    Action game means I expect to play it not to see every minute a cut scene. ..otherwise I played a movie not a videogame.
    Completely displeased and at the same time angry of what ND done this time.

    Jak wszyscy to i ja uważam że uśmierceni głównego bohatera poprzedniej części dla efektu szoku jest tak durne że szkoda gadać czekałem na tą grę 5 lat i dostałem produkt który jak dla mnie nie spełnia wymagań . nie polecam pograjcie w Red Dead Redemtion 2 jeśli chcecie poznać dobrą fabułę :)

    The story of last of us 1, was what made the game great. They have improved a lot with this game. Combat, visuals, graphics, and atmosphere are all improved, so if you liked last of us 1 for its combat and atmosphere, you will enjoy this game quite a lot. This however doesn't make sense and there is no time in the story where I could feel with characters. Furthermore, the superstrong new female character Abby feels forced, her writing is nonsensical. And to be fair, I was looking forward to playing her, as I've always liked strong women, however, when her writing is **** and she is a psychopath I'd rather not play. The game forces you to hurt women, even hurting pregnant women. Even if this game was free, I would not recommend and hope people such as myself, who got lied to by the marketing get their money back because this is garbage.… Expand

    A brilliant game, I love that the gameplay feel is exactly that of part 1, part 1 was amazing and keeping the gameplay feel exactly the same is what I love!

    The graphics are beyond amazing and the open world areas are to die for, just beautiful. The updated enemies are phenomenal and feel so much more terrifying compared to part 1. The storytelling is fantastic!     The rating is for the visuals, sounds and the gameplay. The first one was one of my all time favourite game. I expected the story to be so much better after the first one.

    The game is roughly divided in 4 parts, intro, Ellie, Abby, ending. In the intro and ending the 2 characters take turns in part of the story, but most of it is Ellie. In between you have a big chunk of gameplay as one character divided into 3 days each.

    When I got about halfway into the story and the timeline reset to day 1 and the perspective changed to Abby, I got a sinking feeling. Which became worse when I opened the menu and saw the skill trees and craftables. I realised I would be playing as Abby for the next big chunk of the story.

    I had no positive connection with her or any of her friends other than the intro in which she killed Joel. She killed off one of the important characters of the first game and now I had to play as this character without any further context (which does come some chapters later through a flashback). Though it was fairly predictable and I didn't care for it.

    If that wasn't bad enough, this game's characters seems to be written around a social politics checklist.
    - Gay people, check
    - People of colour, check
    - Transgender people, check
    - Manly women, check
    - Kill off almost all of the men, check

    It's fine to have these in a story, but not as a characters main defining feature. Most of the characters are bland and have barely any development throughout the game.

    Ellie's flashbacks showed glimpses of what the game should have been.

    While I could relate so much with the first game, I felt nothing in this game's big "emotional" events. I didn't care much when any of the characters died and the ending was very dissatisfying.    … Expand

    So disappointed, not even much of a game. The first one was a masterpiece, this one isn't worth the money. And it's not because of certain characters, which seems to be everyone's go to for why this game is getting bad reviews. Nope, it's because this game is a poorly written movie.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What can be said that already hasn't been said? The leaks definitely changed my mindset going into this game, which is unfortunate. I tried to avoid them like the plague, but some still got through.

    Let's get out this out of the way. The game on a technical level is beyond anything being done by any Dev out there. It is truly amazing that a PS4 is pushing out these visuals and the sound design is just amazing. On a technical level, my god this game deserves a 20 out of 10! Sadly, graphics aren't the only factor when playing a game.

    The story needs to be the glue that holds the entire game together to give you the drive to continue playing and this is where the game falls apart. I couldn't care less about Abby. This has nothing to do with her sexual orientation and everything to do with "WHO IS SHE?" Sure we get a little tiny glimpse into why she hates Joel, but comes on. I waited 7 years to play a sequel to my favorite game and the lead character gets killed within the first hour of the game.

    Ok, great, we are going to get a classic revenge story and with Naughty Dog twists, right? Wrong! We now go on an adventure that is way too long for its own good! The game is painfully too long and you start blowing through areas and skipping exploring because you just want it to be over. You don't even know why you are playing. Switching to play as Abby makes me dislike the character even more and then keep forcing you to play as her. I get it from their perspective and story telling and they were really trying to break the mold here, but it falls flat and there NEVER a pay off. Meaning, we are playing for nothing. You play a 30 hour game for nothing, basically.

