    I expected the same strong story as in the first part. Unfortunately, I have not received this. The rest for me in this game is not important, although the graphics and atmosphere are 10/10. But the overall rating is low due to history.

    I did not liked direction that story took in Part 2. Frankly speaking, i hated every minute of Abby drama until the end.
    Whoever was involved in decision of making this stupid character PLAYABLE (for half of the game length) should just quit Naughty Dog altogether.

    Otherwise, the gameplay and world, graphics are amazing.

    I play TLOU for the Story.
    I understand the point of the story but it is so poorly done it's painful!
    It's a very beautiful game that plays well but that doesn't really matter cus of the story. You could have made this story to a ok one by reversing the order of some parts but it still is just an ok story at that point. Having the story play out like it did then have that 'noclusion'    I play TLOU for the Story.

    The mixed in politics doesn't help either... I would have liked to see the game 100% detached from real life at this point...

I am only giving 2 stars for the technical aspects of the game but since this is a heavily story-driven game and also a continuation of a wonderful game the story becomes the biggest factor to consider and since it is worse than trash perhaps my score should be even lower. But the fake advertisements of the game has to take the crown! No, you won't play with nor as Joel at any present time of the game, and you will have to play with joe's horrible killer (Abby) for HOURS upon hours (almost like HALF the game) and then fight Ellie as her!!… Expand

Were we all just waiting for some appealing graphics? For 7 years Naughty Dog couldn't think of anything else than revenge plot. HOW? WHY? This is soo stupid. They couldn't even finish the story properly where Ellie gets her redemption. Ellie just kills 1000s of people just to forgive the one who killed Joel who was like Father to Ellie.How ****ing stupid this is. Devs, what were you thinking? Were you thinking that this game and this story will teach me to forgive or what ? Killing tons of enemies, whole game is based on violence violence, no elements of survival at all and in the end its just forgiveness. Stop this political propaganda, SJW all of this is irrelevant in this game. Killing a lead male character just to promote your Feminism in the game. I dont mind Ellie being a lesbian and I dont mind playing as Ellie or other Female characters at all! But this story is Bull****.     Beautiful game. Story is great, CG is breathtaking and Ellie is a total bada$$. I have zero complaints about this game. 10/10

    It's very good. Graphics and animations are amazing. I had no problem with the story, most people rating this game 0 have not actually played or owned. the game. If you liked the 1st one, you'll love playing this too.

