    i give it 2/10 for a sake of gameplay and visual and sounds that's it but 'im very disappointed in term of story how they changed the characters 180 and how it feels kinda weird the way they take decisions in the game it's just weird

    I’ve been waiting 5 years for this and I can’t tell you how disappointed I am. I can’t believe the creators of the original game created this one. The story-telling was just dreadful and the fighting system was similar to the original but was overall monotonous. I’m really trying not to hate but something must be going on at naughty dog studios because this is such a bummer. In The Last of Us: Part II the graphics were amazing, game-play was slightly better than the first game, but the story... It was just so disappointing, The last of us is Joel and Ellie, this isn't the last of us anymore. Ellie lost everyone around her and I had to wait 3 years to see that happen. Never in my life have I called a game "disappointing" but this fits the tittle, I seriously wish I never played this game… Expand

The sound, art, music, voice acting, characters and graphics are all spectacular. And the story is pretty damn good too. It feels like a natural progression of the first game, even if I don’t 100% agree with some decisions made in the story. There are a lot of flashbacks that it kind of takes you out of the game. Also, you can spend so much time walking around to find stupid items that have absolutely no effect on the game and the puzzles get old quickly. I will say that combat is good enough and the enemy/allies AI is pretty amazing. My biggest problem with this game is you play as a character named Abby for a good half of the game. I like Abby as a character and her story is really good. But no matter how much you play as her you never fully embrace her because of a choice she makes a little less than a quarter into the game. Her character/story would have made for a perfect spinoff game in my opinion. Overall this game is good and worth the time. And contrary to other reviews, this game doesn’t try to push an agenda or try to be some SJW propaganda. Anyone who makes that claim has not played the game at all, or at least finished it.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ужасная история! Ужасная игра! Там настолько все пропитанно феминизмом и "сильными женщинами", что среди лошадей в игре есть только кобылы. Где мужеподобная страшная баба убивает всем полюбившегося героя в первые часы игры. Персонажа просто сливают в унитаз, как и весь адекватный сюжет. Геймплейно ничего кардинально не поменялось, разве что он стал более однообразным и унылым. Были забавляющие мелочи вроде трясущегося словно мошонка рюкзака (в собаках вообще видели как ткань ведет себя в реальной жизни?) Глюков со снегом, тупым ИИ, и прочими вещами. Страшные как моя жизнь персонажи, чего только стоят эти азиаты, меньшинства и НОСИЩЕ беременная-лесба. Сюжетные повороты в стиле "Ой Джоеля убивают на моих глазах плохие люди, я вас всех убью! Ой нееет!" И пам, она уже просыпается в своей кроватке, естественно ее никто не тронул, нам же еще за нее играть. Я дропнул игру после нескольких часов, стало просто невыносимо терпеть тупость тамошнего сюжета, и всей творческой импотенции авторов, в их жалких попытках угодить меньшинствам и выехать на повестке феминизма, заправив туда дегенеративную мораль про МЕЕЕСТЬ. Нила Даркмана нужно гнать ссаными тряпками! Этот бездарный еврей слил всю серию, выпустил свою "Андромеду" от мира Одни из Нас. И всех кто причастен к этому дерьмовому сюжету!… Expand

    I'm playing it with a ps4(not pro) and it is amazing! I don't understand all these bad reviews, 0 means there is nothing good, but if in your comment you write that the graphics is good as the gameplay it can not be 0, you just are like a sheep giving 0 to feel cool. That is sad

But I’m afraid anyone who enjoyed the story and characters of the first game will be sorely disappointed with the direction of this one. It seems as though the team at naughty dog have taken it upon themselves to look at everything positive from the first one and flip it on its head. The Story choices just seem bizarre and nonsensical, having a certain beloved character be beaten to death by the most macho woman I’ve ever seen and then have to play as said character just made me want to quit right there, playing as Abby was horrendous after killing Joel I Had no sympathy for the character no emotional connection, I just can’t get my head round why the people at naughty dog thought this would be a good idea. All in all visually it’s beautiful but I’m afraid that’s it’s only redeeming quality because everything else truly stinks, I just feel sorry for fans who’ve waited over 7 years for something that is truly terrible.… Expand

A complete deconstruction of the first game and the characters you developed a connection to therein. Just a complete brutality to basically every character new and old, and the whole franchise's reputation.

