    Excellent graphics. Better gameplay than in TLoU part I. And i liked stealth this time.
    Some mess with the story, but it was a journey about coming from anger to forgiveness. About loosing all to find inner calm.

Ao menos deveria ter nos dado mais tempo com ele, dado outras motivações à Ellie. Foi um desrespeito com os fãs do personagem e personagem nenhum preencheu o vazio deixado por ele.

I'm literally only going on because I just want to see Ellie beat the antagonist to death... I did not read any of the spoilers going into it, I didn't even know it was being review bombed until I pulled up metacritic to leave a review... The dialogue is trash, the plot and decision making is trash. As a result I just can't believe any of these characters actions, was this even written by the same people? How did we go from some of the most believable characters EVER written in TLOU1 to this?! While I'm sure there are some homophobic pieces of trash that hate this game because of lesbians, for me you could replace Dina with a guy and the dialogue would still make me cringe and want to turn the console off. My day has been ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable at the waste of potential. Maybe this is my fault for hyping myself up and playing TLOU1 the other day to get amped up for TLOU2 and my expectations were set so very high, however the difference in writing quality is startling. Basically the only thing this game has going for it is pretty scenery and a good soundtrack which is why I give it a 2 out of 10.… Expand

There's a difference between art and propaganda, if I can gauge the entirety of the author's worldview by their work it is not a well developed piece, especially if the narrative falls within the archetypal sensibilities of an ideologue. I've gained nothing from this story, I could go to tumblr and read better fan fictions. It's just iconoclasm of the most vengeful sort, to kill a beloved character with indignity and no resolution to that, while having the villain escape scot free due to characteristics considered protected by the author. People need to understand that Joel oiled a lot of people and what he did was wrong. Everyone knew that! Actions have repercussions. I love Joel so much but that’s what happens. But overall the storyline is amazing!!! Hopefully there’s gonna he a second one!… Expand

I'm here to say I've enjoyed the gameplay and some moment's as the story progressed. Many people and at some point including me we never thought this ending was coming but that's the beauty of creating your own piece of art. This is not only about game developing.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I did not expect that Naughty dog would actually go there. I loved the atmosphere as always. The rainy, grungy feeling that Seattle has, together with Pearl Jam and Mark Lanegan songs, really did set the tone for me. I really liked the first half of the game. The second half of the game was the part that I liked the least since I really dislike Abby as a character. I never really cared about her past or motives. The fact that she did what she did to Joel made her automatically an enemy to my eyes. I really like how she suffered up to the very last minute. Also some deaths are extremely satisfying in chapter 3 and 4. Everyone that hasn't played it should definitely do so. Especially if you have played the first one. Do not pay attention to the noise. Naughty dog handled some issues very nicely and with respect. I disliked the fact that we play as Abby for quite a big part of the game, but I understand what the writers tried to do and I don't hate it.… Expand

    Yes graphics and visualizes are amazing. But that alone isn't enough to make this sequel anywhere close to the first game. The story is every thing for me ans sadly, this story sucked. This game wasn't fun. I had high expectations......that's on me. There is talk about the last of us series, i hope the writers don't add this game into part of the series.

    A mi dentro de todo me gusto el juego, pero al ser la historia bastante mierda, aparte de que se podia arreglar le pongo un 6. El juego si fuera por todo lo nuevo que trajo le pondria un 10, pero como la historia es una mierda se lleva un 6, y hasta deberia ser menos.

    They take this to an extremely stupid place, with Joel dying and Ellie murdering all of Abby's(child of an NPC in first game that golf clubs Joel) crew, only to suddenly realized revenge isnt worth it after Tommy is shot, she loses everything to include 2 fingers and already killed people far more innocent then Abby to just let her live. It then ends on a weird note that Joel is evil and it's better to let someone who murdered essentially you father live because revenge is bad even though you already killed like a 100 people for that revenge.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The graphics were amazing; on point, as a game in 2020 should have. The development of Ellie was something to behold, too. Her growth skills-wise (swimming, playing the guitar) sets an admirable waypoint to the age between part 1 and 2. The gameplay is roughly the same, but I have no problem with what isn't broken.

    I wanted to love this game. I do. I wanted it all to make sense, but it doesn't. It preaches that "one must end the cycle of violence", that somehow it makes sense that the ending would be the way it was, but let's face it: Protag#2 didn't deserve her fate. You can't give respite to the person who started Ellie's journey while letting Ellie sit on her ashes. At the end of it all, Ellie did what she had to do, and just as the story ought to conclude, just as she would have given honor to how Joel was lambasted by the characters, the plot (and by extension, the producers/ story planners), Ellie pulls the punch. Unsatisfying. Disappointing, and horrendous.

