    Completely utter shambles! Surely a part 2 means a continuation of the amazing story of the first game but apparently not. I recommend if you loved the first game do NOT buy this petty revenge story.

    The first one was a true masterpiece and the second when we speak abou graphics and gameplay is good but the turned the story in to trash, if you play because you want a good story thinking about the first one you will lose your will to play after 2 hours or so

    I don't want to just compare it with TLOU1 but I think this will help some readers:

    Gameplay 10/10 - everything you love frome the first game, additionaly more enemies, added a dodge move as asmall mechanics for better expression of skill. melee combat feels AMAZING. Graphics 10/10 - just beautiful, haven't played a game with better graphics tbh. Leveldesign 10/10 - you still have    I don't want to just compare it with TLOU1 but I think this will help some readers:

    Graphics 10/10 - just beautiful, haven't played a game with better graphics tbh.

    Leveldesign 10/10 - you still have the small linear parts like in the first game; so there is no going back. but the individual parts feel like an open world. sometimes I got lost after messy fights, but you get clues where to go pretty fast. Leveldesign is more diverse and got more interesting puzzle than "find latter and place".

    Game Feel 10/10: JUICY!

    Story and Storytelling: 10/10, I personally love how the world evolved, and i like the answers to open questions just as much as how you start thinking about whats right and wrong after playing it.
    The Storytelling is just as beautiful as in the 1st game, thats for sure.

    Takes the character development from the first game we all love and sets it on fire while almost torturing Ellie repeatedly, coupled with an unfilfilling ending leaves a bad taste in players mouths.

    You all know what happens by now. But you know what’s the worst thing? They actually managed to ruin the first game. Imagine how bad you have to be at writing if you’re able to do that. I loved part 1, it’s in my top three of best games ever. I wish I could unsee everything that has happened in part 2. I wish only part 1 existed and it was just an open end.

    It is my opinion that no game is a 10. This is because I want every company to strive to always better everygame they make. I believe Naughty Dog has made a superior game in almost every facite to the first one. The graphics are the best of the generation. The story over halfway through the first playthrough has me as emotionally invested as any game I have every played. Maybe it helps that I didnt read anything about spoilers or other otherwise that were leaked. I don't think it would have made a difference.

    The game play is bestter than the first in nearly every way. I feel like the controls fit the type of game very well. Though that being said a few things I would have like to have seen improve is the infected. I enjoy everything but the evolution i expected in the infected doesn't really exist.

    I will play through this game at least twice is my guess. It truly is an amazing send-off to an amazing generation of video games. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't get to experience the games greatness.    … Expand

    Everything the first game has built, was ruined in this game. No body cares about the character sexuality. its written well then no problem. But that is not the case here. Joel deserved a better death. Characters act out of characters is the problem. Lets look at Joel, someone who does not trust anybody, it took an entire game for him and Ellie trust eachother and love eachother.

    Joel who could sens trouble miles away. Suddenly is surrounded with strangers and is stupid enough to give his accrual name? Are you kidding me. Gets killed by a ugly looking woman. Abby whos arms are bigger then my legs, and in fact her arms where smaller at the Paris trailer. Somehow it wasnt enough.

    After she killes joel. I hated her. And then i was forced to play her to kill Ellie? And El is the now the antagonist?

    This story could have gone much better. And sins this is a story based game, it only deserves my generous highest rating.

    I want to write this review because I don't understand the low user score. People are saying the ruined the story but for me the story took an obvious root. I feel as though naughty dog wanted to make you feel uncomfortable while playing the game. As far as all the people upset about the "SJW" story line this isnt the case and I somewhat believe naughty dog placed them there just to piss people of the story feels real and while I hated feeling some of the stuff I did - Sometimes in life there is not a happy ending and we just have to move on.… Expand

    Нет слов. Игра замечательная. Геймплей на высоком уровне. Про графон вообще молчу. Звуковое сопровождение отличное. А то что можно играть на гитаре - первый раз вижу такое. Поставил бы 100/10 щелкунов но нельзя.

    Over 10 hours in game and absolutely loving it. A huge fan of the first game and so far this game is delivering on par experience with the first one. It is much more cruel but still stays charming and has lows and highs.

