    Stunning visuals, storytelling and overall ganeplay. Many controls or annoying features from the original were refined in this version (eg shiv lockpick system). Focus shifts from the daughter-father relarionship to a much heavier revenge themed story, but god damn if the writing is not just as good, perhaps even better,..Game is amazing.

    7 years.. we‘ve waited 7 years only to be disappointed with your BS storytelling. You had 7 years to come up with the best story anyone could possibly come up with and this is the result. Shame on you ND. You did not just kill Joel in such a disrespectful manner, even the end was pathetic. Going to have to think more than twice now the next time before buying one more game from you guys.

    This game's story is god awful the gameplay and graphics are the only reason I gave it a 4/10. The way Joel dies is by a golf club! He dies by someone we don't even know in the beginning then on top of that the ending of the game Ellie doesn't even kill Abby (the Joel killer) she lets her live and the whole game you play as both Abby and Ellie but while playing as Ellie for the ending youThis game's story is god awful the gameplay and graphics are the only reason I gave it a 4/10.     instead of the group killing Joel, they should’ve done an eye for an eye and killed Tommy. That infuriates Joel and Ellie, but Joel goes off alone to go avenge his brother. Ellie goes after him. You get to play as both Joel and Ellie like the good ole days, then they reunite towards the end to find the killers. At the end, Joel is wounded but goes out like a champ killing off as many enemies as he can. In the finale, Ellie is the one to kill Abby, but Joel is hella wounded. He dies in Ellie’s arms. THAT would’ve been way more meaningful than whatever the hell this was.    … Expand

When I first heard that the last of us 2 was going to be like the last jedi I wasn't really surprised and although there was a clear contrast between user and critic reviews that isn't the only thing the two have in common. Both substitute actual good writing and plot twists with these "gotcha shock" moments. Gotcha, throws lightsaber of the cliff, Gotcha Finn gets rammed into last second, gotcha you can't actually stab this dude because he's a ghost. It's the same stupid **** with the last of us 2. Riding on your horse, gotcha captured, getting beat up gotcha there is a shard of glass and you stab some dude in the neck, in an abandoned building with a bunch of **** strangers? Gotcha there goes your **** knee. This isnt the only problem with the story, So much is sacrificed for this plot with a message that isn't even that hard to understand. The first game was so innovative and I learned so much from it, the same can't be said about this one. In Naughty dog games it's always about the characters and personally, I found the new cast of characters to be unlikable and in terms of abbys friends, they would definitely not survive the apocalypse. And they got rid of all the crate pushing and ladder climbing which I actually kind of miss, instead of riding a horse spamming x for 10 minutes talking, it's more fun actually solving a puzzle instead. And lastly, for a game puts an emphasis on death and vulnerability, it's not very convincing when you play as a veteran with a 100 kd and whenever the enemies get a chance to kill you they go full dumb dumb and by the end of the game, Ellie somehow survives, so much for being realistic. And one more negative thing, I respect the direction that they were trying to take with Abby but Neil knew a decision like that would split the fan base and that's not exactly a good thing because the last of us is so respected and people have been waiting 7 years for this one, I don't want to play as the girl who probably has a penis that killed one of my favorite characters in gaming. The graphics are nice, you can thank the overworked employees for that, the gameplay is definitely something else but that **** is way to brutal for me lol.     Killed one of the 2 main characters of the game in the first hour or so of gameplay. Wasted a game worth of character development just to subvert expectations. Spent the whole game chasing Joel's killer to get revenge only to fight her, be seconds away from killing her, but decide to let her live, because again, people wouldn't expect that. Enough said.

While I enjoy the combat even though it's outdated, I play last of us for story, the story is what made this games downfall. I will point out just one very big plotpoint now, will not spoil the rest. The way they handled one particular death in this game is bad... and I mean BAD. so you will tell me a person who killed hundreds of guys in the last game... met his end by a golfclub? (Also, how stupid is it to have him reveal his name to complete strangers?) Oh, yeah, it's just so he could die.. . Let's be real, you know who I'm talking about and I don't think any of us expected him to survive this game... But kill him like that and not even at the end of the game? Gameplay is pretty much the same as the first game so if you enjoyed tlou's loop, you will enjoy this. That loop being stealth(if you want), loot, craft and then fight.

    The first game was universally praised for many reasons but I think, what made it truly great was the evolving relationship between Joel and Ellie. In part 2 that dynamic is immediately thrown to the side in favor of new characters, which I do not enjoy at all. Most if not all the new characters I find to be bland or awkward. The established characters, although they may have the same name, their personalities seem to be very different from the first game. To the point that some of the decisions that the characters take are baffling to me, so much so that I ended up despising a character that I previously loved. The ending is just bad. It makes everything that you did leading up to it utterly useless.

    I do not think this game was made for fans of the previous one. This would probably be better received by players if it was a completely new game but since it is a sequel it should be compared to the original. Part 2 falls short in every single aspect with the exception of graphics and gameplay but as I have stated previously, tlou2 is mostly about the story, and comes woefully short compared to the first.

    Beautiful graphics, great acting, average combat gameplay. Very very very bad story. Confusing character actions and plot points. Literal torture to play though especially for long time fans of the the first game.

The gameplay doesn’t evolve or change, what you see in the first couple of hours is what you get. Save your money.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is disappointing. It can hardly even be called The Last of Us "Part II" because it has nothing to do with the first game. Part 2 at the very minimum should have involved finding the cure still, and involved Joel. In the first game Joel murdered the fireflies to save Ellie, and lied to her. Everyone expected a continuation of that storyline and how long it would've been kept secret, and how they would have dealt with the rest of the fireflies now.

    The characters personalities, looks, and cautiousness from the first game has been removed. Joel trusts a bunch of strangers for no reason and walks into a room surrounded by them with Ellie. He's suddenly turned into a gullible fool and killed early on. The Last of Us was made popular by this character and maybe in a TV show or something longer it would be ok to kill him, but here it makes no sense.

    Also... playing large amounts of the game as 2 characters. Especially as Abby who is a very unlikable character. There is nothing positive about her, and she has nothing special or meaningful to accomplish in the entire game. Instead of the cure and accomplishing something important in the apocalypse, it turns into a boring 2 way revenge story. Another thing with Abby is she is somehow the only muscular shredded girl in the post apocalypse... Unless they have steroids and large amounts of protein, it's just not possible. I'm not being sexist, it's just simply obvious and out of place.

    The only positive I can point out in this game is the graphics. They're impressive, and I'm a fan of snowy environments which they made look great. I still can't give this game a better score because of that though, everything else is just a mess.

    Overall, this game does not make sense and I can't consider it canon in my book. I'll remember the first game and never look at this ever again and try my best to forget this complete failure of a sequel.    … Expand

You want to make Joel do something so blatantly out of character to get killed, fine, but at least have SOME kind of payoff for it. And the sex scene? GROSS. This developer literally called Halo "sexualized" because of Cortana's (a blue computer lasy) figure, then they digitally reduced the breast size of their diverse female cast because somehow that is too much, but then they have a SEX SCENE.     Gostei bastante, a todo momento o game me surpreendia de uma forma que eu não esperava, chorei, fiquei com raiva, fiquei feliz é fiquei com dúvida, esse jogo me colocou para pensar muito, eu posso dizer que the last of us part 2 é Um dos melhores jogos que eu poderia ver, o primeiro foi incrível é esse é melhor ainda, caso vá jogar vá com a mente aberta e com e não com preconceito.
