The game can best be summarized as "misery porn" with graphics so realistic it will give you ptsd. The level of violence in the game is similar to a IRL snuff film. There is also an extremely graphic sex scene that made me want to gouge my eyes out. Neil Druckmann thinks hes Hideo Kojima when hes really just a washed up loser. Amy Henning was the real genius at Naughty Dog. I question if I will ever buy a Naughty Dog game ever again. Please, please do not buy this game. Lets let Naughty Dog know with our wallets we didn't want this and don't want this ever again. The fact that all the gaming press gave it a 10/10 is a joke.… Expand

    Ładnie posmarowali, 95% na 100.

    Jedym słowem GOWNO, po jedynce byłem znudzony ale po 2 części dobrze zrobiłem, ze nie kupiłem i nie kupie. Obejrzałem na youtubie gameplay i nie powiem grafika jest mega za co propsy, ale w tych czasach grac dla gry bez wątku fabuly i biegania po mapie 20minut i szukania jakiegos szajsu bez strzelania to jest kpina, a i jeszcze cos... Parada LGBT w    Ładnie posmarowali, 95% na 100.

    I dont know why there was so much hate for the Best game of the last 5 years at least and probably the last Best game of ps4. I cant believe how racist is the majority of gamers. It is so wrong to condemn such a game from the sexual orientation of Ellie. What i see is a masterpice. Combat graphics and story are all amazing

    Impecable a nivel técnico y jugable, divertido y adictivo. Las nuevas mecánicas de esquiva y verticalidad en los escenarios aportan lo que se espera de una nueva iteración.

    The Last of Us is one of my absolute favourite games and this continuation is just as beautiful and emotional as the first game. Such stunning scenery, beautiful characters and amazing voice acting. Well worth the wait.

He did deserve a honorable death but that's not reality there are alot of good people that are murdered that didn't deserve it but that's life. So I dont understand why everyone is so angry bad things happen to good people not playing cause what you are reading. Do yourself a favor and play it for yourself and don't miss out on a great game.I don't want to spoil the game for anyone but the characters that you love are still in the game… Expand

    Thing is: in most aspects, story aside, TLOU2 is a good to very good experience. But the story feels forced, unrealistic und uses violence as a self defining excuse to fill in logic gaps.
    I didn't spoiler myself before and i don't mind characters gender or sexual orientation (Horizon Zero Dawn was excellent). But i do mind poor character desogn and unsatisfying story decisions.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So I have to be very honest here with this game. I was waiting for 5 years by now, its 5 years since I played remastered for the first time. And it literally gave me a reason to live. I love The Last of Us.
    And just mentioning the lesbian thing. I think Naughty Dog made the best decision on making Ellie lesbian, you know why? She grew up in a world with violence and she never really had those girl prejudices to grow up with, so it just makes sense and is very authentic if she is lesbian and, lets say, "more like a boy". First I thought Naughty Dog is doing that just for the LGBTQ Community and that would be just bad to do JUST for that. But it is actually soo authentic and well done, I love it.

    So i played it for 3-4 hours, and I am overwhelmed by the grafic and the game mechanics, even though the mechanics are quite similar to Part 1 until now, its good they kept many things from part I.
    How the hell could you guys let Joel die....??
    I cried a river, even though I hate you for doing that, I have still hope it isnt true or something. But it was sooo realistic and authentic, and Ashley Johnson did so so well oh my god... I cried a lot.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My heart is broken. I played the first game when I was 13, and it became a very special game to me. I remember when they announced they would be making a second one, and I was so excited. And now, after the long wait, the game is finally here, except it’s so disappointing. I was so excited to play this game, a story of revenge, but naughty dog for whatever reason didn’t want to go all the way and wimped out on the revenge tale so it was never quite whole. Add in the unexplainable hours of gameplay where you are forced to play as the vapid and empty antagonist all while naughty dog attempts to make some forced redemption for her and for what? I honestly don’t know why they did this, it was such a waste. If they cut out all the parts where you play as Abby and actually tried to developer there characters a little further maybe the game wouldn’t have been such a big flop. I cried so much during this game, only once was because of the actual gameplay, all the other times was because I I realized I wasted years of my life getting so excited for a game only for it to completely bomb. My main issues with this game are as follows:
    -The way the killed off Joel
    -The way they made Tommy’s character, especially after Jessie dies
    -All the Abby “filler”
    -Ellie’s ability to kill hundreds of people to get to who she wants only to back down at the last second
    -the lack of character development Some things I did like in this game:
    -The beautiful graphics
    -The seamless transitions between cinematic and gameplay
    -The first three days in Seattle as Ellie (wish they had made the whole game more like this and fleshed it out)

    In conclusion, naughty dog, please just except this was a fail. And what I think you should do is just throw the whole thing away, pretend it never happened, and try again. Please.    … Expand

    Overall 3-4/10.
    Let's not forget about abusing copyright law, censorship and quite possibly paid-fake reviews.

I enjoy many games that all my friends hated. But, in a game like this Story is EVERYTHING. I kept waiting for the story to emotionally grip me. I kept waiting for the big pay off. I was gravely disappointed. More than anything it chewed me up and spit me out. The graphics, voice acting and the setting were the only highlights for me. Gameplay was similar to the first game. Nothing horrible or revolutionary. I genuinely cannot understand all the 9 or 10 ratings. Mediocre game with a very disappointing story. Especially for a HUGE fan of the first game.… Expand

    Too Violent. Poor pacing, terrible story. Gameplay needs smoothing out. Been waiting so long for this game, can't believe how bad the final product is. I think things just went bad in the pre-production stage. The first game was violent but this pushes it beyond my acceptable taste threshold. The characters are just not as likeable and their motivations not as strong or compelling as the original.

    These types of games only come out once in 7-10 years. The tiniest details encompasses infinite hours developers and story tellers took to create this game. It is not a masterpiece. But it’s a strong emotional story followed my mind blowing graphics and ideas of pain, revenge and tears. The politics in this game were balanced. I did not see forced relationships and concepts.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. play 25 hours of a simplistic revenge plot with outdated gameplay only to get your fingers bitten off and not take revenge on the person you wanted to take it on by your own choosing. Also, none of the new relationships matter or last, but the relationship people loved (Joel and Ellie) is killed off within the first ~ 2 hours. He and Ellie also do not act like they did, they just got dumber and make all the mistakes they taught 'to us' not to make in those cases. And the only thing driving the plot forward is bad and illogical decision making. You're also supposed to like the villain who kills Joel because it is a transgender. That's all there is to it. the character has no redeeming features whatsoever, it is a jerk through and through. The visuals are stunning though, the OST is pretty damn good, but the gameplay is virtually the same as that from a 7 year old game and the story reads like fanfiction by a transgender teen. Which I don't mind them writing, and I don't mind them being happy with their identity, but it doesn't magically make a crappy story a good one.

    You can think of it like this: If Abby was a straight man named Adam, the story would be just as dumb. The creators of the game can pretend this is about hatred of some minority groups or whatever, but it's not. They delivered a narrative mess full of plot holes, conveniently stupid characters to allow that plot and the gameplay is just so outdated. The mechanics and the AI should not be this bad in 2020.    … Expand

    last of us remastered story was a happy ending, naughtydog didn't have to ruin the whole story in part 2. naughty dog should have work in another single player story based sequel. would be great if they did that most of the fans of lou is disappointed due to the ending.