    Story wise it is full of twists and always makes you guess what's next. Gameplay is a masterpiece, so many details in this game. Huge appreciation for the developer,    Over 10 hours in game and absolutely loving it. A huge fan of the first game and so far this game is delivering on par experience with the first one. Killing the main character after an hour of play, why ???? Ellie is a lesbian, bro. Sex scene, why, and in the end you leave this whore alive, her father died, what does it matter and Ellie has no parents, so what, now she has to kill the whole world even though she has already done it. Joel did it and Abby the whore knew, she came for revenge, if she killed all hers. The story sucks, a lot of looking back… Expand

I Pre-Ordered The Game Despite The Leaks Simply Because I Wanted To Play It For Myself & Wanted Something Fresh To Play.. Since I’ve Pretty Much Beat Every Game I Have About Literally 3-5 Times. I Already Knew Exactly What I Was Getting Myself Into So I Can’t Be That Upset That I Wasted The $60. The Very Beginning Of The Game Was Great But I Was Quickly Shocked To See That You’d Already Be Playing Abby So Soon Into The Game.. I Decided To Keep A Open Mind & Let The Story Try To Change My Perspective On The Character. I Truly Don’t Understand Why Joel & Tommy Decided To Trust Abby So Quickly As To Give Up Their Names..     No spoilers. Story is terribly unplayable. I cannot relate to anything that's going on and after waiting so long for part 2 , going back and experiencing part 1 and having that band with characters is definitely not in part 2

    This game is amazing. The User Score is mainly a bunch of Xbox Players, and they are down-voting this game. I switched from Xbox to PlayStation just for these types of games. Thank you Naughty Dog for a captivating and thrilling experience.

    Laughing at the internet right now. Brilliant game, story is beautifully well-crafted (sometimes slightly missing the mark, but as a long time fan it still hits the core perfectly) and technologically beautiful

    Story took a hard turn, but was still extremely heartfelt, brutal and hit the chords of the first game in some of my most emotional moments ever on a video game.

    I feel like you are not allowed to say bad things about this game or you are labeled as a homophobe even though your criticism is completely against something else in the game.
    What people actually dislike here is the story, which is something that a 15 year-old fan fiction writer would come up with.

    Neil has been watching way too much Game of Thrones because of this; "ha ha guess you didn't expect this to happen huh?!" Out of nowhere unexpected **** happening doesn't equal good Neil.

    In the game devs make you kill, burn, cut, curb stomp people, and then they make you feel like the bad guy because you did that **** even though you had no choice.

    The going back and forth with Ellie and Abby was just **** stupid.
    Yeah make me play with a character I don't care for 10 hours holy ****
    I was literally speed running while playing with Abby just to get it over with.

It really is a shame they’ve shoved politics and inclusivity to the forefront of one of the greatest games of all time.     Never did I think they would do that to our beloved characters from the first game. The second portion of the game becomes extremely mundane and boring and makes you not want to continue. Gameplay was good for the first few hours but becomes boring very quickly. The story was not well written and there was obvious political pandering.

    The plot is so bad, characters are so unlikable. I am not against woke agenda, it's fine, but don't sacrifice a good plot for this, make feminist characters likable, the ending is bad. The game is a failure. I just don't want this trend to continue in games, so 0 is pretty much a good score to express it.

    Nice to look at but the gameplay is even more repetitive than the first, doing nothing to take the franchise forward, and the miserabilist story is abysmal and completely rips up everything you did in the first game, it just felt so pointless after paying all that money.

    Naughty Dog are too far up their own backsides to make a good game at this point.

    Logical consequences to what happened in the first game and the game is a technical masterpiece. Best graphics/physics i've seen on a console. Really enjoyed the plot, felt realistic and didn't try to cater towards the parts of the fanbase that didn't understand the implications of what happened at the end of TLOU1. I give it a 10. Looking forward to 3.

    Great game. Just because the story doesn’t go the way you want, it doesn’t mean that it’s not an enjoyable experience. Amazing visuals and voice acting as always. Combat and stealth is greatly improved. Don’t listen to the review bombers!

