    The game is good, but for me the TLoU 1 is better. This part is little bit long, and somewhere boring. And a “little bit”... too pc and fenimin.

How can you even called that a "story for revenge" when the game force you to play the **** antagonist for 10h straight to somehow convince you that killing Joel was justified ? And at the very you don't even killed the **** antagonist after killing cold blooded every single one of her friends. Yikes. Imagine Kratos at the end of God Of War 3 walking toward Zeus and be like " oh no old man i'm not gonna kill you lol cya"
    Still giving it points for the Graphisms and the audio in general but people don't care about these when playing TLOU. They want heavy story telling and meaningful characters but don't expect that in this sequel.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us była grą na którą czekałem od jej zapowiedzi. Jedynka była wspaniała i miałem nadzieję że dwójka przebije poprzedniczkę :). Jednak tak się nie stało. Fabuła jest dla mnie nielogiczną i słabo napisaną historią. Myślałem, że znów zobaczę moją ulubioną dwójkę bohaterów z jedynki, którzy znów stawią czoła brutalności i niebezpieczeństwa otaczającego ich świata oraz że ich relacja jeszcze bardziej się rozwinie niż w pierwszej części. Cóż nie tego oczekiwałem jak dla mnie to ta gra ma najgorsza fabułę, która nie trzyma się kupy i przez to bardzo słabo odzwierciedla realia rzeczywistości w której żyją bohaterowie ale to nie to mnie najbardziej zdenerwowało. Przyczyną tego jest całkowita zmiana zachowania jak i sposobu myślenia bohaterów np: Joela jak to możliwe że z takim zachowaniem z dwójki jeszcze żył w tym piekle jakim była apokalipsa? W jedynce był cholernie ostrożny co przekonywało mnie do niego i do otaczającego go świata. A podobno przed premierą mieliśmy z nim spędzić większą część czasu w grze, a oni go ot tak w bardzo głupi sposób zabijają a nawet katują tylko po to by Elli miała prosty pretekst do zemsty a i tak na końcu jej niedopełnia? Przepraszam ale fabuła w tej grze to jakaś szopka jest. Co z tego że grafika i animacje są super ale i tak nie są doskonałe lepsze widziałem w RDR2 i to jest powód dawania przez recenzentów 10 na 10. To na co oni zwracali uwagę w tej grze, że według nich jest grą doskonałą? Niemającą żadnych niedociągnięć? Dla mnie fabuła w takich grach jest właśnie najważniejsza nawet kosztem grafiki. Właśnie w taki sposób rozkoszowałem się jej pierwsza częścią. Niestety całkowicie się tą grą przeliczyłem dałbym 5 ale za to jak obrzucili mnie twórcy gównem jest o jeden punkt mnie… Expand

    About 10 hours in and its almost all positive. Gameplay is great, graphics are next level, story line is full of drama and naughty dog didn't try to get too fancy with anything. I just wish there were more weapon gear customizations but not a big deal. 9/10 so far.

    The graphics are amazing, Story is really good, the combat is a little more better than the first, while it would be nice if it was expanded a little more, the Characters seem pretty fleshed out and like the first game, it gives you back ground information about the world and characters around you. the Flaw may be with the AI's

    Game Thoughts:
    I will not Spoil anything about the game. The game does have mature visuals, reason its a 18 (mature) so if your not comfortable with that, then this game isn't really for you, if you love semi open areas to explore with amazing technical marvel graphics and gorgeous visuals then sure explore with your hearts content, spend more time exploring, get details of the back story just like the first one did, you can also find optional Scenes scattered around and talkative dialog here and there too, the game has a lot of good in it, the only Bad thing i would say honestly is the AI, its still not as good, but it is better than the first game, well the allied AI is. The Game has some sexual content in it, it is a 18 so of course its allowed, just sort of wish, in my opinion, the weed scene (no spoilers) was more intimate though, don't really mind scenes like this as long as its to expand on the Characters themselves and not just there for a 'SJW' or 'Woke' reason.

    Why My Score?
    Well simple, because Everything, in my opinion, is Really well made. The game looks and feels great and with some improvements the game could be a perfect game. Note, 10 doesn't mean it is perfect because there is never a perfect product. The final score am giving it just means i would recommend it to others and think it can be the best game of the year (so far).

