    An overall dissapointing and depressing experience
    If you enjoy yawning profusely and experiencing anxiety this is your game. If you appreciate thoughtful, exciting, story driven gameplay. Avoid this like the plague.
    Would not recommend. Good graphics.

    Espectacular es un juego para adultos y no para todos los gustos, hay que verlo desde una parte critica en que cuanto mas avanzas en el mundo post-apocaliptico desde el 1 con las decisiones que tomaron los protagonistas es normal encontrarse con todas las situaciones que ocurren en el 2, son duras

No, this game is bad because it is mercilessly grim, and full of cynical, performative gestures designed to ingratiate itself to the worst sort of toxic, internet SJW’s. It opportunistically works it’s way down a checklist of hot button issues, especially regarding representation, while exuding this snide, pretentious attitude about it the whole way through. It seems to be calling it’s own audience a bunch of chauvinist pigs for no discernible reason. “See?!” It says. “Women aren’t just objects for YOUR enjoyment!!” Yeah, okay, fine. Some girls are buff or whatever, I guess?     Es un excelente juego y usa adecuadamente la historia transcurrida en el primer juego dándole la complejidad necesaria para cada personaje y todas las características que anteriormente ya se le habían dado aunque la historia se estanca un poco no hay que desmeritarle las situaciones expuestas y problemáticas qué se generan para la protagonista por la cual se pueden comprender sus causas yEs un excelente juego y usa adecuadamente la historia transcurrida en el primer juego dándole la complejidad necesaria para cada personaje y todas las características que anteriormente ya se le habían dado aunque la historia se estanca un poco no hay que desmeritarle las situaciones expuestas y problemáticas qué se generan para la protagonista por la cual se pueden comprender sus causas y motivaciones para el desarrollo de toda esta historia… Expand

The gameplay is actually great and feels different yet the same as the first game. When playing this game, the moment you remember the any moments from the first one it feels like an essential part of the experience that is the last of us. While the playing as abby you dont miss ellie at all, but it's hard not to remember her brutal actions from the start of the game when she killed Joel… Expand

    Graphics is great but the story is horrible. Let's take it even if this was not a second part, and even if this was first time you play this game: the story is plain stupid. No wonder why 70% of Naughty Dog's team quit. I personally think this franchise is totally ruined.

However, the graphics are over shadowed by a completely incompetent story line, and boring gameplay. And I mean, VERY BORING. I would not recommend anyone to buy this game.     You will hate this game because of the plot long before any sjw content starts to annoy to you.

    Some ideas how to "improve" the plot. SPOILERS: Ellie sees how Joel dies and has a heart attack. Both of them are dead and you play the rest of the game for that femminator and her girlfriend.

    Like a lot of others have said. It breaks my heart to write this but it really was quite disappointing. Killing Joel off was 100% the right thing to do and I think most people will agree. But not 1 hour into the game, to then be forced to play the character that killed him. The gameplay and graphics were outstanding, but the story itself has let a lot of people down which is a real shameLike a lot of others have said.     the worst story ever told in a game if you can even call it a story from how bad it is, and one of the main characters (Joel) just gets killed of when the game have barely begun and in the lamest way too, don't buy this game, save your money for a title that's actually worth it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Wow, didn´t realize the hate out there - it made me sign up for metacritic to share my view - i´m german - so there will be some some language barriers, sorry for my english.

    First of all, I didn't read any reviews or watched any trailers, I wanted to experience the game "scar"-like - as a clean slate. I finished TLOU 1 a third time a week ago, to get into the feel for the new game. I played the game in hard, with scavenging on survivor - excellent choice!
    And I just think, this is the one of the best sequels of a game - and here is why:

    ND created a "realistic" world of what would happen, if such an infection were to havoc humanity. Society would collapse and many new forms of societal elements would arise - loners; military; cults; free societies; anarchists and so on. Humans aren't the apex predators anymore in this world - where the cordyceps are "united" in their mission, humanity is not (as nowadays)

    The core is a revenge story: Ellie wants to avenge the brutal murder of her love-hated father figure Joel. He is killed by a psychologically scarred women: Abby - whose father was killed by Joel in the first Part, as he rescues Ellie.