    Joel announcing his name to a group of strangers he already seemed suspicious of despite knowing that people could be looking for him after what he did was so forced and out of character. Ellie walking in on Joel getting beaten to death, GUN IN HAND, and not immediately shooting Abby was also incredibly ooc. Poor writing, not just in the overall story but also in terms of the characters is literally used as a gratuitous stepping stone, AKA a shameless excuse to get to all of the brutal, gorey violence.

    Noy to mention it ends in a bleak way with no silver lining at all. Compare that to the way the first one, while bleak in nature still had its nice moments. Its moments of "ya know what maybe this hellscape is worth sticking around for." But this game? I'd get more enjoyment shoving fingernail clippings up my a** hole.

    Don't get me wrong, I expected it to be bleak. The tone of the game is post-apocalypse. It revolves around death and the ugliness of man and yes yes it's all very grim. That kind of prepares you for how this isn't going to be a totally happy story. But everything they built up and established in the first game is just burned to the ground.

    All the gameplay is basically the same as the first with some exploration buffs and NPC tweeks, companion AI feels clunkier now but a lot of the interactions between your people and between enemies outside of cutscenes feels very fluid and natural. That said, a lot of the stuff that's good about the game is done in flashbacks to when Ellie was younger. The actual current story they're telling had potential but the executuion is poor.

    The game is trying so hard to get a specific reaction while blowing holes in why and how you should feel that way. We are supposed to empathise with Abby just because we are exposed to her when we're forced to play as her? We are supposed to think bad of Ellie when she killed Mel after Mel attacked her first instead of just pleading "I'm pregnant!"?

    Abby killed the man that saved her life brutally and mercilessly. She wasn't able to empathise at all with why Joel might have done what he did, but you are expected to empathise with her? She even goes on to have a similar, protective sort of relationship with Lev as Joel did with Ellie. Maybe not in a parental way, but the parallels are still there. It really could have been a good story had they spent more time on the gap years rather than jumping straight a timeskip and Joel's very premature death.

    All of this and the fact that the ending is not at aaaaall worth it makes this feel so incredibly soulless. They wanted to go down the route of "is there really a good guy in this kind of world?", and that idea could be incredible. But then they butcher the execution. Force you to play as the character who beat Joel to death for a massive portion of the game, and leave off with a terrible ending.

    Ellie stated in the first game that she's most afraid of ending up alone, and they did that to her. She suddenly realises that killing is wrong after slaughtering countless men and women to get to this moment with Abby. She is in the middle if drowning her and suddenly lets her live. This woman killed Joel, almost killed Dina. In fact, upon hearing that Dina was pregnant from a battered and bleeding Ellie, she says "Good.", and proceeds to almost slit her throat only that Lev stops her. But Ellie suddenly forgets all of that and lets her leave.

    Ellie goes back to Dina only to find she has left already, goes into a room and sees her guitar in its case. She pulls it out and learns she can no longer play the way Joel showed her all those years ago because she had her fingers bitten off during the struggle with Abby. She props the guitar up by the window, almost as if in memory of the man who taught her to paly, and leaves it behind. She has no use for it now. Ellie walks through the field outside, alone. Joel dead. Tommy partially paralysed but his characterisation definitely got massacred. Dina gone. Cut to credits. Game over.

    There isn't even a slither of happiness in this game. Was the lesson "revenge is bad"? Because if so, they should have rolled the credits as soon as Abby killed Joel and told players "if that made you uncomfortable, do not seek revenge." In big writing before rolling the credits.
    Either way the ending would leave you shifting uncomfortably with a bad taste in your mouth.

    Neil Druckman should be ashamed of the false advertising via trailers and "10/10" reviews that sprouted up after all of the leaks. Just wait for how quickly the price drops on the PS Store to see how poorly it did. And even when it's cheap, don't subject yourself to this trashfire.    … Expand

Calling it a game suggests there is some level of enjoyment to be had from playing it. When in reality The Last Of Us Part 2 is a thoroughly unpleasant experience all round. I wasn't even sure how to rate this experience. a 0 might seem like i'm just another person trying to "troll" the game (a term seemingly used only when people disagree with your personal dislike of something and a way for them to try invalidate said opinion) but it came down to this. Is there ANYTHING about this game that i feel would make me want to go through "playing" it again? would i recommend it to someone who might enjoy it even if i didn't? sadly the answer to both of those questions is no. The Last Of Us Part 2 is poorly written, with no significant gameplay changes, but above all is simply not a pleasant experience to slog through. Fortunately my old house mate works for Sony so i didn't have to pay to "play" this game.… Expand

