The second part even better than the first, for instance, there's more than 30+ hours of gameplay, that's spectacular, really impressive! What the hell do you want??? Gameplay hasn`t changed from the first game. Did they expect us to play the same gameplay for 25 hours? it gets really boring. The story is terrible. the first 8 hours was interesting, but after that i just wanted it to finish soon. The story doesnt make sense at all. She went all this way to just let her go?     Not worth the money or time terrible story telling with mediocre gameplay that really doesn't offer anymore than the first one, relys on shock factor and kills the most beloved character in the game at the start to build up another boring hollow character. Save ur money it is as bad as we say

This is the main reason why I give it this score, I was manipulated by being told by the developers that this game would be something that it is not. Here is the complete list of reasons why I gave it a score of 0:

    -> The game not being what ND marketed it as
    -> The story seems like a rushed out draft at best, not even making sense on some occasion
    -> There are many plot holes in the story
    -> Turning the characters we've become attached to in TLOU 1 into idiots
    -> The explicit intimate scenes (I don't want to watch sex while playing games, this was absolutely unnecessary)
    -> Unnecessary d r u g s use scenes
    -> The important amount of unnecessary swearing between Dina and Ellie (which takes Ellie's innocence away and make her lot less likable)
    -> The intense kissing scenes between Ellie and Dina (A game is not the place for that. And I would make the same argument if it was a man and a woman kissing, I just don't want to see that kind of stuff when I'm playing a game)
    -> The SJW Agenda

    I was so hyped for this game. For 7 years now I've been dreaming about the day this game would come out, I was so hyped and excited for it. ND and Neil Druckman have crushed this hype, and it seem to have been their objective all along, making us hate this game, hate this franchise and hate this company. Well done.

    Oh My God, despite of all the leaks I ignored. The game really disappointed me. I just finished it minutes ago.

    Good things: 0) Joel's character is continued perfectly although his role is small but atleast they didn't ruin his personality. 1)Dialogue writing is one of the best I have ever seen in gaming.(voiceover is also fantastic) 2) Graphics and visuals are stunning and best of this    Oh My God, despite of all the leaks I ignored.     The game is very streched out. The story is hilarious, non-logical and non-realistic. Characters are well developed at the beginning and well destroyed at the end . There decisions don't match their development. And also that hilarious sex scene. Abby is infact very confusing character. Owen is the most poorly written character in the gaming history. After you play ellie once. Abby's campaign feel completely streched and boring. Even if you ignore story. The game still sucks and fells repetitive(like a deja-vu) and boring.

You as the Player are literally Held down and Beaten/Tortured, and you get NOTHING in the way of Revenge. they Raked the first games name over the coals for THIS!? If i could meet the "Director" of this game in Person id do to him what "Abby" did to Joel. If Ghost of Tsushima isn't FANTASTIC, the PS4 (And 5) are in deep trouble.

    Love this game. Granted it may some submit matter in nature not everybody will agree with but who th hell cares. From sound design to graphics to environment to voice acting SUPERB. I see a lot of whiny people review bombing but that is expected of intolerant people. Buy this game is you even touched the 1st period...

Boring disjointed game sections. Clunky game play with brain dead ai. And the icing on the cake for me was the new boring characters.

    The characters from the last game are unrecognizable. The new characters are not likable on any level. That on itself could be excused if the plot was worthwile which it unfortunately is not. It's like the #1 priority was to write something unexpected. I am dismayed that this was made by the same studio that made TloU1 and the Uncharted series. 3 points for the graphics and servicable gameplay.

Here's the gameplay in a nutshell: ride on your horse, kill 3 enemies, cutscene, walk through empty city, kill 6 enemies, stealth kill 3 clickers using Xray vision, repeat in some order.There are no set pieces or awesome moments like the first game had. And for the love of god this has to be the biggest slap in your face of an ending. What was the point of the redemption arc if she just let's her live.     Yep, graphic and setting of world is good 8/10. But the game is gaddy. They have been droved everything in a narrative part. Naughty Dog wanted to show the story from different angles, but got a very chaotic and unrealistic scenario, that has little to do with realistic behavior.

