    A great example of how great work of programmers, designers and actors can be ruined by one person.
    I really enjoyed the gameplay, visuals and even the plot of this game. But some of the moments were really disgusting. And this was enough to cross out all the positive emotions.

    This was a terrible, awful, and disgusting game. So bad I took it to my local gun club and all the members at the club shoot it to pieces with 20/12 gauges. The story is awful, the fandom is toxic waste, and the mechanics/performance are about as good as fallout 76

But with all the review bombing that's bringing the score up Im trying to balance it out. This game was very disappointing with how they decided to go with the story. You only enjoy playing the first few hours until your beloved character gets killed by one of the characters you sill be forced to play as for the rest of the game. This game was an absolute piece of garbage despite it having a beautiful scenary and accessible gaming features. Had the story been properly written it would desserve a 10 in my books but as it is this game should have never been made and only serves to further other peoples political agenda. Don't buy this game unless you get it from a second person like ebay because it would be better to not give these arrogant jerks (cough cough neil druckman) any more of our moneh.… Expand

    Have not noticed any changes in graphics.     The only reason I gave this gave a rating above a 0 is because of the graphics and animation. Those are the best I've ever seen on a console game before, but if I am reviewing about story, its a 0 from me dawg. I honestly dont know what went on over at Naughty Dog with this game, if you are expecting the same type of story, character ark, forget about it. The name is what sells this POS.

    TLOU2 is an absolute masterpiece, it continues perfectly from the first game and drags you through an intense , yet interesting story line.     I respect everyone's opinion ... No matter positive or negative. You can argue about the game ... no question about it! For me personally, it was the biggest disappointment of the PS4 era. Technically, the game was great. But with the story? Not even in the league of part 1. The characters you have learned to love were treated in part 2 unworthily.     Can't say its better than the first installment. Because it makes the first even better. It completes the story making both games merge into one. A great but heavy experience analysing the worst and best aspects of human nature. A must play for all fans of story driven games. For a real survival experience I would suggest the hardest difficulty options. The lower ones are way too generous.

Except for the stealth, they somehow decided sneaking past was not acceptable anymore and you're forced to kill basically everyone to survive the transition to the next area. Weird, but OK. They also tried to make give Abby-Lev relationship as much weight as the original duo, Joel-Ellie, but failed miserably first and foremost because that relationship developed in the span of three days or so, and that's kind of unrealistic. Abby going on a killing spree against the people she'd been living with most of her life, to protect a kid she's just met from a faction she's been conditioned to hate and trained to kill is definitely the cherry on top of this mess of a story. The pacing was all over the place, leaving you on a cliffhanger for almost half of the game. Characters making stupid and highly questionable choices, as if they forgot what a world they're living in and in complete discord with what they were in the first game is a lazy way to try and make the point of the story valid. Story aside, this game was extremely unenjoyable simply because they got rid of the stealth I loved so much in the first game, that allowed you to choose whether to sneak past or kill the threats. Extremely disappointed by part 2 and the time I spent playing this was 100% wasted.… Expand

    10/10; он очень длинный и интересный сюжет который описывает персонажей сначала с одной стороны а потом с другой стороны, вот например Эбби, её все возненавидели потому что она убила Джоела, но она его убила изо того что он убил отца Эбби спасая Элли от смерти в больнице. Весь сюжет крутится во круг мести за кого то, Эбби отомстила за своего отца убив Джоела, а Элли хотела отомстить Эбби за убийство Джоела. Всю игру нам показывали как персонажи игры пытались друг другу отомстить за ковото, и Нилл Дракмен показывает то что если ты над чем-то зацикливается над чем-то то нужно останавливаться потому что это может прести к проблемам например со здоровьем, в игре это месть Элли всю игру шла к Эбби этобы этомстить ей за смерть Джоела и в этоге когда Элли шла вместе с Диной, Элли по дороге убила всех друзей Эбби, и всё это эз за месте к Эбби, и в этоге Элли оставила Эбби в живых потому что у Эбби остался только Лев.

    4.Персонажи

    10/10; Персонажи очень вырожено показыны в игре, Элли покоза взрослой вечно недовольной женщищиной; Джоел который стал более мудрым и спокойным папой для Элли; Дина которая хочет хорошей жизни и счастливой семьи; Джеси который вечно крутится вокруг других чтобы кому-то помочь; Томми который крутится постоянно с женой налаживая порядок в семье, ну и токдалие.

Yes, he was a beloved character and still has a near & dear spot in my gaming heart, but he really deserved his death. Ever since the end of the first one when he lied to Ellie, I knew it was coming. He became the villain & set it all in place. What they did with this game was impressive on all fronts, from the story & characters to the upgraded and elevated graphics & gameplay from the first game (which everybody loved but somehow complain about now with the 2nd when it’s literally the same execution, twice as refined with more versatility & options in combat.) The next lie is that Abby is Transexual. No. She’s a straight women who trains extensively in the gym to get a warriors physique in the sick world she lives in. You boys just aren’t grown enough to enjoy female characters you aren’t attracted to. All In all. The hate this game receives is **** criminal and I highly suggest getting the upgrade for it on PS5. Engaging, thought & emotion provoking, grotesque experience worth playing through. 10 out of 10.… Expand

With acting that’ll make you melt, an incredibly detailed and gorgeous world and an absolute revolutionary story, The Last of Us became an instant classic. After years and years of waiting for the sequel to this groundbreaking title, it’s finally here - and it’s glorious.

