    I was so hyped for this game and all i want to say is that this game is really really dissapointing. The critics said many good things but in reality, the critics are just useless. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
    Now onto the review:
    Pros: -The graphics. Its really good. yeah. thats it. -Sound, music, and voice acting are also very good.     - PLOT HOLES. Wow. There are so many plot-holes its insane.

    - Total disregard for our loved characters...

    Worst story and character development. Abby character makes no sense. Game play is same as the previous game except jump feature. Visuals are the only positive thing about the game. Overall bad experience.

The game is graphically beautiful but the story itself has failed entirely to serve as even an adequate follow-up to the beloved game that won our hearts all those years ago. This is a game born of bitterness, and an agenda. The people over at naughty dog hate this game, and they hate you for playing it. I'm all for an emotional gut punch, and it's fine if the blows keep coming, and don't ever stop, sometimes that's life and it can be used to drive a person forward. My disappointment with this game comes in the form of it not showing respect for it's characters, it's story, or it's fans.

    The people over at Naughty Dog were paid to make this, and they just put together this awful game, although they should be proud of the technical side of it. Beyond that though, this is a game with fun gameplay, beautiful graphics, and a terrible story. No one acts how they should, given their backstory, and you don't teach any lessons in this game which is supposed to have a moral. If you really wanted me to realize that revenge is bad, than maybe have a scene where Ellie marches through a graveyard that has pictures and names of the people she's killed, or you know all the dogs she killed. Or maybe put something in place that would allow Ellie to get through the game without killing hundreds. Or perhaps simply make it a choice at the end. write a compelling story for Abby and Ellie, and make me feel for both of their plights and then at the end, I as the player get to decide, do I kill Abby, or do I spare her and be the better person.

    That could have been an awesome story, instead we got this, no payoff, no lesson learned. Just an up front fee of sixty dollars, followed by a golf club to the knees.

    This game is a sad excuse for a sequel and it's a shame that this series is over. I hope they leave the Last of Us alone now. I hope this game get's all the hate it deserves, I hope Naughty Dog loses out on profits, and learns that this isn't the way forward. I know they probably wont, and we'll be seeing a Last of Us part 3 one day, but I have no hope for it, no excitement. I'll stick to the first game which I love so much, and I'll inevitably buy it again for the third time when they decide to remaster it on the next gen consoles. This game will swiftly be forgotten. It'll be in the bargain bin within weeks of it's release. A sad death for what was once something so filled with hope.

    If you are reading this, know that this game will only disappoint you. It's got good gameplay and beautiful graphics, a technical masterpiece, but the story is bad, and it tries to make you feel bad for playing the first game. It's obvious to me that someone high up at Naughty Dog hates this game, and the people who like it, and that person has had plenty of control over it. To whomever leaked the game, thank you for saving so many people their money. I hope future titles from all companies see what happened here and take something from it. You're free to make art, and I'm free to hate it and call it trash. I hope Naughty Dog finds it's true fans, the people they are obviously making this game for. I hope it's everything they wanted. But I wont be buying future Naughty Dog titles. Not when they come out, and not for weeks afterwards. I wont buy another Naughty Dog game until I see from those financially braver than I that it's a good game.

    Oh and one last thing to Naught Dog, I hope all of those reviews you bought were worth the price. Because now you might as well remove the critic score from every site out there. No one will ever trust them again. Good Job.    … Expand

    You know how in the witcher 3 you could decide with who you want to have sex or just not have sex at all and focus in the game. Well in this game get ready because if you are ready or not, your eyes are going to get F when you see how the character that you use(abby) is going to get it if you wanted or not. However, the enviroment is incredible so it gets one point for it.

    If you want to play a game where try to do the best but still you get F all the time then play this game. In my case i am going to leave it where is at and i just prefer to wait for the complete spoilers and not spend more hours playing this thing.    … Expand

    Graphics at 710, standard 2020. The gameplay does not bring anything new. Don't expect a paradise of feelings like in the first part. It's an ordinary game, normally made, with an ordinary story. It's not exciting.

