    This game is insanely violent. Unnecessary gore makes this game a gore porn more than a zombie video game.

    The story seems to be created only to shock the player, using every possible way to make us uncomfortable. Letting a side a more knowledgeable character decisions we were used to see on the first part.     I cant understand all this **** comments that the Story is dump. This game has some big balls to have a Storytelling like that. I mean whats wrong with you. Elli is about 20 now. The time is over where we are Amazed by giraffes in a City cause we never see them before. The Story telling is great and the Charalters are dope.     Waiting for several years expecting I would be play another masterpiece after part I. The only thing I'm glad was I didn't spend a single buck on this disappointment. Thanks NaughtyDog!

    Absolute perfection. The developers paid attention to every detail and wrote an amazing story. This game is the confluence of great graphics, fun gameplay, and an exciting story. They improved on the previous game while staying true to it.

    The journey that we are called to undertake will make us feel on our skin all the emotions that the protagoinists will experience, their mood, their sufferings, and their cold blood in carrying out certain actions. What about excellent animations, certainly superior to those of the first chapter, excellent artificial intelligence, infected enemies who better use their hearing that will identify us even at the slightest noise. The atmosphere created in the rooms is of the highest level, with great play of light and shadow. The only thing that made my nose turn up are the various time swaps between past and present which tend to make the player's narration and understanding confusing.    … Expand

    A 20 hour long generic revenge story that doesn't even have the decency to let you get said revenge which you have been working towards for the last 20 hours worth of game play. Completely unsatisfying. As well as an obvious LGBT influence which only feels forced.

The Last of Us 2 does neither of these things. As you have likely read, the plot eliminates the heart and soul of its source material in the first 2 hours of the game. They replace this character with lifeless, sterile stand-ins who do nothing but fill time so the player can claim they technically saw a story take place. As far as the technical aspects, the game is scarcely an improvement to the original. The graphics are updated and the combat has some new features and items, but it plays more like an expansion with mods than a standalone game. The writing in this game represents a disturbing trend in modern gaming. Similar to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, we are seeing more and more studios abandon the source material in almost overt attempts to subvert audience expectations for its own sake. It is the writing equivalent of clickbait. Innovation is welcome, but subversion for its own sake is childish and demonstrates only contempt for source materials rather than passion. The dev team can be quoted as saying they intentionally made story and art decisions they believed would be the opposite of what players would want. Ask yourself, do you want to play a game that developers designed to be frustrating and unsatisfying?

    Think of what you could do with $60. You could buy groceries, buy your significant other a nice gift, spend it on yourself for a day off, put it in savings, or invest it. Naughty Dog's answer to "why do we deserve your money?" is: because we will make your main character gay, make the antagonist a muscular woman, and add trans-people. Bravo, Druckmann. This is not activism. This is pandering. Learn the difference, Naughty Dog.

    The only redeeming aspect of this game is the effort put into it by the programmers. 2/10    … Expand

    I am not hear to bash the game or indeed elevate it because I am on any side but i'll leave this here.

    The game is not so terrible it really isn't, sure some things in the story just don't seem to add up but I guess I can forgive that. The issues however are many and I will try to explain.

    Graphics: yes they seem nice especially the outside visuals of landscapes but faces at times seem utterly weird and not in keeping with the rest of the game. When I see people say the graphics are 10/10 i just laugh because there are some really poor ones.

    Gameplay: It is I am afraid to say quite dated in the way it works but the worst thing is the jump system which seems to fail for no reason and they even include a easy jump version in the controls. This should tell you that they knew it was bad but decided to do nothing about that.
    The game had some very boring parts in my humble opinion and just seemed to be there to stretch the game out.

    Sound: Very nice and I cant say too much negative about it

    All in all not a bad game but a disappointment none the less, If ND wanted to make a political statement they should have done so via twitter because some of this stuff does not need to be in games. Woke culture is bleeding into too much stuff these days. The way ND and Sony handled the leak was terrible but that does not effect my score at all.    … Expand

Ellie was also left without two fingers, without Dina and without Tommy ... In this game, a wonderful atmosphere of music, wonderful localization, locations and so on. But the plot leaves much to be desired ... The plot is twisted and in some places it is not clear, to these moments the questions are asked "Why it was shown and why" Here's an example of a scene where Abby and Owen make love, the question "WHY?" Why did the Naughty Gog show this scene and why? What did they want to influence us with this scene? I'm not saying now that Abby has a terrible figure, but guys! Each one has her own and not for you to decide! Someone was lucky with a figure, someone not! In general, the game is good, but I give her 4.5 points.… Expand

    Must play for any fan of the first one. One of the best games I've ever played. Character development is just incredible. The game really puts you in the shoes of the characters you're playing, making you bond with them as the story progresses. I really loved the new mechanics introduced in this game, as well as some of the old ones that have been transferred into it. An absolute masterpiece