    I'm not sure to whom this story was meant to cater to. Everyone is just miserable at the end, except for Protag#2 who casually sails away with her adoptive friend/ child-- the person who doesn't deserve it the most.

    Even the accolades of gameplay and graphics doesn't dazzle me. Why play this game?    … Expand

Why would you choose a pacifists lifestyle at the END after everything she did. I was in actual tears. They should've given you an option to allow her to live or kill her. This is just BS I've waited 7 years, I talk about how much I love the last of us. It will forever be my favorite game but this didn't do it justice whatsoever, it was tedious and made no sense its just like you started killing just to kill there was no real story line. The pacing and the ending, not my favourite as they could of let you choose who to play as in the final battle, and then if you want to spare them or not similarly to Detroit become human. Combat only requires spamming square near an enemy with no tactics in play. Ai have nice animations but are still dumb as ever. Staying at areas i've long since vacated. The story is full of plot holes with little to no character development and a horribleThis game ruined The Last Of Us for me. There is a brutal death in the game not used to add any sadness to the narrative but purely to just shock the player. This game is full of discrepancies and while there is ambition here.     Where to start? Don't believe all the hype behind this game and fake reviews by gaming journalists our there. The entire story is forced upon us. For what? To fit the political agenda. It's a shame, first game is the greatest game of all time in my opinion. I'll just pretend there was never a part 2 to begin with.

Ridiculous plot, the whole theme of the story seems like something an 8 year old would find deep. Character's decisions make absolutely zero goddamn sense. Beloved characters get treated like crap. The game's trailer is an absolute disgrace, misleading is anAbysmal storytelling... why does this game exists? We fans waited 7 years for this crap, and they chose to spit on our faces. Ridiculous plot, the whole theme of the story seems like something an 8 year old would find deep. Character's decisions make absolutely zero goddamn sense. Beloved characters get treated like crap. The game's trailer is an absolute disgrace, misleading is an understatement, is false advertising, google the differences. Half of the game is just time-killer, no plot progression, no character-development.

    The best part of the game, by far, is the flashback sequences (and maybe the guitar playing, that was pretty cool as well.). And when the best part of your game is the flashbacks you know you messed up somewhere.

    The game gets a 1/10, the reason it didn't get 0 is the visuals, nothing to complain about there. Gameplay is almost exactly the same as the one 7 years ago, nothing changed. Glitches are everywhere, I lost count how many times my character was climbing an invisible ladder, and the death screen stuck on the screen after I respawn. Laughable.

    What an absolute trainwreck, Naughty Dog you get what you deserve after censoring and copyrighting people for their opinions. Neil Druckmann you deserve the hate you are getting now.    … Expand

