    This game is every bit as good as the first. I’m not sure if all the negative reviews are from homophobes or people who just didn’t play for a couple no hours first to get the game and main story line going. I honestly suspect some homophobic group got together and decided to bash this game—just my opinion.

    I just finished the game. As I’m a big fan of the first game and I finished it 19 times with all the trophies, I was so hyped about part II and here's my opinion: gameplay and graphics are both amazing and there is no doubt about it. All the mechanisms, the dodge, and all these stuff just make the game more valuable. The story is not as good as the first one but it is still good and itI just finished the game. As I’m a big fan of the first game and I finished it 19 times with all the trophies, I was so hyped about part II and here's my opinion: gameplay and graphics are both amazing and there is no doubt about it. All the mechanisms, the dodge, and all these stuff just make the game more valuable. The story is not as good as the first one but it is still good and it suits tlou.     Honestly most dissapointing game of the generation for me. I saw the leaks but still wanted to go in open minded and enjoy the game for what it has to offer. While the gameplay is ok and the grafics are good everything about the story turned out to be even worse than exspected. First time being dissapointed with ND. I really don't get how all those reviewers brought this game up to a 95.

Un gran juego con grandes gráficas, gran jugabilidad fácilmente puede ser el mejor juego de PS4, pero no lo es por su historia floja y sobre todo mal ejecutada, la idea de matar a Joel es buena para el arranque de la venganza tanto de Ellie como la del jugador, la brutalidad que muestra es excelente y por eso intento matar a cada enemigo que se me cruza, tengo tanto odio hacia Abby que ni me interesa su parte de la historia solo quería verla muerta y también a ese niño de mierda, y que al final no puedas matarla es una patada a los huevos, si querían dar el mensaje de que la venganza no deja nada bueno era de otra forma, que Ellie mate a Abby y al niño de mierda y que después de eso al volver a casa esté sola, incluso después de vengar la muerte de Joel la persona que más la quiso en el mundo, se de cuenta que nunca más podrá ver a Joel de nuevo y así sintiéndose triste, sola, vacía y para terminar con el ciclo se hubiera suicidado y así cerrar la historia de nuestros primeros personajes y dejar el tablero limpio para una posible tercera entrega.

    But they completely ruined the franchise with this one. And don't get me wrong, the gameplay is fine (pretty much the same as the first game with a little more gimmicks) , and the graphics are great. But the last of us wasn't and never will be a fun game because of its gameplay, it's about the beautiful story that leads you through interesting plots and the interesting characters you meet along the way. But sadly this game does not have that. The story does not make sense, the characters are boring, the game is more like a pro LGBT community AD. Dont get me wrong. Whatever rows your boat, but I don't need to see two "men" literally having sex in a zombie game. And the best part is that Joel, the guy who brutally murdered atleast 200 humans and zombies in the first game, Dies within the first hour because the devs thought it was necessary to kill the main character in a humiliating way, even though you spent 15 hours playing him in the first game to build a story that was so boring and trash, to the point of asking myself why I 'm even playing this game...     Such a huge blow after years of waiting. "Critic" reviews are either fake or bought. How a game with nonsense game's plot, frustrating new characters can have 95 metascore. While this is technically a good game, the plot/characters is so bad, rest just doesn't matter. How can you enjoy emptiness without any meaning. If you're reading this and love game for its plot/characters, AVOID this game.

As bad as this game is the more worrying aspect is the mental stability or lack thereof of Neil Druckman, after forcing out legendary Writer/creative powerhouse Amy Hennig Neil seemed to take it upon himself to destroy The Last Of Us 2 by inserting politics and most alarmingly himself into the game
    He turned female characters into disgusting androgynous abominations, motion capped himself having sex with above mentioned androgynous abominations, featured himself on in game collectibles where he implied he was some kind of super genius, Brutally killed off a beloved main character for the crime of being a man and riddled the games diary entries and collectibles with gender politics and inter sectional ideology

    Inter sectional ideology is built upon a nebulous foundation of unfalsifiable hypothesis which directly contradict both observable reality and honest scientific research and most importantly has no place in a game about Mushroom zombies

