    Dated gameplay with boring characters and an awful story. Waiting 7 years for such a botched game is heart breaking. The only thing going for this game is the hard work in the environments. Horrible story.

    Gameplaywise TLOU2 is a very solid game. More on the stealthy end than a survival, item managing one. Game always makes sure you'll end up with enough stuff in your pocket to deal with the various situations (mostly a team of bandits) and if everything fails you can just cqc them. Elimination isnt' always key, though. What hurts this direction are scripted events where enemies just won'tGameplaywise TLOU2 is a very solid game. Elimination isnt' always key, though. What hurts this direction are scripted events where enemies just won't die until something happens. It couldn't scream louder "hey kids, it's just a game!". We had that in TLOU1 too but today in our time it just destroys the illusion of an actual living world behind the screen. And speaking of kids, if you play the game, they should be sleeping. TLOU2 is brutal. And not the fun, DOOM way of brutal. It's miserable. People scream their lungs out if they die and our charakter looks often like a complete "nonstabil person" covered thick in blood which could make your stomach turn. Grafics, soundtrack and atmosphere are superb. 30FPS aren't a problem cause the frame rate never breaks in. What isn't superb though is the convoluted story. The elephant in the room. And I'm not talking about the "controversy", where you just role your eyes for a moment and move on. No the story is not working on a basic level. "Last Jedi Luke throws his Lightsaber away" kind of not working. In a franchise that is story driven this effects everything and it simply destroys. Even its own message. What also hurts is the constant back and forth via playable flashbacks but in the light of the non working plot this comes off rather as an inconvenience. It's 25 to 35h long depending of your playstyle but the last 10h or so you just want to get over with it cause of all the plot nonsense happening. Last time I felt that depressed and hollow was probably The Evil Within 2. Which I never ever touched against since. There we are now.… Expand

    This completely raises the bar for gaming as a whole. Naughty Dog has thrown down the gauntlet and set a whole new standard of artisanship, story writing, world building, detail, and animation. Gameplay takes TLOU into a whole new universe while expanding on the energy that made the first game so immersive. Now it’s up to every other gaming studio to try and keep up...

    The Last of us part 2 is literal trash, don't waste your money. The first game was so amazing and one of my very favorites. So sad how Neil Drukmann along with the rest of leftist feminist sjw Naughty Dog company has ruined this once great franchise. It had so much potential but has now all been wasted. All to further their progressive pushing feminist sjw loving agenda. Do not support this steaming pile of **** that they call a game.     The graphics are amazing, the controls are smooth, it’s incredibly cinematic, and it fills the player with intense emotion as they play as Ellie seeking vengeance. What more could you ask for from an amazing first game and a 7 year wait! Overall the game is enjoyable in both its play style and story.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First I'll start with the pros. The graphics are amazing there is no denying that. And the gameplay while being nothing special is still pretty good, if you like the gameplay of TLoU 1 you will like 2. But aside from a few other superficial positives that's about it. The cons on the other hand are devastating, I get what they were going for with their anti-revenge narrative but they completely counteract that by having you mercilessly kill dozens of people to find Abby without a second thought only to say violence is bad when you find Abby herself. In the end the point comes across more as it's okay to kill all of the people around the person who wronged you or a loved one, but that person themselves is off limits. Because of this ending the player is left unsatisfied as nothing was ever really accomplished during the game.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So 1/10 to be VERY generous, and here's why. With Minor Spoiler in what I say. Also, I quite frankly pity those ppl that spent Hundreds of dollars on the huge box, because I'll be honest Naughty Dogs ripped of us on this game.

    First off I'm beyond pissed at Naughty Dogs to have spoiled the entire storyline in the very second trailer of the game about a year ago. Other than the 2 trailers I steered clear of all and any LoU2 info to make sure that nothing would be spoiled, and yet within 1 hr of play I knew the entire story...

    Second I go nothing of what was promised to me. For more than half the game have to play as Abby, a person that the devs are trying to make "human" or endearing towards the player, while I couldn't give 2 **** about her, just because of the brutality and unfair justification that her "target" "got what he deserved, altho he deserved more..." Who gives a **** about her... and then, to add insult to injury, the devs want to me to kill Ellie using Abby. A R E T H E Y O U T O F T H E I R F U C K I N G M I N D S !!!!!!

