    Alright so how should I start?

    Without doubts the graphic is awesome, detailed, the map are vast and as a player we sure have tons of times to explore. However, to put it as a masterpiece is a blatant lies Simple enough, the story are too detached from the first one. There are a lot of inconsistencies to what Joel and Ellie provided from the first game. Ofc it has to be the continuation    Alright so how should I start?

    Simple enough, the story are too detached from the first one. There are a lot of inconsistencies to what Joel and Ellie provided from the first game. Ofc it has to be the continuation of the first game, however, to continue the story with weird new story, you're exactly trying to be so-out-of-box ultimately leading to some of the fanbase not feeling attached to the story at all. Which it is. From the ending of the remastered version, ND have so many opportunities to continue the game with various plot and tweaks, this is a stale one. Don't agree with me? Ask Pewdipie.

    Expected the same gameplay, it was fun. But do I enjoy it? Probably no. To give 10/10 or even 8/10 is a mere exaggeration tbh. I dont understand where does the critics come from. Guess im better than them    … Expand

    Esperab que este juego fuera mejor que el primero ero me equivoque los gráficos y la jugabilidad son buenos pero la historia y los personajes son malos, ninguno de los personajes presentados llega a tener un desarrollo nisiquera la protagonista la historia se siente forzada y ya ni hablemos de la ridícula forma en la que muere koel en conclusión naughti dog no supo cómo hacer una secuela

    I'm about 15h into the game. It's outstanding. What Naughty Dog achieved here makes me speechless. All these 0/10-ratings are morons who even haven't played the game at all or just stupid humans, driving on the hate train. Go dig yourself in the ground. You're not worth it.

    Nice graphic and animation. But mediocre gameplay like the last game. The storytelling that always be the strongest point of the previous game is really weak in this one. Poorly executed most of the time and feels like made to only satisfy certain group of people.

    I usually do not post scores on the games that i played because i believe in peoples different perspectives. But this one is beyond perspectives. I post this comment simply because i cannot let these people who think that they are better than us to ruin any more of my beloved game, movie and etc franchises. We must not let them namakeke any more of it oh yeah graphics were good. I give 1 for that.

    After the first game this is so disappointing.
    The story is horrible. Annoying false advertisement (character you are avenging for is so predictable they have to lie to you). "Play half of the game for the character you want to kill" move does not work at all.
    Waste of time and money.

    Honestly most dissapointing game of the generation for me. I saw the leaks but still wanted to go in open minded and enjoy the game for what it has to offer. While the gameplay is ok and the grafics are good everything about the story turned out to be even worse than exspected. First time being dissapointed with ND. I really don't get how all those reviewers brought this game up to a 95.

    El juego en sí, en la parte gráfica gusto mucho, jugabilidad buena. La historia si que la embarraron... a partir de la muerte de Joel se dieron dos situaciones, Joel es como que el 50% alma del juego y no debió morir el, al morir Joel ellie solo busca venganza y en eso se basa el juego, ellie solo busca venganza, y esa no es la trama del juego.

    And not 10/10 damn or 3/10 **** review bombing! And if you want to get it buy it for 40€ no more!

    Gameplay / Graphics (games made with hard difficulty) :
    Let's start with that, the gameplay is very good the sensations we have with Ellie ("TITLE"), are very good, the shooting sensations are pretty well managed, the fights with the infected are sometimes intense especially when you're going to face the boss (yes he's got one), it's going to give you a hard time.
    Fights with scar/wolf humans are very intense because the enemies know how to organize themselves very well and they will be ruthless with you, especially the scar.
    But in the penultimate third of the game, we don't know why the Wolves become dumb... sometimes they watch walls (WTF?), this part was rush during development? (and some small bugs seen here and there that will probably be fixed).

    The Graphics are beautiful Naughty Dogs manages their engines very well, especially the faces and expressions of the actors, superb (after that I prefer a little more Uncharted 4 in terms of graphics, a slap in the face. Maybe the sets?)

    Screenplay [BIG SPOIL NOW]:
    We meet Ellie and Joel and the others 4 years later in Jackson at camp, after the events of the first game. [Ellie knows the truth about what happened at the hospital and the fireflies at the end of the first and Joel has no regrets about what he did at that time.]