    If you want a good laugh and have some spare time go and have a look at every video game "journalist" who gave this game a perfect score and you will start to see many similarities

    awkward moment when the gameplay is interesting, the graphics seem to be also beautiful, but the plot built around the stupidest twist, for the sake of a twist, as in games of thrones, destroys everything at the root. Suffice to say that if you are just a normal gamer this may be very off-putting. Also, the incredible brutality and violence throughout seems to serve no purpose. There's no glory, no funny moments, it's just downbeat and depressing. I can't understand how this can be so different from the first game which was heart warming and fun to play. What a terrible waste of 6-7 years of development. I wish they would leave their politics at the door with these games.… Expand

    Great visual, sound. Gameplay same as first part (good). But it has very poor story, boring and looks like it was written by 7 years old angry kid. Also it propagand vilence and chauvinist (thats why 1 score). Main charackter enjoy killing people and dogs (!!!). It is unopropriate and disgusting. Who wrote this just a psychopate.

Iniciei a história e - ao menos até onde pude ver - essa continua sendo uma produção a nível da Naughty Dog, o que já diz bastante por si - é uma pena que gamers de outras plataformas não possam compartilhar dessa experiência. Game shows what happends from two perspectives (Ellie, Abby), and what we see from Ellie perspective shows Abby from bad side, but when we play second character we understand why she did that. They made me play for 7+ hours as a character i despised. Furthermore, the skill tree and perks are serealized and locked which meant i had to sacrifice point for perks i didn't want to get through to the ones i wanted!     I finally finished the game and I just want to make it clear how disappointed I am. This game has so much potential but falls on its face more than anything I have ever seen. I'd like to list some pros for this game before I explain. The level design from a graphical standpoint and flow standpoint is incredible. The character models are amazing. Sound design is amazing, and finally, the controls and mechanics really do feel flawless. However, in a story-based game, all of those things don't matter if your story is a complete dumpster fire which this story is. Characters lack any sort of development. I literally don't care when anything happens to anyone, but Ellie. Every single one of them could die and it would not change how I felt about the game or them at all. The only time I feel any sort of emotion is in flashbacks because that's the only time I see any sort of character development at all. Otherwise, this game left me bored out of my mind. I found myself working through areas faster and faster just to get to the next cutscene in the hopes it would get somewhat better spoiler alert it does not. Most of the character development and good thought out story bits you're going to see are within the trading cards you can find throughout the map as collectibles and honestly, I'd rather read and collect all those than ever play this story again. The second issue I have with the game is with the ending I won't spoil it for anyone, but those of us that played the game understand how bad it truly is and I don't think that we would be having this discussion if it was at least a choice. However, it is not you are forced into the decision it makes, which I can guarantee is not the decision 95% of the player base would have made. The ending straight up feels like a slap in the face as you have worked the entire game for one goal and it makes all that work and effort useless. That's why I gave this game a 3/10, everything about the game is great except for the story which is a major issue in a story-based single player experience. To the team at Naughty Dog who worked on this game brushing up the mechanics, creating the environments, and working on the sound design you did an amazing job. To the team at Naughty Dog who wrote the story, I hope you never touch another project in your life. Just to reiterate this story is so poorly written that imagine if in Uncharted 4 instead of its ending Nathan gives up on his quest halfway through and goes home. That is basically how I felt after this story, honestly, I'd ask for a refund but at this point, I don't even care. I don't want to spend any more time thinking about this game, playing it, or writing about it; this is it. Finally, I am incredibly disgusted by the way Neil has handled the backlash. I'm aware this game has been review bombed but for those of us who actually played the game, his reaction to our criticisms seems like another blow to the gut. On Twitter, he's made jokes about the reviews and that's just a shame he can't admit to his own shortcomings and mistakes, but I really do expect nothing less from him as he's clearly shown he does not care about fans from the story he's written. That is why this game is a 3/10. I'd recommend never touching it, don't let it taint your opinion on the series like it did mine. Just know Ellie and Joel are out there surviving just like the end of The Last of Us and let it end there.     Neil Druckmann took a hell of a risk at the beginning of the game, and the rest of it is the damage control to that thing in the beginning. I personally think that risk was worth it. Neil didn't give you the cliche happy ever after scenario, he shows you the consequences of an action, and what's lead to affect lives of the others. We got the new story of revenge, redemption and forgiveness in one game, and it was beautiful. The game cuts ou deep with the gritty story element, plays with your feeling, and leave you with silent sorrow at the end.
    I must say that is some work that they have done, overall game looks amazing, the story is actually fresh, dramatic and merciless. Naughty dog you done well, i hope people can appreciate what you did with the time. But for now i think that all this negative reviews are totally unfair. You cant say the whole game is bad just of the 2 hours of the story, you need to play and pay attention to what is happening there.
    And to those who's feeling got hurt by the story, i say good for you, it is what is supposed to do. Sometimes is good when your feeling got hurt, it the only way that you can learn something of yourself and look at thing with different perspective, and in that you can discover something new.