    They probably decided to do the second part just for SJW and LGBT. If they hadn’t lied in their videos, there would have been 5 points

Just completed the Last of Us Part 2, and I have got to say that this is the single most disappointing sequel to a video game that I can remember. After over 5 years of development gameplay has not changed apart from the ability to go prone and jump, which are fundamental mechanics you would think would’ve been in the game from the first installment. The game moves incredibly slow and contains little to no character development. Pair these with the horrible plot and terrible agenda that shaped the game’s story into the piece of garbage that it was, and this will surely to be looked back at as one of the most underwhelming releases in video game history.… Expand

    I do not recommend buying this pile of trash unless you enjoy a terribly written, depressing game that tries to preach some cliche message about revenge in a not-very-clever way. If you ONLY like a game because of it having representation of all types of people, then you'll love it. Beyond angry that I spent money on it. Hopefully I can still return it.

    I regret buying this so much, this is the perfect recipe on how to make gay characters hateable, we all played ME3 and DA:I and had gay characters, there was no problem, but you force this, you make a loved character become hateable, make us do regrettable things then berate us for it and dont get me started on the massive disparity between votes, 95 critic score? are you insane?

    Managed to hide from the leaks and got the game day 1 because I am hugely obsessed with the first game. It truly hurts with what they did to this story when they should be receiving kudos for such amazing graphics and AI.

    The positive reviewers like to act like they are making good points when arguing why Joel was meant to die. One can argue that Joel deserves to die in order for the plot to move, he was never established as a morally good character and he made a selfish decision which condemned the human race. Some people are angry Joel died and MOST of us are angry about how he died. My take on this would be much different if we were introduced to Abby long before she brutally murders Joel. They set them self up with an insurmountable task of creating empathy for Abby. And they didn't even try, we got a ten minute scene where she saves a Zebra with her father then they reveal Abby is the person who convinced them Ellie should be murdered to save humanity. If the writers are trying to make the player empathize with Abby why would they establish her as the one who condemned Ellie which inevitably led to Joel killing her father?

    Later on in the story we are introduced to Lev who saves Abbys life. This prompts Abby to betray the wolves to save Lev. This decision of Abbys feels like a fruitless attempt by the writers to establish Abby as a morally good character in order to gain empathy from the audience. They're trying to define Abby as selfless contrary to her making numerous selfish decisions. It's hard to say anything for certain about Abby's character because every other decision is conflicting. One moment she is selfless the next she is selfish. When it comes to condemning Ellie her morals are for the good of the many but when it comes to saving Lev her morals are for the good of the few. She gets very angry when she finds out Ellie has killed her friends yet she's already betrayed these friends and was prepared to leave these friends behind to help Lev.

    The story overall is nonsensical and revolves around and characters literally abandoning and losing everything in a fruitless quest for revenge. Both Abby and Ellie quite literally sacrificed everything over avenging the deaths of two people in a world where everyone has lost someone. Death and violence is around almost every corner of this world. Yet for whatever reason these two people are so special our characters travel thousands of miles killing hundreds to enact their revenge. Even after watching the bond which is formed between Joel and Ellie in the first game I have a hard time believing that Joel's death was enough to bring on this murderous rampage. Especially after Joel and Ellie’s rough relationship has been established.

    This world isn't the same world we were put into in the first game. There is no hope in this world, there is only violence and sadness. The violence is so over the top that by the end of the game I was completely numb to it all. The game heavily relies on shock value that was brought about through overly violent and grotesque actions perpetrated towards beloved characters which was so overly used it left me feeling nothing when the game came to it's final conclusion and this mattered the most. At no point were we given any sort of relief or loving character development which gave us respite from the sadness and violence of this world previously. In the first game Ellie provided 90% of this relief from the awful world we were witnessing. But she is now a shadow of her former self, despite spending her years safe and sheltered in a settlement with electricity she has completely lost the spark we saw in the first game. The conclusion of the game is hollow, hundreds die in this needless revenge plot and one singular person being saved who the player has established no empathy for is supposed to bring meaning to all the meaningless violence.    … Expand

    In Last of Us 1, there was a DLC, you know what I mean... that was ok, it was a DLC. But now, you build a complete game for this overdosed PC things... just go and duck yourself Naughty!

