    The game is still as immersive and enjoyable as the first game. The graphics are impressive, visually the best. But the story is a joke, without a doubt the worst thing about this game. You would only earn a grade for the visual.

    Story: Not mine. In my opinion ND did everything wrong that can be done wrong. The fact that you have to play Abby is a rape for me as a player. Totally disappointed and uninstalled again. Don't want this game on my PS4!

    I wished I could get a refund. This game has horrible writing and really unlikable characters. The gameplay is not that innovative too. It still as the same boring pop and shoot and gets repetitive quickly. The game ocassionally has bugs and glitches thats make s gameplay segments frustrating. This is not a 10/10 game.     Incredible visuals and music can't make up for a complete lack of skill in writing. The story is unbelievable, full of plot holes, often depraved in failed attempts at adding shock factor and spits on the legacy of the original. A painful game to experience. It is further insult to injury that Naughty Dog used false advertising to sell the game to fans of the first.

    An OK game, don't know what all the hype was for. It was just an average game with an try hard story which wouldn't work with all the logical and rational somersaults required to make it believable.

    Everything good about this game died with ... The only thing that I get from this game is the feeling that playing games is waste of time because everything that characters do here is vain. Vain is the word that defines this game. I love the fist one.

    Script terrible, besides the gameplay are great. The thing is that, FOR ME, the story is essential. I play games just for the story, so I can't like this game even if have good graphics. I was waiting more cleverness in the script.

    The game was ruined. All actions and missions are repeated. You always just go kill zombies. ORDINARY ZOMBIES. And all the characters are alive ... no one talks to you constantly as it was in the first part of the game. Therefore, I do not advise buying this game.

    I couldn't play the fist one but i watch the cinematics on the internet and i really liked the story of the game.     Such a beautiful looking game and such a poor story. By and large, I will not give a game a good score any more just because of graphics. In this day and age of hyper-threaded processors, blazing fast video cards and SSD hard drives, gorgeous graphics should be the least you get in a game. But when that's all your game can boast, it isn't saying much.

    I liken this game to the 'torture-porn' episode of The Walking Dead where they killed Abraham and then they killed Glenn. Shock value and character deaths not because they make sense to the plot and overall story arc but because someone wants to shock and titilate.

    If all this game can do is say "Look how woke we are" then it isn't much of a game. You might as well go back and play the first one over since they didn't change anything else. Maybe Naughty Dog should go sit down and talk to Square Enix for lessons on how to innovate with one of your most successful and beloved franchises. If you aren't willing to do that, maybe then just stick with Crash Bandicoot titles    … Expand

    I would like to as the devs, how the hell Joel and ellie got so distant, I mean in the first game they had such a good chemistry, in the couple scenes we get to see them interact is like they strangers it's cringy as hell to see Joel interact with the girl he saved and considered a daughter. It's just stupid tbh..... Killing Joel right off the bat, are u serious?? The iconic character from first game... Are you serious?! Why so early??!! Why not more back story before it?!! People would probably wouldn't be so shocked..... But at this rate am done playing the game.... I played only thru the chick killing Joel and am done.. I was a big fan and didn't want to believe what the people was saying but this game is just poorly done.

The first game gave us an amazing story and experience, where you are part of the bonding process of Ellie and Joel. You learn how to love both of the characters, and the Left Behind adds to that. TLOU2? It's ridiculous compared to the first one. Joel's character was severely brain damaged by the writers to do what he does. The story unfolds with a promise of something you never achieve, nor Ellie. Not to mention the trailer where Joel first appears was nothing but a big fat lie, misleading us to the bad written plot Naugthy Dog had come up. I don't feel like I wasted money buying this game, instead I like to think I bought a little bit of wisdom in not falling for hype and critics pre-analysis or critics analysis at all. That's my first and I hope, only, review. I'm heartbroken with this game. If Naughty Dog still has one functional neuron on their collective mind, they would rearrange the game, placing it chronologically. The flash backs between Ellie and Joel would happen first, and then we would be dragged to the "present" it wouldn't fix the poorly written story, but it would give a decent pace to the narrative and it would show a small appreciation and respect for the fans of the first installment of the franchise. 1/10… Expand

    Unbelievably disappointing and heartbreaking. I returned the game and will never purchase another title from this studio or Druckmann. I have never seen such horrible writing, pacing, and tone. They spit in the face of the fans and destroyed the characters we loved for nothing more than the furtherance of the creators ego.

    I really loved the first game, like most fans. After waiting 7 years and Naughty Dog pushing the release date 3 times. It was a bitter disappointment. Especially after investing 25 hours playing it.

    I want my money back!

    So I played the whole game and it was only a torture, only one single moment was epic. (that's why 1/ 10). At the end I just rushed through it because it was making me more and more uncomfortable to playing the game. I was never so disappointed in a game, first part of the last of us was 10/10.

    5 overall forced LGBT content that in reality was used as a selling point.
    6 Strange and unusual choices by developers
    7 many game breaking bugs and glitches
    8 the way they deceived fans by including Joel in scenes from trailers that do not exist in the actual game.
    I have nothing against LGBT people however it is clear to myself and others that it is not trying to normalise these people and was instead a way for Naughty Dog to gain interest and respect from their fans.