    Also to note the clear difference between critics and users shows how utterly out of touch or bank rolled critics are; a terrible game.

    The game-play and the graphics are almost enough to cover up how **** the story is. I understand that not every story has a happy ending, but holy **** that's not what the fans wanted. All credits to the people who made the game work, but the guy who wrote the story should retire.

    It's funny how the people rate this game when they didn't finish it up on the first place. The percentage of people who finished this game is less than 1% and you can check that out by going to game trophy's. I finished 12 hours of the game and it's amazing but not perfect.

The gameplay was familiar, yet modern with new features, weapons and tools to use, as well as the new dodge feature. I feel as though the story was fantastic, with character development and interesting plot points scattered in the best places. Admittedly the death at the start upset a little, but unlike most people apparently, I saw it as a device which gives our protagonist a reason to do what she does. The antagonist was amazing, and by the end I liked her just as much as Ellie herself. I dont understand why this game is being reviewed so poorly. As a fan of the first game, I thought this was an entirely worthy successor and a beautiful and emotional end to a fantastic story arc.… Expand

    1st Technically:
    I Encountered 3 Times Texture Load in, 1 Time a Prop popped in and popped out regarding to the degree you looked at it, 1 Time Texture Clipping in a Place you you probably shouldn't even go. So that's a Solid 5 "Bugs" I encountered which is really good and impressive. Loading Times if you Play the Game in one Piece are 0, and you don't even know when something is loading, but you realise when you open a cold Save how much the Game hast to Load.
    For that I Give the Game 9,9/10.

    2nd Visuals:
    The Game looks Gorgeous, the best a Game has ever looked on PS4, the Characters are amazingly Designed and Detailed. The World is Rich and Beautiful and the Zombie's are what bad Dreams are made off.
    A solid 10/10.

    3rd Gameplay:
    So the Main Gameplay Loop is, Go somewhere, find a way in Kill some People, story sequence and go again. Till the End it doesn't feel exhausting or to repetitive so that's good but I wish the made the ending come a bit faster, did not enjoy the last 3 Hours marching to the end, but fine. You can fine tune your difficulty Settings to your liking, more Loot but hardest Enemies, easy sneaking but if they find you you Dead, or hard sneaking with forgiving enemies. It's all there.
    The Survival Mechanic is very similar to the first one but a bit tweaked, You can choose different approaches to every fight, tho when you do it loud there are more enemies to fight then when you sneak. Weapon Ammo is very low even on the lowest Loot difficulty, you probably gotta use multiple weapons in one encounter, but you can mostly refill after them According to your loot difficulty. Capacity Upgrades don't let you hold more Ammo, just more in one magazine.
    I love the Guitar Minigame where you can play 30 Accords and every string solo. It's beautiful.
    So Gameplay Wise 9.1/10.

    4th Story:
    It left me Numb Laying in my Bed for hours. I did not enjoy the Ending. I did not enjoy the Character switch at first but I got warm with it, The Story punches you in your gut multiple times out of nowhere and so hard you can't even react to it. It's all fine till the End, A new Group just for a broken Ellies Revenge Trip? A Broken and Hatred filled Tommy that flames Ellie? I say No No. All the friends you had Killed and only one is left for both Sides ok I can Dig that, loose everything, and give out mercy in the last Moment and go Love your Live in Peace.
    Let me Craft you a better Ending, Cut right before Tommy gets Revealed and let him Die, Cut to Abby and let them find the firefly's and let them drive off with the Boat, cut to Ellie going Upstairs to Play the Guitar and reveal that she forgave Joel and that he died in Peace with Ellie. Game Credits Role, end Screen you can see that the Boat from Abby landed in Catalina and you can know they made it. Everyone is Happy in the End, after all that loss and the final mercy you can Rest Now. That Would be a fantastic Ending, something with a Message, that you should forgive and show mercy. And not your beloved Main Character becomes the Villain gets left by everyone and then don't even gets Her full Revenge and is left alone.
    So I would give the Story with my Ending which just cuts the Broken Revenge trip and Tommy a Solid 9/10. With the Ending the Devs made, I can't I don't know with that Ending nothing matters that Happened it's 3/10 at best. You can't make her a villain and then **** out. Go Big or go Home.