    Edit: No game this amazing looking Deserves a 0 score, the graphics alone could give at least a 6, even if you hate the game you cant believe that it Deserves no score on how gorgeous it looks but most reviews I've seen rates it unfairly, slapping it with a bad score with no reason but a line, that is not a fair score, i personally rather see what people think about the whole game not the first hour of it and i rather be honest as possible when am Recommending games to others. The game doesn't have a online competitive mode, it doesn't have loot boxes and it doesn't have shady practices so its a win for me no matter how bad the story gets, its still an amazing looking game with really good single player aspects to it.    … Expand

    I am very sad to write this... The part 1 was more than a game, it was the experience of a lifetime. The part 2 was the greatest dissapointment i ever had. Games are supposed to be enjoyable and unfortunately this one was not. I just hope now i can forget it ever existed.

    The game looks great and I do love the wide variety of accessibility features they added. On a mechanical level the gameplay itself is decent, but it's nothing you haven't seen before in similar games. But in a story driven game like TLoU2 these things are just footnotes at best.     Characters that were cunning killing machines in the first game were turned into bumbling baffons. The game is full of shallow dialogue unmemorable characters, who are forgotten as soon as they leave the screen. The climax of the story only works if you care about both of the main characters; sadly the game doesn't provide anything meaningful that would make you actually care about Abbie.
    We get so see a few beautiful Ellie-Joel moments in flashbacks (Ellie and Joel in the museum is easily the best part of the game). Sadly these flashbacks don't make the player feel better about TLoU2, since they only serve as a reminder of what this game could have been .    … Expand

    This game is just perfect. Perfect in it's stupidity. It can't get any worse than this. I can't believe we lost Amy Hennig's ND for a dumb turd of a game like this. That story was just a huge insult to all the fans. Great way to appeal to the .01% of the population, who isn't even part of ND's fan base. Bring back the old Naughty Dog.

    Beloved characters are destroyed. Joel is killed within the first few hours. Characters make dumb, illogical choices. New characters are unlikable.

    Many many scenes are disturbing and feel like violence for the sake of violence.
    Bad thing after bad thing happens. With all the depression in 2020, this is not something the world needs.

Game was not rewarding and the ending sucked. Ellie never got to have her moment. She lost her father figure, her family and her fingers. Goes on a quest for a revenge and kills a bunch of people to get to the person that killed Joel to then decide that killing is bad and allows the murderer to get away. The 1st game story was alot better (story). Terrible experience! Don't play , save your time and money!… Expand

    Most of the characters behaves like the world is fine and the apocalypse is not a big problem. Some of the characters are very unbelievable and bad written. You can feel the political agenda in every second of interaction with this character.
    I didn’t like the story of the game. There are many sad and intensive moments but overall I just didn’t care. What they did to Joel is bull***t. I can’t imagine, that anyone who played the first game would feel okay with it.
    So the story gets 0 Points, it’s nothing like the story of the first game.

