    the game forces you to play a disgusting looking character that you hate making it a slog getting it to the end. The ending is absolutely disastrous. the game play is boring, easy and riddled with bugs. But the worst part is the hideous sex scene that is unskippable as far i know. This game isn't worth 5$.

    if you just want to have the cd in your collecction ok, but if you think you are goin to have the same experience,cathc from the first game,you are wrong, for the lore is ok but for the game itself(the plot more specific, it is a waste of money and time.

    I do not understand how can a studio ruin such a beloved set of characters. I won't go into details regarding the story due to spoilers but... wow.

    Also, the gameplay is the same as the first game without adding to it. So when I consider the value of the game I focus a lot on the story and that, I really hated.

    Good graphics though... for whatever that's worth.

    Don’t buy this turd.
    Naughty Dog used misleading trailers which show Joel as one of the main characters. But he gets killed in the first 2 hours. And the way he dies is totally ridiculous.

    If you still want to buy this, I suggest you wait a little longer until it lands in the bargaining bin.

ND apparently have no idea what made the first game so great, which were the interactions between Ellie and Joel, without this the game would have been just another generic zombie game.     This game provides good graphics but the story is terrible. I can feel that Naughty Dog wants to create a "unusual" and "deep" story but in fact it makes every character in this game unlikable. I cannot empathize with the characters, nor can I understand some of their actions or choices. Also, the astonishing sex scene in this game is really disgusting and ugly that makes me uncomfortable.

    Everything you've heard is true. Somehow, they've raised the bar in terms of disappointing sequels. After Mass Effect 3, I didn't think a game could self-destruct so hard, but here we are again... My mind boggles. How can any writer think these were good choices for their chsracters?

I can understand and also agree with the support they want to give to the LGBT community but they ruined the story while doing this and that's unacceptable. If you're expecting a masterpiece narrative such as the first game you probably gona be very disappointed. This game doesn't deserve a better score, that's for sure.

Joel saves abby, joel tells strangers his name then dies by them. You search for a character(Abby) to kill but end up getting your ass beat. Ellie gets warned to not let Abby see her. Get forced fed sjw transgender stuff about a girl wanting to be a boy but her people didn't like it and weren't treating her right. You (Ellie ) find Abby and damn near drown her only to let her live. Come to an empty home not able to play the guitar well with the missing fingers. Ellie then leaves the house. Their dialogues are empty, unfeeling and distant. It's about killing hundreds of people with a frightening lightness, but instead they are terribly affected by things that pale in comparison.     I understand what they tried with the game, the problems is not the idea, it's the execution of it. The game guides you all time to hated with Ellie and trying to emphatize with Abby. The problem is that they did that so poorly.

    if you are like me, then you loved and adored The Last Of Us part 1 (2013) and just like me, would consider yourself to be a hardcore fan that played the entire game a hand full of times while also not only buying it on the ps3 but also the remaster on the ps4. this being said, i was extremely excited for the last of us part 2. however, i do not feel as    Wow... where to begin...

    if you are like me, then you loved and adored The Last Of Us part 1 (2013) and just like me, would consider yourself to be a hardcore fan that played the entire game a hand full of times while also not only buying it on the ps3 but also the remaster on the ps4. this being said, i was extremely excited for the last of us part 2.

    however, i do not feel as though i have been given the last of us part 2. i feel as though i have been given a game which is being carried on the back of its original 2013 masterpieces' success. this being said, i do not want this review to be seen as some other reviews as (this person hates the game just because of the gay characters and other similar character details). my feelings are quite the opposite, as i feel these details do not matter within games, they are just merely extra character details and should not affect if a game is good or not. in fact i loved learning that Ellie was homosexual and experiencing her first love within the last of us 2013 DLC. moving onto my actual issues with the game:

    Joel, a man with such a horrific past of being a bandit, smuggler and un-trusting person in the first game, to the point of only truly starting care for Ellie half way through the first game and especially after her being kidnapped and attacked. for some reason loses all of this in the last of us part 2, giving not only his name away freely (which he knows would be bad in this situation given how many people he has crossed. even Ellie explains this WITHIN the first part of TLOU 2), but allowing himself to be surrounded by a large group of strangers and most importantly allowing the location of their town to be revealed. this is not the Joel i know and is definitely not the man we were given in the first game who as we might remember considered Ellie just 'cargo' for a substantial while and had spent 20+ years surviving this collapse of society and gruesome apocalypse. to simply tear him from the fans who loved him so much for simple sock value and to justify this dumb revenge plot is quite frankly heartbreaking as a fan and is a lazy, poor way to try and kick start a sequel which could have been better.... this is just one of my major issues

    i feel as though to explain all the reasons i dislike, maybe even hate this game, would make such a review too long, so i will simply do a sort/quick rundown and if this review is seen by many or few and is liked i will expand.

    i feel as though they have torn half the soul out of this game in a brutal, unneeded manor.

    trailers were so misleading in putting fans in a safe space of making us believe joel would be in TLOU 2, not just stupid FLASHBACKS!

    the game comes no where close as to developing on the original combat or mechanics apart from a prone movement stance which isnt even combat

    i feel as though no meaningful connections were made between characters to the point of what joel and ellie had and makes me not really care what happens to them. its has if ND never played the original and didnt know that the characters made the first game what it was, along with the main storytelling.

    some parts of the game like the abby sex scene made me feel uncomfortable. not because it was sex but because was it needed?

    i feel as though the only part of the original last of us i have here is the beautiful graphics and world design to remind me im supposed to be playing its successor.

    for someone who told fellow friends not to believe or be fixated on the leaks and to go into the game with and open mind because it would be great. i feel like an idiot. who now would have preferred to have no squeal and was just left with my masterpiece last of us. i doubt i will play this again and do not want a part 3 if this is the type of game i am to expect in the future. save your money, do not buy the game and keep the precious memories of this game franchise while you can.

Everything about the first game fans loved was almost completely done away with. The only parts I enjoyed were a few flashback sequences with Joel. Everything else was poorly written and executed. Naughty Dog decided to go the political route, when all fans wanted was to see the main characters of the first game continue their journey together. The graphics were amazing, like we all knew they would be, but everything else felt empty and literally pointless. Nothing is achieved with this story and the characters do not grow in any way. Joel’s arc was utterly disgraceful and his character disrespected. Ellie is not relatable in this at all compared to the first installment.     Conclusion: If you loved the first game, you should never considering to play this one, because it will ruin all your expectations. If you just play it as an action or adventure game without caring about the story then it's not that bad, but still it's not a big deal, and it certainly doesn't worth 60$.    … Expand

    Felt hollow with just a political narrative. The gameplay felt smooth and improved but not the main focus. Story and character usually was. It mattered little to care for the beloved characters of prior just to focus on other characters' poor introductions and involvements.

    it doesn't get any better from there, only worse up until it really feels like we the player have been forced into a long depressing cutscene on rails where we are forced to make the worst decisions possible and then forced to endure the horrible outcome.
    its an experience I don't suggest to anyone really the game is riddled with triggers like, sexual abuse animal abuse, abuse abuse, soft and hard porn, etc. the game also has plot wholes and confusing characters who do and say things that make no sense what so ever.
    my final opinion after playing about half of the game and giving up after being forced to kill a couple innocent puppys, the game does a pretty bad job of keeping you engaged while telling an overall depressing story with an even more depressing end. gameplay mechanic wise I guess you could say it played good for the short time it felt like I actually got to play, during my play thru I kept finding myself saying "oh do I have to move now" over and over again to a point where the game was putting me to sleep.

Where after this long journey between two strangers that butted heads from the beginning finally bonded, then you as the player watch the young girl look on a herd of giraffes in awe during all the chaos? There is nothing like that in Part two.

    I will freely admit, I did not play this game. Instead I did the current year thing and watched streams of it. Some with commentary, some without, but I saw enough of the game. After watching, I knew that this game is just not worth buying, and there is nothing redeemable about it.

    So let’s get the very little pros out of the way:

    Graphics look amazing. But this should be a given for a major studio with a triple A game at the end cycle of the ps4. So this doesn’t actually save the game.

    The sound is amazing. Nothing more to say on it.

    The acting is great. Some of the people behind the faces playing the characters are some of the best and recognizable people in voice acting.

    Now for the neutral:

    Gameplay is meh. The action is pretty much the same as the first game. Very little was added to.

