    Let me ask you one thing, why was The Last Of Us special? Its graphics were tremendous but quickly surpassed by next-gen games, and the gameplay wasn't something groundbreaking.

    The biggest reason was the story. A dad loses his daughter, loses hope for years, until he gets a straight forward mission to help an innocent girl. Both of them embark on an adventure and explore the world    Let me ask you one thing, why was The Last Of Us special? Its graphics were tremendous but quickly surpassed by next-gen games, and the gameplay wasn't something groundbreaking.

    The biggest reason was the story.

    A dad loses his daughter, loses hope for years, until he gets a straight forward mission to help an innocent girl. Both of them embark on an adventure and explore the world at the same time as the audience/gamers. Eventually, both of them became emotional towards each other. At this point, the audience/gamers see them as a father and a daughter. When the time comes for the finale, the man is put in a similar situation to the beginning, where he is about to lose the girl like he lost his daughter, but this time he couldn't let that happen again. So he helps her—cycle complete.

    With The Last of Us Part II, the story has taken a backseat, without a spoiler it is all about revenge. And it is not even a good revenge story. So all the game is left with is Good graphics and decent gameplay. Both of which are not enough to play through the kind of damage you'll receive for loving the characters in the first game. Moreover, if you're a forgiving type of person this game will force you to do things you didn't want to do.    … Expand

Со смертью лучшего персонажа умерла и игра, Элли не смогла заменить протагониста первой части, а путешествия и вся лгбт-нудятина с подружкой и их неинтересными "отношениями" ни в какой счет не идет с путешествием и реально развитием отношений старика и девочки в стиле дорожного приключения. Первая часть основывалась на взаимоотношении двух разных персонажей, они находили общий язык, поддерживали друг друга, что вторая часть просто взяла и растоптала. Вы хотели сделать хорошую игру?     The Last of Us Part II is the perfect combination of horrible writing with a fat budget turned to turd. I find the characters very odious, I think they are purposely written to push an agenda. Don't waste your money on this game. buy it when it's on a $5 sale and see for yourself the masterfully crafted garbage that is The Last of Us 2.

I just finished the game and I'm heartbroken. Joel and Ellie's optimism from the 1st game were thrown away and you FORCED me to play as the worst character in game history, WHY would you think anyone would chose to play as the person that killed a beloved protagonist?!?! It's very obvious that the new developers over at Naughty Dog cared more about their own agenda than giving the fans what they love.     ND succeeded making their game look good but they forgot to put a soul in it. Sad to see a good franchise ruined like that i hope they will "wake up" and return to their awesome storytelling in their next title. I gave a 1 rating just for the release with minimum bugs/glitches.

    This game is a slow-moving car crash. WOW! How can such a reputable company miss the mark so poorly and completely dump on Joel/Ellie? If you loved what the first game represented, there's a huge chance you'll despise this game. Naughty Dog takes the things you loved about this game and just destroys the bonds between the two main characters to push a SJW agenda.

    I can't believe the writing and motivation are so weak. WHYYYYYYYYY!!!! This is so bad I can't even begin to share my disgust. I have deleted the game and I will be looking for a refund or a credit.

    7 years, I waited for this dumpster fire of a game. The story is complete nonsense, filled with plot holes and choices that certain chagracters would’ve never made. And for being a story about revenge, it doesn’t even manage to reach a satisfying ending. Complete garbage front to back.

    The graphic was fantastic, superb gameplay, great characters especially Abby. She's a great bodybuilder.
    Outstanding story, i really like that in the end they took everything from Ellie. She's a horrible character anyway. She deserved it. I hate joel too, i wish he had suffered more. And that sex scene was soooo disgus... i mean sooo romantic.
    i'm really happy that Abby survived without any punishment, i hope she will be the only main character in part 3. She's the greatest character Naughty Dog ever created.    … Expand

    Abby is the most generic bad guy there is it’s as if I’m watching an episode of the walking dead.     It's very sad how the creators destroyed the game in the name of propagating ideas, beliefs. This game is a reversal of the climate of Part 1. History makes no sense. The post-apocalyptic world, humanity on the border is destroying, and the main character happily murders her prophetic sexual revival. The mechanics and graphics alone in this game are not enough - it's not car racing.
    Really sad.

