    Прежде всего я хотела бы выразить огромную благодарность разработчикам за первую часть. Она настолько вдохновила меня, что я даже написала несколько фанфиков, хотя фанфики по играм я обычно не пишу. Это была потрясающая игра, лучшая в своем роды и Вы, уважаемые разработчики...просто слили ее в сраный унитаз. Да-да. Вы взяли свой многолетний труд, положили его на пол и насрали на него. Так что просто браво!
    Я никогда не ожидала, что можно быть настолько безмоглыми уродами и так ненавидеть свою аудиторию, которая блять деньги Вам платит! Вы харкнули в лицо каждому своему фанату! КАЖДОМУ! И Вам даже дело до этого нет, потому что нет и у Вас и мозгов!

    How are these reviews possible?

    I woke up at 4 am to play this game. The first thing I did when I woke up was quickly scan metacritic for what people were saying. I saw all the **** reviews and knew it had to be bull****. Loaded up the game and played for a solid hour and a half. Not even fully done the tutorial yet. This game is exactly like the first one, except everything is tighter.    How are these reviews possible?

    Loaded up the game and played for a solid hour and a half. Not even fully done the tutorial yet. This game is exactly like the first one, except everything is tighter. The graphics are the best I've ever seen on a console so far. The acting is amazing, the controls are just like the first one. The story has me hooked in all ready. I'm anticipating this game to be at least as great as the original, hence the 10 rating. I'll change my review if this turns out not to be the case.

    What has me perplexed is all the terrible reviews. Assuming that everyone who reviewed this game before me started playing at midnight, and assuming they all submitted they're reviews at 3:59 am, that would mean they would have had maybe 2 hours and 20 mins of gameplay tops over me. What could possibly happen in 2 hours and 20 mins to completely derail this experience? Impossible to do a 180 that quickly. If you're reading these reviews this early on and seeing all this negativity, then you're being trolled. If you loved the first game, this is a must play for sure.    … Expand

    With a boring story, simple characters, not interesting gameplay and awful visuals and audio, The Last of Us Part II is probably one of the worse videogame experiences out there and it’s pretty easy to give it a bad score and call it a day. But honestly, thanks to the mild pace, lgbt and "stressful situations", it may not be for everyone.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As someone who is normally a fan of Naughty Dog games and of the original Last of Us, I feel this game is a slap in the face. If you enjoyed the first game because of the story, characters and relationships, this game is not for you. Due to some questionable story-line choices, the game feels like a slog to get through and tries to force its players into a middle school ethics class rather than engross us in an enthralling story. The graphics are some of the best this generation, but the game-play rarely features anything innovative and feels like more of the same as the first game. Overall, averaging everything out I would give this game a 5/10 and similar to Game of Thrones season 8 and Star Wars - Rise of Skywalker, this is one sequel that will sorely disappoint even its most loyal fans.

    Naughty Dog have done it again. Even to play this just for the story this is phenomenal. Game play is terrifying (in a great way) and you truly feel like you are in a zombie apocalypse.

WTF Neil Druckmann! how could you?. Never would i thought, that naughty dog would disappoint me like this. This Game is not worth your money, go watch it on Twitch/Youtube if you really need to...     I can't find one reason to complain about the game (except maybe how unrealistic it can be, which isn't all that much considering it is a game with mushroom zombies in it) I've seen reviews where people have complained about there not being enough space to be explored, which isn't even true, and even if it were, no one seemed to have an issue with that when the first game was released, both games are linear by nature, they are games that tell a story, not a game about exploring every nook and cranny of a city.

    Anyways, if you enjoyed the first game, play this one and pretend you haven't read any reviews, draw your own conclusions and don't hate the game because so many others do.    … Expand

    Let me start off by saying this. The game graphically and animation wise is top notch, one of the best looking games out there and this is done on 7 year old hardware. Where this game falls short is in its story and gameplay. The gameplay has been improved upon from the first game but not by much it still feels extremely outdated. I absolutely love the first last of us. it is probably my favorite game ever. but part 2 has nothing to do with the first game. sure there are some flashbacks but the plot is a revenge story. not a story about the ending of the last game. the best part about part 1 was the relationship between Joel and Ellie. but part 2 removed that. and the characters don’t really act like they did in the first game either. i liked the game but only when there is meaningful cutscenes or gameplay. and the combat gets really repetitive through out the game. the graphics are absolutely gorgeous. but this game isn’t a masterpiece, it’s a good game. but it is nothing compared to part 1.… Expand

