    Absolutely fantastic game. Great attention to detail and an amazing new area of America to explore. 10/10 imo
    And I still vote that the last of us 1 is the greatest game to ever release.

    Don’t believe the ratings bombing! The game is fantastic! Ellie has grown in logical ways, and the other characters are well-rounded as well. Sure, the plot can be sad, depressing, and devastating, but it’s beautiful in its own way.

    People will try and tell you if you dislike the game you are a bigot or anti-lgbt. They will dismiss any complaints about the story line as illegitimate. The game puts unneeded focus on a new character that most people will just not care about and the game doesn't really give us any reason to care for.

    Ruined story. Beloved characters systematically destroyed on several levels. Franchise hijacked by gender politics influencing jarring story and design decisions. Hollow shell of the game that came before.

    If you don’t like the new direction your accused of being a ism or a phobe. Don’t waste your money.

    At least FF7 Remake didn’t try and pull the same level of bs. F**k you naughty dog.

    I truly loved the feel of playing this game(all the love to the grunts of Naughty Dog). But I did not love the world I was trapped in.

    I maybe emotional, but I know this game isnt more than a 6/10. Again, I truly love the passion that the core of ND puts into these games and it shows. But what also reveals itself is maybe some leadership issues. This comes from a passionate fan of ND.

The gameplay is just a run of the mill 3rd person shooter with stealth elements, it gets boring fast and you have to do it for like 20+ hours, and the story is all over the place, from killing off a beloved character of the previous series in the first 2 hours of the game, to forcing you to play as the character that killed the beloved character, to there being no payoff for the game's protagonist in the end. Just a **** story. Shame on Naughty Dog...… Expand

    I cried, I laughed, I cried some more. Fantastic experience start to finish. Even being spoiled 2 months prior to release it didn’t ruin my experience. Story and gameplay are all S tier. Highly recommend if you were a fan of the first game.

Last of us was a great game, you build relationships with the characters and you care about them and the struggles they have endured. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the sequel and see what challenges we would come up against.

    Then I play this thing, this pile of absolute dog crap. Thank god I could get a refund as I don’t want my money funding this tripe.

    They crap all over one of the main characters of the previous game, the scene was barbaric and just wrong in all ways possible.
    No it’s not thought provoking, it’s just bad and after that who the hell cares what happens next.

    Avoid at all cost, ignore the main media reviews if you want to keep fond memories of The last of us just play the first one’s

    To play The Last of Us Part 2. you probably want to make sure you finished the first game because every element of it (minus the multiplayer) is developed and expanded upon here. This is a masterpiece that’s *deeply* invested in the first game’s world, it’s story and gameplay and character development.

    Naughty Dog brought a lot of the mechanics of Uncharted 4 into this title and uses them to stunning effect. If I had to guess, these mechanics are part of why they’re not releasing a multiplayer with the game, as they significantly change the combat mechanics of the first title in an utterly thrilling and gripping way.

    While it’s no open world, it really feels like there’s a lot to explore all the time and I can’t wait to replay this one and see if there actually were multiple paths, because I’d certainly feels like I could have made different choices at various points along the way.

    This is fantastic work at every level, an utterly worthy sequel to one of the most transformative games I’ve ever played. It’s the game I’ve been waiting for ever since I feel fell in love with TLOU. I can’t wait to see what Naughty Dog has in store for the multiplayer idea they teased us with.    … Expand

Руки слегка дрожат, в горле ком и ощущение того что эти три дня прохождения заняли целые года. Это был прекрасный опыт и по окончанию игры я просто сел и начал фантазировать какой будет вторая часть. Я рисовал разные картины но не мог представить что в итоге это превратится в эту фантасмагорию....
    Товарищи, это игра про пост-апокалипсис. Первая часть брала своими психологическими и философскими аспектами. Мир который сошел с ума, где потрепанный окружающей средой Джоэль находит антидепрессант в виде Элли которая заменяет ей дочь. Тут нет места привычным нам удобствам, тут правят законы социал-дарвинизма где «выживают сильнейшие». И объясните пожалуйста, каким боком, в этом мире, появляются лесби страсти, милость и прочие нелогичности???
    Концовка-мерзость. Убить столько людей, а в итоге оставить в живых главную тварь. Походу Дракман видит все сквозь призму феминизма.
    Концовка в духе, перебить кучу немцев и в итоге оставить Гитлера с Евой Браун. Да вы ебнулись???
    А где мораль?Возлюби врагов как друзей ближних? Это игра или Библия? Да даже если и так то нахера убивать кучу людей и оставлять в живых первопричину всех бед?