    The game will show you now both sides of the story and will force you to play them as well - two strong women on their personal revenge - and this is where the hate comes from, you as a player are FORCED to play both sides - and I loved it! In this fictitious and life threatening world, both women come to the same conclusion - life is not worth living if you can't forgive. Abby sees "the human" in the two Seraphites she has rescued - and Ellie sees it in Abby, as she finds her weakened, but still caring for her "Foster-Child" Lev. Ellie breaks the circle of unwanted and unconscious violence against each other and the mistakes they made (otherwise she would have scarred a new generation for revenge - Lev). Yes, you kill a lot of other human NPC´s and you don't care - because you don't know their story. This is the point the game is making - especially good in a real society where people are killed by other people flying drones with a joystick from home. The game is really violent - but such is life - normally we try to not look into it...

    But back to the game:

    - the mechanics are somewhat improved to the first one, mayor new feature is prone and you really need it on hard difficulty!!
    - The AI is top notch (it seems that on lower difficulties it isn't, because many people are complaining about it - play the TLOU 1 and check again)
    - Storytelling is great, you get immersed on a roller coaster ride of personal prejudices and you are forced to face them. "Everybody has it's reasons"
    - The graphics are incredible.
    - They should have offered "hard" (with scavenging on "survivor" - otherwise you will always have full resources for everything) as the lowest difficulty - that you as player feel this world - all others should have just watched a TV-Series - if you don't struggle in this game you can not get to the core of this fictitious world.    … Expand

    The biggest flaw of the this game definitely comes from the unconvincing storylines. NaughtyDog did a bad job piecing the new stories of WLF, Seraphites, and Rattlers together. It's hard to make players to feel any deep connection between these group, and It makes the whole stories lose its focus on the    Last of Us part II simply doesn't meet the high expectation from the general public.
    The biggest flaw of the this game definitely comes from the unconvincing storylines. NaughtyDog did a bad job piecing the new stories of WLF, Seraphites, and Rattlers together. It's hard to make players to feel any deep connection between these group, and It makes the whole stories lose its focus on the story of extended survival life for Elle and Joel. Abby is an interesting character brought into the game. Parts of her stories are realistic, but there are many parts that are totally poor designed and poorly shape the character. For example, Joel's dead comes too early in the game, and Abby's stories are not properly elaborated later. Consequently, it makes the entire game very unconvincing.
    The fact that the 7 years of development period does not bring too much of improvement on the game can be acceptable as long as the storylines are appealing and more realistic.
    Overall, there are still part of the game that are decently done, character's development, life conflicts, soundtracks. Still, NaughtyDog team did not put enough heart to carefully develop the game in a more realistic story. NaughtyDog underestimate game players' understanding of the real life situations. True, It's just an imaginary world still, but it can simply be done better.
    I am still looking forward for Last of Us Part 3 , hoping NaughtyDog do a better job on the next one.
    Don't make the game become a one-hit-wonder.

    Боёвка - Понравилось добавление лайк Солус механики в плане тайминга уворотов. Не понравилось вытекая из этого же, упрощение геймплея. Пропала хардкорность и страх перед мобами. Теперь умереть в основном можно только от большого кол-ва врагов или нелепости.     Визуал + звук: Уровень художников и проработка мелочей зашкаливает, особенно поразили тени и свет... на PS4 такое... Лицевые анимации лучшие в игровой индустрии. На PS4 slim фпс в некоторых местах проседает до 10-15, но в основном стабильные 30. Звук также потрясающий, стерео на максималках. Жалко что только гитару на 3-ей план разместили...

    Сюжет: Ощущение, что писали нейросети)) Как вызвать максимальную драму? Убить любимого персонажа. Как придать мотивацию ГГ убивать и двигаться вперёд? Заставить мстить. Какая модная повестка в геймдеве? Борьба за права меньшинств. В 1-ой части был мощный понятный всем твист, ради которого вся игра и строилась. В данной части твисты заключаются в понимании мотивации персонажей... думаю большинство их даже не заметят))) Вообщем сюжет не для всех, который скорее всего и был создан для разделения аудитории.
    6 из 10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last Of Us Part 2 was created to increase the deepness of this entire zombie world, adding some interesting points of view of what is like to become the villain of your own story.
    The gameplay doesn't take any risk on making anything new, but it has the same mechanics and functionality of its predecessor. The only flaw that I was able to find were some minor bugs, witch could be easily fixed.
    Something that separates this game from anyone of its genre, it's the way it shows dead on NPC's. It's suffering feels real and you won't be feeling comfortable killing others on this game.
    It's story, the main focus of this game is amazing. Naughty Dog took a risky path by choosing a story that would make angry to any fan, but further than staying on a classic heroe theme, it goes further and deeper. Joel's dead at the very beginning of the game states the tone of the rest of the gameplay, and gives Ellie a strong reason to seek revenge, but after some events on the main story Ellie finds out that love it's the most important thing, reflected on her finally forgiving Joel for not letting her die on the first game.
    Although most fans didn't like the game on a first place, I'm sure that time will do justice on what was achieved on this game, and most players will some time be deeply in love with Ellie's and Abby's story. A must play for anyone that owns a PS4.    … Expand