They absolutely spit on the legacy of their series, their fans, and their beloved characters. Joel, the most untrusting, cunning, and cautious person, allows a bunch of **** goons to sneak up on him, then proceeds to allow them to kill him with a **** golf club without fighting back whatsoever. Then Ellie, a girl who's murdered entire villages, does not avenge his death after going through absolute hell to get the chance to, and allows the **** character which is Abby to get away. It's like the writers were on crack when they wrote their beloved franchise into the ground. Don't buy this game, just watch a playthrough of it and see the look of disgusting on the face of the poor soul who's taking a bullet for you by playing the game for you.… Expand

    Most people don't hate it because of the diversity stuff, those stuff just got shoehorned into an already bottom barrel story. Waste of potential on the graphics, but we all know how they got that by crunching their graphic developers to half dead, so not exactly something to brag about. This game is a movie experience, you had one job (writing something people wanna see) and you failed it ND.

    If Sony doesn't reign in this kind of crappy attitude from their western HQ and studios i'm reconsidering buying a PS 5 at all. Def not buying on release anymore (i got all the PS consoles and handheld). Everything get released on PC anyway.

    If ND go bankrupt over this, Sony better not shift this hack Director to their other 1st party studios where he can pollutes other games, like GOW.    … Expand

    I am convincing myself that there is no such thing called TLOU Part 2, it is only The Last Of Us and will always be.

    Unlike Part 2 that lacks a lot of feelings and only focuses on one main thing that is revenge, and that doesn't attract me at all cause I am not even attracted to the new characters that they've projected in the game. They are forcing the player to interact with the new characters that I personally feel no sympathy for them nor for their stories.

    I was against the idea of making a sequel out of the game from the beginning, because I knew that TLOU is just so great and is just a pure masterpiece that I think no game can ever be compared to it.
    I am really disappointed.
    Thank you Naughty Dog for ruining my best game.    … Expand

Очередной ЛГБТ высер, который паразитирует на первой части, все эти купленные "независимые" обзорщики люто обосрались когда поставили этой подделке 10 из 10. Обещали невероятную историю, "такого еще никогда не делали", а на деле оказалась предсказуемая унылая байка про месть коих пруд пруди. Не логичные поступки персонажей, куча сюжетных дыр, приправленые ЛГБТ повесточкой-это то, что вы получите на самом деле покупая эту "игру", и вот не надо брызгать пеной изо рта и говорить что "это глубокая история про то, как месть разрушает человека, а на СЖВ просто не обращайте внимания", если бы они внятно прописали характер этих персонажей тогда бы никаких придирок не возникло, но на деле их добавили просто чтобы они были, как всегда впрочем, а история про то, что месть разрушаетчеловека отнюдьне нова, и ложь разработчиков про "уникальный сюжет" никак не оправдывает. По сюжету вроде бы все. Что касается геймплея, то он на удивление хорош, но от первой части не сильно отличается. Единственное что в этой игре стоит внимания, так это проработка и дизайн уровней. Лично у меня надежда на этот проект с треском провалилась, если вы покупаете игры ради геймплея, может вас чем-то эта игра заинтересует, но если вас, как и меня, интересовал в первую очередь сюжет, то эта игра определённо не заслуживает ни ваших денег ни времени проведённого за ней темболее.… Expand

    How ND treated the past story and characters with no respect made this a bad game. How they ruined all the momentum from the last game made this a bad game. How the story was badly executed made this a bad game. I actively hated this experience and regret finishing it.

I am a massive fan of the first and i can understand why some fans may be disappointed that this doesn't include Joel and Ellie as much as we expected. However part 2 shows a story how noone is the bad guy and no one is the good guy as we see the story from ellies perspective and also abbys. You spend about half the game as each character and as I was reluctant to play as Abby at first I slowly started to understand what the game was trying to tell me. That anything can happen in this world and its not just our beloved characters that go through the pain and traumas of this world., but everyone that ellie and joel have killed. The beauty of this game if you learn to like abby and understand her choices and the game confuses you by conflicting your own feelings about who you want to win. In terms of gameplay, it is next level. Probably the best level design I have seen in a game and my heart was pounding the whole way through each encounter. I could go on put hats of to naughty dog for doing the unexpected and telling a truly heart wrenching story.… Expand