    So basically we all waited 7 years for the most highly anticipated game of the generation and from the jump you have expectations smashed, forced to sit through a VERY long game not caring about half of it because we have no reason to care about Abby or her cause. We don't get the pay off we desperately wanted for Joel's death and it just comes off as lazy, forced writing to make a sequel. This game didn't need to be made from a story perspective, but Sony and Naughty Dog couldn't pass up this pay day.

    In the end, I came away so disappointed and this now has me questioning Naughty Dog games in the future. I get they wanted to have that GOT's moment, that Walking Dead "OMG" shock, but they didn't pull it off here at all. They gave me no reason to replay this game due to the length and again due to the fact that literally half the game does not need to be played, forces you to breeze through sections. Maybe that is the reaction Naughty Dog wanted all of us to feel, disappointment? Maybe they wanted to be different and tell us revenge is bad? Who knows, but the story is literally one of the worst and is such a drastic almost unsettling polar opposite of what made the original Game of the Generation.    … Expand

    Gameplay:
    Same as the first, barely any noticeable improvements.

    Visuals:
    Looks good, but so do most modern Tripple A titles.

    Sound:
    Soundtrack could be powerful and emotional, but the story is so hollow and vapid that nothing hits.

    Characters:
    Utter garbanzo beans. Ellie has become a spiteful, cynical brat who becomes boring as hell when she isn't cursing her mouth off. She has no chemistry with any follower, not even her supposed love interest Dina. The flashback to the Museum with Joel was especially insulting, as we are explicitly reminded of how great their (Joel and Ellie) chemistry was. Abby is a disgusting homunculus of a woman, just as angry and vengeful as Ellie, except without a prior game of experience and character building to justify ever supporting her.

    Story:
    Trash. Stereotypical revenge plot that hinges entirely on the coincidence of Joel telling some stranger his name. In such a dog-eat-dog world, AND ESPECIALLY considering his actions in the last game, Joel should have a damn lock on his lips. But no, he just blurts it out to a team of strangers. Abby's portion of the game is honestly irrelevant, not even having her own game would justify her caving Joel's skull in and curb-stomping Ellie. Abby's section is simply there to pad out the game length.

    Oh yeah and there were zombies I think.

    Summary:
    Its very clear this game was made to destroy the legacy of the last game. Killing Joel so unceremoniously, absolutely ZERO insight into the infection, lack of good character dynamics and chemistry. This game is devoid of everything we liked about the first game. Granted, the game likely traded hands over the years, followed by Cukman's shameless simping for Anita Sarkisikunt, I honestly don't think this game could've come out any other way.    … Expand

    Give an 1 just for graphics too. Story... if we have a good story, almost nothing else matter too much. They destroyed everything building in The Last of Us 1. The plot was there, the path to the gold was there and they destroyed. Congratulations Naughty Dog, congratulations for the mess. 70% of the original employers leave the company and the game - dismissed?. That’s the result.

    A disgrace to the main characters. They totaly disregarded the first game and our attachement to the main character, Joe deserved so much better than what he got. Really sad and extremely dissaponting.

    I wont lie, the major flaws are the time jumping, character swapping, and the game is a slog for 2/3's of it's length. There are long sections where your AI partner doesn't say anything to keep you engaged (unlike the dynamic Joel and Ellie had in the first entry)
    It is very dry, dark, and not "fun" to play but that's part of the plot.

    I think my only major dislike is Dina, this is not a happily ever after lesbian story... as Dina is not even really lesbian anyway. Her motives and intentions are not made clear until the final act. She was never meant to be the one for Ellie, and it's pretty noticeable when Jesse arrives at the theatre that Dina likes men more. She's literally a flaky, scummy person.
    Do I like the angle? Not really, but once you get the full context. It's tolerable.

    Mi crítica no tiene nada que ver con la ideología metida en el juego, desde el dlc “left behind“ se sabía que Ellie era homosexual y no importaba para nada, es más en este juego la relación con Dina podría haber sido una relación como la que mencionaba anteriormente que se va desarrollando según lo hacen los acontecimientos del juego y chapó.
    Pero no, naughty dog añade una personaje que independientemente de lo que represente esta metida con calzador.... Pero eso no es lo peor, para mi ha sido una puñalada en el corazón el final que le han dado a Joel, se lo han cargado sin más, merecía un final digno, era una muerte que se presuponía pero que debió hacerse con amor y delicadeza hacia un personaje increíble y que se ganó a miles de fan por lo humano que era.
    Podría hablar de cosas buenas que tiene el juego pero también de muchas malas para compensarlas.
    Como punto final he de decir que este juego para mi marca un antes y después con el que era mi estudio favorito, seré prudente con cada título que hagan a partir de ahora.    … Expand
