    Absolutely frustrating, gave the game several chances to allow me to understand from the perspective of the characters, but it was executed so poorly, and at the end, the game does'nt even give us an option to choose, and we had to live with such an awful ending.

    I feel Naughty Dog completely missed the point on what made the first game so masterful. The first game showed despite how bleak things are, there is always room for hope and there will always be beauty if you look hard enough. This game throws that out of the window and forces the player to experience an exponentially increasing exercise of misery and pain with no pay off, at all.     I never had high hopes for Fallout 76, which makes The Last of Us 2 the biggest gaming letdown I've ever experienced. The 9/10 visuals and score could not save this game from being an overall 1. I won't give away any parts of the story, but just know that your day will go much better if you spend that $60 on takeout and watch a play-through instead.

But part 2 is one of the worst games I've ever played. This game is plagued by too much lgbt and it kills beloved characters just for shock value. The whole game is just a repetitive kill kill or be killed it's one of the most depressing games I've ever played and that's not a good thing.     Que forma mas lamentable de terminar una historia, vi prácticamente a uno de los mejores personajes de los vídeo juegos un héroe tan humano como todos con errores y apegos, acabar su historia de la manera mas inusual y absurda posible. repito Lamentable.     I had high hopes until I heard that 70% of Naughty Dogs team left during or after production of last of us 2. I dreamed of working for them and this game was a nail in the coffin. The characters I loved were treated with disrespect and the characters I hated got way more screen time then I wanted. This game was torture porn.

The gameplay and graphics are on-par with naughty dog standard, but the story bombs SO HARD.     For a game thats 90% story based this is tragic. The gameplay is outdated and a bit weird, but the same case could easily be made for the first game, which I hold in very high regard. Naugthy Dog had every opportunity to make this a masterpiece. Clunky gameplay and an unfinishable story, this game is too hard to enjoy.

    Today ; The Last of US pt 2 is finally out . Reviews and previews were on youtube ; so i decided to just watch it . WHAT - THE - EFFFF -- What bothered me the wasnt the DEATHS OF SOME BELOVED CHARACTERS ... it was the delivery that really bothered me

    1) This game is heavily disjointed - Why on earth is the player forced to control the person who killed a certain someone to go after ELLIE !?>!?!??! THAT BLOWS MY F'IN MIND

    2) The ending . .. so i saw the final fight . REALLY ? its like KILL BILL but without killing bill !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    Im so glad i saved $85 dollars of my hard earned money on this ; not to mention HOURS and HOURs of gameplay . I was hoping for a similar experience as i did for the first last of us ; but thank goodness for the leaks that happened a couple of months ago ...

    I hope Naughty Dog / Neil D. learns from this . Really sad that they went this route .

Let's get back to that dog in a bit, but for now, let's sum up everything you need to know about this game without    This is a legitimate review of an absolutely incredible game.

    First off, you know that loyal dog, right? Everyone has either heard of it, or has one. That's a damn loyal dog, We all love that dog, he's in this...so wait for it at the end.

    Let's get back to that dog in a bit, but for now, let's sum up everything you need to know about this game without writing a book.

    Legit kill off your best friend. You know, like let's just have him/her/it/binary whatever die. That's solid.
    Let's make it sad, stupid sad, but make sure it has no point....no point at all, let's just focus on anger, not legitimate reason or emotion.
    Fast forward, omg...Robert De Niro is in this....wait is he? Nope, It's Nancy Pelosi in reverse drag.
    Turns out she's your dad.
    It's all good...go have some gay sex. it'll make it all better.

    Fast forward, oh it's over. Wait what was I fighting for? I can't remember...but it's solid..hella solid.
    Wait it's not over.
    Turns out in the end, Nancy is your real dad, she had a sex change, and secretly was the bad guy at the same time, but it's ok....because the loyal dog at the end comes and destroys her....but then eats you and destroys you...just like he destroyed our hopes and dreams.

    I know...there's a few plot holes, and maybe everything wasn't accurate or in line with the story of the first game, but if you really pay attention to my review, it all makes sense and the critics will agree... 10/10 would play again.

    Where's Nathan Drake? 9/10 didn't make sense, i thought he'd be in it by the end the way things were going.

    +1 for graphics and the effort the ops/engi's put into this game and put up with bull ****    … Expand

    All the good things about this game are trumped by the terrible writing and being forced to play as a character which doesn't have the proper set-up to make us care. The game isn't fun to play and felt like    Felt like Game of Thrones Season 8. Everything like graphics, gameplay etc all firing at all cylinders, except for the awful writing, and poor decision making on behalf of Naughty Dog.
    All the good things about this game are trumped by the terrible writing and being forced to play as a character which doesn't have the proper set-up to make us care. The game isn't fun to play and felt like a chore after the 2 hour mark.
    Also the fact that there is such a gap between user and critic reviews tell me alot about the untrustworthy industry, and confirms the fears regarding the bad rumours going around about the shady dealings of Naughty Dog.    … Expand