Although the narrative attempts to weave together a cohesive story predicated of themes such as revenge, and consequence- this is often undermined by characters' uncharacteristic behaviour and excessively violent choices. This is because these actions seem to be intended to generate shock value more than communicate a point. This poor choice of storytelling is only compounded by the fact that the player, themselves, cannot actively choose their actions in this game. Therefore, forcing players to endure a game that seems to take joy in harming players favourite characters seems insanely unnecessary and effectively acts more as torture porn than it does effective story telling. It is obvious that the game seems to critique the consequence free violence that occurs in so many video games, but by removing player agency any such commentary isn't as impactful to the player and only makes them feel condescendingly lectured throughout the storytelling experience. This wound is only rubbed in with additional salt when you are forced to embody an unrelatable character during game play, which the game makes irredeemable and unsympathetic within the first 3 hours of the game. The ending is also exceptionally unsatisfactory, which leaves you pondering what the point of the entire game and its character motivations were about. I understand this was intentional, but if you loved the Last Of Us, as I did, the final scene with the guitar only serves to undermine the memory of those characters I loved even further. Ultimately, to Naughty Dog's credit, aside from the story- by every measure this game has improved upon its predecessor, with better exploration, graphics, combat, stealth (although I don't think it’s as great as the other reviewers have made it out to be, it's still good and I can definitely see why people would enjoy it), and sound there's a lot here for many gamers to still enjoy. So, if you're someone who enjoys having their expectations subverted (The Last Jedi style), then you'll love it like so many in this community has done. But as someone who loves the characters from the first game- this game does such a disservice to them that it has left a permanent bad taste in my mouth and for that I cannot personally recommend it.… Expand

I liked the gameplay when playing as Ellie, or someone who wasn't Abby, but I hated playing as Abby, I was frustrated every time I played as her, and it was hard to keep going because I was playing as the character that killed Joel, the only thing that kept me going was thinking about playing as Ellie again. the great feeling that I got while playing part 1 cause it was such a great story, I only had half of the time in while playing part 2. the story sucked, and I think Naughty dog should have done better, I paid 50 euros for a great story playing as Joel and Ellie since they're in the trailer but ofc I end up playing as the poopiest character half of the time, and I didn't have the feeling of joy once while playing as Abby.

To be fair though it's got very little competition because 2020 as far as years go is just awful. We started the year with China swinging it's cock around and stomping all over the rights of Hong Kong, so there goes freedom for one of the biggest economic centres of the world. We spent the next 5 months of it in isolation because of this pandemic; (and if you're in the UK, you're still in lockdown... because the bastard Virus won't go away here). We've had Antifa terrorist **** smashing up and setting fire to major cities across USA and now its spreading to other countries like a virus of idiot thuggery, (no I don't care what you have to say and will block anyone who posts pro-BLM responses, take that as a preemptive **** you" to any terrorist sympathising scum who want to justify the mobs who are smashing up my city, attacking my police officers, destroying my monuments, and doing this all while there's a ****ING PANDEMIC happening. I don't want to hear your **** Got it!). The rest of the year isn't going to get any better. Most economies are in the gutter right now and honestly gaming isn't a priority. Manufacturing is at a standstill, food production is right down so countries like India, Bangladesh, China etc. are going to really feel that as food shortages become a very real crisis. The OPEC trade fallout is utterly destroying the oil prices which is basically bankrupting Russia, Canada, Norway, and the Middle-East; the true extent of this is yet to be realised and my god it's going to be bad. The stock market crash resulting from all this is going to drive us into a depression worse than even the 1929 Great Depression so expect homelessness and unemployment to sky-rocket... and all of this is happening in a USA Election Year, so when the SJWs lose to Trump again they'll almost certainly riot like the petulant children they are; rioting because they live in a country with free open elections... it's disgusting but mark my words it'll happen. (And yeah, Trump is an idiot, but Biden has the personality of old dishwater, and genuinely looks like a confused pensioner half the time. I seriously doubt he had a realistic chance of the presidency). Given all of the above, and to go back to games... what the hell does TLOU2 have as realistic competition right now. Even political outrage is unlikely to dampen it as there's far bigger things to be outraged about politically as shown above. There's almost nothing that can challenge it.