    I get it, violence is bad, that world is messed up, there is no hope...     Pretty looking but horrible story. Glad I played it on a friend's playstation.
    Unrecognizable characters disconnected from original. Dumb and unbelievable plot.
    Throw in the occasional finger wagging about whatever pet social issue/cause.
    Spoiled the experience for me but if you enjoy stuff like that you may like it.

    -Gameplay is exactly the same as the last game, pretty much nothing change and no, adding a "jump button" doesn't make your game any more enjoyable.
    -Old beloved characters get destoyed for the sake of introducing new ones but they're just impossible to sympathize with.

    Bland outdated gameplay, terrible writing, terrible characters. All in all, a big package of vomit this game turned out to be. Naughty Dog should be ashamed to release this "go woke go broke" garbage and Sony Interactive Entertainment is and horrible, anti-consumer platform for games. Avoid this title at all costs.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m going to address several aspects of the game to include story with spoilers.
    Gameplay is relatively unchanged; you can jump and dodge now. The weapons are mostly the same but have some differences. You still have that annoying weapon sway, as though you’ve been on a two day bender where drinks were free and your liver is on it’s last legs. Honestly, I get that Ellie isn’t a Black Ops warrior but I’m pretty sure she can hold a 9mm steady for 5 seconds and get a head shot in. FFS. You get several companions and they still get in your way on occasion, just like the first game. They stand in doorways, get in your cover when your trying to keep from being seen, even keep you from running away when you’re being chased.
    Bugs, honestly didn’t think this would happen. I fell through the world. Twice. Lots of light coming through cracks in walls, floors, everywhere. Constantly had to press Triangle to interact with objects to loot or open doors, drawers, etc.. Graphics glitch had a waterfall looking like a great big golden lego at one point until I got closer to it when it finally resolved. I play on PS4 Pro BTW with 1080p TV, TYVM.
    You play as Ellie and a new character Abby, the daughter of the Doctor we killed in the first game.
    His death is at the heart of this whole mess, so let’s stop for a moment. Apparently, we learn that he was the only surgeon/scientist left that could have developed a cure. Where was he going to do his research? With what equipment or technology? The year is 2033 and the world has gone to **** there’s no electricity, buildings are falling down, equipment is broken or inaccessible. The people and facilities to create a vaccine for a complicated disease on any scale are just not there anymore, so why are the Fireflies so quick to end this girl’s life? When life is so precious, when people are gunned down in the street for their shoes, why wouldn’t they even tell her before the surgery? They didn’t give her choice, and they didn’t give the player a choice. We’re just told the Fireflies can and will create a vaccine. They didn’t ask the important questions, like hey what are the alternatives? Can we wait to kill this little girl? Should we kill the ONLY immune person on the planet? What if we can’t produce a cure after we kill her? There are some serious questions with some serious repercussions. I think Naughty Dog was a naughty dog when it came to this plot point.
    OK, so I played on easy because I came for the story. Abby recruited her friends and traveled from Seattle to Colorado to torture and execute Joel for the murder of her father, in the middle of winter. No trial, no justice, no debate. Ellie, finds them in the middle of this act (beating Joel’s head in with a golf club) and is left unconscious along with Tommy, Joel’s brother. Tommy goes after them, Ellie goes after Tommy with a couple of friends in tow. You also play as Abby for at least half of the Game and you are shown flashbacks of both girls as they interact with their fathers, (Joel is Ellie’s dad for all intents and purposes) and friends. You’re expected to see the parallels and I assume find some sympathy as you humanize Abby and understand her perspective. Unfortunately for me the relationships felt forced and contrived in order to pander to certain audiences. I liked Owen and Manny, I felt sorry when they died. But really, the best parts were the Ellie and Joel moments and even then, nothing compared to the first game.
    I disliked Abby and I hated playing her. I spent every encounter trying hurry my through, thinking that it would get back to playing Ellie that much quicker. Abby was brooding and overall, just unlikeable. She talks about the death of Danny, a fellow WLF, and how she was glad he was dead and just wishes she had killed him. Even her weapons make it difficult to want to play her.
    The infected have added new types to their ranks and it’s not really fun anymore. Stalkers can’t be “seen” with your x-ray vision and they hide, like you do. There’s a new version of bloater that explodes with acidic gas and can chase you. Some areas are so full of enemy soldiers there seems like no end to them and no possible way to sneak past them or even get to the next area without killing them all. The only redeeming feature, on easy, is that the AI is dumb and can’t see you very easily.
    The game drags on after a while and while playing Abby, I just wanted to end it. I had watched Joel die. I was waiting for the confrontation between Ellie and Abby, but it just seemed never-ending. The whole thing just makes me sad, in so many ways. Change is difficult to accept and I have to wonder how people will take the death of someone they came to not only care for, but the injustice of his death. How will they accept being forced to play as the bringer of that death and injustice?    … Expand