    Ellie goes on a routine patrol with Dina, everything is going great, they find a place to rest and do their business ;)
    But Jesse (a character we see more in the game), finds them with the information that Joel and Tommy still haven't come back so they go back to find them, but only Joel is captured with Tommy, and then what happened... Ellie wanting to save Joel in the place where he is, she finds herself trapped by Joel's kidnappers, stuck and beaten she is in front of Joel bloody almost dead, Abby (a very important character in the story) killed Joel in front of Ellie's eyes by revenge because her father was killed by Joel when he was going to operate Ellie 4 years ago (Abby's father was the surgeon). Then Ellie will lead her quest for revenge, in the direction of Seattle. (I made HUGE shortcuts)

    Although the basic scenario is rather classic in its treatment, it is very well written because we will live (obviously) Ellie's adventure during the 3 days in Seattle and will go back up the trail to Abby killing one by one those who captured Joel (followed by "flashbacks" between the days of the moments lived between Joel and Ellie in the past), we see Ellie falling little by little in the spiral of hate (I won't go into details play it or watch the movie version that will be on youtube soon to see it. )
    And that's where the surprise of the scenario comes in because we will also play Abby what she lived during the 3 days in Seattle or we will also understand her motivations that pushed her to do that (via "flashbacks" also cut between the days, besides we start with her the day her father died, it lasts anyway 2 good hours), she will also see during her adventure her friends die either by learning it, by seeing their corpses or by living it.

    In spite of my spoils I will not tell you certain passages of the game which is very important or essential, I also take care not to tell you the end which will divide you and which also divided me, but I understand.

    CONCLUSION:
    The game is a very good technical performance, it's beautiful and you don't get bored in front of the game, Abby is superbly well written, I wouldn't say more ;)
    I understand Ellie's motivations, the links she has and has had with Joel are very important, the game is sometimes sad, sometimes joyful (it plays a lot on the Nostalgia of the first one), and a lot of hatred it can divide people and it will, the end is what it is, it is very open but again it divides.
    And I understand that people can't understand it, but as Joel said: "I would have liked it to be different too, but that's the way it is."    … Expand

As well as viciously showcasing the consequences of Joel's actions during the first game.

    Firstly, if you are frustrated with the direction Naughty Dog has taken story-wise in this game. You must understand or remember the nature of the world Joel and Ellie live in. I just finished the first game for the third time right before part II dropped, I'd recommend doing the same before jumping in.

    So, Society and Civilization as we know them, are far gone. About 25 years gone. And the result, is anarchy, constant fear, struggle and the survival of the fittest. Joel's change was very clearly displayed during the first game, a carpenter, mutated into a ruthless killer, smuggler. In other words, the perfect product of a shattered world. Still tormented by the loss of his daughter, Sarah.

    Thus, violence begets violence, could be the motto of this world. 'An eye for an eye', 'Live by the sword, Die by the sword', and so on. Imagine how such a cruel world impacts the loss of a loved one, within a tight-knit group, trying to hang onto some speck of normality still left, all the while, survival is an ever present concern. In such a world there would be no such thing as 'Let bygones be bygones.'. So, if you're annoyed about how things turned out, I don't blame you, but so it's the way of that world.

    By what I've witnessed within my first two hours of gameplay, Abby's vengeance wasn't immoral, even though the execution of it was ruthless, yet she did not go on a murdering spree to reach her target. And it's mentioned through the game, as why she did it in that particular way.

    So, in conclusion the story in The Last of Us Part II, doesn't seem senseless, nor is it devoid of any logic. It's just a bit more complex compared with the story from the first game, which was very simple yet beautifully written and executed, with the main focus on Joel and Ellie and their journey across
    America. While in the sequel it's more about the destination. There are new characters, which, yes, lack the sweet character development we were used from the first game. And that alone, might frustrate several people.

    From the number of comments and negative reviews I read, most mention the lack of quality in the game's story. Plot holes, and character's like Joel and Ellie acting odd. Especially Joel during his encounter with Abby, as in 'Why would he trust her, the real Joel doesn't trust people.', What ? You cannot find an explanation by yourself ? Do you want a game that gives you the resolve to every aspect of it's story ? EXAMPLE: Did RDR2 explain why Dutch left Arthur to die ? No ! Why he kept avoiding the plain truth ? When everything around him pointed to the gang's demise, and perhaps his own...

    Let me ask you something...Do you want a game or movie for that matter, that explains it's own narrative ? I do not. And I don't think you want one either. So ! Why did Joel acted as he did ? He simply let his guard down. And by the time he realized in what sort of situation he got himself in, it was too late. I mean, for the last 5 years he lived within a community of people not set on screwing each other, that helped and perhaps welcomed strangers in their community. Thus, in Joel's instance, if you can explain it, it isn't a plot hole nor abnormal behavior. But simply factors that most fail to consider.

    If you take your time and really think on how else would the first game's repercussions get to affect Joel, and in turn, Ellie, one would come up with several outcomes. And somewhere among those, one will eventually come up with something along the lines of 'Actions have consequences...'.