    That's literally it... that's all that's coming this year. FF7 Remake was a bait and switch that left people genuinely angry and with a sense of gaming blue-balls because it was only 1/3rd of the finished game, and it's not really a remake. It will get a few nominations at most out of auteur ego stroking necessity. Avengers looks painfully generic and will be unlikely to challenge anything for awards unless it's unusually good, like Marvel's Spiderman levels of good but moreso. That leaves Cyberpunk 2077 as the ONLY real competition, and honestly, it's just not going to have enough wide appeal to bring people in. As much as we may like it, large sprawling single player RPGs in a cyberpunk world are an extremely niche market.

    Maybe there's a few that could be outside challengers. Halo Infinite, Watch_Dogs Legion, Ghost Of Tsushima; all could MAYBE get high acclaim if they actually come out this year. Doom Eternal and Resident Evil 3 MIGHT get some acknowledgement but they were generally considered let downs. Let's be honest here. TLOU2 was likely to win regardless of other games out this year. Only a Breath Of The Wild sequel would dethrone it. It could be a literal dog turd in a bag, and it'd still stand a good chance of winning, even in a good year because the system is pretty much rigged... in the uncontested **** of a year that is 2020, where most games are delayed or cancelled; it'll be almost guaranteed to win.    … Expand

    I have been looking forward to this game for years and am not disappointed with the final result. It has vastly improved and expanded on the first game, whilst also maintaining that 'The Last of Us' feel.

Ну а потом уже выпускать part ll. Скажу честно, я просто не мог играть игру, это очень тяжело. Когда играешь за Эбби, и бьёшь Элли: я просто специально пару часов умирал за неё, потому что я не мог совершать те действия, которые мне навязали! Игра оставила двоякие впечатления, но все же, ND молодцы в плане гейм дизайна и жуткой атмосферы, которая держит до самого конца игры.     This game really shoudn’t be out. The story is about a revenge and even if this subject is easy, they messed up. We were lied about the story, the trailers were a manipulation. I wasted 250zł ~ 60$ on this game. Everyone wanted a story with Joel and Ellie but we got a story about Ellie’s revenge. They made Ellie look like a bad character (killed dog and ofc she killed pregnant woman) but the main villan was showed like a hero (fe. helped kids, play with a dog etc.). And the ending, oh god, it’s basically awful. Don’t get me wrong because i support LGBTQ+ community but I don’t know if it’s Sony’s LGBTQ+ politics but the amout of putting gay, trans etc. things is really unnecesary.     This game offers you simple AAA shooting and stealth mechanics combined with really beautiful animations. And sometimes it don't work as well as it could. Script is nothing special too. We have already seen some games when we played on 2 conflicting sides and it was better than this. Ending looks like plagiarism of MGS4 ending. I am big fan of original game and part 2 was a realThis game offers you simple AAA shooting and stealth mechanics combined with really beautiful animations. And sometimes it don't work as well as it could. Script is nothing special too. We have already seen some games when we played on 2 conflicting sides and it was better than this. Ending looks like plagiarism of MGS4 ending. I am big fan of original game and part 2 was a real disappointment. Plot is boring and made pretty bad. Author tries to show us his political and moral positions, while doing harm to characters and story of original game. Eliie and other girls specially made less feminine and men in this game shown like some kind of girlish, weak and dumb creatures. Don't sponsor this mess, 0/10.… Expand

La storia in game potrà essere amata oppure odiata, capita, del resto gli autori dovevano fare una scelta per rendere credibile il continuo di un capolavoro di 7 anni fa, e secondo me TLOU part 2 lo è. Critiche da stadio e stupide che vengono offerte a questo capolavoro, non giocare a TLOU 2 è un delitto per un videogame, imperdibile, una produzione epocale che rimarrà nell'olimpo dei giochi più belli di questa generazione, tra PS4 e XBOX One, e degli ultimi 20 anni, siamo qui al di sopra di b super blasonate e sopravvalutato opere, seppur bellissime, come the legend of zelda, ebbene si, The Last of Us part 2 è superiore in tutto, tecnica e storia, al capolavoro Nintendo, quindi videogame acquistate lo a tutti i costi e godetevela, pian piano, giocarlo tutto! Per me questo titolo è "condannato" a diventare gioco dell'anno 2020 (game of the year 2020)!

    Mi è piaciuto molto.i personaggi sono caratterizzati molto bene, la storia mi è piaciuta e trovo veramente molto bello il finale
    Il doppiaggio in inglese è perfetto quello in Italiano non mi piace molto specialmente per la scelta della voce di Dina. Comunque lo consiglio a tutti.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