    Overall I think the game is okay for people who didn’t play the first game, although they wouldn’t understand many of the little details. I didn’t enjoy the game, especially when it forced me to play as Abby for many hours, I hated it. The exploration of the world was fun and I enjoyed the graphics and all the little details. But the story and the characters killed the game for me, so I don’t recommend it to the fans of the first game.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I finished the game yesterday and had been waiting in anticipation for this game for months. The hype was real. Naughty Dog has the reputation of making magic with video games and I'd hoped that TLOU2 would be a masterpiece too. The game starts off slow with rustic guitar piece all familiarising you with the setting that this is based in. Humanity has survived and they have build settlements with electricity and other niceties, life seems to go on within such settlements oblivious to the ongoings of the outer world. Jackson is one such community. Joel and Ellie live her with other support cast (Tommy, Dina and Jesse). They are estranged owing to what happened in the first part. Yet they have some fondness for each other. Joel is killed off almost immediately by Abby in spite of the fact that he just saved her (Motive : Abby's father was killed by Joel while trying to rescue Ellie from the hospital). Yet I'd have preferred some empathy for a man that just saved her life. Also it was anti climactic to see Joel being so naive and walk into a trap. This sets Ellie on crazy revenge path. They (Ellie, her girlfriend Nina, Tommy and Jesse) go to Seattle separately and start knocking WLF numbers down. WLF is the group that Abby is part of. They kill of Abby's friends and this ticks Abby off and she kills few of Ellie's and just about the time she is to kill Ellie (15 hours into the game), we are set onto Abby's flash back (Frustrating). The game now forces us to relive what Abby was doing for three days when Ellie was killing her friends.This is a solid ten hour nightmare with a person that you have been bought to hate. Extremely inconsequential stuff with random NPC's added (Lev and Yara), you do fetch quests for them, forge relationship with Owen (Teenage sweetheart who is married) and manage to survive while being an outcast from WLF. Also by the end of ten hours you don't start empathizing with Abby but are rather focused on getting over the tedium and completing the game. The gameplay mechanics while upgraded (jump, prone, rope usage etc.) are nothing to write home about and the shooting is exactly the way it was - clunky. The animations are fabulous and so is the art direction, the game looks like every last ounce of PS4 Pro's graphical prowess has been extracted There are wide open spaces which are awe inspiring and beautiful. You'd be able to visualise the nature in all its glory. However every destination needs you to enter a dingy dark building filled with infected, use the environment in some twisted way or fight random group of enemies. I used to dread when the game required me to go somewhere which was more than two blocks away. The stealth works just till it doesn't and the enemy AI is laughable. Now since you have put 20 odd hours (10 of them as Abby), you really need a fantastic climax to make it worth it. But to our dismay once we are bought back to present in the theater, nothing of that sort happens and an ancillary character Lev belonging to SCARS (WLF's nemesis) clan (had saved Abby's life) requests Abby to not kill Dina & Ellie and Abby agrees. Next off we are shown that Ellie and Dina are living the perfect farm life with Dina's son keeping them company (The game doesn't end here too).Tommy who miraculously survived getting shot, stirs the hornets nest by stating that he knows where Abby is. This sets off Ellie on one another mission (Noooooo). The game by this point feels drab and dragged by 10 hours.     The story:
    I couldn't asked for a better opening to this game, the first 2 hours into this game were really beautiful, the flashbacks were really touching and such a thoughtful idea from the writers. The transition to 4 years later was epic, i loved how we dive into Ellie's new world, and we get to witness this conversation with her new people, jesse was a good addition to this small journey we had at the beginning, their conversation had some mystery as we get to discover what Ellie is up to as they talk about Dina who we haven't met yet, so the beginning here is something i have enjoyed, I enjoyed the acting so much and their small trip/ then we get to play as a character we don't know, and then I started losing interest, i signed up to play as Ellie and joel for this game not Abby, and if the creators thought we would feel sorry for abby as we play her, they thought wrong, we could have understood her pain through Ellie's perspective, this game could have been about forgiveness!
    I wasn't against the idea of joel's death, but it was brutal, and happened way too soon!
    I loved the company of dina through this revenge journey, very cool idea, what i didn't like is tommy going first!!!
    Then again, neil gave his Ellie unnecessary trauma and pain for nothing, he could have given her a happy ending and end of story i wouldn't be mad right now that he ruined a character i cared about!
    so i hated playing as the enemy, i don't see any philosophy behind this stupid 2 perspectives, and at the end they could have given us the choice of killing her or not!
    plus it was selfish of neil to destroy those characters, there was no open mind for me, and abby was a useless addition, plus anger takes of her when joel is died, so again we were angry and we HATE HER. anyways why Ellie had to lose 2 fingers, isn't this fiction for god's sake?

    however;

    the story leaves a lot to be desired, and as this is a game that should be focused primarily on storytelling and character development, i cant give this game higher than a 2/10. The ending feels very unsatisfactory, as you're progressing through half the game as ellie trying to defeat abby, a goal which seems nearly impossible to start your journey with. When you finally reach a point where that goal is in sight, Ellie just leaves it behind. Her torture throughout this game has no payoff to it. she loses very close friends, only for it to mean nothing in the grand scheme of the plot. And dont even get me started on playing as Abby. I couldnt stand it. Her motivations are unjust when you look at the reasoning behind her fathers death, and you have to play as her after she beats Joel to death in front of our protagonist, then get there yourself. This games story is undesirable at best, and i dont think the franchise can be redeemed past this game. I hope anyone reading this enjoyed it, but I couldnt.    … Expand

    My approach for this review is getting straight to the point (quick fire bullet points)
    the assumption is made that readers are familiar with the series or rather predecessor of this current iteration.