    It's been a quarter game. So far, everything is very good with the story and the gameplay and the story. Strongly expanded and improved the first part.
    The closest analogy is like Witcher 2 and Witcher 3.
    Graphics 10/10. Footage 8/10 (for the first quarter of the game). Battles 11/10. Very brutal and atmospheric. Monsters 10/10 Beauty 10/10 All in all, great game (The Witcher 2020)    It's been a quarter game. So far, everything is very good with the story and the gameplay and the story. Strongly expanded and improved the first part.
    The closest analogy is like Witcher 2 and Witcher 3.

I give a 4 tho for the variety of difficulty modes, the accessibility features and the graphics because the gameplay is just like TLOU 1 with a jump button that you use in two occasions. What a waste of opportunity.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly, ignore many of the homophobic and hateful reviews. Are some valid? Probably, but few actually give constructive criticism that doesn't stem from the game including "identity politics" and everything else.

    What's great about the game:

    The graphics, as expected, are beautiful. I've spent twenty minutes staring at the mountains because of how gorgeous everything looks (and how disgustingly terrifying the zombies look). The characters, both old and new, are amazing. I think the story in itself offers up a level of realism with the relationships going on, even between characters we've just encountered. Ellie feels like the Ellie we meet during the first game, but she's older and stronger (and a little terrifying as well). SPOILER MENTIONED: Of course, we all know (or most know) what happens to the beloved Joel. Even though his horrific death is gutwrenching and awful, it fits the story. I can get being upset about losing a character you love, but his death leads to the rest of the game and the feelings of the characters, even Tommy, who we only see in glimpses and through his actions. SPOILER OVER

    The cinematics (which I do have a tad of a gripe about, mentioned below), are also incredible, and some of them give us the much-needed relief from the horror. This game is definitely more story-driven than the first one, but I don't have a problem with that. The Last of Us has always been a more story-driven game. Representation is important, especially in video games. To some, it's pushing an agenda, but video games reach large populations, meaning they need to more diverse than they were growing up. This game does just that without making it a focal point. Ellie being gay has been established since the DLC of the first game came out, so I do not understand the shock there.

    SPOILER: There is a transgender character later on named Lev, and not Abby, as many tried to enforce due to her body shape and appearance. So, don't fall into that misinformed belief. SPOILER OVER

    What I find to be the best thing about the game is the horror of it all. So many post-apocalyptic games tend to forget the setting and what is at stake. They fall short on the zombie aspect and just struggle to create moments of true tension and horror. The Last of Us II is a great example of wonderful horror. It has tension and builds tension without making the moments too obvious. As the one playing or the one watching, the game creates a level of anxiety many others come nowhere close to achieving. The gore and violence, which I have seen many say is too much, is just right for the game. It does make it more mature, but the violence fits the setting and the plot.


    Onto what I found to be the negatives:

    In regards to the cinematics, I do find that they do happen a little too often. It feels as if every other moment is a cinematic scene, which can bog down the overall gameplay if too frequent. Granted, the cinematic scenes are great, but I feel some moments didn't need to have one.

    SPOILER: One of my gripes and this may just be me, is how quickly the relationship happens between Ellie and Dina. This is probably just me and my struggle to understand the passing of time, but it jumps so quickly from them having this awkward thing going on to them calling each other babe and talking about their lives together. I do think the game could have done better with spacing that out so it does not overwhelm the story. SPOILER OVER


    These are my negatives so far. More may arise, but not enough to warrant such a huge drop in a review.

    Overall, the game is great as a sequel. It also works as a standalone game. I think a lot of the reviews, especially the negative ones I have read, expected one thing and are upset that they got something else. That's how these things work. And certain types of characters being in a game is not pushing an agenda. It's simply saying we exist and deserve to be included in all forms of media, not just the political ones.    … Expand

    I love all the Naughty Dog games i've played the Crash games, The Jax games, the Uncharted games, and the first The Last of Us(Which I loved, even the DLC I didn't think was THAT bad), but this game just spits(literally Neil Druckmann self inserts himself into the game to spit on a beloved character from the first) the fan base and story of the original. This is just a horrid game. TheI love all the Naughty Dog games i've played the Crash games, The Jax games, the Uncharted games, and the first The Last of Us(Which I loved, even the DLC I didn't think was THAT bad), but this game just spits(literally Neil Druckmann self inserts himself into the game to spit on a beloved character from the first) the fan base and story of the original. This is just a horrid game. The gameplay is just like the original, no real updates, it feels so outdated already, like I'm playing a PS3 game with some ducktape slapped on, and TLoU had some already outdated gameplay at the time. There are so many stupid "environment puzzles" where you just move a ladder or box, like in the first, but multiplied by a ton.