    Incredible story, it’s very different than the first but it holds up and is just as amazing. It’s all unfortunate people are review bombing this game and haven’t played it or haven’t played it in full.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i remember playing the first part of the last of us on the original ps3 on 2012 , i really like the story and world and the gameplay , it was a nice game and when i heard that the last of us got a part 2 i was really hyped to see what they could do with the story and how they could improve in this really great game but i only got myself disappointed with this game , everything that i liked about the first part is now gone with the second part thanks to neil druckmann awful writing that have destroyed the story completing killing all of my favorite charterers and making it into some cringe fan-faction story about revenge that why i will give the last of part 2 a soccer of 0/10 thanks for reading the review go and check out my youtube channel unik90 for more content… Expand

After seeing the initial leaks I was disappointed too, but upon finishing the game for myself I can safely say that Naughty Dog made nothing short of a masterpiece. So much so I felt I had to try and help the user score by creating this account.     It's one of the most inclusive and accessible games and the world needs more games like this one. It has over 60 accessibility settings! All game devs should learn from Naughty Dog and wear the inclusion pants without fear. You will enjoy the game in every way (unless you're a homophobic prick who rates the game without even playing it for at least 5 minutes).

    This game is exactly done the way the first one. This is why it deserves 10/10. All the crying I'm seeing is bs. Some people just want to see **** burn. Graphics top notch, story an emotional ride, yea the controls are a tad clunky but nothing you wouldn't notice. Everyone who posted auto zeros within the first hour of release are trolls

    Drakman wanted to push his agenda into the game, well, he did it.
    i just simply don't like and dont buy such content and that's what happened.

A nivel narrativo no llega a ser tan redondo como la primera entrega, la típica historia de venganza en el mundo de The Last Of Us, sin embargo creo que saben conducir la historia perfectamente y generar los momentos de tensión en todo momento. Creo que ha faltado un poco el efecto sorpresa, sin embargo eso no influye negativamente. A nivel jugable es una maravilla, parte de la base del primer juego y retoca y perfecciona el control de los personajes sin perder la esencia anterior. Las expresiones faciales y lo humanos que se sienten todos (enemigos incluidos) le da un realismo casi nunca visto dentro de la industria. Naughty Dog ha conseguido que algo tan típico dentro de un videojuego como es matar, se convierta en algo completamente desagradable y difícil de hacer. Es cierto que el juego es inclusivo, y sinceramente no me ha acabado de cuajar lo de Lev, pero en general es un juego excelente, y no merece críticas negativas por la politizacion. Sabe transmitir el mensaje sin importar los ideales.… Expand

Como se les ocurrió desechar a uno de los personajes mas queridos en los juegos de esa forma por un mal personaje y peor que después tienes que jugar con ese personaje haciendo cortar la inmersión con Ellie y tomando decisiones absurdas, el mensaje de este juego podría ser transferido perfectamente a nosotros con otros personajes, pero es un mensaje sin objetivo, ya que la forma en que cierra la historia es absurda mente insatisfactorio, la jugabilidad es buena pero realmente te puede poner en duda si seguir jugando o no debido a la mal estructurada historia.… Expand

Pienso que es muy bueno opinar y entender que este juegazo tiene mucho argumento para continuar en una saga larguisima, los graficos estan muy geniales, la tematica extraordinaria y bien la historia es cada vez mas interesante, no tengo problemas con que joe halla muerto pero me dolio muchisimo, espero este juego llegue a tener una buena metacritic por parte de quienes lo juegan o lo hallan experimentado aun que sea 1 hora… Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