    The incredible voice acting is back, and it’s really Ashley Johnson as Ellie, and Laura Bailey as Abbey who completely destroy every single scene they’re in. There are so many constantly changing and evolving motifs (such as the guitar) that run beautifully throughout the story, and writing that challenges any blockbuster movie. The graphics, animations and sound design are easily the best I’ve seen in any video game. The gameplay completely elevates and annihilates that original’s, with an infinite increase in variety in how you approach different missions. But really it’s not these things that people are mad about. So what did I think about the story? It’s absolutely fantastic. Now, I think everybody knew Joel was gonna die. But it’s not until you see it that it really makes an impact. That scene is so brutal and heartbreaking, but never have I felt so emotionally attached to a character in any form of entertainment. The emotional connection that you build with Ellie in this game is groundbreaking. It felt like anything she felt, I felt, and the same with abbey. And so after that I wanted revenge, I wanted to kill those **** that killed Joel. But then halfway through the game they do something completely revolutionary - they make me play as the person who killed Joel. Now this to me is the greatest achievement of the Last of us: making me sympathize with Abbey and making me realize that everyone is the hero of their own story. Abbey’s part of the story is not quite as airtight as Ellie’s, but it’s really the writing, and some incredible scenes (like the one against Tommy) that made me love her. In the final battle between Ellie and Abbey, I feel like the game gave me everything I needed to make me want both to survive.

It feel like your playing a game as a pedophile chaseing children at times, it makes you just feel dirty.     This game is a great example of bad story telling at it's finest, just because you watch a few episodes of the walking dead doesn't mean you can write the perfect story. While playing the game I noticed how very useless some mechanics are in the game and how brain dead stupid some characters behave in the story.     The Graphics are flawless and the sound design is amazing, it's too bad its meshed in with the story holding it all back.

    If you want a better game to play with a better story I would recommend Nioh 2, Ghost of Tsushima and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Don't waste your time and money like I did.    … Expand

    The gameplay is too enjoyable, I could spend hours playing without getting bored. The narrative does have a couple of defects, but the evolution of the characters are of another level, it feels very different from the first game, without leaving behind its own magnificent essence.
    Is one of the best game ever, and probably of the year, i'm more than satisfied.

    In comparison with Part I the last chapter suffers from routine gameplay. Sometimes it’s even boring. You get tired with looting, killing and ones again.
    The whole story is overextended. In the end you are willing to cut it off, stop narration and let it come to some point. And the point is no point at all.     Pour ma part The Last of Us Part 2 est un chef d'œuvre. Le jeux est magnifique la direction artistique est a tomber par terre. Le scénario est incroyable on dirais que le joueur contrôle sont propre film. Je recommande fortement le jeux.

    Gameplay was solid, story was great at first but it looks like somebody at naughty dog let their egos get in the way and wrote a forced **** of a plot. Didnt finish the game.

The game made me angry, filled with hate and sadness. about abby and the devs. maybe that is what they wanted to do. and they succeeded. and then they let me know the villain better. also a sad, depressed, damaged character, who just wanted revenge and justice. finding her humanity in her enemies.it also seems like the devs were mocking the player, that abby gets abilities that joel used in the first game. shivers, moving blanks and ladders,
    there are just a few minor storytelling issues which seem dumb, like a pregnant women is going to a patrol or smth. in her 8month. what?
    on a review i watched, someone said, they not only killed joel, they also killed ellie from the first game. and yes, thats the case. which i have to say, that takes balls and they are paying the price for such a move. they could make many more games, where ellie is the sweet and bratty heroine. and they get easily their good score of their fans.
    they build characters that are mostly likable and relatable and brought them into hell. kinda a place where joel was at the start of the first game. but at the end, they managed to break out again. abby did in the theater and later ellie at the beach. i am not surprised that people are angry about that, but for me it was a brave move and takes balls to do that.
    i liked all new characters and hated old ones. tommy became at the end an absolutely unlikable person after all the time he was just so supportive and kind. which is not a bad thing. people change. i liked to follow them to those transitions.
    i cant not like a game that gives me all kind of emotions like no other game.
    we already have a totally good woman we follow to her end in the game walking dead season 1-4. clementine is most of the good and tries to do the right thing and is just a heroine. we already know such story. i really like that this didnt happen with ellie, but quite the opposite. she became the villian.

    i cant say i loved playing the game, and i cant say i hated playing it. it is a new experience for me and that i cant denied and thats why the story is for me one of the best.

