    I enjoyed it seriously, yeah most of u are probably pissed off at the "thing" at the beginning but giving it a bad review because of that its pretty... you know, becuz giving it a low score means its bad game which is not fair for the developers cause they worked hard on the game and you could see that they worked hard throught the little details in the game.

    Los aspectos en cuanto a jugabilidad me parecieron de lo mejor, su sistema de combate/sigilo esta muy bien pulido y no me parece para nada decepcionante. La historia es lo que más puede decepcionar a los jugadores tal vez puedan conciderar que el primer juego dejo las expectativas muy altas pero para mí aunque no supera el primero sigue siendo un juego increíble.

You can play all the new Gustavo Santolalla songs you want during Abby's scenes, you can give her a believable motive, you can even give her a Joel-type story arc. It doesn't matter, I WILL STILL HATE HER!! And the fact that you couldnt make me care about her at all, even after playing half the game with her, just shows your terrible writing.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolutely loved this game. The darker tone and visuals really drove home the shift in attitude that Ellie goes through after Joel's death. And getting to play as his killer for half the game is a spectacular nuance to driving home the fact that these are all just people. Theine of revenge had to stop somewhere and Ellie realizes this far too late. Awesome storytelling… Expand

    Biggest disappointment in gaming. Apart from the ***show of a story, the game play gets repetitively boring. Feel really sorry for the brilliant ND team who are on the receiving end of all this hate just because of a their ****head leaders/creative directors.

Now, The graphics are amazing, gameplay is still pretty much the same and voice acting is very good, now for the truth. The game is an absolute mess story sucks, the leaks were true, you don't even get enough time to settle into the game until Joel gets taken out its because of that stupid decision the Devs made that really took me out of the game and made want to jump out of my window (I didn't.) But this game literally leads to nowhere. Abby lives because Ellie let's her go?! Really?! I'm glad I didn't buy the game and was able to switch it out for a better game.… Expand

    I stayed away from the spoilers, I just finished playing. I loved the first game. But it seems like ND was more worried about ticking all those politically correct boxes than delivering a great story. This game is trash. Don’t buy it.

Yes Joel dies but that is a new journey for Ellie who was under his protection from the beginning. Yes she doesn't kill Abby but that means she got over Joel and she doesn t want to follow his ways. Joel killed the fireflies and saved Ellie but she wants to be different. Also this game was supposed to be about Ellie not the both of them. Also if girl on girl action is not for you than you shouldn't play this game or get to this year' this is a normal thing now.… Expand

    I can totally understand people disliking this game. Even hating it. But considering it a bad game with a bad story and bad characters is nonsense. It’s ironic to me how many people complain about the social politics aspect of the game, and choose to hate it for that reason. And frankly it handles it’s violent world better than the first game. It’s not necessarily meant to be “fun” but it’s definitely entertaining. Or engaging. Whatever term you prefer. As far as these negative reviews go, it kinda seems as though most of them are either complaining about a game they haven’t even played, or about the social political aspects (art is inherently political you jokers. Your own politics are your own problem.), or complaining about how depressing it is. I don’t really consider these complaints valid, because few games are made to this degree of quality or polish. And even fewer games tell stories with this amount of believable emotional depth. Oh yes, there are characters I dislike, and character decisions that pissed me off. But it all felt justified and real. (My biggest overall complaint from a plot/story perspective is that 20 or so years of post apocalypse in reality wouldn’t be enough for this level of societal degradation. Cults already having full blown martyrs, and referring to infected people as demons? Sooo ridiculous. Made the cult come off as a bunch of over enthusiastic LARPers. But that’s all theoretical.)

    From a gameplay perspective, it’s kinda silly how easily a crowbar can break, or how little ammo you carry. Yet you’ll have like seven different projectile weapons with you. Why would ammo ever be scarce in America? But these are minor complaints compared to the gameplay excellence on display in this game. It’s so damn smooth. The encounters have great variety. The locations and level design is top- notch. Even if I hated the game, I couldn’t justify not giving it a perfect score. At the very least, it’s one of the best designed games ever made, with a story crafted to be the purpose behind all of it.    … Expand

    Thanks for keeping the negative stereotype of bisexual people being disloyal cheaters, Naughty Dog, that really helps me out in my life as someone who is openly bisexual.