    Now for the cons:

    Gameplay is dumbed down. Beyond the action, TLOU p2 is a puzzler game. You make your way through the area to get from point a to point b. And it looks like the developers decided to make it so simple to solve how that there’s no challenge or thought needed.

    Character.....
    So many decisions the characters from the previous game go and make go against what the characters would have done in the first. Joel and Tommy would not have revealed who they were and where they lived to a large group of strangers.
    The new characters fall into two camps: totally forgettable or totally unlikable. Ellie’s friends are just there, but don’t contribute to the story. You won’t care about what happens to them because you are never given a reason to bond with them. Abby is the only character the developers try to force you to empathize with, but she is just bad. She just killed the reason why people liked the first game, then your forced to “understand” her justification?

    Story..............
    Tales of revenge can be fun to go through if done correctly. We can see the conflict within the character seeking revenge and the resolve they have to build to finally go through with it or turn away. TLOUp2 doesn’t have this at all. You can’t plow you way through an army of nameless people brutality killing them, then shrug your shoulders at the end before killing the big bad.

    No multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mood in the first game was great and you could easily find yourself putting more hours in there then the single player. But there is none in the sequel and really there is no reason why there isn’t.

    The developers claim that the game was about hate. They even went on record and saying they weren’t going to use the word “Fun” in their game. But playing a video game needs to fulfill another word. That word is enjoyable. TLOUp2 is not enjoyable. There is nothing but bleakness and violence for the sake of bleakness and violence. I found absolutely no reason to spend money on this, which is hugely disappointing because I was really looking forward to it when it was first revealed. And I for one am sick of criticism being dismissed with accusations of homophobia and sexism or being accused as being a bit.

    The last of us part two will be right up there with the likes of The Last Jedi and Game of Thrones season 8.    … Expand

    1/10 from me, Great graphics do not make a great game. Some of my all time best games had awful graphics but you could fill in the blanks. This is what I'd call a TURD GAME, it's like a shiny box looks and feels great but it's a box with no purpose. 3hrs done and dusted, uninstalled absolutely no desire to replay. Critics did we play the same game?

The deaths feel subtle and hold no weight. The game expects you to sympathize and literally play half of the game with the killer of everyone's favorite protagonist in the story, Joel. Joel's murderer Abby had the potential to be another great character but instead of making the character a badass iconic villain that would propel this game to the next level it decides to stick with it's stupid forced agenda and make the character boring, one dimensional, and gives you not one reason to give a damn about her (but they still expect you to play half the game with her). The ending leaves you feeling hollow and made pretty much everything you have been doing all game pointless. I would stray away from this game if you want to play a game for actual enjoyment because this game will leave you confused, frusturtated, and utterly bored.… Expand

The way they killed Joel off was extremely idiotic and never would have happened in TLoU part 1. The story just seemed to be one big pandering session for the LGBT community. It's not bad to have SOME Inclusion but it seemed that the whole game was only made FOR THEM while disregarding everything that happened to the last game.

    The gameplay doesn't look to be any improved from the last one, which is rather sad.

    Not only that but at the last battle, it simply leaves a sour taste and a slap to every fan of the first part. Ellie, who cut through and killed hundreds to get to Abby, Joel's killer, Decides on the last moment; when she could kill Abby right then and there, drowning her, to grow a conscience and lets the KILLER OF HER ADOPTIVE FATHER LEAVE. While Abby had some knife slashes to her, Ellie got two WHOLE fingers BIT off. But no, it's a game clearly worth of a near perfect score right?

It is more than clear that Neil Druckmann and his creative team truly managed to convey some important aspects of our society in a way that nobody expected, but should be greatful for. To be more exact, here is an example - the players received an idea of what having to deal with SJW feels like. I mean, I took an inportant lesson, which I would have rather learnt the hard way - muscular transgenders are already among us, waiting to bash some faces off with a golf stick, so be aware and try to avoid them. Also, graphics look immaculate. To summarize it all, I am thankful for the long-waited end of the series, for the inflicted pain, which quite frankly was bad pain and, of course, for traumatising me and the other players with the wonderful "realism" of a social extremist's mindset. Can not believe that studio like Naughty Dog has fallen slave to such meager standards and debaucherous dreams of a social activists' agenda arse-licking leader.… Expand
