    Been playing Naughty Dogs games since they began and have loved many especially the Uncharted series and TLOU. This was a game that was a no brainer that I was going to get Day 1 before seeing the leaks of the awful story, horribly misleading media and the criminal attacks on Youtubers by Sony/Naughty Dog. The antiquated game play, bland level design and grey world are not saved by goodBeen playing Naughty Dogs games since they began and have loved many especially the Uncharted series and TLOU. This was a game that was a no brainer that I was going to get Day 1 before seeing the leaks of the awful story, horribly misleading media and the criminal attacks on Youtubers by Sony/Naughty Dog.     The worst story in gaming history books ever. Even if it's free I won't buy it. Has no meaning or lesson or nice memory to take with it. Complete wast of time I'd rather spend 15 hours starring at a blank wall than playing this madness.

    I will not waste my time going into detail so here here is why this game is bad and indeed deserves a one as a score: Just imagine someone wanted to ruin all original characters, shove new ones down your throat and having them do the most unforgivable actions but then Uno reverse card it and pull the cheapest sympathizer tricks out of their butts like "oh look they save animals!" You CANNOT redeem this new character(Abby) and the game desperatly tries to do that and meanwhile make actual main characters like Ellie act out of character and generally **** It doesn't work. The gameplay looks good but it's as deep as a puddle. If the first game had a bad story NO ONE would have played it. 1/10 I stand by that… Expand

    After blasting through it this weekend I can honestly say it was a great disappointment when compared to the first, level designs seemed alot better and graphically it is stunning but the game play felt so similar to the previous one and I expected more from a ps4 title...     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a game this is above average. The game always gives the feeling that the world is inhabitant and the places visited feel "real". The story on the other hand always feels surreal, character making decisions they wouldn't have in the world of the previous one. The world has been in this state for 24 years. By now only those that have learned to survive, to be decisive and to be viscous, to be conserving and to be cautious are left, they are "the last of us".
    In this game Joel and Ellie have already found a place to call their home, where they do not have to cautious around everybody and can let their guard down, but they are still aware of the rest of the world and what it means to be out there as they have experienced it for most of their lives, yet they make decisions that even in their rage and blood lust seem more than out of place than ever before.
    This game has made the commitment to deconstruct Joel as much as possible and telling the player how awful he is or was, ignoring the end of the previous game telling us to decide for our selves.
    In this game Joel is not portrayed as father who cared about Ellie but as a father paranoid about what would happen to her if people found out about her immunity. In the first one Joel and Ellie chose to not talk about her "condition" and frankly were prob indifferent if people found out. There mindsets have changed just to give players the impression that Ellie is uncomfortable around Joel.
    This very much is the point i am most disappointed about and the reason i am unhappy about this game. Joel was a monster and nobody denied it, but that was what he needed to be to survive and at the end of the day he was a monster so Ellie could live, but naughty dog changed it from a Father doing anything to save his daughter to a lunatic that killed the last hope of humanity and is a bad father. The only line they delivered perfectly was when Joel was faced by Ellie and he said he would do it all over again.

    I am an abundant lover of the last of us. I loved the story, game play, and character growth of tlou so whole heartedly. I felt a real connection with the characters and was so enthralled by the plot. I waited for this game with such great anticipation and enthusiasm, am I sorry to say I am highly disappointed with tlou2. Everyone knew elle was curious or even bisexual in the original, soI am an abundant lover of the last of us. I loved the story, game play, and character growth of tlou so whole heartedly. I waited for this game with such great anticipation and enthusiasm, am I sorry to say I am highly disappointed with tlou2. Everyone knew elle was curious or even bisexual in the original, so thats not a suprise or shocker for me. I felt that arc was good, but could have been better. The entire rest of the plot and game play is horrendous, and seems like a quickly thought up narrative of a shell of what the original was. I miss the real Joel..     I really wanted to like this game.. The graphics are astonishing and really push the ps4 to the limits but i feel like while trying to force you to like the new characters they completely messed up the character development of the ones we bought the game for. Naughty dog had their focus and their priorities quite wrong with this one...

It’s looking gorgeous, gameplay is stunning and the plot... it’s definitely very mature and different to everything I’ve played in my last 20 years of gaming. Ellie doesn’t seem like the same character she seems like poor written fan fiction, deceptive marketing practices, poor writing, all compounded by Neil Druckmans ego. Man I gave naughty dog the benefit of the doubt when it came to this game because neil wasI just finished the game and wow.     The game is amazing ike the first, the story is engaging , you can feel the emotions of the characters and care about some of them, not to mention the gameplay, soundtrack and amazing graphics.
    I think some decisions are courageous not pleasing everyone, and that divide opinions.