    Also, stop using 'subverting expectations' as a shield for bad writing because when someone actually properly subverts expectations no one actually believes you because you've misused the phrase too much.

Truly, first things first, this game is completely diferent from the first one , this is one is all about revenge from The begining until end , i would really put a 10 out of 10 but i cant , cause of The end, ok we should have some empathy with abbey, trying to show in a woldcase scenario that we always have to look from about two perspectives, but Ellie should have done it!, she didnt cause she felt free, and letted it go just seing Joe smilling, she should have done it , it would be so much satisfying, cause this all The Scores here in metacritic are so low, cause she hasnt done it , just because of it .… Expand

Precisávamos de uma protagonista forte, LÉSBICA e ainda por cima não sexualizada, pra mostrar que até no apocalipse existem pessoas como nós. Obrigada Naughty Dog por tudo!

From the awful treatment of employees to Anita Sarkeesian's involvement to straight-up lying in the trailer and false copyright striking memes and literal tweets without any content whatsoever, this game was a dumpster fire from the start, and that's not even considering the game itself.

    It really took them 7 years to make this piece of garbage.
    The only good thing about it is the graphics, but those don't matter since the gameplay is mediocre at best, and the story is the worst thing written in a long time.

    Imagine killing Joel in a trap which he would have easily seen and then try to make us feel bad for the killer.

    Imagine then making Ellie kill a ton of people just to get to Joel's killer and then not make us be able to take revenge at the end.

    The story of this game is so badly written it's not even funny. At least Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" was hilariously bad, but Neil Druckmann could not even accomplish that. When he said he was crying at the end, he was right, but for the wrong reasons. You'll cry at the end of the game because of the thought of what could have been, not because of the garbage that's been given. A story filled with plot holes and unrelatable characters makes The Last of Us: Part 2 a dull game.

    When Neil Druckmann's self insert spat on Joel's bleeding body, I knew exactly what I was in for. This game does not even deserve a 1 compared to how great the first game was. Guess all of the so-called "game critics" got to see Neil Druckmann's wallet.    … Expand

    They planned something completly different and ended up with this somehow, probably because they lost 70% of their employees and some idiot wanted to push his own ideas.

    joel wasnt meant to die that early, there was clearly a journey planned for both him and ellie, but they removed it, also abby wasnt supposed to look like that at all, if you watch the old trailers, she didnt have that kind of steroidblasted body, which doesnt even make sense for that kind of world by the way.

    ND took a huge risk with abby and completly failed, she is not likeable at all and they **** try so hard to make you like her.
    The game thinks the best time to tell Abbies backstory is when the game hits its climax, like what the ****

    Story is amazing for my liking. I like how they’re trying to build new characters. Gameplay is awesome, nods to movies and the 1st game are a very nice touch. It’s full of emotion and it’s a beautiful revenge story told from 2 perspectives!

    What I can say without spoiling is that this game is a masterpiece from a visual and gameplay stand point. The story will be divisive, and as I said I'm not yet sure how I personally feel about it, but I think that's the point. It doesn't really have a good side/bad side. Its extremely morally gray, and your alliegance and sympathy flips all throughout. This is not a repeat of the first game. If you come looking for a simmilar story, you won't find it. In the long run, I think this will be seen as a bold and revered move by Naughty Dog.

    This is sad that our children will grow up seeing this in all their games thinking it is "normal" .

    Kids today dont know what they want or who they are and its sickening to see the direction this is going.

    First I want to say screw every review bomber that did not play the game.

    Although the full flow and story (mainly the second half) way more bloated than it needed to be, I was able to appreciate and enjoy what they were going for.

    Get this game for the gameplay, which for me tops the gameplay from TLOU 1 in every aspect.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can only comment on the story rather than my experience with the game-play at this stage because I watched a nearly 9 hour play-through from Gamer's Little Playground.