    also graphics are fantastic and the gameplay is diverse and taking out enemies in areas can turn out smoothly or just into a horrible shootout until the last bullet. only the quicktime events are just unnecessary. just square or just triangle. why not make it more complicated, instead of smashing one button, use a combination fast enough to finish it, or use the controller much more, moving around or smth.i am sure that wouldnt take too much work.

    it is not a masterpiece, it isnt perfect, it has flaws, in the story, in gameplay. but overall. it is amazing and just for that i bought a 2nd hand ps4 to play TLOU remastered first and then the 2nd part.    … Expand

    TLOU2 has amazing graphics, great gameplay, absolutely horrible story. They completely destroy the characters and setting you loved, and try to shove down your throat horrible new characters that I not only don't care about but despise.     Worst game I've ever played in my life. If you weren't a fan of this game or haven't played the first , you'd enjoy it a bit more, but would still hate the game due to its objectively terrible story and barely upgraded new combat mechanics.

    Well, they left aside key elements of the previous game. Not so much improvent in gameplay as was shown in E3. It is close as an "ok" game, just close.
    Storytelling it's quite poor compared to it's predecessor.

    Absolutely one of the greatest games I have ever played, all the criticism it got was extremely exaggerated and biased, the story is beautiful and astonishing. TLOU is a grim dark story, and it delivers that in a shockingly profound way...

    After playing the game twice one thing I understood is the makers completely failed to make us empathize with the Abby's character, Story was an absolute let down.     The gameplay is just as good if not better than the last of us, the story made me want to vomit,
    The characters are unlikable, the beginning scenes turn the uncomfortable levels so far beyond the uncomfortable scenes in the first game there is no return to typical. The entire game is marred by awful uneasiness.
    I didn't believe it was possible to like Negan in walking dead after his introduction but somehow JDM managed to charm his way into a likable character after a few seasons. DO NOT EXPECT THIS OF ABBY! She is unlikable through the entire game and does not once do anything that makes you forget how awful she is and how brutally she killed Joel, You feel physically ill when you actually have to play as her again and hate every moment of it.
    I'm so glad this game has bombed as badly as it did. Maybe we will be lucky enough not to get another one. It's astonishing how badly a developer can drop the ball on a franchise.    … Expand

I feel like this could all be avoided if the writers gave these characters more time in the oven. They had loads of potential but the writers didn't deliver.  The acting on the other hand is very amazing and I think it is safe to say that this game has the best acting ever in a video game. If the story was as good as the game. I would have no complaints right now. Gameplay wise it is TLOU1's gameplay but more polished. No new bells and whistles. The new features they added are rarely used. However, the gameplay is still satisfying. It still gives you an epic feeling after clutching your way out of a group strong enemies with little to no ammo or weapons to fight back with. There is a major pacing problem in the gameplay for the first 6 hours or so. The first 6 hours are basically a long tutorial without that much gameplay. It did have an amazing story for half of that time but more gameplay would be appreciated. This game is the textbook example of a wasted potential.… Expand

    The Last of us part 2 is superior to the original game in every possible way. I played part I and I really enjoyed it, but in comparison to part II, it just feels "inferior". I have now finally platinumed Part II and I sincerely hope that a part III will come ot life. Naughty Dog did make a masterpiece of a game

It let us think a two different character perspective which is really in a different level. I know how frustrated on Joel’s death but this part 2 talks about Ellie and Abby - are two sides of a coin. The way they feel are similar. Well, Abby has its own the Last of Us....
    I think my minor issues of the game is the pacing of it. Its sometimes confusing but its like a puzzle that we need to connect it from our own. Overall, I really do like this game.    … Expand

They took a gamble and in my opinion, lost that bet. Oh and the gameplay, graphics, soundtrack, audio, and actor performances were unprecedented. Really good.

    I like that they did not go with a traditional form of story telling. Instead of the typical “hero’s journey”, they did something completely different and I respect them for it. I loved the idea of a tragic ending where ultimately, no one wins. Our characters who we love give in to an emotion that we should all hate - revenge - and allow it to ruin their lives. A perfect testament to the human condition. It was not a typical feel good, story book ending. It resembled real life consequences of actions (in this case post apocalyptic).

    The negative:

    Wow, this could have been so much better. The story was in fact a let down, considering what they could have done. After listening to Neil druckman talk about it on podcasts, it sounds like they made way too many revisions from the initial base. Their original ideas actually sounded way better than the final product. Playing as Abby was great, and again, I get what they were going for but it could have been done so much better. And they definitely did crow bar in some of their social ideology. Again, I respect that, but at what point is it pandering? I love giving certain groups of people platforms of recognition and empowerment but, it felt so forced.    … Expand

    The narrative was one of the best i have EVER seen in a game . Abbys caracter was somethin just out of this word . But the story telling was with no doubt the best part of the game .

    As a story, it's a series of good ideas and characters that are muddled and inconsistent. As a game, it's a technical marvel with the most realistic graphics and fluid mechanics I've ever seen. It's a shame that the story is as botched as it is.