Puedo entender la razón de porque a mucha gente no le gusto The Last of Us Parte II, ya que esta basado en un mundo crudo y realista, en donde tu personaje favorito puede cometer un pequeño error que le cueste la vida, pero tambien donde la muerte de cada personaje puede ser muy rapida, igual que en la vida real. Además del increible gameplay y graficos, este juego contiene, en mi opinion, una maravillosa historia en donde te muestran como Ellie llega a un punto donde tanto esfuerzo por cobrar venganza la agota y se ha dado cuenta que lo ha perdido todo. Un final mas acercado a la realidad dentro de un juego que sale de la historia tipica del heroe que logra ganarle a todo mal. Deja de lado todas las ideas que te hallan hecho de este juego y animate a probar una obra maestra más de Naughty Dog.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's heartbreaking to give this game such a low score considering how much I adored the first one however it's unfortunately what it deserves. The graphics are stunning as expected for a 2020 game, I found myself in awe walking around the different sets, the acting for the most part is phenomenal, the gameplay is great (most of it was recycled from the original game so really nothing new other than the fact that Ellie is faster and less bulky than Joel was making room for some interesting mechanics), the music was breathtaking, the story and character writing however was not. Naughty Dog completely ruined this games potential when they wrote such unlikable characters, I found myself being bored during most dialogue and just switched off to admire the graphics. To give such a beloved character an awful excuse of a 'send off' for no reason other than to fuel a revenge story is insulting to fans of the original game and by the 6th hour into the game it doesn't even feel like you're out for revenge it just feels like Ellie's on a rampage and Joel's death is just the best excuse they could come up with and to then be forced into playing as the character that killed him & expecting us to care for her is just rubbing salt on the wound. ND's handling of trailers was absolutely disgusting I avoided spoilers like my life depended on it and bought the game thinking I was going to get an Ellie focused story (a character who I loved) to build upon her character with Joel as one of the possible side characters (I wouldn't have even been mad if they killed him off at some point respectfully), instead she's been written as an uncharismatic teenager that nobody likes, her personality has completely changed and I guess you could read into it and say it's just a part of growing up in an apocalyptic universe however this is never explained. Joel goes from a careful, smart survivor to someone who willingly tells a group of armed strangers his name regardless of the reputation he built in the events of the first game. Scenes are ridiculously violent for the sake of being violent to a point where I personally had so much anxiety I had to stop playing for a while. If there's one good thing about the story & characters I suppose you could stretch and say it's ok at diversity, there's a handful of lgbtq+ characters & different ethnicities however it's not GREAT representation, scenes feel forced and one of the characters even plays into a harmful stereotype for bi people so take it or leave it. Overall The Last of Us 2 just feels like Naughty Dog ruined a perfect story with incredibly enjoyable characters just for the sake of making a sequel and getting more money, as a long time fan I will definitely not be buying anymore products from them. The score of 4 is based purely on graphics and gameplay but it's definitely not worth your money.
    It's upsetting to see reviewers blindly hating this game JUST because it features lgbt people at the center of it.     This game is pure garbage. The story is pointless, generic script and does not add anything. I will never again pre-order a naughty dog game, disappointing. Now I want my money back. It's better to spend your money on something useful like buying food for the homeless.

    Just wow, such a complete opposite if the 1st game, so **** They ruined so many parts of things it’s not funny! Only got through a quarter of the game, it’s so bad. The SJW’s really got their teeth into Naughty Dog. Way too much identity politics in this game. This franchise is ruined for me now. Returning the game.

    The more I played the more I realised that every single surviving character in this game is unlikable. They bounce between smug, unreasonable and preachy and at the four hour mark I put the game down and won't be coming back to it.
    I don't know if they changed which team handles the game or changed lead writer but it feels like everyone who wrote this is clinically depressed. The alternative is that they wrote this to be as horribly depressing as possible with no hope spots to speak of.    … Expand

Ellie lost her girl, her father figure, her friends, her two fingers, and apparently her sense of self because she decided the cycle of violence had to end with Abby. Even Abby basically lost everything all because of her own revenge tirade. The out of the box thinking of the plot and sad moments in the game are the cement and foundation for the next story in the franchise if ever made and help build the characters to who they are, (some people aren't happy with something that happens early on in the game which I wont spoil), but let's be honest, what would the game be if it had not been what it was, more so upset that the incident happens and that you cant play as that character, it's a video game move on, life happens, would you want to play this game back in 2002 with the graphics back then? Probably not. Due to the storyline you feel emotionally invested in the character(s) and their struggle but the ability to have you see things from other perspectives opens your eyes to new ways of thinking and possibly changing your opinion on why something happens, the games themes of, vengeance blinding reason, karma will get you, acceptance and forgiveness are all clearly shown only if you analyze every emotion, every movement to determine why something is happening. This game is a great game and many are upset for the storyline, but that is one out of hundreds of categories you can rate it for, to me personally, I love this game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am not usually one to write reviews of any sorts, but the bombing of bad reviews for this game that are straight up bad just had me feeling like putting in some positivity.

    Some points in here I can absolutely understand. While the sotry isn't bad, I do definitely feel like it has less of an impact on me than the story of the first game did. The previous one was a beautiful journey with two central characters getting to know each other through this journey and bonding, ultimately turning into their own little family.
    You won't get this with this game.
    The second part goes into a lot darker theritories and is less about telling telling a story about a journey. Nevetheless, I did like the story. Not everybody might agree with it, but in the end of the day things like these are subjective to everyone.

    Talking about gameplay, there was mainly one thing I did not like: Playing Abby.
    While I do understand what ND tried to do here (telling us her side of the story), the actual impact it had was very marginal. The entire section where we, the players, play as Abby feels empty and somehwat pointless. I would not have needed 8h+ of playing her to understand what she went through and that the things Ellie did have consequences. This could have been done in a 2-3h of gameplay and really did not need an interruption of over 8h of playing the actual main character, Ellie.