    Upon reflection I do not think I could have played this game and enjoyed it, as a passive experience it worked and there were some amazing moments, the emotional roller coaster of a Revenge Plot at it's best. However if I was an active player controlling Abby after witnessing what she did to one of the best characters in all gaming, I would not have been able to play further.

    I want to give a negative score because of the wasted opportunity to see Joel & Ellie triumph over all obstacles. However as I continued to watch and see the flashbacks of Ellie's and Joel's relationship it was amazing.

    I enjoyed witnessing Ellie's quest for revenge but was left feeling empty by the ending (I assume this is what was intended) but to spend the entire game seeking for revenge but to let Abby go was a poor decision on the part of the writers, one of many in my opinion.

    So in short I understand why Game Journalist gave this such high reviews, but I absolutely understand why it is getting review bombed now.    … Expand

    Everything else seriously sucked. I think Naughty Dog shines when they steal the story line from a novelist without paying any royalty.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. a massive disappointment for a sequel of a masterpiece. The story is basically a force-fed SJW propaganda with awful pacing. Political correctness agenda definitely felt throughout the story. The story itself while trying to carried a great message was poorly planned and executed The fact that they killed the beloved MC from the first game, Joel in the very beginning did not help to win over the fans. The death of your old main character did not matter if the story was well written, which is not in the case this game. The ending was awful and left a lot to be desired. The game mechanics and control felt clunky and showed little to none improvement from the first game or the last Naughty Dog games, Uncharted 4. The AI is decent but felt a little bit like a downgrade then the previous title. The only redeemable side of this game was the graphics and the design. I'm glad that played this game using my cousin's digital copy from his account because this game is not worth my money.… Expand

    Great visuals and it is a improved game on the first one. But the great story is what I play the first game for and it left me pretty disappointed with the decisions naughty dog decided to make for this one.
    Such a disappointment after such a long time waiting.

    I gave it a 2 because the voice acting and graphics are beautiful but the story was distasteful and quite frankly a mess. It felt pointless in the end.

    A lot of people don't like this game, except me. the last of us 2 may not be as expected in terms of game ending, but I think that ending might be an open ending for the publisher to continue developing part 3 of this series. The gameplay is excellent

    This Game in combination with Part 1 tells the best story I've ever seen in media (movies,video games and other).
    It's funny to see how many people reviewed this game before they even played through the Intro and how many people that did play the entire game, don't understand anything about the first Game and the second game.

    But don't blame naughty dog for giving you the opportunity to decide which way you want to play this game. Of course the graphics are impressive and the mechanics are a true improvement over the first game but that's not the part that makes this game great. It's the story and if you don't like it I won't blame you for it but if you're saying it's bad in generally you have no idea what you talking about. But let me say this;
    If you loved the first game then this game will absolutely make you feel every single emotion that Ellie feels. If Ellie shakes you shake. If Ellie feels pain you feel pain. If she laughs you'll laugh and if that doesn't convince you that this game has a great way of telling a story you should may question yourself what you expect from a video game.

    So Please don't focus on the negative reviews of this game because most of the people have no idea what they're talking about. My advice;

    If you want to play for the gameplay and the graphics and don't really care about the distortion made in the storyline with this sequence then you'll love TLOU Part II, but if you do care about the story and like me, don't appreciate political/ideological **** forced in your gameplay then you're better off playing some other game that did not surrender to that.

    My Score:
    The Game is a story, the gameplay and graphics are mere tools to tell it. If graphics were that important then minecraft wouldn't be even known by anyone and would be called trash, which is not the case. Graphics are important, but many amazing games we played in the past are still amazing even with their old graphics. So from what really matters, the story, i can give a solid zero to this game, that as i pointed many times, has chosen to inser something that don't belong to the game world: Politics and Ideology. If you want to disseminate your ideological thoughts go right ahead with a brand new game, with a official note, with a twitter post, who cares, but don't mess with my game to do that.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