I really liked the game and I advise everyone to buy it, because such games are extremely rare for obvious reasons related to their development. The game shows that the people who created the game put their soul into it. The LGBT agenda is there, but it’s very insignificant and you even don’t notice, because the summons in other games are much more obvious and spoil the game.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let's start with scholarly reviewed and scientifically proved results, shall we? To show that we, the gamers, did not give low scores because we are homophobic or close-minded.
    So, video game researchers have found out about the special bonds between the player and the avatar, when we are experiencing a video game experience, we, are our characters. We emotionally immersed in the game and become that character. When we play AC2, we are Ezio Auditore, when we play Uncharted, we are Nate Drake, when we play CoD4, we are Soap. That's why when Ezio Auditore trys to sneak into the enemy stronghold and got spotted, then forced to go berserk, you as the player will say: "y'all forced me, I didn't wanna kill you all!"
    Thus, when we play The Last of Us, we are the family man who was forced into the smuggler, we are the father figure who lost his treasure, we are the mercenary who unprofessionally developed a father-and-daughter relationship his the "shipment"; We Are Joel.
    We love Ellie, of course, who doesn't love their daughter. Who doesn't love the little girl who put the hope of the whole damn world on her shoulders when she was still that young. But we love Joel more, because that is us. We don't say it though, because we are "Michael" from "Long live play", that's what we do. We don't brag about our achievements, we've saved the world for more than 50 times already, different worlds. That is the biggest mistake of ND for this game. What charms us about TLoU, is not Ellie, is not the adventure, is the relationship between Joel (us) and Ellie. You remove one, you remove us.
    So ND did not kill Joel, the male main character of TLoU. He killed us. In a way that, let me quote Deadpool on this one, "That's just LAZY writing." People don't let their guard down in a post-apocalyptic world, especially the type of people who Joel is, a survivor. If you tell me that age has got on Joel that he is not as fast, as strong, as persice, or even as smart, I will be OK with it. But you tell me Joel is not as vigilant and walked into a trap? That's just LAZY.
    But I'm OK with killing off Joel. The franchise has to move forward, and as a media scholar, I respect that. But ND clearly missed out on the second charm of the first TLoU: Joel's final decision.
    The first game is created around the battle between the sense and the sensibility. It started from the part where the G.I. was ordered to shoot Joel and his daughter, to the argument between Joel and his partner, to the relationship development between Joel and Ellie, ended with Joel's final decision: screw the world, family first.
    Sensibility and emotion, has been the decision-making guideline throughout the whole game. This was also the decision-making guideline throughout the second game as well, until Ellie's last decision: letting Abby walk. That is why the decision feels so, weird. I am not saying let Abby walk is wrong, but the writing did not provide strong enough support for the players to make the same decision with the provided guideline of Sensibility and Emotion.
    Keep in mind, the theme of the game is not revenging Joel, it's revenge for OURSELVES. Joel did not kill Abby's father, we killed him, because he was trying to kill our freaking daughter, whatever the reason maybe! Was it wrong? Of course. Is Abby justified to kill us? Sure! So is it justified that we kill Abby to revenge OURSELVES? You better say yes! So in the end, ND was not asking us to let Joel's murderer walk, they were asking us to let OUR OWN murderer walk. If you have good reasons and give the players the chance to sync with Abby and let the players become Abby, it's might actually work. Yet, the writing was so poor and the theme of the game was so solidly set that I don't even want to play as Abby at all. Hell, I don't even want to watch the walkthrough for that part. The writing of this game is too weak. The whole game is following your sensibility and emotion, and in the end, ND broke the consistency and make a decision that is 100% the opposite of it. No wonder it feels so wrong.
    So this game tells me two things. 1st, there are a lot of dumb people working in high places in big corporations. 2nd, video game makers, please consult academic researchers to make sure that you know what your targeted audiences think. Because right now, ND is clearly pissing off their main targeted audience: video game players.

Naughty Dog ruined a Masterpiece. The game is more disappointing and bad than i was expecting. I didn't want to play anymore but I forced myself to end this game. In the end, it wasn't worth it for me to buy this game because i'm more disappointed than satisfied. The end of part 2 is horrible and a huge flop for me. There are more negative than positive things i could say about Part 2. This definitely ruined my day and life.… Expand

    Cara o jogo pela primeira vez que joguei nunca me deixou ta perdido e curioso pra saber o que ia acontecer na historia e isso foi incrivel diferente do 1 a nossa meta era uma vingança e nao chegar a um hospital.alem da gameplay que foi excelente esse sistema de combate parecido com 1 mas foi um pouco modificado a exploracao tbm melhorou bastante

    The game is not as bad as it seems. Sure, the story could’ve been a bit better but it wasn’t overall that bad. I enjoyed the game a lot and am hoping for some more story dlc and maybe even return the multiplayer. Overall I think this game is a 10/10