I was highly looking forward to this game till I heard about the leaks and how bad they were, naturally for fear of my money being wasted I looked into them. The amount of **** they put into this story is **** atrocious. The only reason I'm not giving it a 0 is because it's good to be back in the world of the last of us with it's fun gamplay style. Even with the devs not knowing what to **** do and forcing their political ideology down our throats. It's a mistake of a **** game, and I will pay you to not buy it and to boycott naughty dog to send a message that this is not what we wanted. Now on this one, technically speaking, this game looks awesome, but TLOS was never about the graphic details and was always about the story. I understand that ND tried to portrait the neverending cycle of violence when someone pushes that violence on others (Joel and Ellie on many NPCs on the first game). But you (ND) have to understand that it was inevitable that I, as a gamer created bonds with these characters. You simply cannot get to kill Joel on TLOU2 with all that gore and get away with that. Also, it was totally unnecessary the push of a social agenda thru all of this. I'm deeply disappointed.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I felt gross after playing this. I felt like i read someones private journal with their Last of Us fan-fiction. The Last of Us Part 2 is committed to misery above all else and even then seems to struggle to do that well. What I mean when I say that is that all attempts to create empathy with the new cast fall short because they consistently act boneheadedly and cruelly. And so in the chase of subverting expectations there is deliberate torture of preexisting characters from The Last of Us Part 1 that I cared about *because of the writing from Last of Us 1* and not from the writing of its sequel.

    The clashing tones and actions were overwhelming to me to the point that, at the end, I genuinely felt as though the story were somewhat schizophrenic. Characters kill hundreds in the pursuit of revenge and then are stopped at the apex by a 2-second flashback that serves only to prod the player with a hamfisted "but isn't killing bad?" jab to the side.

    They lowballed it with the themes and went overtly edgy and miserable in tone. Where TLOU1 had a small moment of sunlight and petting a giraffe before the suffocating darkness of the final sections, TLOU2 would instead kill the giraffe and maim its children before zooming in the camera and flashing "Isn't animal abuse awful?" in size-80 impact font. The Last of Us 2 thinks itself so much more poignant and hard-hitting than it actually is and in taking itself so hyper-seriously sets itself up to be a punchline when the weak writing rears its ugly head.

    The gameplay is ok. Kudos to the animation team and my deepest condolences because I can't imagine they made it through this game without heavy losses. The movement and combat animations look great, but at its core the gameplay of TLOU2 isn't quite iterative enough of the firsts to wow me. With a 7 year gap between releases I expected TLOU2 to play less like its predecessor from 2013.

    It's ok for a game to make you feel bad. I just wish the story actually worked for it. There are too many character concessions that set up unbelievable situations in which to torture and kill the characters you like. Had every character acted as carelessly as they do in TLOU2 then the first would have ended during the intro.

    The final shot of this game comes as close to outright saying "they truly are the last of us" as you could possibly write without having a character say it in dialogue. In the end I just feel silly for having been excited for it in the first place.    … Expand

    The story is good ,not what I expected but it is not something that I hate or dislike I can live with it, they made the story close to real life and what would happen in a real world and it will give you the feel of sadness and hate both wich is opposite of the first game,in general it is a very good game.

    Beautiful game, even more beautiful visuals. Incredible, the best thing about the game no doubt. The gameplay is more of the same but a little improved. I like the new touches in combat, not so easy to dodge like in every other game, better use of bottles and the blade etc.

    This game is incredible. The game is challenging and so we'll written and acted. I appreciate the more realistic portraits of these characters and I hope future games follow suit.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The overall quality of the graphics, animations and etc is very well done, unfortunately the game suffers because of the terrible writing. Making Ellie kill hundreds of soldiers just to find and kill Abby but in the end she doesn't even kill her because revenge is bad? After killing hundreds of soldiers she suddenly has a change of heart in the midst of drowning Abby. Another thing that I hate is the fact that Joel's death is disrespectful to his character, in part 1 he was careful and typically doesn't trust strangers. The reason the first game was REALLY good story wise is because of the Joel-Ellie dynamic, this game just throws away the relationship that they have built up, it is most prominent on that scene where Ellie gets mad at Joel for defending her. The writer tried his best to force Abby down our throats, but fails to do so. One more thing I find annoying is Lev, he/she just feels forgettable and annoying.… Expand

    I preordered the game, I wanted to give it a chance because I love Naugthy Dog, and they were one of the few game-developers left that I still believed in and trusted. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