Gameplay jest identyczny jak w pierwszej części, żadnych nowości tylko idź, strzelaj, zbieraj i zabijaj. Grając cały czas myślałem, że to TLOU 1 z lepszą grafiką.     -One of the most amazing graphics in game I've ever seen. You can see where 100 mil went
    -Gameplay is decent
    -You can turn on slowmo. Kills look very good that way
    What's bad:
    Oh boy, there's a lot. Visual flows:
    -Faces during gameplay. They are scary. It's like those videos where characters are with maximum expression: their eyes are popping out, they are really sad or really angry. Very strange.
    -Invisible walls in the places where they shouldn't be. I can understand invisible walls in forests but not on top of a crane (You can jump of it but if you try to throw a bottle to the left or right it'll break and not fall).
    Gameplay:
    -Jump button is mostly useless. It's not that frequently used and jump animation is wonky.
    -You get stunned if you get shot. Maybe there is more challenge because of it but for me it's mostly annoying. The game forces you to play more careful, you can't really run straight into the enemy anymore, just hide and wait. At least you can run away from them.
    -It's incredibly boring. If you played first bioshock, it's kind of the same experience. You go from one location to another killing similar enemies, looting them and killing them again. There are some interesting upgrades, but not a lot. As you progress you find different types of guns same as in bioshock were potions. But all of that is not enough to make killing similar enemies over and over again any entertaining.
    -Stupid AI. You can enter journalist mode by just laying down. Human npc won't be able to see you at all. They can even walk on you. F U N
    -Notes. Maybe it's just me but making any sort of exposition by placing notes that couldn't have been written in the kind of circumstances they were written is lazy. They're not even that interesting, exposition could've been done without them.
    -Without arrows it's difficult to navigate.
    Story (Spoilers up ahead):
    Jesus Christ it's atrocious. This game feels as a work of someone who surrounded themselves in a bubble of people who have the same "mindset" and no one was dare to argue with them.
    First 3 hours of exposition are already boring but they are probably necessary. Well anyhow, there is Abby who wants to kill Joel because he killed her father, when trying to escape with Ellie from the hospital. It's unfortunately almost all the character of Abby. Oh, and she is also very strong. She kills Joel in the first couple of hours and Ellie than tries to get revenge on her. Before killing Joel, she gets in trouble with zombies but Joel saves her (And immediately says who he is to her even though Joel said himself that the only one you can trust is yourself. Maybe its the old age?) After that Abby kills Joel in front of Ellie and Neil Druckmann selfinsert spits on the corpse of Joel. That small detail is actually how gamers and maybe developers feel about the characters. They are irrelevant. Well anyhow, for some reason, developers decided that it'll be a good idea to play an empty villain character for a half of the game. Every ending where Abby dies automatically becomes a good one, because you don't care about her one bit. She is strong. She is powerful. She got her revenge. That's it. All the side characters are even more underdeveloped or extremely unlikeable. Abby has a boyfriend who cheats on his own pregnant wife with her. Pregnant wife is barely a character. Selfinsert Druckmann is Spanish (it's all the character development). Abby along the way meets little trans boy Lev (trans and lgbt characters are thrown in there just for a tick) and his sister who quitted the Scars - a cultist group which everyone considers an enemy. She for some reason decides to help them, because they saved her life, even though Joel did the same. (Of course, Joel killed her father, but these people are almost random and can potentially be a threat. It's all just to make Abby a little more likable). Abby and Lev lose a lot of friends along the way. But not only they are forgettable to the audience, they are forgettable to characters themselves. Lev loses his mom and sister but as soon as they are out of sight he immediately forgets about them. Not a single word is heard from him. Same thing with Abby's and Ellie's friends. And when Abby gets her very slight character development Ellie doesn't. All she thinks about is revenge. So its even disturbing to see her in the end sparing life of Abby. She killed your father and friends, even bit of your fingers and you won't do anything about it? You killed all those people along the way just to not do anything? Like one youtube comment said:" It's like if John Wick killed all the bad guys for his dog and then decided to adopt a cat".
    Thank you Druckmann, I understand now. Violence is bad. What a valuable lesson. Actually, even when npcs die others scream the names of those npcs you just killed. Well, I guess I feel sorry now.
    Overall there are no interesting characters and you dont sympathise with anyone.    … Expand

Some are frustrating and some are so amazing you’ll be gasping for air. The gameplay is so smooth and the fight scenes are so real you feel like you can see every little movement with such detail. The story tugs on your emotions so much. I had some points I was jumping out of my seat and others I was grabbing the tissues. It is utterly beautiful and everything ND promises it would be. But you cant let the ultimate message go right past you. It is very thought provoking and really the ending is up to interpretation enjoy the game while you can still play it for a first time it’s worth it and you will never forget it if you don’t let one or two things prevent you from enjoying all of it. When I first started part two I knew I was in for one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride, given the first one made me feel so much for the characters we grew to love. But I also went in with an open mind because we were playing from another protagonist's perspective, meaning we had to experience new hardships and thoughts. And I believe that naughty dog has done a very good job with this game, giving us the chance not only to look at the series of events from Ellie's point of view but as well as our antagonist Abby as well. The combat is very smooth in this game, every zombie attack feels real, every gunfight makes you nervous. The graphics were out of this world from the blood, sweat, and tears. To the environment, we encountered throughout the game. The small things in this game such as playing guitar or experiencing a flashback make you sympathize with the characters and long for simpler times. I'd rate this game a 9.5/10… Expand

    This is a stupid game, adding lbgt things that had no purpose in the game, only to draw attention. Storyline was awful, and gameplay was just plain and repetitive. Only good thing about this one is the graphics, but you had to kill it with the cons.