This is basically an attempt, from game director Neil Druckmann, to push gender politics, disguised as an empty but good-looking shell of a video game, down our throats.     First of all the gameplay is the same as the previous game. It is repetitive and boring. The story is absolute trash . I don't know who thought that this would be a good idea. This is just making a shocking content just to make shocking content. The Visuals are great but after a while you see the same and the same. This is not a game that you will want to replay after beating it.

    Critics would have you believe this is Empire, but it is highlander 2. Did you like the first game? then skip this...'game'. This will be a 'shame they never made a second one' joke by the end of the year. Pretty much a walking sim with slightly less agency. if you are looking for a depressing movie though, this might do it for you.

The story which that should continue one of the most compelling stories in gaming that is the original last of us is completely butchered. Where to even start. The death of Joel. What a joke. One of the best protagonist of a game in the last decade and they killed him with a golf club in an ambush which he should, could and would have seen if it isn't for the **** writing from Neil Druckmann and his team. The ending. The **** ending. Why. Just why didnt ellie kill abby. Wtf. Not to mention the sideplots and the stupidity of them. I was really looking forward to this game and naughty dog has long been one of my favourite game companies......I have bought every single game they released and loved it......and now I know I cannot trust them with my money.......it feels like the developers are laughing at the fans and that's never a good feeling....
    imagine if Nathan Drake was killed at the very beginning of Uncharted 4....and then for the rest of the game you play as the the Serbian guy from Uncharted 2, as the story writers do their best to try and get you to to empathise with the boot they put on joels neck......I don't think I will ever play another naughty dog game if this is their new formula for success.....truly disgusting....and what's sad is you know they only did it because Last Of Us had so many female fans......Naughty Dog thinks this is what women want, Naughty dog is dead    … Expand

    The film grain makes the whole game look like a PS3 game. Within the first 10 minutes Ellie calls someone a bigot twice. The animations are worse than the first entry. I dont even know what the hell I just experienced story wise besides extreme cringe.. I hope ghost of tsushima isn't this garbage.

    Strong on a technical level I suppose (if you ignore some cringeworthy dialogue here and there), but what made us love the original game so much was the characters and their heartfelt interactions.

    The story was horrific even though the gameplay was barely decent.
    I remember others complaining RDR2 in 2018 was behind the times. I wonder what those people think about TLOU2.
    but the graphics were wonderful and it has great gamplay

This feels like a complete disregard and disconnection between Naughty Dog and the fans of the game, they tried to go for a different approach and it didn't work out at all. Every new character feels forced, and pretty much every old character is dead anyway. I really loved the first game, I can't see how this one managed to be this bad im comparison. In short, the story was so bad it hurts, the gameplay is ok-ish and the graphics were the only actual straight up good thing about this game.… Expand

    I can't believe this game is in the same franchise as the first one, the gameplay is outdated, has a lot of exposition scenes trying too hard instead of happening naturally like the first one, and the characters are just simply unlikeable. TLOU rose above because of the story, but they just dropped the ball here.

    I am really sorry for the team that made the graphics and the environment. The level design is amazing but the story everybody waited for is ruined. GG Neil Druckmann you ruined everything...
    Don't buy it, look at it at youtube and if you like it buy it second hand or on Christmas.

    This game gets one star for good graphics, the rest of it, nothing. I have never wanted my money back from any game I have bought but for this one i do. The story, the agenda, everything about it is a joke. If you are going to butcher a game series just make a new one and stop destroying good IPs. Worse then Disney Star Wars.
