    It does play, but here we go. Sound - 7/10
    Stuff makes noise, nothing exciting. Voice acting is meh. Controls - 6/10
    Like the first game. But no real changes. Politics - 0/10

They killed off Joel in the first couple of hours in the game and they make you play as the person who killed him. The game is painfully slow and the gameplay isn’t really a step up from the first game besides being able to dodge attacks, but even that is flawed since you need to press the sprint button in order to dodge which is annoying.… Expand

    Creo que es el único juego donde se me a dificultado avanzar por culpa del protagonista, al momento de jugar con abby es una basura, intentan humanizar al personaje de cualquier forma, mi pregunta a es, ¿tanto les costaba hacer un personaje malo?     in terms of graphical aspect you cant find a better game on ps4 than tlou2 it is so detailed and beautiful that makes you wonder hey is this game really running on a 7 yo hardware?     Just completed it.... the game is good and well put together, it's a little tired now... but at least they have gotten rid of the input delay of TLOU and Uncharted. I just think the story is trash and based on stupid premise of the ending of the first game... it doesn't even have a pay off, just ends depressing.

    Brilliant game, people need to realize diversity isn't bad. Well written, solid story. Cinematically gorgeous and new features that flow well. Naughty Dog crushes it again. Hopefully there's a part 3.

After seeing Joel being brutally murdered, Ellie got angry and went to get revenge, although it failed but a year later, after hearing about Abby, she left her whole family to get revenge but then when she was about to finish purpose Joel "appears" and she forgives Abby? what? should at least add a few segments to show that Ellie was hesitant about whether to continue revenge or something like that? The end is absurd to the indescribable, after all if it is impossible to create a good ending like the first part to be remembered, then there is no need to make a disastrous end to achieve the same effect.… Expand

I didnt mind playing as Abby because everytime something bad happened to her I loved it. But I cant bekeive the ending, Ellie should have won that first fight or they shouldve given us a choice, She had weapons and everything but because the writing is so bad she didnt win.The second fight was comeplete garbage she shoudlve just ended her but no, 7 years of waiting just for that man, wow.     Very poor story and writing. Gameplay is good for the most part. Excluding open world sequences with nothing to collect or explore. Graphics are good. Thats all the good. It absolutely boggles the mind how they thought this was a well written story. I'd be embarassed if I wrote this story.

    The game was waiting for seven long years! The game turned out to be bad, to put it mildly, it is not a game, rather a political order (which could have been done better), everything is very hypertrophied, not serious! The start of the game is just disgusting, the finale is just awful! I just don’t believe that everything could turn out so bad, god ... just a pity for the money for this garbage.

Graphiquement au top, mais gameplay qui n'a pas évolué depuis le premier opus, je ne comprend vraiment pas les notes de la presse, le scénario est digne d'une série Netflix, les protagonistes on un QI d'huître, l'IA est à chier... Et cette fin, mon dieu... Un combat entre Ellie et Abby qui se solde par un match nul, Abby qui part tranquillement et Ellie qui retourne à la maison de Joël (qui meurt comme une merde en mode fragile alors que c'est Rambo dans le premier) mais ne peu plus jouer de guitare car elle a perdue 2 doigts pendant le combat, nul de chez nul de chez nul 20/20 ça ? J'aurais du suivre les conseils de Alu Car et Pierrus Maximus sur facebook, le jeu est à chier.… Expand

