    Incredible graphics, incredible story. Had a profound effect on me just like the first game did. Ignore the trolls giving this game 0, they're triggered by the thought of being even a step outside their comfort zone. 10/10

    The game is very promising for the first 5 mins and then becomes ruined with disgusting writing and pitiful attempts at surprising the audience. This game spits on the great character writing of the first game. Horribly disappointing.

I have just finished the entire game before anyone says anything great gameplay some of the character I love Dina great Ellie and joel of course or amazing jesse is ok to. I'm rating this game a 7 out of 10 before the story is good but 3 changed things could of made the game for most likely not just me but for everyone else one change the way joel dies I mean come on u could of done way better so disrespectful 2 don't make us play as Abby me personally shes ok but I will still always have the hate for her for killing joel if I played as ellie the whole time already would of made it better for me 3 ending come on the whole game was trying to find and kill abby and once it happens we just let her live if they could be setting up a 3rd game witch I am not oppseesed to if they do it right if they would change those 3 things game of the year.… Expand

    This "game" was horrible. If you enjoyed the game The Last Of Us, do not play this game. Pretend this abomination doesn't exist. It is almost like the developers said "Who is our target audience, and how can we just **** on them?" This "game" has good graphics but the story will leave you uninterested and leave you with no connection to the characters or what happens to them. 0/10.

    When you shoehorn in themes nobody wants, it sours the whole game. Yeah, mechanics were good enough, it looked great, no real game breaking bugs, but its not relatable, and forces in a topic that has no value other than to appease the target group. I can't say I enjoyed it, sorry.

    Man what happened... These must be new writers. Story was awful with no emphasis on character development. Extremely contrived. At least the graphics were great too bad the AI is still stupid.

    An intense and amazing experience from beginning to end. Truly masterful storytelling, dialogue, gameplay and visuals. A must play with strong interesting characters. Ellie is even slightly more bad ass than the first one :)

    I haven’t played this game (Because I am downloading it), but I think we should think that Naughty Dog made his best. We should appreciate that they make games for us to play because if not, she wouldn’t have this awesome games to play. We need no appreciate their work because this isn’t an easy thing to do, and it costs a lot of money and time.

It ties in well with the first game and I ended up liking all (well, almost all) of the new characters. It did upset me terribly to see what eventually happened to characters I loved from the first game, but I understand why the tragedies that befell them happened in the manner that they did. This is a harsh and unforgiving world where there is a reaction to every action and the line between good and bad is blurred repeatedly. Does this game have a political agenda informed by a feminist, gay, trans, woke agenda? Sure. Does that bother me? In some ways yes and in some ways no. Did they kill off one of my all-time favorite characters who happens to be the antithesis of all those things? Yes and graphically. Was I happy with all the narrative choices Naughty Dog made? No. But this is a damn good game with a damn good story and I enjoyed it immensely because it made me feel a wide array of emotions, and, simply put, it entertained me.     This game is fantastic. The gameplay is immersive the story about love, loss and revenge is perfectly told. It is so much fun. All the bad ratings are from people, that don't agree with some of Naughty Dogs decisions about the story and the way to tell it.