    Way too grim. Especially in 2020. This games release timing is bad luck but the story is just plain bad. If anything positive I can say it's that it makes me appreciate developers that make light hearted games that can be brilliant like rayman legends and ori. If you want and good post apocalyptic game I'd suggest metro: exodus

    The technical aspects can be fine but without a compelling story tying it all together it all falls flat. Worth buying only after a huge price drop. The Last Jedi of Us is a disappointing exercise in neglecting your audience wishes

But anyways, I tried to give this game a shot even after the spoilers to see if it was going to be redeemable. Definitely was not redeemable. The entire story revolves around Joel's death and the Ellie's journey for revenge. But the kicker is after Joel is brutally murdered they force you to play as Abby (Joel's killer) in a ploy to make you feel something for her. But Abby isn't even remotely likable in any regard. But can you really like her after you watched her brutally murder Joel? This plot choice alone makes you ponder wtf were they thinking throughout the entire play through. Then the ending is completely unsatisfactory and meaningless. Ellie goes through the entire story trying to enact revenge (even leaving her gf) to go find Abby and it ends up she just lets Abby go. Yup they did that too. Ellie basically murders most of Abby's friends and comrades in Joel's name only to let Abby go.... The tone also shift throughout the story where Ellie and Abby have dialogue where they're trying to talk things out but then suddenly start trying to kill eachother. This game is a mess. Shame on whoever wrote this garbage and ruined a beloved series. Naughty Dog's reputation is going to be severely tarnished after this big miss of a game. Oh and the Gameplay is the exact same as 2013 nothing was changed - the gameplay is some how even less existent than it was in 2013.… Expand

    I'll try to break this down into 3 parts so that this won't be any long unnecessary writings.

    Beginning: The game starts with Joel telling Tommy about the lie from the end of Last of Us. Joel describes it in such a way that we as audience should empathize with the NPC doctors and nurses. I get that there are two perspectives in every story but it just felt like the writers didn't know what to write and went with a revenge plot. So basically that firefly doctor was not just a throwaway NPC but he literally drives this Part 2. Abby is the daughter of that firefly doc and wants a revenge (to kill Joel).
    Imagine how many NPC's daughters would want Nathan Drake dead then. Yeah so now you get how stupid this sounds.

    Middle: We are introduced to many new characters like Jesse, Dina, Abby, Owen and others I didn't bother to remember since they mattered very less or had zero character development. Oh yeah we also have this transgender character that Abby saves just to make us feel better. I don't have anything against transgender, gays or any other LGBTQ community. Its just that there is no interesting backstories that I could get behind or anything like that. It's just plain boring.
    In the first 2 hours Joel is clubbed to death by Abby and we have to watch him suffer from two angles (perspectives) one from Ellie's POV and other from Abby's POV. After this I thought maybe we have to kill Abby to have that satisfying end to what Abby did to my favorite character but nope Naughty Dog legit says **** you and we have to watch this very dark and depressing ending that I'll get into in the next para. We do go through this intense journey with Dina and kill Abby's friends and family like Owen and Mel and others. Then we play as Abby (YES WTAF RIGHT?) and we see from her perspective. Mind you the game is still trying to make you feel bad for Abby.

    End: So, Abby kills Jesse, shoots Tommy in the face, almost kills Dina whose pregnant until that trans dude says not to. After all this we cut to black and in the next scene we see Ellie holding Dina's baby and they're in the farm. Classic western retirement plans. Tommy tells Ellie that the cult has captured Abby and the trans dude. At first Ellie says "I am done vengeance consume me" like T'Challa but the very next scene we see Ellie packing bags and getting ready to murder. Okay so now I thought yes finally I get to brutally kill Abby for what she did to Joel. No, we go there have a knife and fist fight just to get to the point where Ellie changes her mind in 4 seconds and let's Abby escape. So all this killing for 100s of men and women to just get this weird ending? What? Why?
    So at the very end scene we see Ellie trying to play the guitar the only thing she could keep as a reminder of Joel but she can't because Abby legit chewed off Ellie's fingers in a fight. Camera zooms into the guitar with the window behind and we see Ellie walking down the field to I guess where Dina went. The End.

    Last of us Part 3: Ellie is killed by some NPC's son. Roll credits.

    Technical side of the review: The gameplay is same as the first one. Not much of a improvement I would say. The AI is a bit better and a bit harder to tackle compared to the first game. The animations are smooth. The graphics are obviously insane because its Naughty Dog.

    Overall: Its a **** movie with a mediocre gameplay in between.    … Expand

    Felicito a los programadores, diseñadores, actores de doblaje e interpretación; y demás artistas que trabajaron en el ámbito visual y técnico de este videojuego, hicieron un trabajo excelente. Solo por ellos no me arrepiento de haber pagado los 60 dolares que costó este proyecto. Nada más que decir.

    Lol did Naughty Dogs must of hired the creators of the Walking Dead for the story because this game is absolutely trash, and that’s coming from Naughty Dog lover who played through all of the Uncharted games, loved the first LOU, and even Crash bandicoot.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