    Also (and it's hilarious even in the synopsis here it still says so) the story happens 4 years AFTER Salt Lake City, NOT 5. The game itself hammers that point home very often and from the very get-go of the story.

    I loved the first game, and Ellie was a big part of it, the only issue I had with the first game was, that I didn't play long enough as Ellie. That's why I was sooooooo excited when this one was announced, "Yay I'll play the whole game as Ellie" I thought to myself... And then, I start the game, I'm Joel, then Ellie for like 5 min, then I'm Abby for longer than I was on Ellie, then Ellie again for a few dozen mins, then Abby again for as long as I was on Ellie... And by that point, I knew the entire plot... Nothing unknown left to discover, some plot-based questions raised by the story development that I'm trying to piece together and unravel, nothing like that, just a big ol' "yeah Abby and her friends are those ppl that are looking for this guy to kill him, and he we got to avenge him..."

    Another minor thing, Ellie felt different in this one. It felt to me like she lost some of her sassiness and spunk that she had in the first game, 2 elements that are among the reasons I fell in love in with her in the first place.

    The pacing of the story is also abysmal. Especially when you are forced to play as someone you don't even want to play, then the amount of flashback for both Ellie and Abby makes it worst. And the ending.. OMFHG! Worst possible ending. I hope this game soooo many negative reviews and bombs (in a negative way) so much that Naughty dogs NEVER wants to announce a 3rd title... because its the only obvious possible reason for THAT specific ending they gave us. Its even more open-ended or sequel oriented ended than Horizon Zero Dawn ever was.

    And to think that the announcement of this title is the only reason I bought a ps4 for... what a waste of money...    … Expand

The characters are dumbed down and the story is nowhere near logical, we play the entire game on a revenge spree where the game forces us to kill several human characters and by the end teaches us to refrain from violence, like it never occurred to us before. Hideo Kojima gave us a lesson of not using violence in MGS 3 Snake Eater and that worked way better than here because that game never forced us to murder people. The gameplay is nearly the same as its predecessor. 3/10 for only for Ellie singing Take on Me, that was freaking beautiful.… Expand

I’ve never been one to comment or do a review but the last of us 2 has taken a a piece of me away in ways I can’t explain. How can you honestly make us go through majority of the game as Abby after what she did in front of our eyes/Ellie’s eyes? It felt like naughty dog is making a mockery of what made the first game such a gem and throwing everything that mattered away. I was just sad everytime i saw Ellie and Joel because it kept reminding me of what I lost and what they gave me instead. This is just a shame...a real shame.… Expand

They use LGBTQ+ characters as a shield against any hate they get. False marketing is at its fullest here. Bear in mind YOU PLAY AS THE VILLAIN FOR 11 HOURS!!! It's **** lazy and downright disgusting writing. I am glad that it was leaked, if only i were to save my time and money. This game is so bad, it even ruins the first game for me, and I am shocked and furious that these guys get away with this. This game lacks everything the first game had.

    Don't even get me started on the ending. The ending is terrible, it is **** it is a waste of space and a literal **** joke.

    Ok, so imagine if John Wick, at the end of his rampage, **** APOLOGISES to the guy who killed his dog. That would not even **** happen. I didn't **** understand the ending I was seeing.

    I loved this game. They tackle extremely hard topics and themes. It pulls zero punches and forces players to struggle with the emotions of the characters. You slowly empathize with the cast and is a very interesting look at what and "us vs them" mentality. I hope people play the game and really look at what this game was able to accomplish.

    和场景交互也是做到了前无古人的细致。
    然后说到被大家所诟病的剧情，确实在理性上我能够理解所有的角色的行为动机。但是我确实是无法喜欢起来。 （身边的朋友甚至有很多奇怪的理论 就是如果艾比长得漂亮些他就能理解艾比）
    不过就谈谈我的感受 ，因为我也是游戏行业的从业者 所以我在游玩一款游戏的时候是无法做到完全感性的沉浸在一款游戏里。我甚至在乔尔受到虐待的时候还在思考 在这边顽皮狗是否会让玩家去操纵挥杆。
    我还是支持顽皮狗再这个顺应市场的游戏业界内做出这样的反市场的作品 有尝试才有突破。