What made the first game good got taken away in the first two hours and then the game forces you to play as the character that kills Joel. If that doesn’t make you have no motivation to continue the game, than the whole purpose of the game, revenge, doesn’t even happen. Ellie let’s the person who killed her father figure live. The story telling is beyond terrible and the game should not be played by anyone who enjoyed the first game.… Expand

I played the first game 24 hours before the second and I gotta say, this is dog **** writing. None of the new characters have any depth and we have no reason to care about them. It’s only after once they die that we get flash backs for them but since they died a couple of hours ago it means nothing at all. Although Lev and his sister were likable characters in this game and I would’ve loved more from them but I cannot say the same for all of the rest of the characters in the game that were introduced. I have absolutely no problem with the trans characters, lesbian characters or even Joel’s death.. But I have to say they’re all so poorly written that I cannot take this game seriously. It’s a joke compared to the first game, all of the mechanics are the same from the first. I fell asleep three time’s playing this because I got so bored playing it. However some positive things about the game include the graphics, music and atmosphere. These things were all done correctly in the game and I had only wished they had wrote everything better and not so lazily.. Abby and Lev's partnership is a direct rip off, of Joel and Ellie but for some reason they made it politically correct? - Again i don't care about the diversity in the game its cool having this implemented into a post apocalyptic game. The narrative to the story is that revenge is bad and so is killing and its forced down your throat throughout the whole play through. If i had to give this game a rating I'd give it a stinky 3/10 while its apart of the TLOU title. If this was a independent game then i'd give it a 5/10.. those are my final thoughts.… Expand

    1: graphics
    2: More dynamic ways to progress through the levels

    But beyond this this ,
    it is possibly one of the worst sequels to a great game due to various reasons:
    1:The Last of us was a game that received universal acclaim due to it's great storytelling , which this game completely abandons , there is no character development, joel's death is executed so poorly , it seems that the writers just forgot who he was in the first game.

    2: Joel's killer abby is simply a forced insertion of a character that serves as a hook for the rest of the game's theme (revenge).We are then forced to play as her and her backstory in order to sympathize with her, which is just lazy writing because this formula can be applied to any character that joel had something to do with in the game.

    3:Finally after the gruesome killing spree that ellie goes on in order to avenge joel;s death , in the end she forgives abby , which just leaves the players with no sense of accomplishment .

    This game is just an excuse for a political message that neil druckmann had been wanting to give for a very long time. It clearly shows :
    1: Neil druckmann being inspired by anita sarkeesian(a toxic feminist)

    2: His views on female characters in video games being sexualized (which is actually how women look like imo rather than a male bodybuiler lookalike abby).

    3:Forced sex scene of abby and owen (which is neil druckmann's self insert) and looks more like two guys pegging each other .

    4:This double standard that natural women with curvy bodies are bad but gay/lesbian/trans porn is good.ex: Sony censoring many anime games from japan but allowing abby and owen's sex scene

    Overall this game is a reminder that toxic feminism , sjw politics and woke agenda are bad for any entertainment product (which seems to be the case in western media nowadays )ex: Star Wars the last jedi , doctor who , this game etc . Games and movies should be a medium of spreading love, hope for all groups (including STRAIGHT Men and Women) rather than hate , divisiveness which unfortunately THE LAST OF US 2 is a product of.....    … Expand

    A few hours in and so far it's easily one of the best games out this year. Not sure why all the criticism but really liking the game and so far it's kind of following on perfectly from the 1st game. I can see how the story is leading and I'm happy with it.

    Great game. Just finished. Seems to be a campaign of NPCs to lower the score here. There's some LGBT moments in the game that make up 1/1000th of the game. And the main characters are independent and don't worship a single guy. All that to say, there's several boys and men upset that gays exist and that girls might think for themselves sometimes.     I love 1st game , but this one is simply disgusting :/. Story all over the place, characters are not acting like in previous game ( dont recognize them). Visuals and music are great - thats only reason why i scored 3 ( otherwise 1 )

    This game got review bombed at launch. There's no way that thousands of people beat the game under an hour after it came out.

    First of all, the combat is objectively better. The characters' reactions to getting shot and their comrades dying is very well-acted and believable.     Graphics - This game is remarkably beautiful. Naughty Dog did wonderful in putting detail from characters to environment. Even in one scene you can stand in front of a mirror and Ellie makes faces and I was shocked by the detail in the animation (out of cutscene moment).

