games of the past 10 years. So this should be good, right? Unfortunately, it's not due to the horrible story of this game, throwing away the magic of the first game in favor of some shock and awe approach that never ends up paying off. Save yourself $60 and don't buy this game.

Admittedly I'm only about 5 hours in and I'm working from home if that tells you anything - I gots the time to put in and I've barely grazed the surface. I mean are all these people just like "F$*% it" and staying up to play for 30 hours straight ignoring the rest of their lives? I don't think so...

    The story-line *5 hours-in* is emotionally charged, the characters are ok - not mind-blowing but also not worthy of a zero... The very first thing that caught my attention is the graphics. Now I'm a PC gamer and I originally only bought the PS4 for Bloodborne. I've come to appreciate the PS4 as it's opened me up a whole new category of PS4 exclusives which are mostly top tier quality games. Within the first 20 minutes I got used to the 24fps @ 4K on the PS4 (down from 144fps @4K on my monster PC) and in all honesty I was pretty blown away... (•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)

    I think the problem of the blatant review bombing stems from within two areas... 1) there have been some leaks and some of these story-based leaks have been extremely unpopular with hardcore fans and 2) The use of LGBT characters is seen by many in gaming culture as a sneaky way of forcing a political agenda onto the audience. This kind of thing definitely happens and it can ruin a game if it's over the top, but IMHO it's NOT the case here. Before even giving the game a chance many stubborn fans are screaming "SJW! SJW!". For myself, I appreciate diversity in both life and in games. I love seeing/hearing a story from someone who doesn't make similar lifestyle decisions as I do or maybe belongs to a subculture that I don't have much knowledge of. It's eye opening and by having some diversity in games it only helps the community. I do admit that I don't like political agendas shoved down my throat either but that is NOT what is happening here. She just happens to be gay, that's it, end of story - get over it. I honestly think that by continuously bringing this up it only makes the gaming community look like we're bigoted/closed-minded and I know that many of us are not.

    As I stated, I'm only about 5 hours in and I've been trying not to catch any spoilers... I will come back and write an HONEST review once I have finished the game but for now at least, take user reviews with a grain of salt.    … Expand

I decided to finish The Last of Us on hard tonight to sit with a fresh revival of the story before I began the second part, I was left with the bitter-SWEET ending we’ve all grown to adore and love, and started the second with a bit of a bitter and more dark recounting of the ending (with Joel telling Tommy how they reached Jackson I’m assuming not long after the end of the first game) and leaving us with more guilt and doubt regarding the actions of Joel’s decision to rescue Ellie. This is by far the best writing and storytelling you’re gonna get out of the game. The epilogue lmao. Gameplay is fun and the hordes and human enemies are fun to fight. That’s about it, it’s quite depressing but ThAtS tHe pOinT. No sweetness in this one. None at all.… Expand

    I regret buying this so much, this is the perfect recipe on how to make gay characters hateable, we all played ME3 and DA:I and had gay characters, there was no problem, but you force this, you make a loved character become hateable, make us do regrettable things then berate us for it and dont get me started on the massive disparity between votes, 95 critic score? are you insane?

Triple-A graphics, acting and world design coupled with fair gameplay can only carry a game so far, particularly when it is the sequel to one of the most acclaimed story-driven games of all time. Favourite characters are reduced to one-dimensional hatred driven messes. Most newly introduced characters are equally if not more despised. The story is generic, full of nonsensical character decisions and so steeped in an atmosphere of cruelty and despair that it detracts from any enjoyment you may otherwise experience from the better aspects of the game. Just completed the Last of Us Part 2, and I have got to say that this is the single most disappointing sequel to a video game that I can remember. After over 5 years of development gameplay has not changed apart from the ability to go prone and jump, which are fundamental mechanics you would think would’ve been in the game from the first installment. The game moves incredibly slow and contains little to no character development. Pair these with the horrible plot and terrible agenda that shaped the game’s story into the piece of garbage that it was, and this will surely to be looked back at as one of the most underwhelming releases in video game history.… Expand

    I do not recommend buying this pile of trash unless you enjoy a terribly written, depressing game that tries to preach some cliche message about revenge in a not-very-clever way. If you ONLY like a game because of it having representation of all types of people, then you'll love it. Beyond angry that I spent money on it. Hopefully I can still return it.

    I think The Last of Us Part 2 is the best game of this generation. Buttloads of cutscene and uninspired gameplay makes the game essentially a movie with filler gameplay contents. I might sound like I'm criticising the game but in reality the opposite is true.     Neil is definitely the one, but may be not the only one, to be blamed. He ruined the game. We clearly sense that he does not like the characters he created at all. He does not treat Joel and Ellie as his children, but just tools that he can use to spread and teach us his own values. We gamers love Joel and Ellie, Neil does not. This is also a lesson for all directors. We pay $60 to buy your game, we want to have fun, we want to enjoy a story. We are not paying our hard earned money to be taught by your own values. If you want to teach us what to do, say that on your own blog/twitter/YouTube channel, do not use a game that is created by and the cumulative result of hundreds of hard working and under payed people.

    Those “complaints” are the epitome of “I didn’t get what I wanted.” And that is fine. It sucks to be disappointed.

    But that does not make something “bad.” This game is simply fantastic. The world-design is beautiful and the environments are detailed and varied. The voice acting is alarmingly naturalistic and the writing is realistic and relatable. The story is compelling and the characters are incredibly engaging. During combat, the enemies respond to your choices organically and realistically.

    This is a game that Naughty Dog put a LOT of effort into. And I’m sorry it you “didn’t get what you wanted.” But.

    Incredible game by an incredible team. Naughty Dog once again delivers a captivating tale that is both brutal yet emotional. While the story is understandably controversial, there is no denying that the gameplay and graphics are gripping and brutal, making a satisfying playthrough regardless of what you think of the story.

    He died the way someone would die in a world without laws and where food is scarce and revenge abounds.
    he died horribly just as the innocent people he killed died.
    and in the end I don't kill abby because if I did I would never be at peace. the circle would restart and the children and the people who loved abby would take revenge and it would never end, ellie was tired and she let herself go with the anger.    … Expand