On the technical site the game really shines, everything looks amazing, the acting, the emotions, voiceacting everything is brilliant. 10/10 for me. I got to say it kinda felt like Uncharted 4 with TLoU skin, gameplay wise, which in my opinion is not a bad thing as I loved Uncharted 4.

    Storywise and this is only my personal opinion and I'm happy for everyone who got what they wanted out of the game and the story. We knew the second game will be really dark and I looked forward to this.

    We even knew that Joel would probably not make it and that he would go out one way or the other.. For me personally Joel was my character, I really loved him in the first game and while he may not always made the right decisions, I as a player could still stand behind him because we knew why he did what he did. In the second part we now get to see that some decisions have really harsh consequences.

    I generally like revenge plots in games and in movies but I really did not like the way they tried to play it out in this game. Maybe if we would have gotten more time with Joel & Ellie together, how they developed in the years we haven't seen them and then get to know Abby, her struggles, her story of revenge etc. before she gets her chance to complete her revenge it would have resonated better with me.

    Playing as Abby after she killed Joel made it hard for me to continue and the end didn't do it for me. I think with a better order of events the same game could have been much more enjoyable. I really tried to feel bad for Abby but in the end she was still the one who killed the character I cared the most about. The story had great moments and I don't want to spoil to much but I think this game is still worth a playthrough. Maybe with knowing what I know now I wouldn't pay full release price but it is what it is.

    Ending the game left me feeling empty and unsatisfied, maybe that is what they wanted to archive but honestly I'm not looking forward for a third part.

    I would love to give this game a 10/10 but I just can't. I love ND and I see where they wanted to go with this but it just isn't for me, and that is Ok. I think for anyone that is not as invested with Joels Character as I am the game will be amazing. That's why I give it a 6/10 but remember for you this game could be a 10/10 so play it, in the end it's just a game and it is not on us to decide which directions the creators want to go.

    On a side note, I really have to disagree with people saying that they pushed some kind of agenda in this game. It didn't feel forced and I think it fits the way the game is designed. Sex scenes are normal in 18+ series/movies and shows a side that is often dismissed in storydriven games.    … Expand

    Characters decisions frequently making no sense and gratuitous violence. That is what makes the storyline pretty immature to me. Honestly the only reason I got to the end of this game was because of how good the first one was. I just needed to get closure. Gameplay was dull and repetitive. Graphics and sound is just what you would expect from a game with that budget.

The character development which had Joel (who just lost his daughter) and Ellie, who to begin with really did not like each other, develop that maternal bond. That is why the Last of Us was so successful, the story.

    I've not yet completed The Last of Us 2, however I've wasted £50 and around 15 hours of my life on it. Things that I will never get back.

    My only advice is; if the reason that you loved the first game so much is to do with the story, then this game is honestly a spit in the face. I'm at a loss for words...

    Why are people such cry-babies? This story sticks to it's roots by making realistic choices and decisions with the writing. People don't live forever and you cant be the hero, forever. The game play is generation defining and is very rewarding, the game will either reward you or punish you based on your decisions and I love this dynamic. I've overall enjoyed the entirety of the game.

The Gameplay is great but the story is awful and generic "oh you killed Joel i must track down everyone one at a time and go through a lot of situations just to kill a single person" it's like farcry 5 for example you gotta kill them off one at a time and the false advertising oh man, they really tried their best too make it look like Dina died and we were playing with Joel trying too avenge Dina… Expand

    It seems like the story writers didn't really take the main characters personality from the first game into account.

    Here, in the sequel, the main characters feel "out of character" because their decisions in don't line up with the prequel. Character conversations feel forced and cringey. After a certain point you just want to put down the controller and stop playing.     This is coming from someone who loved the story of the first game.
    It's sad to see naughty dog in a state like this. I've always had high regards for older naughty dog titles but the way the company has chosen makes me rethink ever supporting them in future games.
    I feel let down.
    The story as a whole feels cheap and the ending makes things pointless.

    If you don't care game stories and want to play a game with great graphics and gameplay ported over from the last of us 1, this game is perfect for you.
    If you were looking for an experience with the story like the first game, stay away from this game.
    Try to forget that it ever existed, for it will only dissapoint.    … Expand

    Bonita forma de arruinar una saga, gráficos y entorno impresionantes. Por lo demás personajes, evolución de la trama, jugabilidad ( recién salida del 2012) e Historia realmente decepcionante.     The Last of Us is still one of my favorite games ever, both history and narrative were the star of the show. I bought a used PS4 so that I could play this game, I've tried to avoid any spoilers that were out, and finally, after waiting for so long...