    Мир катится к чертям со своей толерантностью. Запомните, будет время когда у гетеро прав будет меньше чем у пидоров. У черных прав будет больше чем у остальных рас, а Путин все еще останется президентом.

    이 게임은 PC(Political Correctness) 때문에 악평을 받는것이 아니다. 게임의 제작진들은 본인의 게임이 악평을 받는 이유가, 유저들이 교육받지 못했고 성차별주의자 이기 때문이라고 생각해선 안된다. 세상사람들은 타인의 의견과 성적취향에 큰 관심을 가지지 않는다. 그저 그들이 내게 피해를 주지 않는다면 그들이 선택하는 대로 할 권리가 있다고 생각한다. 그러나 이 게임은 스토리의 개연성과 주인공의 동기, 불쾌함, 대부분의 이야기가 우연으로 진행됨, 1편의 주인공들을 존중하지 않고 깨부신 것등으로 인해 1편을 사랑해 왔던 유저들의 기대를 부숴버렸다. 부숴진 기대에 유저들은 반발하게 된다. 조엘이 죽으면 안된다고 말하는 것은 틀렸다. 사람은 누구나 죽고 조엘 또한 수없이 죽여왔으니까 그러나
    애비는 수 많은 사람들을 죽인다. 그러나 그 업보를 받지는 않는다.
    라스트 오브 어스의 1편을 사랑한 이들을 존중했다면, 라스트오브 어스 1의 기대를 품고 2를 구매해준 유저들에 대한 존중이 있었다면 아무런 쓸모도 없이 죽였어야 했는가 라는 생각이 든다. 이야기에서 중요한 역할을 하고 그로 인해 죽게되었다면 사람들은 이해했을 것이다.
    게임을 구매하는 것은 정치적 올바름을 예찬하는 평론가가 아니다. 게임을 구매하고 당신의 게임을 응원하게 되는 것은 '플레이어'들이다 플레이어들을 존중하지 않고 그들이 증오하게 만든다는 당신의 노력은 성공했을지는 모른다. 그러나 앞으로 나우티독의 게임과 그 개발진들에 대해 유저들은 기대하지 않을 것이다. 그렇게 된다면 양측 모두가 불행해지는 것이다.

    I have to kill the enemies to go forward, but at the end I say that revenge is meaningless. However, players need a reason to move forward as the main character of the game. However, the game was not only denied the purpose itself, but also the purpose itself.
    This game is not criticized for PC (Political Correctness). The creators of the game shouldn't think that the reason their game gets bad reviews is because users aren't educated and are sexist. People in the world do not care much about the opinions and sexual orientation of others. I just think they have the right to do whatever they choose if they don't hurt me. However, this game broke the expectations of users who had loved the first part because of the probabilities of the story, the main character's motives, discomfort, most of the stories proceeded by chance, and the one who broke without respecting the main characters. Users will react to the broken expectations. It is wrong to say that Joel should not die. Everyone has died, and Joel has been killed countless times.
    Abby kills a lot of people. But it doesn't take that karma.
    If you respected those who loved the first part of the Last of Earth, if you were expecting the name of Last of Earth 1 and expressed respect for the users who purchased 2, should you have killed the protagonist without any use? People would have understood if they had played an important role in the story and died.
    The person who buys the game is not a critic who advocates political correctness. It's the'players' who buy the game and cheer on your game. Your efforts to make players'hate' without respecting players may have been successful. However, in the future, users will not expect the game of NAUGHTYDOG and its developers. I can't understand how many complain that Joel dies. Yes, he was a main character in the first part and he was also a good and fun team together with Ellie. It honestly hurt my heart when he died, but Ellie was the most important person in this game from the beginning. You live in a post apocalyptic world. there are almost never happy ends and you live with the idea that you could die every day. It's like Neil is having a threesome with us and the critics, but all he wants to do is fondle the critics with his progressive values, so we're just left to toss ourselves off. I've seen the Halo franchise get butchered in recent years but not nearly as badly as this.
    Terrible game, do not buy.