Never have i ever had to write a review about a game i have not finished myself, i tryed to stomach the game but i rly couldnt do it after i had to chase Ellie down with Abby, i decided to look for the end on the internet to help me get the emotional courage to push through it and reach that closure but what i found out is that there is no closure. The game was said to not be for everyone and i agree but the problem is that if u have played the first game i dont think u will be able to enjoy the second one.
    How NG tought it would be able to make u like Abby as a character is beyond belief and just show how amateur they were about this game. But then again it can be that NG rly didnt want that and trully just wanted to give u a bitter game experience with no fun and only pain, when i play a game i do it to feel better be it because its fun, hearth warming, interesting or any other reason that can leave me smiling after a game session and even if i get frustrated after i lose i can just try again and win. With the last of us 2 there is no wining, only rage.
    Play it if u havent played the first one or u just dont have the emotional bound with the first one's characters otherwise i recommend u play the first one again and forget about the part 2.    … Expand

    Le doy 1 punto por los gráficos (nada que la primera entrega no tuviera) y por la jugabilidad (que es la misma de la pasada entrega ) de resto hasta una historia de wattpad hubiese quedado mejor . La parte uno la jugué innumerables veces esta ya la venderé de una vez .

Но справедливости ради скажу, что техническая часть безупречна, все выглядит сочно, даже на обычной PS4, все очень плавно и отшлифовано до блеска, однако все было напрасно. I didnt like the sexism (aka 2 girl friends that are main characters have to end up as lesbians). I would personally think you would like this game. There are moments that you feel a bit sourness but after some minutes to even 1-2 hours this comes double back. There are some cringy moments but dont forget you are dealing with a teenager. Lastly, if you are the mount and blade type of player (aka want to make the character you play have the morality you choose) then you might be dissapointed, the main characters are close to as complex as a real human and thus you can easily find things you dissagree on the main characters views. I would not recomend this game to the type of players that dont want to be an unrealistic killing machine because in this game you are made to do some 1v5 to 1v10 and for them to be possible for all players they had to dumb down the AI and thus only the more realistic stealth feels right. For me, a player mostly focused on strategic and realistic map painter games i would give it a 7/10.… Expand

Joel died this way because it's a real world. Nothing happens like you want. Joel survived for so long and his death was heart breaking. Knowing that Ellie saw it breaks my heart even more. I was really confused when they made us play for Abby. I hated her for kiling Joel and didn't want to play as her character. But it showed us lives of other people. That sometimes people kill not because they want to. They driven by emothins and circumstances. I hate this part, but if ND wanted to show us this I'm okay with that. But I wanted to play more as Ellie. About ending. I hate it. Because it's sad and devastating. Ellie ended up alone. That's what she was scared of the most. And it happend. I hate it.     The fact that 1/3 of the game you play with a character that we don't even care about. And this is not talked about is mind blowing. For me it turned from a 10/10 game... to a boring filler 0/10. not only I don't want to play with that character... her story is not interesting... and it is basically what happened in those 3 days from her perspective.     70% of the developer & writer who made the first game great already left/kicked out from the studio.
    The first game is perfect on its own, didn't need a sequel.
    They could have gone so many way with the sequel, but instead they chosen the "cheap" revenge story.
    Killed my favorite character so early in the game just for the sake of killing characters & the "shock factor".
    Also.. false advertisements, the game made you play as other characters(she-hulk marvel crossover yay!) midway through the game that not shown at all in any trailer/promotion.

Naughty Dog has written the Last Jedi and managed to kill a beloved franchise forever.

    Even worse, the technical merits of the game are arguably not as good as the prequel. The pretty environments feel now like soulless Quixel asset flips, and the game animations are thousands upon thousands of motion capture segments weirdly blended together by something which feels more like an AI than any kind of human-made plan. The end result is something that looks amazing in a static frame or a small motion segment but doesn't feel right or cohesive once you are playing.

    The gameplay has been simplified and dumbed down considerably compared to the predecessor, where it was already thin. Even worse, the changes made are never there to make the game better but to make the developer's job easier. An example is the addition of tall grass as a stealth mechanic, an unwelcome gaming trope that allows them to get away with much worse level design. Multiple issues which were present previously but were unimportant due to the nature of the prequel (inconsistent control response, shooting issues, out-of-control secondary animations getting in the way of your stealth, poor enemy AI, and more), now return but are way more prevalent since the game is way longer, has worse pacing, and the writing is no longer able to carry the weight of the game. It's just a lazy job after lazy job. At the end of the day, this game was not made as something intended to be played, but to be watched. And, since you have zero agency and zero choices during the game, I'd say the optimal platform to play the game is YouTube and not PlayStation.

    The entire game feels like it was made by factory robots, except for the story bits, which seems to be written by an Internet troll instead. It deserves a 0 not only because that's how it will make you feel after trying it for a while, but because this is an extremely dangerous trend which can end up destroying the entire AAA gamespace. Do not listen to the dozens upon dozens of 10/10 'professional' reviews which talk nothing about the game's blatant faults and are nothing more than glorified press releases.

    Oh I despise this story so much...it's so comically bleak and full of forced fatalism just not what you need in the world right now. Shock impact for it's own sake is poor story telling. The actual game mechanics and graphics are really good but I just can't get past the horrible story.