    Sound - Gun shots sound realistic and I found myself breaking glass just for fun. You can hear rain fall change from tress and leaves to roofing and streets. Voice acting is top notch, just like it was in the first game.

    Gameplay - EVERY SHOT COUNTS. Ammo is very scarce. You will find yourself at times choosing to shoot, hide, or run. Honestly, at the beginning of the game I was taking the stealth option. But towards the end I started wanting to engage into combat more. AI is dumb at times, I can shoot from a spot of grass and then crawl over to another patch of grass and they lose my position. However, if you are going gun blazing, then enemies will flank you and sneak up behind you. Friendly AI is very helpful, telling you to WATCH OUT when a enemy is coming out of no where to slap you. But friendly AI also does that really annoy thing where they get in the dang way or block a door (they do move out of your way, but still a little annoying at times). Leveling is very nice. you are able to customize guns and skill trees. NO you can not fully upgrade weapons or character so make every up grade count. The skill tree separates from stealth to fighting and to crafting.

    Story - OH BOY, I'll try to do the best I can without spoilers. I actually enjoyed the story to some degree. It seriously kept my interest and had me staying up late just to see what happens next. The message of the story is a very good meaning (at least how I interpreted it). Do I agree with everything in the story? NO, I don't but it still kept me engaged and had me wanting to see what would happen next. The ending left a bland taste in my mouth. It wasn't good nor was it bad (kind of like the first game). I just don't like bouncing back and forth in the story (being very vague there but that's intended). My favorite part with the story is that it makes it so conflicting and makes you ride a emotional roller coaster. You get to see two sides of a coin and it make you second guess characters and actions.

    Replay ability - While I wish it had some, it doesn't. Once I beat the game I was basically done. Now if you are a trophy hunter then there is a lot of work to do. It does offer a New Game+ where you can replay the game with all your gear. But for me personally I'm pretty done and satisfied.

    Over all this game is AMAZING! The big question everyone might ask is "Do you like it more than the first game?". To answer that question, No. While I do enjoy this game I felt like the first story between Ellie and Joel was much better.

    Should you Buy this game new, buy on sale, or never touch it.
    My answer is wait for Sale. This game is really good but not $60 amazing. Maybe $45 or so. And its the replay-ability that does that for me. If you like the first one then I do recommend buying the Part 2 at full price if you want.    … Expand

    "aha entendemos eso pero es que esto es propaganda LGBT" Pues no... este juego no es propaganda LGBT en ningún momento vemos que este 100% enfocado en decir "MIRENME SOY LESVIANA", es un juego completamente normal, el echo de que Ellie sea lesbiana no quiere decir que sea propaganda pues es algo que pudimos apreciar desde la anterior entrega y tampoco es que lo mencionen cada tres segundos, lo mencionan lo suficiente, son adolecentes hablando con adolecentes, es un tema completamente normal, piensen en que ahora tienen una vida más tranquila y no tendrían por que estar hablando todo el tiempo del virus, para ellos ya es algo de todos los días y viven sus días con "normalidad". Además que tiene de malo o raro? existen muchas personas de esa comunidad, no deberia ser raro que en los juegos también aparezcan, debería ser tan normal como si fuese heterosexual, simplemente son datos del personaje extra, la historia no va sobre si es o no es.

El final... el final es simplemente bueno aunque entiendo por que muchos lo odian o consideran malo, no es lo que querían ni esperaban pero así es la vida, no siempre obtienes lo que quieres y menos cuando el personaje no piensa como tu, Ellie decidió no matarla por que fuese cobarde si no, (desde mi punto de vista) decidió no matarla por sus memorias de joel, exactamente, el motivo de todo... Joel no hubiese querido que ellie viviese con esa carga en sus hombros toda su vida, no hubiese querido que ella se arriesgara, Joel siempre quiso lo mejor para Ellie y eso hay que entenderlo... además se pusieron a pensar que pasaría si ellie si hubiese matado a Abby? habría tenido que asesinar a lev tambien o el ciclo habría iniciado de nuevo... simplemente considero perfecto el como Ellie rompe el circulo en el que estaba atrapada de una vez por todas, todos querían venganza, todos querian a joel vivo pero... este juego es muy natural y real, nadie es inmortal...    … Expand