To take a beloved franchise and insert pandering political narratives that nobody cares about and to treat the two main characters the way he did is unforgiveable. I feel sorry for the dev team who painstakingly created such a beautiful world only to have it ruined by a truly awful narrative. OverNaughty Dog director Neil Druckmann will hopefully never direct a game again after this. To take a beloved franchise and insert pandering political narratives that nobody cares about and to treat the two main characters the way he did is unforgiveable. I feel sorry for the dev team who painstakingly created such a beautiful world only to have it ruined by a truly awful narrative. Over 70% of the naughty dog staff resigned over the treatment of this game and the staff by Druckmann. Hopefully this is the last time a blockbuster is ruined by a woke narrative and we can all learn our lesson from this but i doubt it.… Expand

The game does not improve on the gameplay department. 7 years later and we got a story that tries to make you feel bad for not supporting lesbian/trans. it tries too hard to push that agenda. A big disappointment for those of us that waited all these years expecting an improvement but instead we got a game that we wish would have been fine to never have been made in the first place. Characters in the game you don't care about unlike TLOU1. Just a sad game all the way through from beginning to end where as the first game you have some heart felt moments.… Expand

    It is just a big disappointment. Graphics and game play is better than the 1st one, but it is overall a boring experience. The story is the main problem. It just felt very forced and full of plot holes.

    Game isn’t what you’d expect, they managed to mess up a good storyline, there are so much holes in this story, I’m starting to think they didn’t care for it as much. Joel dies LITERALLY 30 minutes into the game or less. I can’t believe what I just played this is not acceptable, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Do yourself a favor.     Well, the story is terrible, and for a game that's all about the storytelling, this can't be a good game. If you order a chicken sandwich and the bread is great but the chicken is nasty and stringy, that's basically what this game is. I don't know why the critics gave this such high scores. There's really not a lot you get to do in this game either. It feels like I'm being forced to go through the motions just to see what happens next. I kind of wish this "game" was just a movie or something, because at least then it would be condensed into 2 hours of suffering and probably be a lot cheaper.

    Also, for a company that calls itself Naughty Dog, you would think they would know how to program realistically moving dogs in their games. Unfortunately, I saw multiple occasions where a dog would somehow pivot and turn without moving its legs, like it's a freakin' M1A1 Abrams tank. I am pretty sure I've seen more convincing animation in games from 10+ years ago. Hopefully they'll at least patch that nonsense.

However, the real reason any fan of the first game would want to buy the second is because of the story. And that's where NG has ruined it.     "Is this really happening right now?" is something I constantly kept thinking...in a bad way. The only reason Joel and Ellie are in this game is to trick you into caring about this completely one note standard revenge plot. A single point for being technically impressive.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. this game has a terrible story. it ruined the franchise. the characters don't act like themselves only for the sake of the poorly written plot. it's a horrible disappointment compared to the first game, which was probably one of the best games i've ever played in my life. the gameplay is fine, i just personally don't like the dodging mechanism. other than that the exploring is pretty fun, i'll give it that.
    the graphics are beautiful too, very nice attention to detail.
    the only problem is the story. (spoiler alert)
    the way they kill off Joel is just horrible. Joel would never trust a group of strangers. for example, in the first game, while he's driving in Pittsburgh with Ellie and spots a man screaming for help, claiming he is hurt. Joel obviously didn't trust him and attempted to hit him with the car. but in the new game, he decides to trust Abby without a doubt. this isn't what Joel would've really done. Ellie doesn't actually feel like herself too in this game. she seems more sad and she's a little rude. she's also unmotivated unlike in the first game, she did whatever she could to make it to the Fireflies. but of course, this is for the plot i assume.
    The Last of Us was the story of Joel and Ellie bonding. now Part II is just a crappy revenge story and they decide to kill off the main character. what a disappointment.    … Expand

    Killing a lead character in early start of the game in a way that is so cold and unneeded. You could just make his death a little more important than that, giving all the things he have been through.

    Is making a character like ABBY even her name is obnoxious!!! Body builder figure for a female character, for what reason? And to make her the killer of a main character added oil to the fire.
    You destroyed this game i wish I didn’t buy nor play it so the timeline could have stopped with the first part for me.

I have no hate towards Ellie’s new relationship with Dina, in fact I think that is one of the bright spots of this game. I don’t like how Naughty Dog is forcing Abby on us. She kills Joel early in the game but than we are supposed to sympathize with her. Nothing bad ever happens to her, meanwhile all this terrible **** is happening to Ellie. Heard rumors about a potential 3rd game. Hopefully Abby gets what she deserves. I really think a sequel wasn’t necessary. The first game was amazing and this sequel doesn’t come close to its greatness. I just feel so disappointed.… Expand

I had really high hopes for this game, not for the gameplay, but for its immersive story telling. Sadly, it never feels immersive, and the story is an absolute mess. I tried to keep an open mind, and say that it is just different and maybe revolutionary... I was just reaching for something that wasn’t there.

The Last of Us Part II is all looks, very little substance. The game design-wise was gorgeous and I definitely give a massive congratulations to that department, and it was so nice to see a lesbian lead...butThis game was extremely disappointing and it really let me down.