No I am not a fan of Joel’s death, it feels so out of character for him to give his name out and trust strangers compared to the first game. Graphics are amazing and I really enjoyed the gameplay, voice acting was alright don’t believe people saying it was terrible when it wasn’t. How ever I did enjoy seeing abbys story arc surprise surprise(sorry I have an open mind). BUT when playing as Abby in the boss fight against Ellie, wtaf??!??! you can’t expect us to want to fight a character we love, so many time during the fight I wouldn’t press square during the QuickTime events because I didn’t want to do anything to Ellie, nor did I try to fight her, I got Abby shot multiple times before realising I have to fight her. Alright I could go on forever about what this game does right and wrong a lot more wrong but this was going to be a 7/10 for me, until the ending, the flashback scene was nice made my eyes tear up but then it cuts back and j ends w her walking off, are ye serious?!? Would have been way better if another 10-20 min was added to see the aftermath of her returning to dina, tommy, JJ and all that but no, hence the 5/10. Would I recommend this game?     The game was beautiful...but thats about it. The story was absolutely atrocious and poorly put together. It basically took the first game and threw out all the character development for the sake of Neil Druckmann’s personal desires.

I love all the flashback and interaction between Joel and Ellie, because these are the characters we've been through in the first game, we already built a connection with these two characters. But at the mid of the game when the game force us to play as Abby. I stopped playing, because I couldn't get through it. I get what the game try to do here, they want us to see things in different angle, put us in her shoes. But I really can't, all I can see is these people done horrible things to someone we love, at that point, I already checked out of the game, I couldn't listen to their dialogue. I think Naughty Dog expect too much of me, sorry, I cannot be that bigger person.… Expand

    Total disappointment. I'm sick to death of these "cinematic" wannabe games that slow things to a snail's pace with the constant backstories and flashbacks and cutscenes. Meanwhile the gameplay is just another also-ran cover shooter that is mostly on rails. Don't believe the hype!

    Absolutely disgusting story, characters make no sense from what they were in the first game. Ending is shallow and removes all feeling from a person, graphics are nice, gameplay is okay but the main selling point of the game is absolutely terrible.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i honestly think the best part of the game is the first couple minutes because it showed ellie and Joel's relationship continue to grow, especially when he started playing that guitar, it made me think of playing the original for the first time again.i cant believe they killed off Joel for the shock value. the whole bonding between the characters is what made the first game so great, but after seeing what they did to Joel, i was disgusted, i want nothing to do with this game. the only reason i'm giving this a 2/10 is because of the amazing graphics, sound design and the first couple minutes of the game. a story driven game is worth nothing if the story upsets its fans like this.… Expand

    If you haven't played part 1, then part 2 is a solid 4/10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I consider the 1st game one of the greatest ever made, after playing this game for 3 hours so far, i can see it being held in the same regard. The animations, the interactions, the art design and graphic fidelity, despite the 30 fps on ps4 pro, doesn't matter, coming from a high end pc gamer. This game is a masterpiece, i haven't played a game w/ this much detail before. I feel for the crunch the team who designed this must have gone through, but nonetheless, it is a milestone.

    With that said, when i heard the game (through leaks and previews) would be focused around lesbian Ellie, and trans Abby - it felt like a let down. Not because I have an issue playing as a lesbian character as a white 40 something male, but because it feels like virtue signaling to shoehorn identity politics in to a video game. This is a bias on my part admittedly, but i can assure you as an open-minded, non partisan person, the games story is handled with grace, nothing is force fed down your throat; the relationship that Ellie has seems authentic and real, tasteful, and honestly her orientation comes up very minimally so far. Also, Abby is not trans, and even though she kills a beloved character, it honestly didn't bother me as once you get to play at her before she kills Joel, you are able to empathize with her character.

    The game is great so far. This game, like the last, does feel harrowing at just about all times, and that is due to the investment you have with the characters through the excellent story telling; it make the stakes feel that much higher.

    The review bombing is incredibly lame; but i am not surprised due to the enormous divide in this country. Hate on the game all that you want, but i assure you, you will be missing out on a huge achievement in video game play design, art direction and technological sophistication.

    Only being a few hours in, I won't give it a 10 quite yet, but suspect it will be deserving of one when finished.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