    Great game, the story is rough and that's why so many people didn't like it I guess. The graphics are amazing and the game-play is great. To appreciate the game you need to take a step back and think of the story naughty dogs is giving us. I loved it even if the ending can be frustrating for some people. Not everything goes as planned and not everyone gets happy ending! that's life ;)

The last of us 2 was such an amazing game the story was really good Neil Druckman said the game was about hate and revenge and he wasn’t lying, you’re just filled with hatred when you see Joel die but that’s Abby’s revenge for her father and Ellie is filled with anger and sadness for the murder of her father figure so she seeks out vengeance not letting anything get in her way trying to find and kill Abby, but Abby finds herself putting her life on the line for 2 former seraphites named Yara and Lev but also getting hunted down by her own faction the WLF, Yara dies leaving Lev without any other family and in Abby’s care and so then Lev is by Abby’s side wherever she goes and her protecting him as if he was family sounds familiar to tlou, but then she finds out all her friends are dead and it was mostly by the hands of Ellie and so they brawl out and having Abby escaping Ellie and leaving her broken and in the epilogue Ellie now has a family with J.J and Dina the baby is named after Joel and jesse, but Ellie still has ptsd and nightmares over Joels murder and one day A handicapped tommy comes and tells Ellie the whereabouts of Abby and Lev but Abby gets kidnapped while trying to look for the rest of the fireflies, and so Ellie looks for Abby and finds her broken and weak tied up to a pillar and forces her to fight by putting her knife to Lev’s throat and they fight it our once again and Ellie almost kills her by drowning her but ultimately gets a flashback of Joel and then Abby bites her 2 fingers off and she lets them go willingly knowing that she can be the better person so Abby leaves and most likely goes looking for the fireflies, and so Ellie goes home finding Dina and J.J gone and tries to play Joels song on the guitar but she’s unable to play with her fingers gone, the only thing that Joel can be remembered from but that’s also taken form her and so she leaves the guitar and walks away but the reason why Ellie was so filled with anger and vengeance is because she was starting to forgive Joel from not saving humanity but never got the chance to forgive him because the next day he was killed by Abby. I honestly say the story was amazing and I give big props to Neil Druckman and his team on this game… Expand

Как они слили просто Джоела, который никогда не верил незнакомцам, а тут поверил. Нелогичные поступки Элли, всех убивает, чтобы добраться до Эбби, но когда встречается с ней, щадит.... просто нет слов, только негодование, уже успокоилась, живет мирно с семьей, но решила отомстить, бросила Дину и ребёнка, чтобы отомстить, но пощадила.... логика есть?
    И почему я должен играть за убийцу любимого персонажа? Я после убийства терпеть её не могу, видеть не хочу, хочу чтобы ее убили также, как она Джоела, но при этом я играю за неё, из-за этого чуть-чуть пропало настроение играть, я бы лучше сыграл за Томми или Дину, персонажи интересные, особенно Томми, хотелось бы посмотреть его прошлую жизнь, а не Эбби.

    Completed the entire game start to finish. The graphics and gameplay were the highlight, the story genuinely ruined this game and series for me. The absolute worst kind of pseudo intellectual garbage writing i have ever sat through.     The game is built on false advertisement, and anyone with some sense could figure that out within the first couple hours. a game that is built on lies doesn’t deserve a good score.

    I do not recommend this game.
    This is a bad game. And not because the ruined expectations, there were none left after first leaks took place. This game has probably the worst story in the history of genre, the worst depiction of both male and female characters, terrible inconsistent plot and finally the worst lgbt and sjw propaganda that openly attacks the player. The only positive side of    I do not recommend this game.

    Achei o jogo mto bom, mta gente julga na vdd sem saber oq esta dizendo ao menos jogou o game, acho que The Last of us é mto mais que Joel e Ellie mas sim a sobrevivência humana, os novos personagens apresentados apresentam questões profundas e realistas alem do resto ser mto realista de tudo que eu ja vi simplesmente uma das maiores obras de arte dos videogames

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