    The story has many issues which I'm not going to get into as I want to leave this a spoiler free review, but if you liked the first one and cared about the characters, then don't waste your money on this game that will spit on you and your love for the game, because you don't UNDERSTAND NEIL DRUCKMANN'S GREATNESS(Who forced out a woman, Amy Hennig, who had denied that she was being harrassed in the work place and said that men she worked with helped her and were nice).

    The "Critic" reviews are all paid for, I have to believe this, and I believe a heavy amount of the "Positive" reviews are bots after having read them(yet Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann, and many of the cast are claiming the negative reviews are all bots made by MEAN PEOPLE). They all praise this game and story, saying it's great, when there are multiple issues with it as I said but can't get into to keep this spoiler free, praising the gameplay, etc... The Audio is good I will give them that, and the Visuals are really good too(although not the best out there right now, not close even, but still really good).

    Save your money and don't buy this. So disappointed I even borrowed this from a friend to play.    … Expand

I have never been really conflicted in a game before until this I can see where people are coming from with Abby's character but in my personal opinion her character is amazing. At first I was dreading playing her for killing Joel but as I did so I fell for her as a character. Both Ellie and Abby have a problem of revenge as that is the main driving force for these two and really shows the downfall of suck beliefs in both of them.… Expand

In the technical aspect, Naughty Dog managed to overcome itself again, reusing and improving the same mechanics of the first game, which by themselves were already considered incredible even after the remastering. Regarding the plot, I believe it is not surprising that the game takes a totally different direction compared to the first, since it was a love story, and that now it takes a revenge approach, and that approval or disapproval is essentially subjective, but no degree of dissatisfaction would justify so much hatred, prejudice and boycotting the merits of the game, which ironically will only contribute to The Last of Us 2 being a milestone in the history of games (for better or for worse). In protest of the bombing "reviews", I will personally hope that the game wins GOTY.… Expand

    Okay now this game still has so so gameplay but now the story and characters are garbage. It was a chore to finish since nothing was motivating me to go on. The characters don't act like themselves and are just unbelievable.

    Whoever wrote this script needs to be fired.

    The ONLY reason TLOU2 really works for me is because of how emotionally invested and attached I was to the characters of Pt I. This game isn’t afraid of closely and uncomfortably examining the consequences. In my opinion, there really wasn’t any other way to justify a sequel to the near-perfect game that TLOU was.

    Gameplay wise, (though admittedly a bit dated) everything TLOU did, this one does better. The tension, the environmental storytelling, and the fluidity, the balance of control vs desperation in any given combat scenario - all of it has been perfected. I do my best to temper expectations going into any game I’m excited about, but I’m almost relieved to say that this one DELIVERS and then some.

    Bravo, ND, keep doing what you do and I can’t wait to see what y’all do next.

    Gamers, please keep an open mind and just TRY this one out. There’s a lot of fun to be had at the end of the day, regardless of how you feel about the representation on display here. Which isn’t a bad thing come on.... because THE STORY WORKS.

    TLDR; great game, you owe it to yourself to try it out if you own a PS4, keep an open mind and don’t just pile on to a work of art without adequate context and information.    … Expand

    Pls do not listen to any of the reviews (user). The game has only been out for a less of Day and the story is 20-24 hours how could they have finished the game. Even if the game did not meet their expectations it is definitely not a 0 by any stretch of the word. I dont know whether it is lgnlnt hate or xbox players pla do not listen to them

    Gameplay is boring, not innovative. The plot is like a crappy TV show. Neil tries to teach players his opinion of revenge in a game but games are never tools of that. Game should be about different choices, for different people, not putting someone's opinion over others, by playing and raping players' emotion. I really don't know why critic review is so high.