    Apart from right and wrong, the agony and decisions Joel made for Ellie in Part 1 were respectable. Ignoring all of these parts and killing Joel in vain and manipulating Abby, the cause of it, makes me very angry.
    Also, because this game ignored these parts(Character setting and world view), it seems that there is a logical error in the middle of the story and a contradiction in the new character. I don’t know what arts are trying to destroy the Last of us all. If there was respect for the previous work and respect for the fans, the story's outcome would have been unfolded in a different direction in the process, even if it did not change.
    Unlike a movie or a book, users who play games are more actively engaged in the experience of immersing in the character and sharing emotions. Of course, developer may have some freedom in game production, but I don't know what part 2 is for. It feels like it's just to take advantage of fame for Part 1.    … Expand

    The way they massacred Joel's character... why would he suddenly trust a bunch of strangers like that... It made no sense. And please, don't tell me it's because he's mellowed out after those years living peacefully. That is just dumb storytelling.
    I don't know. It just feels like a whole waste of a game. None of the new characters are interesting, because they barely get any meaningful development, and they suddenly they die in some bs way. Abby, the second protagonist, is straightup a psychopath and is impossible to sympathize with. Yeah sure, she helps children and pets a dog, woohoo, but that doesn't erase the fact that she murders people in cold blood and shows 0 remorse (unlike Ellie).

    Man, I don't know, i'm just sad, waited 7 years for this. What a letdown, what a waste, what an awful unsatisfying ending, what a dumb story, what a dumb cast of characters.... whatever, screw naughty dog, screw the people that thought this story was acceptable.    … Expand

    The game is beautiful, but boring gameplay-wise (the loot/shoot/change-scene is feeling pretty outdated in 2020, I guess), especially when it takes place in a world we've already discovered in TLoU.
    This in itself would mean a 5/10.
    Add to this a story (which was arguably the strongest point of its predecessor) that tries to be subversive but just ends up missing the mark, and you end up with a 3/10.
    Sprinkle on top a zest of divisive political agenda and a negative attitude towards anyone genuinely expressing concerns about th game, and you end up with an even more sour experience and a 1/10.

    As a sidenote, I should emphasize that having a political undertone in a game is not a problem per se. But it becomes a problem when it turns into an agenda that supplants other aspects of the game. For instance, when the a priori decision to have "strong" women (read: women that are like men, for some reason) pushes you to design an ultra-buffed girl that doesn't make sense in such a post-apo world (an ultra-buffed man wouldn't either btw), or to put a pregnant woman on the front line when such a person would be the most valuable for the surviving community at that very moment. That's not "strong", that's ridiculous. So ridiculous that you end up seeing the writers pulling the strings instead of losing yourself in a consistent story.    … Expand

    I’ve played last of us part 1 a numerous amount of times and is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Therefore, my excitement for this game was through the roof, I couldn’t wait to finish where the first game left off. However, the approach they took in telling this story in part 2 is absolutely horrible. What made last of us part 1 beautiful was it’s simplicity and it’s evolvingI’ve played last of us part 1 a numerous amount of times and is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Therefore, my excitement for this game was through the roof, I couldn’t wait to finish where the first game left off. However, the approach they took in telling this story in part 2 is absolutely horrible. But for insanely strange reason, they completely destroyed what made the first game so beloved.     Los pro's del juego en si es lo mismo que caracterizó a la primera entrega, limpiamente en tanto gameplay como en gráficos, sublime en esos sentidos.. A parte que por partes te sientes en un mundo abierto al momento de explorar.

    Aqui va lo malo de ésta entrega (spoilers advertidos desde este punto), y es que es muy pobre en cuanto a la historia, desde un comienzo te quitan a un personaje realmente importante, con el cual simpatizabas en gran medida.. Te meten personajes sin un desarrollo como Dina y Jessy, que lo unico que hacen es frenar el rumbo de Ellie de comienzo a fin. Luego van los flashbacks, el punto a favor que tiene es el flashback del cumpleaños de ellie con joel, pero todo se va al abismo por la sobre actuación de la personaje principal al saber la realidad de las luciérnagas, sin entender el propósito que hubo tras Joel, a eso súmenle que te intentan meter de manera obligada a la antagonista, para que "simpatices" con sus propósitos, simplemente obligado, gratis, horrendo según mi punto de vista.

    a Tommy que fue una voz de la razón y el personaje carismático de la entrega, en momentos finales te lo venden como un viejo loco, eso más Dina que abandona a ellie sin entender el punto de venganza y rencor que tiene contra Abby (la antagonista de la entrega), todo esto termina metiéndose a la psique de la protagonista al momento de su venganza, sin poder concretar la muerte de Abby y por ende, dejándola viva.. El único personaje con el cual podías simpatizar termina cayendo al abismo, junto Tommy, jessy y Dina, simplemente despreciable el uso final de Ellie y sus flashbacks de sobre reacción hacia Joel, todo lo que hicieron bien en The las of Us 1 lo han terminando matar de manera pobre en una segunda entrega, que pasaron 7 años puliendo para finalmente entregarnos lo peor .. No character is treated with dignity or justice and the inclusivity of the LGBTQ ideals is chalked up to the entirety of Ellie's character. Instead of becoming a complex character she is essentially now an angry lesbian lmao. This game needs a complete overhaul or redevelopment because I am really not happy with the outcome.… Expand

    I loved the first game to death, played it all the way through 3 times in 2 weeks. But this game is just **** utter trash. I have never been so... let down... The only thing this game has going for it is the graphics. Thanks Neil for killing off one of my favorite franchises.