Con un comienzo que ilusiona con su jugabilidad que es increíble sus gráficas que demuestran un gran trabajo por parte de Naughtydog la cuál hace ver si dedicación a el y la calidad del estudio con un mundo de una de mis franquicias favoritas una que me hizo mas de 20 veces pasarlo de todas formas y no solo eso fue el primer juego que entrego unos personajes tan memorables tan tan impactantes en todas sus estampas una historia magnífica incluso superando a todo lo que había jugado hasta ese momento .
    Con esa ilusión ese hype incluso con las supuestas filtraciones y aclaraciones del estudio mantenía esa euforia por el este gran titulo.
    Pero llegó ese horrible momento en el que sin más sin nada nos dan la muerte más triste y sin sentido de Joel pero me explico (COMO DIABLOS ALGUIEN QUE ES EL PERSONAJE MAS FRIO CALCULADOR QUE ESTUVO EN LOS DOS LADOS PUDO LLEGAR A SER LA PERSONA MAS AMABLE DEL MUNDO?) Cómo pudo ser esto y ok es el caso cambio por qué estando en Jackson se ablando x, pero estos WOLFS torturaron a JOEL tenían miedo de que los siguiesen por qué dejan vicios a Ellie y a Tommy ( es que se tentaron el corazón por que solo querían a JOEL) en Seattle atrapan a Ellie y la tienen ya para matarla y se pone a discutir algo que se supone que es obvio? QUE VANA VENGARSE POR JOEL.
    Bueno es que tenían razón para así ver cuantos más no se hay muchos fallos.
    Que solo resaltan esa muerte a lo tonto y apresurada de este el y no me vengan con que su muerte nos quiere retratar la muerte de una persona x.
    Cuando es un icono de VÍDEOJUEGOS, bueno nos quieren enseñar que los actos que hacemos nos siguen siempre. Ok lo entiendo pero por qué no poner esa muerte al final o en media historia ? Al final ? Hubiese sido un final excelente su muerte y creo que nos hubiese enseñado más ese punto que se supone que nos quieren dar a entender que siempre nuestros actos tienen repercusiones.

Finally, all the writers of survivor 2 failed to match the game and failed to live up to the efforts of all the previous writers. Yes, all. I'm a man who seldom speaks, but after seven years, I can't accept the result. At last, the pattern of the survivors is like this? Why can doomsday 1 be a masterpiece? Is it because of its playfulness? Is it because of its quality? Or is it because a girl with long legs and good figure is wandering there? No, it's because in the end of a desolate world, when people are gradually polished into wild animals, we see the disappearing human nature from Joel and Ellie, which is so lovely and touching in the end. In the end, Joel killed the people in the hospital and rescued Ellie, which was not purely an emotional expression. It's a confrontation between individuals and groups. It is in the context of the end of the collective amplification, the profound discussion of human nature, that the end of the United States sealed a God. So the theme of Joel's killing all the way is love, which is not too much. But what about two? It is the theme level of the third line movie. That's the core of what doomsday 1 wants to say. Joel's spiritual heritage, I didn't see it in Ellie, I even saw a retreat in her. It's easy to forgive, but it's hard to revenge. The end of America 2 has reversed this, because they acquiesced that Ellie is Superman, but Ellie is just a little girl in the players' mind. The theme and growth are not well depicted, even the only bright spot of doomsday has not been grasped. First ND bait and switch you into thinking Joel was gonna stick around the game only to kill him off in the first 2 hours by a nobody who's life he just saved. Not only did Joel and Tommy act like **** idiots, they don't even think that the strangers have ill intent. The **** was all that about not trusting people in the first game, then? Then Ellie. They turned her from a witty and likeable character into a sociopathic piece of **** killing and torturing anyone she can only to not kill Abby in the end because of a bull**** flashback.     It's a transcendental game where console users without a game will never taste, I'll cry with emotion asking the game not to end so much the feeling of pleasure that I feel from playing this masterpiece, while they will cry in anger knowing that Mama Sony is for years light ahead and will snatch hundreds of prizes and engage 10 million PS5 in its pre-sale with its consumers waiting for the third game.