    So with a 9.9/10, a 10/10, a 9.1/10 and an 3/10 that's 32/40 or 8/10. So it should be my Final Score.

    Would Recommend but don't Play the Ending or Close your Eyes and Ears when Tommy is there and Stop Playing after Abby finishes the Call with the firefly. Look up the Last scene with Joel and bam a very good Ending and Game.    … Expand

I also didn’t believe how bad the Story was based on the leaks and fan reactions. That is how much I loved TLOU. I gave every benefit of doubt to them believing that the master piece they made will continue I mean uncharted never disappointed me.

    But. First a little rant before the review.

    Joel dies in the first hour of the game. The man I waited to play as for this long was denied to me. The man we all fell in love with in TLOU. But His death serves nothing but a shallow plot line of revenge which could have been anyone else but Joel and it would still have worked. I mean just kill Dina she served no real story reason in the game. The story.

    The story was very shallow and full of plot holes. It’s about Ellie looking for revenge for Joel’s death. That’s it. And guess what, she does not take revenge for Joel’s death at the end by letting go of the person who killed Joel for no reason. Yes half way through the game you will change too play as the killer Abby for around 10 hours trying to show the bond with the group that “really hated” Joel which you won’t see in this story. You then go as Abby to do a side quest saving some children which again serves no actual meaning for the overall story as they become irrelevant the moment they were introduced. But when it changes back to Ellie, only the player experienced the 10hours of game and story with Abby, there should not have been a change of heart for Ellie to suddenly not take her revenge! She has nothing on Abby, she literally met her for 10 minutes and then decided killing her was not right. I would also like to point out that Joel’s death was very out of his character trusting some random stranger out in the woods which he made very clear he never did in the first game. I really hated the story, abhorred it. Two female leads with one that was forcibly shoved to our face even though we never asked for it. I could go on how bad the story is but there are reviews that go much more in-depth than me so I’ll leave it there.

    Gameplay.

    The gameplay feels exactly the same as the first game. Yes some upgrades are done to the gameplay. But, the overall experience is exactly the same. It is still very hard to aim properly with your gun, the hand to hand combat is still as shallow button mashing with occasional QTE prompt to dodge. They added a jump button which also serves no purpose as all the actual part that need navigating is still very automatic. You can’t grab higher ledges cos of you jump, you can’t jump over stuff because you can jump . I pretty much forgot about the jump button Zero minutes into the game and was surprised half way through the game when I accidentally pressed the wrong button and jumped whiling fighting a horde clickers. Oh yes. The enemies do not change much. I can’t remember exactly what 1 had but this game still has the same trope with some dogs and new silent enemies introduced. Doesn't change the 25 hour experience in much anyway.

    There is jarringly a lack of environmental puzzles also. So the game revolves around getting from A to B with not much in the middle. Some small areas are more opened up for you to explore but by the time your hoarding the Nth house, it also gets boring and you realize very fast that there is only so much there is in any building that’s not in the main road. A water bottle, tape, pills and the same thing again.

    I did get bored half way through the game and just wanted to rush to the end so I was finished with the game and this kind of experience is awful to have in a game.

    Graphics and sound.

    This is where it shines. The environment and sound is absolutely gorgeous nothing to say about this much. You will love it if it’s for the music or graphics. It is probably the best looking PS4 game to date. I’m surprised they could make everything so detailed.

    Conclusion.

    This game made the worst fears of fans into reality. They kill the main protagonist and shove some random person to force you to like with very little character development (forgot to mention the whole game goes through only 3 days ingame time). Your struggle is irrelevant through out the game as the ending denies all that you were playing for. If this is what SJW stands for in gaming I’m afraid for the future of gaming.     First hour starts off slow, and took a bit to really gain some momentum, but when it finally gets going...boy does it ever!! Great sequel, still one of the best games to experience ever.

    This game writing is as bad as the walking dead tv series. I see a lot of resemblance with the episodes of that show that made me so annoyed with nonsense that it made me stop watching it for good. They are trying to sell something that is not what the first game was. Also in part 2 often characters decisions makes no sense. The only reason behind it is to fit the bizarre narrative they are trying to push. My rating for this game is "i wish it never existed out of 10".… Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
