    I’m gonna cut this short, because you probably feel the same way I do. The graphics and sound are good, not as good as they showed earlier and compared to the first game which came out 7 years ago, but still good for a game. The characters and story are pitifully bad. Oh and one last thing, all the 10/10 reviews showed me that 95% of the game journalist sites are either bought out or wouldn’t know a perfect game if it came and bit them on their ass. Either way, massive hit to their credit. Massive hit to gaming. What a **** show this is guys. Shame.… Expand

    Game was way over hyped and over in a day. The story was cringy and uninteresting. A good portion of the dialogue was just unrelated to the story and solely for some kind virtue signaling. Really weird. The gameplay offered almost nothing new. The enemies were the same and everything was just like part one. I recommend a hard pass on this game until its in the $5 bin at Christmas.

There were multiple times that parts of the game were either extremely boring, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, and I wanted to laugh out loud at how poor the dialogue lines were.     You can have inclusion in games and movies, but it shouldnt be at the expense of the storytelling and already established characters. Combat is okay nothing that innovative but there are people who will be okay and might have fun with that the new enemies feel like a gimmick and less organic than i thought but they’re serviceable. The atmosphere is honestly inconsistent in execution, things just seem to happen and you’re along for the subpar ride. Subpar ride because the writing is not good sometimes i would daresay rushed and unpolished to the point it broke immersion multiple times when characters do things that history shows they wouldn’t do thats a case of poor execution on a part of the developers. And the slow sections just seem to drag this game, length could’ve been chopped up and it wouldnt have ruined anything. The new and i say that loosely characters honestly dont really stand out and even with motives for some they are hard to empathize with or relate to and very much unlikeable. It is possible to relate but the writing is not strong enough to do it. Also DMCA-ing channels for having a different opinion or exercising their right as a fan to speak out is distasteful and doesnt help your purpose. Take some responsibility for you actions. This game gets a 4 from me because take away the story the gameplay is an 8 (the story is a 2). 8 divided by 2 is 4 it’s mediocre. Can it still be a success yes but lets not pretend there are already games coming up that will be better than this and less insulting/divisive how did this get such high ratings really gaming journalists have some standards and hold these studios accountable when they do slimey things. Shock value for the sake of shock value is lame and lazy, Game of Thrones tried it everyone loved it until they started killing off characters those same people who liked it cared about,plus the writing was inconsistent and all over as well lets be real. Funny enough though....The difference being what Daenerys did if you really think about it (take the angry sunglasses off) given the history and context (despite bad writing laced throughout the entire show) makes more sense than what Ellie does in the end, thats sad.     The game is incredibly good!!! The story is amazing for several reasons, one of them, is the inclusion of a LGBT character which represents loads of gamers. On top of it, the way the game involves the player makes us feel part of that world. Congratulations!!!

    This game is the game of this console generation. Beautiful graphics, improved game play, soundtrack that fits well, and a story that does great things. This is a experience and best played with no expectations of story or what is going to happen because if you go in expecting something and don’t get it you just defeat yourself of a truly great experience

    Just finished playing. Was so terrible and prolonged that I had to force myself to continue just for the sake of hoping it got better. Hint: it didn't. Absolutely terrible afront to The Last of Us fans and an insult to the general community. Pushed political agendas (who tf thought this was a good idea!?) and horrible story-telling ruin the visuals. Deserved 0/10. Do not buy.

Starting of, you must be a real idiot in order to take one of the most iconic and famous franchises in gaming history and kill it. Just like that. I really believed that I'm a loser in life but a multimillion company managed to even surpass that, so I kind of thank them for that at this point.

    With that said and into the game the graphics, physics, music and lighting is top notch. That was to be expected though based on the budget and time they had to develop the title. The world is well designed and you really get the feeling that you are in a post apocalyptic world, hostile and you have to be careful and thoughtful before you make your next move. The music and sounds are on the same level. The guns sound is totally on point , you can feel the direction of hostile voices are curses are coming from and in general music is atmospheric and dips you in the world of tlou2 pretty well.

    The gameplay is the usual gameplay NaughtyDog introduced in the previous game (tlou1) and the known Uncharted games. You will get a lots of button mushing queues that you have to time correctly in order to escape many situations and "stealthy" approaches and gun ho fighting feels realistic and intense. Don't get me wrong though since the whole fighting thing is getting a bit repetitive and tiring after awhile. Sometimes the camera and controls feel wonky but that might be me, but in general is nothing to worry about.

    Finally, into the plot. The game is a total garbage. There is no character development. Like at all. They are all out in a quest for revenge and that's it. While being vengeful cuz something went wrong with your life is one thing, but doing that without justifying any choices the main characters make in the game is mind boggling. To the point that all you see is violence and relentless killing. Don't take me wrong here, im all for violence and gore in games but in this case its just stupid. Ellie (I guess everyone's favorite) after being busy killing a **** ton of people in the finale she just lets her nemesis go. Just like that no **** given. There are other situations that Ellie doesn't act like Ellie we all know as well which made me wonder "why? why? why?". I don't play a 30 hours game to have more questions in the end than before playing it and have to struggle, in order to justify the time I sank in, to cover their plot holes? I mean come on. Joel on the other hand, a middle aged man now(supposed to be wiser than before), just walks into a room full of strangers and just tell them who he is. Obviously they didn't like it he ends up dead two hours in the game. Amazing. Finally we understand that hate brings hate and this was trying to be a sad game while the first game was about love. BUT the players need to feel connected to the characters, so this works. ND tried to shove this down our throats with no real effort, "good guy Joel" had to die so now we kill them all. That's the narrative. Even the new characters they introduced are indifferent.