I would wait until it goes on sale or possibly save your money for another game. The game however runs smoothly and looks amazing with GREAT visual gameplay.     I'm excited to play this game. The characters seem very interesting, and to be honest, I'm glad to see some diversity. One of the things I've noticed over the years is that when my husband and I play games, he can find a character he enjoys pretty easily. I can sometimes find an interesting female character in a game, but she's typically over sexualized. Which is not as much fun to play,I'm excited to play this game. Since the Gameplay is lacking, the Story really needed to be phenomenal. (Like the first game). Instead we are left with a character you dont sympathize with, and the idea that the characters you love are the bad guys. It tried to hard to be deep, subversive, and Edgy. It doesn't have to be sunshine and Roses, but the game tries so hard to be M-Rared that it sacrifices story. They bring in cute dogs to have a fan favorite brutally slaughter it, they kill off a main character like hes nothing, they beat Joel ti death for a reason to broad to mean anything, and completely undermine the theme presented in the game. If a the main idea is that, revenge cycles never end, then you should stick to that idea and have revenge cycles not end. Then the character you hate has several flash backs that turns mediocre idea, into an obvious shoe in. If she really was planned, then she should have appeared at the hospital, if she is this christ figure the game makes her out to be, then why dont I care for her? I see many people saying Criticizing the game makes you a bigot. Let me just say, the representation in this game is great, and doesnt effect the game in any way. It's not treated as a big deal, which is good, it makes it seem like what it its, a normal thing, not some HUGE deal. I like that, but the way the game ends is just depressing, it's edgy for no reason. It hands you this **** idea, that you are a bad person, who deserves a **** life, even though you didnt make the decisions. It's like telltale punishing you but in a game where the decisions are pre-made. In the end, the game seems pointless, there to send a message that is empty. It's not depressing, its not deep, it's just a waste of resources and money. The idea employees were abused is already bad enough, but now their work is being **** on by a horrible story? Pathetic. The game is full of unnecessary Sex, and violence, but lacks the bloodlust when you wanna see it. They'll show a murderered dog, bleeding and whimpering, they'll show Joel getting his head smashed, Ellie losing a thumb, Dina being brutalized, Jessie being shot, Tommy losing an eye, but wont let us watch Ellie Kill Abby's Crew in detail, or even let us kill Abby in the end. I dont care about Abby, and that's not anyone's fault but the story. She's poorly written, and since she quickly kills a fan favorite, its laughable that they think well grow to like her. Imagine being forced to kill people as hitler, then getting called a bot or bigot for not enjoying the character. It's also extremely funny how they try to make us feel bad for Abby's (Forgettable) crew, but everytime one was killed I giggled and felt good, was I not supposed to enjoy that? Cause I really did! Tommy sniping that guy was AWESOME. It was amazing to see! Then the end has Abby suddenly worse for wear, in a christ like position, that's when I lost it. I dont CARE that she got hurt. We spent all that time with her and all i could think was "hehehe Nice". She is a ****ty protagonist and a ****ty antagonist, the last of us was built on the father daughter relationship, it is a mistake to remove that component. It can work, but I doubted it would. The revenge story is only made worse by the laughable ending. Abby is let go, Ellie is single and cant even play guitar. Its edgy for people who dont like being edgy, its deep for people who have only ever stood in puddles, it's a story for people who have only read Alphabet books. It would be one thing to be unsatisfactory, but the lack of understanding its fans, and message, is another thing. Dont expect me to feel bad, don't expect compassion for a character we never cared about! Abby is very Similar to negan from the walking dead, there are 3 VERY different things they do that make him so loveable, 1.)Negan makes up for his actions, 2.) He does get punished in prison and a slit throat, 3.) They dont expect you to love him at all, the fans CHOSE TO after he was fleshed out, after he killed a side character; and after his intentions were made clear. He did it to neutralize a threat, Abby did it cause she was mad, and she gets away with it. Thank GOD I borrowed the game, it is a mess that (much like the star war sequels) focuses too much on being shocking. If you watch all the cut scenes at 2x speed and never think of it again? 10/10 game But the second you start to put any thought into the story, it all comes undone, 7 years of painstaking work wasted on some game with an identity crisis, you turned the last of us into a teen novel, the same type you mocked in the 1st game. When Van Gogh started, he painted the hands of the peasants, he took a risk to make his art, he took time to think of the theme to present, the last of us tried to think, but stumbled and fell so hard on its face it ruins the franchise as a whole.     Gameplay and visuals:
    The sequel nicely builds on top of the gameplay of the first game and adds some nice new features like 'squeeze-throughs', prone, dodge mechanic alongside new crafting recipes like suppressors and explosives arrows and a bunch of other meaningful upgrades that give a nice sense of progression. When in stealth, there definitely is a sense of tension sure, but it never truly feels enjoyable. Stealth kill animations are long and drawn out and quite cumbersome. In this part, the game relies on the sense of tension to keep you engaged. However, when things go sideways, that's where the gameplay shines, because then the tension and anxiety is dialled to 11. You have to evade and flee your enemies, or choose to engage them in firefights and fistfights which all feels incredibly grounded and visceral. It's a hell of an adrenaline kick.
    However, if you thought the gameplay of the first game was alright, you'll find the gameplay of the second game an improvement, but not something that will change your mind.