Seré sincero al empezar, aún no lo termino pero creo que me faltan pocas horas para completarlo, y con lo que llevo de juego creo que sería más que suficiente. La verdad el juego me está encantado como su apartado visual como su sistema de combate, pero la historia no deja mucho que desear, me atrevería a decir que en ese tema naugthy dogt si le faltó pero lo que hicieron es más que suficiente como para dejarme satisfecho, se que hay gente que solo puntúa mal el vídeojuego por el tema de la sexualidad de Elli y.... se me hace muy estupido eso ya que en la primera entrega eso se había confirmado y si solo le van a poner haté con eso es gente con muy poca inteligencia y falta de respeto ya que no tiene NADA de malo eso, es por eso que el mundo está como está corrupto, manipulado y con gente muy absurda. Y también hay otros como gente con otras consolas que solo viene a criticar por no tener el juego es solo gente que quieren que le hagan caso, o también es porque en vez de jugarlo se pone a ver gampleys y ya empiezan a critcar su historia.     Well, now on the second game, the father figure who is an expert survivor, behaved idiotically, clubbed to death by a lesbian, then you play the lesbian for hours. A really forced lgbt agenda there, and that's not even the worst part. If you want to know more, find some spoers online.

    Made you wonder how much the devs paid the reviewers to get this high ratings.

Given what he did in the first game Joel did a very horrific thing and I for one loved that they actually added a end for his actions yeah it saddened me but play through the rest of the game and you will get the bigger picture the story is just as incredible as the graphics or game play you just need to put your dummies back in and actually play the game and not quit after two hours!     Cinematic videogames don't evolve the same way movies do, so by the time I had a taste of the story it just felt like a movie I've seen a hundred times before just with uninspired, generic gameplay in-between. Looks real nice though.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only thing i liked from this game (Is this a game, tho?) is the graphics and atmosphere. That's it. The gameplay was just the same and there's nothing really innovative in this game. Only some great evolutions in combat, i would say. The gun fight is a bit clunky for me. And i found several bugs in my 25 hours of playing, which is really annoying.

    And this game's selling point is THE STORY... IT'S BY FAR THE WORST STORY I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN GAMING HISTORY. It's like a big middle finger to the fans of the first game! If you messed up your story in a story-driven game, the entire game will be ruined, no matter how good the gameplay and graphic is. And it's just your basic fan-fiction level of writing. The ending is very unfulfilling and terrible. Fails so hard because Neil really trying too hard to make this game different than the first game.

    And there's no likeable character here. Almost every character in this game is weak! Joel being unaware, Ellie portrayed as a cruel girl overtime, Tommy being inconsistent, Lev's back-story being unnecessary and so much more. Jesse might be the only character that i could say, decent. Lack of logic in decision making, Character's inconsistencies, forced agenda, weak build-up in their storytelling really burden this entire game.

    I don't really care about the negative hype around of the game. In gameplay level they fixed what annoyed me in the last game, in story level I got a rich, well worked, R-rated story and I'm grateful for it.

    Personally I love the game I love the 1st one and I love this one in it's own way, I dont give a damn about what any other reviews say, it's an amazing journey in my opinion and would highly reccomend it.

Also they try to push their agenda in the game. Thank you for that Neil Druckmann and Anita Sarkeesian. I hope you and the "new" Naughty Dog get fired and the old team come back.     I see that TLoU 2 shared the fate of Star Wars .. It is a pity to talk, the plot is a total bottom without even a small comparison with 1. They released one of the worst titles of this year.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'll start by saying that from a technical standpoint what they've managed to squeeze out of 7 year old hardware is phenomenal. The soundtrack and the fluidity of the games animations and character movement are top shelf also, however sadly for me this is where it ends.

    The story is incredibly poorly written and the ending made me question the whole point of it, and not in a good way. The treatment of some of the legacy characters is infuriating because of how they act completely differently from the first game. Joel and Tommy seem to have suffered from the worst case of amnesia recorded in human history and this is completely out of character and makes zero sense as they would never act the way they did in that certain scenario. Some of the dialogue used in game made me roll my eyes in disbelief ("Bigot sandwiches" and "Brainless brother duo") as its just bad and ultimately cringe-worthy.

    The newly added jump button is implemented badly and seems to be there as a filler but the combat has improved from the first one and the newly added vertical scenarios make some combat situations interesting. Crafting is identical to its predecessor with the addition of a silencer that can help greatly during battle although the bow is still the stealth weapon of choice.