    All in all the plot made obvious that ND wants to get rid of your two favorite characters from the said post apocalyptic world they created. That is cuz they want to keep the world and milk it as much as they can with future games, but they don't have anything left in their brain to write about these two. They want to take your money by giving you plain and simple games without much work.

    Finally i want to talk about the huge difference in user score and critic reviews. People you need to wake up. Don't support the people and magazines who wrote the reviews. They are all of them fake and disgusting to the point that they try to manipulate us for clicks, views and money. Say no more. Vote with your clicks , your comments and your wallet.

    Personally I regret buying this game. I gave it a 3 for the effort of the people who designed the world the animations and composed the music. The rest literally is worth a zero. So don't buy this game even if you love the franchise. Time for ND to take a lesson. They escaped with Uncharted 4, but not this time. We also did it with Battlefront 2, we did it with Battlefield 5, we are going to do it again.

The characters you are supposed to root for are despicable and the decisions they make are idiotic. And how am I supposed to believe that a 100 pound angry teenage girl can take out sk manygrown men if this game is going for semi-realism

The twist exists purely for conventional means and the ending left an incredibly distasteful and dishonest service as a sequel.

    Other than that, the soundtrack is nice and the graphic is amazing, but how far can pretty pictures and lovely noise get when nothing is there to drive them?    … Expand

    Absolute unconcern from developers to musicians and music itself. Maybe a cover song stealing was ok in their opinion, but one character puts a guitar out of a case, plays it and leaves it on open air with complete indifference, that guitar will turn unplayable. Maybe musicians should join some right-demanding movements to make some rich boys to value them too?

    I have completely played and finished The Last of Us Part 2. First off I'd like to say I thought the game was great. I really enjoyed it and really felt the emotion as well as acknowledged all the hard work people at Naughty Dog put into it. A few things I kept running into tho were that I would constantly be leaving behind supplies due to how limited the inventory space was. I feel so much more passion from the characters in this game.     The way in which the game uses new mechanics is incredible, the story is excellent and plausible, the graphics are incredible, certainly one of the best, if not the best game of the generation.

    Es increíble lo bien que se siente jugar a este título, cada puñetazo que das duele, cada bala que disparas la sientes, combinado con las nuevas dinamicas y esa mejora de los momentos de combate y demas hacen de su jugabilidad un 10/10. Ahora bien, el problema de la narrativa es uno muy grande si has jugado al primero.    Esta review se base en experiencia propia tras finalizar el juego.

    Ahora bien, el problema de la narrativa es uno muy grande si has jugado al primero. Huecos increíbles en la narrativa en según que puntos, decisiones confusas que toman los personajes que, al haber jugado a la primera entrega, se hacen aún más confusas o incluso pesadas; una temática buena aunque saturada por varios elementos políticos que para nada le hacían falta al juego (aunque esto no empeora la experiencia de juego, pero la intención de meter eso a posta y como sea está ahí), desarrollo de los personajes casi nulo por parte de los co-protagonistas y uno muy pobre para Ellie. Todo esto alimentado por una base narrativa que se limita a la venganza (típica) y al perdón (típico) hace que el final de este juego se vea venir después de haber jugado las 2-4 primeras horas. Eso es lo peor de un juego, que tras jugar un poco ya sepas cual puede ser el final.
    Como resultado tenemos un videojuego servido en plato de diamante, con un genial aspecto; pero de pésimo sabor. La historia se disfruta, sí, pero si no se ha jugado a la primera entrega. Al principio es de 10, pero conforme avanza va empeorando y empeorando. Siendo finalmente rematada por el final, que de un 4 pasa a un 1.
    Conclusión:
    Fans de la saga, podeis jugarlo y disfrutar de él, pero no lo asociesis con el primer juego, porque es una soberana patada en el culo para este. Un sinsentido total.
    El resto: jugadlo sin problema, lo pasareis bien.

    The Last Of us 2 is certainly a divisive game but I'd rather call it a experience. Although the game starts off slow it does this to establish a tone however once things start picking up you know your in for one hell of a ride. Naughty Dog really came out swinging on all fronts for this outing from the graphics to the gameplay and especially it's characters.     I just finished the game. All I can say, game is bad overall. When you talk games like TLOU generally, you talk about a "story" not "gameplay". While gameplay plays a big part, story plays a bigger one.
    Straight forward, ND destroyed the game. They forced agendas upon their players knowing TLOU had a lot of fans, and the game grew so much in those seven years gap.
    What they did to get their money was false marketing the *STORY*. Check the latest "reveal date" trailer from them. They painted the game as if you'll play with Ellie now she's grown up, while having Joel alongside later in the game, and that never happened.
    Last of "Us" always meant to me as two characters: Ellie and Joel. Now I don't disagree with killing Joel, but he deserved much **** better. We fell in love with his character, and you killing him off just to push some agenda in the first 2 hours is what I call killing off the **** game.

    I was one of those who defended the game before playing it, but now that I did and finished it, all I can say I'm sorry for doubting the haters, because I'm one, too.

    AND that aside, fans expected lots answers: Why is Ellie immune? What happened to the world? The cure? They left a lot of **** just to push some agenda, which I'm okay with, but completely **** unnecessary, especially in a video game like this.

    But hey I learnt a lesson here which is never preorder a game, especially from PS dog**** store. I wasted $60, and I will regret paying ND this **** much for this ****ty game.

    Now, I want a dev or a storyteller who was part of TLOU 2 making to actually make a video explaining the meta behind the writing of this **** story. How can you even come up with this trash? Were there ever QA involved here? DID ANYBODY IN THIS COMPANY TEST THIS GAME AND THOUGHT "OH WE SHOULDN'T DO THAT." ?!