    So, is it trash ? As some others have mentioned in their reviews, I do not think so...
    Perhaps those people expected something more cheerful, yet uncharacteristic, I would add.

    wow not a single negative review by critics srsly ? i guess sony had a good time sending money to those people . anyway what i want to say about this game is the following - dont buy it . it is disgusting and dissapointing . story is so bad compared to the first game also sjw propaganda is written all over the place . the only positive thing about the game are the graphics but thats about it .

Have been waiting so long for a sequel. When i found out that the game was leaked i tried my best to stay away from spoilers. Everything about the game was great except it's story. Joel didn't deserve to go out like that. I expected that he would die in the sequel but why did you have to kill him off just two hours into the game,he deserved better than this. Identity politics in the game felt too forced. Why do SJW's have to ruin everything that i love? Everything that I loved about the first game was completely ruined by Neil Druckman.… Expand

    *Minor spoilers* I adored tlou 1 and i loved both joel and ellie. I might have played the game over 7 times. When i started off with tlou 2 after the scene in the lodge i was quite enraged. When i first played as abby after that scene i was wondering why ND would let us play as her Knowing that we all hated her. But that hate started to fade scene by scene. I couldn’t help but to feel*Minor spoilers* I adored tlou 1 and i loved both joel and ellie. I might have played the game over 7 times. And this feeling accompanied me for the rest of the game. It wasn’t a bad feeling but it was something different. The gameplay was spot on if you liked the mechanics of the first one you will love this game too. There were exactly 2 scenes/events that happened that i didn’t quite understand why they had put in. Nevertheless i enjoyed the game and i plan on playing it again soon. If you are a fan of the first one you should give it a shot and if you are scared about the abby parts don’t be she is a well developed character and i doubt you getting bored. Despite the big spoiler of Joel's death early in the game (which is an incredible scene by storytelling standards y'all are just dramatic) this game holds up as a fresh new visit to the world of the last of us. the gameplay is touched up enough to be different from the first while maintaining the best bits from it. The bleak harrowing story is told beautifully by the music and visuals alongside incredible performances by everyone involved.… Expand

    The game works good and looks good, but the story and dialog is so dumb and infuriating, I had no issues with the lesbian stuff or the transsexual but i would still recommend to just stick to the first game, and pretend this doesn't exist.

    I don't know what these 0 reviews are all about. Having played 8 hours so far, it's by far one of the best experiences I've had on PS4. Game looks amazing, worldbuilding is top notch, the story is logical and expected, gameplay is improved from the first game.

    3. De un juego de aventura y sigilio pasamos a lo etico y moral: todo lo que pasamos en el 1 trabajando sigilosamente contra todos aqui pasamos a dialogos super forzados y el juego te obliga a pensar como ellas....no naughty dogs NO.
    4.Joel.no merecia morir tan pronto: su muerte no fue absolutamente buena al contrario...FUE PESIMA
    5. Ellie tu venganza fue fallida (veremos en el punto qque sige)
    7. EL FINAL MAS HORRIBLE: ok que puede ser peor que todo lo anterior? Simple in final sin satisfaccion alguna. Ellie no mato a Abby al contrario la perdono y la dejo ir. Y se regreso sin sus dedos , toca la guitarra y ahi la deja....jamas perdono a joel y tendra que vivir con esooo nos enseña a que debemos apreciar lo que tenemos antes que lo perdemos de una manera muy patetica sin sentimiento.

    This has been a big disappointment as a big fan of the first game. There are a lot of elements in the game that contradict what the series stands for. Also that weird romance scene is totally out of place and awkward.

    TLOU 1 was perfect because the story not about gameplay many people thinks TLOU 1 better than uncharted when u think about it the most they love the story and the gameplay for both games are similar ....     Is this a joke? I thought the rumors were false, but by spending more and more hours on it, the disappointment was only growing. We waited 7 years for this disappointment? How sad. The end is a shock to me, how is it possible to reach such a disappointing end? The political stakes kill the game.

    Love this game so far! Not sure why it's getting so much hate. I don't necessarily agree with what's happened but it's Naughty Dog's story to tell.

    The game had pretty graphics. Game-play is slightly better than it was 8 years ago, but the story is utter garbage. The game forces you to do terrible things, and play as people you utterly hate. I find the story appalling to put it mildly.

    This is the best game I’ve ever played in my life.
    Bad ratings are only from people who can’t enjoy a game that it’s not going how they want it to go.
    It’s all perfect, gameplay, graphic, storyline...I don’t know I feel like I’ve dreamed about this story for how it looked and felt realistic to play it.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