    Sadly though in my opinion this game pales in comparison to its predecessor for its storytelling and character development and that's a damn shame. I really can't recommend this game for anything other than its visuals and audio but as we all know it takes more than a pretty paint job and a nice song to impress some people, myself included.    … Expand

But otherwise, the storyline is brutal. I didn't expect it to get so dark since the first part is mostly about Ellie's and Joel's relationship. If you don't like violence and extreme brutality, the this game is not for you. But otherwise I enjoyed killing everyone. I like that they added some new killing ways. And I think that people shouldn't be so mad at the game and the developers. I think its a beautiful experience.

    This review is only based on the first couple of hours of the game as I have stopped playning and likely will not continue. Like everyone else I have been looking forward to this game for at long time as i completely loved the first one. The Last of us 1 is proberly the best game i have ever played and it is not likely to be topped. Leading up to the release of part 2 I have avoided spoilers to the best of my ability and though I heard rumors of a lacking story and charcters i dismissed them and wanted to try the game witha open mind. At first i was so excited to be back in the world with charcters i missed and the stunning world naughty dog have built. But all my excitement quickly faded and i was left with nothing but grief and despair when Joel died in the starting moments of the game. Why oh why did you make that choice Naughty dog? Up untill i saw the tombstone i was still hoping that he somehow pulled through, hoping for a coma or anything that would save him but alas when the tombstone appeared all hope faded. I was left empty and with no purpose to continue. I played till i got inside Seattle but had no enjoyment or want to continue the story, I have now learned the ending of the story and now i have even less desire to finish the game. This game should have been so good even if you just did more like the first one maybe not a 10/10 but certently not a 3,6. Rest in peace Joel.    … Expand

    People have bombed the user rating of the game, either because they did not like something that happened quite early in the game, and chose not to give the rest of the game a chance. or they are angry since its an exclusive that they wont get to play.

    Listen to the real reviwers. I have just finished the game, and it is one of the best games of this generation. no doubt.

    I don't understand the hate of the character development. The thing a lot of choice driven games let you do is shape up the characters and events the way you like it. But with the last of us part 2 you are forced to accept the characters for who they are which even further engages you into the dark and emotional story that is involved.     I paid full price for this game and gods it’s horrible, the same lame repeatedly gameplay, graphics is good, but the facial animations of certain characters is horrible, and of course main problem is story which truly horrible piece of brown substance. Don’t waste your money and time, save your money for cyberpunk or any other game

    The characters felt so different that the characters I thought I knew, and I thought I loved, but turns out they are not who I thought they were after-all. The story is too dark and full of plot holes, I wanted to stop playing several times because I didn't want to continue, I didn't like what was happening. Naughty Dog made this into a game it didn’t need to be. It’s not the game fans were expecting, or one that fans wanted.

    I really wanted to love this game, but now I wish I had read the spoilers, I would have lowered my expectations and entered with a lot of caution. I feel my love for Naughty Dog and the Last of Us franchise has gone from Hero to near Zero.

    I hope they create a Last of Us 3, but pretend that this game never happened.

    The one good aspect of the game, graphically it looks above average, sadly everything else is below.

    The last thing I will say, is I am worried at how there can be such a huge difference between “Official reviews” versus real players. I did take a sneak peek at the Metacritic before playing the game to see the fantastic 96/100 from official reviewers. This increased my expectations. So when I finally played it and was shocked at the player experience. How can I be having such a bad time and really not enjoying the game, when the critics who loved playing this and gave it such great phrase? How can there be such a disconnect between review and consumer...

    Sadly I really cannot recommend this game. It's a total disappointment and not worth your time. Just watch a playthrough online and save your money. I wish I had.    … Expand

    It has been 7 years of waiting and it was worth it. It is a masterpiece with all the beautiful details and experiences that just stay in you. Everything about it perfect. Surely many won't be able to deal with its realistic aspects but then they should play a different genre and not a survival action game.