    This game is so beautiful! With its trans sjw bs being crammed down our throats and subpar characters this game is completely amazing, nothing wrong at all! Cus you know the TLOU community love nothing more than **** gameplay mechanics and a very abhorant story! truly the best game ever! I completely believe the critics are right and totally werent paid money for their bs!

    Lou2 is easily one of the top 3 games of this generation
    Game play wise is the Best of this gen. Camera, control, response, stealth, AI, animation, collision detection, aiming, craft, evade, fight all of these elements are perfect.
    Graphics easily a next gen launch titles in 60fps
    Story is Just a matter of personal opinion. For me is a very good and emotional Story.

    It has amazing graphics decent gameplay but hardly any innovation in the gameplay mechanics to set it apart from the first game but the story is awfully it just a boring tired tale that been told a lot of times already and it dosent even execute the story well. And the ending will just leave you tired and miserable

    This is not a spoiler, I didn`t play the game but I hate the payouts to great gaming pages to get high scores. However, the first part have a interesting story and this sequel its an insult to all the players and fans. 0/10 indeed

В геймплейном плане конечно же игра скакнула через первую часть, но не могу сказать, насколько далеко. Во второй части ты чувствуешь своего персонажа, чувствуешь мощь и тяжесть оружия, чувствуешь каждый удар. Но ведь это было и в первой части, здесь же всё доведено до идеала. В плане крафта игра тоже отличается от первой части. Основные механики остались, но есть что-то новое, интересное. Стелс интересный и разнообразный, противники иногда тупят, но в целом, новые механики очень круто вписываются в геймплейную часть. Про графику говорить нет смысла, она на высоте. Ну и конечно же сюжет. Видите все эти плохие оценки от игроков? "В игре ЛГБТ повестка, Анита Саркисян испортила игру". Где повестка? Игра не возвышает меньшинства, она показывает реальность. Кому-то не нравится, что Элли лесбиянка. Но давайте объективно, к этому ещё давно вело дополнение Left Behind. Почти все обсуждают сюжет, и говорят, насколько он плох, так вот моё мнение о сюжете:

    Разработчики говорили, что месть будет двигать Элли по сюжету. Они не солгали, так и есть, большую часть геймплея мы движемся по тонкой нити, дабы отомстить за смерть Джоэла. Меня поразила его смерть в самом начале, но она нужна была сюжету. В этом мире, мире где каждый выживает как может, не стоит думать, что всё будет радужно. Элли стала одержима, она убивала всех на своём пути. Что касаемо Эбби: нам раскрыли её историю и мотивацию. Те, кто говорит, что она лишняя, пусть говорят, лично я так не считаю. Она привнесла в сюжет много ответов, мне действительно стало жаль её и её отца, которого убил Джоэл. Она отомстила за отца. Кто-то скажет, 4 года прошло, зачем он ей сдался? Элли с Джоэлом прошли пол Америки не за один день, при том, что у них был заданный маршрут и конкретная цель. В этом мире, без транспорта, где всё разрушено, нельзя так просто найти нужного человека и достать его за пару дней. Эбби не стала убивать Элли, оставила в живых Дину и Томми. Что сделала Элли? Убила беременную Мел, Оуэна и всех друзей Эбби. Игра показывает, насколько жестока и одержима Элли, игра показывает, что она не святая, и как бы вы, игроки, её не любили, она человек, который слепо убивает, как животное, но такое понятное и близкое животное. В общем, кто хейтит концовку, скорее всего уже был с предвзятым мнением о игре. Она действительно трагична, но реальна. Она должна была так закончиться. Элли увидела во Льве себя, в Эбби - Джоэла, поэтому она оставила их в живых. Она бросила Дину, ради мести, и та от неё ушла, абсолютно справедливо и заслуженно. Игра показывает, что насилие порождает ещё большее насилие, к чему приводит месть и слепость.    … Expand

    It's bad game, that threw everything the first game built to the ground, they force you to make unreasonable decisions in the game and they even have the nerve to force you to see an unreasonable ending, revenge plots put of nowhere and forced inclusion make this one of the worst game of this generation

    Estéticamente el juego es hermoso por los detalles del paisaje, físicas , etc., lamentablemente un juego no se define simplemente por como se ve si no por lo que te haga querer avanzar y continuar la aventura. La historia no es nada del otro mundo y presenta detalles sin lógica y el gameplay es prácticamente igual al anterior presentando mejoras en casi todos los aspectos( un punto bueno)

    I don’t think I’ve seen such a poorly handled cast of such great characters. Gameplay is fine for me , but clunky, the story made me burn my disc to cook myself dinner.

This game has the worst script ever written on Earth. They literally killed Joel, who was a well written legendary character in the first game, for nothing!     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