    1- Gameplay - this game personifies the "if its not broke dont fix it"" approach. the controls and game play is almost identical. its about survival and you need to be smart about how you manage your weapons. There is no new interesting weapons. And its the same old style of hide and take your time before attacking enemies.

    Enemy variations are limited in fact most are similar to the initial game for most of this game. AI can be questionable
    at times. More so with the new inclusion for enemy dogs , Ill just say this if a dog catches your scent i doubt the moving 2 metres away will make the dog loose you. )

    i hated that i felt more vulnerable in this game. Even though this game is relatively easy.

    2-Graphics and environment - this is the largest merit of the game. this is definitely the best thing about this game Naughty dog just has a style about their Last of Us and Uncharted series that is so amazing to witness. this game does not miss a beat on that point. Environments look largely the same and painfully linear with little open world.

    3- Story - The main issue here is the character themselves. their Actions are rather different from the first game. Characters that survived the first game seem regressed they some how trust strangers now. which gets them brutally killed. this includes the protagonist of the previous game whole is clearly not himself. Joel does not have a clear motive and this obviously leads to his death. The motive of his death is also not stemming from a previous choice the player was made aware of or given consent, Autonomy was disregarded and what seem like a moment of courage to preserve a little girls life in the first game led to a mans death. Ally then seeks revenge kills thousands of people and in the end finds Joels killer and opts for an Honorable battle which makes no sense because the character design of this character shows that she is defiantly superior in strength! in a segment of the game you are forced to play as this very unlikable character.

    Theres a weird sexual encounter all i can say on that is wow!!!

    4- Lastly My love for video games - The politics of the game ruin this game. This is taking a perfectly good hearted story and trying to challenge you for no reason with a plethora of plot holes. how are you getting buff in a damn apocalypse. Its ridiculous !!!! but its okay. but ignore the forth point its just my opinion.

    and by the way the apocalypse is ignored its just about religion and sexuality now. its crazy

I have been gaming since pong and this is the first series that has made real emotions come out. It made me feel deeply. I mean tears flushed face goosebumps Anger empathy all of it. The idea that this game is about “killing is bad” and “revenge” is far too shallow. This game is about being consumed by revenge, and how that can destroy everything you’ve worked to create.

    One of this things that makes this game a masterpiece and transcends just being a game, is how different two peoples opinions of the story can be. Not everyone is going to “enjoy” this story. It’s incredibly dark and disturbing and depressing. It can be hard to watch at times and during my play through I had to pause the game and pet my cats just to relax. While I was always compelled to continue on, I could see someone not wanting to or not being able to go on. But no matter what side you’re on, there’s a conversation to be had.

    The gameplay of The Last of Us Part 2 is far and away better than the first game. It takes what was a great foundation that had the rough edges of a PS3 game and makes it feel, in my opinion, better than any other game. One of the most incredible things I noticed gameplay wise was the combat arenas. They are so perfectly designed with so many options as to how to attack and hide and run away. Exploration is always rewarding and I found myself constantly scouring every corner of every building. I never got bored of fighting enemies, both human and fungal, and the puzzles were always challenging but never obtuse.

    I feel that everyone should play this game. Unfortunately, with the leaks and spoilers, many people are going to have a worse experience than they would have otherwise. That being said, those people should still experience the game. The leaks don’t do the story justice by any means. There is so much more to it that a few lines of text and cutscenes out of context can’t show off. This game is better than I could’ve ever imagined it would be and it goes past just being a good game. It is one of the best stories that has ever been told and it is a shining example of why games are art.    … Expand

    Great game, gorgeous graphics and strong (painfull) storytelling. The controls take some getting used to but by the end of the game I had no issues getting around. This game does something most games don't. It gets you to feel bad for the things you do. For example the dogs, I hate to kill them but seriously f*ck those dogs.

    It doesn’t feel like the first part, too many lesbians scenes, I have no problem with that but seems like they are trying just to make marketing with it

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