    Overall, the gameplay loop itself can range from being mediocre to highly engaging at times, but it best serves the purpose of complementing the game's grounded nature, and to bring forward the brutality of the violence you experience. Unlike other people claiming 'this game makes you feel bad for killing people', I did not feel that at all. The way the NPCs and AI interacts only serves to keep the game grounded and feel realistic, but it never evoked any sympathy from me towards them nor the dogs that I had to put down.
    The graphics are phenomenal as always, the animations are just absolutely mind-blowing, the environment this time is much larger and varied; basically, the production value of this game is insane.

    Now, the story.
    The story is one of the biggest dumpster fire I have ever seen. Neil Druckmann manages to do an astounding disservice to our beloved characters from the first game, whilst simultaneously abandoning everything that made the first game so amazing. The characters themselves are uninteresting, even though they have some great voice acting, their motives and behaviour at times borderline being insane and completely unstable. Any character that you end up liking in the slightest, suffers a terrible fate.
    This game just feels dark and depressing for no reason, it has no meaning other than making you feel bad needlessly. Unlike the first game which, although was also quite bleak, there were genuine moments of warmth and solace, moments that were heart-warming, peaceful, and that allowed for some beautiful character development. Speaking of which, it's almost impossible to find any real character development in this game.

    After Joel is killed like a dog by Abby, Ellie sets out to get her revenge, to find the WLF soldiers that played a part in his murder and take them down. Joel's death was handled so poorly, and executed in a way that was so appalling, that it is equivalent to spitting in the face of the fans of the first game.
    Oh but that's not all, soon, you'll be sending a sizeable amount of the game controlling Abby, experiencing her past as well as the present. The game desperately wants to make you empathise with her character, but it falls so pathetically flat and on the contrary, just enrages you even more. By the end of my time playing as her, I couldn't give a rat's ass about her or her friends.

    To make matters worse, when Ellie finally has a chance to kill Abby, she lets her go. I get that the game is trying to say that Ellie is fed up and traumatised by her quest of revenge, but it just comes up as stupid writing, considering Abby wouldn't have minded in caving Ellie's face in. So, in the end, it really was all for nothing.
    By the end, not only is Ellie left traumatised, she loses Dina, as well her connection to Joel.

    The flashbacks with Joel, are the best part of this game. When a dreaded narrative device such as a flashback outshines everything else in your game, that is only evident of the horrible writing and story of the game.

    For a game that is so heavy on its narrative, and cinematic storytelling, a horrible story cannot be saved by its gameplay, which is this game has gotten such a low score from me.

    This game is the proof that The Last of Us should have remained a stand-alone experience. Its funny how the first game, despite telling such a personal story of its characters, managed to leave the audience pondering over a much grander theme of humanity and survival, whereas the second game, whilst trying to do so much, conveys a contrived, overdone theme of 'cycle of revenge' (and that too extremely poorly).

    Joel and Ellie were undoubtedly the heart and soul of this franchise, and this game manages to obliterate both of these things.