    Anyhow... For me, this game deserves a good 8/10 since everything else it has to offer is on the highest level you can wish for in any game. The story does have some rough edges, but is generally good. I would recommend everyone to, whilest not a master piece like the first one, play this game.

I though, eh whatever, its just for this bit (boy was I wrong). I enjoyed the stoyy, the revenge that Ellie seeked for Joels brutal murder, yes i was sad and angry Joel was dead, but it's a dark world, he doesnt have plot armor. I loved every second playing as Ellie hunting down the group that was involved. However, forcing me to play as Abby was just a stupid decision. I dont care what agenda you have to show me Abbys side of the story, I played a 14 hour game as Joel, no matter what I see isn't going to make me sympathetic to his killer. Its a stupid and ridiculous choice to do this. It made me want to stop playing the game completely. Honestly, if you're a massive fan of the last of us, dont play this game.… Expand

    Debo de mencionar que me siento complacido con la mayoría de deciciones tomadas salvo una problemática que siento ,es demaciado drama ,una cosa mala tras la otra le succeden a ellie y abby ,entiendo que sea el ciclo de odio pero llega un punto en el cual es casi desgastante sentir tantas emociones negativas .Menciono si acides por quedó si no tienes un buen día o una semana buena ,dios está nuevo te destroza emocionalmente .
    La segunda cuestión mala que siento es que abby tiene para un juego propio y siento que si historia salvo el principio como el final pero durante 4 o 6 horas la historia vuelca más al contexto de Seattle que ala situación de abby como ellie ,está bien ! Pero siento que es para un DLC y no historia principal .
    Si no fuera esté una parte 2 tal vez lo admitiría pero es una parte dos según el título .
    La tercera y última es que los grandes cambios se dan en las primeras 6 horas,para despues sentir que incluso ellie quiere parar ,cosa que se confirma con el final ,donde ella siempre quiso parar y siento como si la historia la obligará a ser así .
    La última cosa que si bien no es malo es que los diseños finales de Ellie,Tommy ,Dina,Abby Son sumamente más llamativos que los que se nos presenta en la mayoría de la campaña .
    En especial Ellie que se nota más madura y seguramente ya en el final cuando vuelve a su hogar abandonado por Dina está debe de estár rondando 21 o 22 años .
    GAMEPLAY
    En este apartado an mejorado muchísimo ,noto como se pulió bastante este juego hasta su último punto ,considero que puede tener una jugabilidad que rivalizar con dishonored 1 y eso es un gran avance .
    Cinemáticas ,sonido ,musica ,ambientación ,gráficos como siempre insuperables .
    Si diera una descripción final diría .
    Se acuerdan cuando el profesor nos pedía 3 hojas de tarea y el matado del salón traía 10 ,pues este es el caso ,El juego tiene lo que pedimos en esas 3 hojas (los flashback y campaña principal de ellie y abby en su final )pero el resto de 6 hojas no están mal pero podrían haber estado mejor para otro trabajo (un DLC )o para otra temática aparte (spin off)

    Sin más que decir espero que la parte 3 si es igual de larga ,sepa hacerlo de lo que se pide en una parte 3 y de ser así que la historia sea igual de emotiva pero porfavor ,un poco menos ácida .
    Un juego que debes de jugar si quieres presenciar los gráficos futuros así como una narrativa buena pero e de advertir que bastante pesada .
    Si eres fan del primero y de verdad lo compre diste ,es un 10 pero acabarás enojado con ellie .
    Si eres casual probablemente te saque de onda hará un 7
    A si que considero que está vez lo mejor es la mitad .
    Será de mis juegos favoritos por acontecimientos personales que los relaciono con la vida jodida de Ellie ,pero que sea uno de mis favoritos no tiene que quitar mi objetividad ,el juego es un 8 de referencia y cada quien sabe si lo baja a 7 o lo sube a 10.

Ideally both. But if your    Gameplay has nothing strictly speaking wrong with it, except TLoU1 already did all of it and with better context and story. Graphics are inconsequential.

    A good video game either needs truly superlative gameplay to make you want to go through for the challenge's sake, or a great story to make you want trudge through it even if the gameplay isn't that great. Ideally both. But if your gameplay's the usual action-adventure cookie-cutter stuff, and the story absolutely atrocious, the end result isn't going to be any good.

    This could be the greatest game ever made, and I'd still despise it because of the crunch development. That's what's p***ing me off the most about this game, the fact that a horrible, abusive practice went into making it and game journos are letting the man responsible get away with it with no consequences because he's hiding behind progressivism and using it as a defense for his actions.