The gameplay is no different from the tomb raider. secondary plot. terrible ending. but good technical part, stable fps on ps slim, nice graphics. but this game focuses on the plot. Total: technical part at 7/10, 3/10 story part. but this game has been waiting for many years, a lot advertised. But passing the first time IThere are no memorable moments in the game. Except for one scene.     Very good game. The soundtrack, graphics, game mechanics and storytelling is in a league of its own. The second part of the series had all odds against it, but naugthy dogg managed to do the impossible and make a game that makes sense in relation to the first game and is able " to stand on its own feet" in a perfect balanced way. 10/10

    This game is absolutely amazing! it is a real improvement from the already great first installment. The pacing is really well done and the story keeps drawing me in. T~hey got rid of some annoying mechanics of the first game and it feels like a much smoother experience. seriously one of the best i have ever played.

TLOU2 was for me 21hours of one epic ride full of emotions and I'm super glad, that devs let us play as Abby to get to know her and see what happened on the other side of story.
    Graphic 10/10, Audio 10/10, Cast 10/10, Gameplay 10/10, Writting&Story 9,5/10 (only because I would like to know what happened to Ellie and Abby after this ending).

    For haters of this game -> Joel lovers.. I get it, but you are idiots if you rate this game badly only because he died...

    She only revenged her father and let others lived. You can find out everything in part playing as her. She didn't intend to kill anyone except Joel since start.
    ...and there we have Ellie. Even after she found out that it's all about Fireflies revenge because of what Joel did. She is so dumb, she simply can't understand how much he **** up and doesn't realise Abby could be just someones daughter. So she is going to **** it up much more and kill every Abby's friend...

    Graphics and ambience is top notch so if you want to suffer while watching pretty things then be my guest.

    Overall they should of just made a prequel, now what kind of f up things Joel and tommy did to survive as it was implied in the first game. Give us a closer look on Tommy and the fireflies war against the army. Joels story how he turned the way he is. Honestly I liked Ellie but this game didn’t make her as fun to play and they got rid of her snarky witty attitude her most differentiated feature. Joel's death, is handled immensely well, it is a fitting end for a man who killed maybe hundreds of people remorselessly through his lifetime. The semi strained relationship between Ellie and Joel also feels appropriate with her knowing that he lied to her about the fireflies. It makes sense that she not trust him 100%. Graphically the game is a visual masterpiece and voice acting is top notch. Perfect 10… Expand

    После я чувствовал себя пустым, можно сказать находился в депрессии.
    Нам дают возможность поиграть за Элли, Джоела (вначале) и Эбби. Убийство Джоэла просто вызывает чувство, что вот Элли то отомстит, но какое-же нас ждет дальше разочарование.
    Если кратко описывать сюжет, то половина игры, когда мы играем за Элли, выглядит довольно-таки неплохо. Но когда дают сыграть за убийцу Джоэла( этакую почти бесчувственную машину для убийств) тебе не хочется ей сопереживать вообще. И разработчик такой, лэээ сопереживай там, да. К моменту прохождения, на 12 часу тебя просто тошнит от игры, даже если ты смотришь ее на Ютубе.
    2/10 и только за тот рабский труд, о котором все забыли. Было очень много сканадалов на эту тему. Что ж Псы теперь корпорация Зла, надеюсь геймдевы когда-нибудь поймут насколько все это СЖВ вшитое говно губит игры. И да я всегда нейтрально относился к меньшиствам. После этой игры - мое отношение крайне негативное, спасибо куколду Нилу и его поехавшей фемке. Надеюсь за 6 лет его подлизываний, Анита наконец даст ему понюхать ее вареник !

    -The gameplay is basically the same from 7 years ago with some minor tweaks. By now we have seen that in many games and it has started to show its age.
    -The game is padded as much as possible, which ends up feeling quite repetitive and even boring. There are a few way too long sections that could have been cut to make a bit shorter but tighter game.

    Conclusion:
    It is not a bad game but it is not a good game either. If you haven't play the first one you may enjoy this, but if you grew to love first game like I did I doubt that you would enjoy this.

Remember 99% of them haven't even beat the game. It had some sad parts but that's to be expected, just like the first.
