    Don't believe the critic reviews. Bought and paid for or too scared to go against Sony. Golfing plotline aside, the combat is updated but everything is sub par when compared to the first one. Save your money.

    The story is trash, the character development is really bad, the gameplay is boring. Everything about it is trash except for the visuals. The rest is garbage. Naughty Dog ruined the The Last of Us.

    The graphics are really good and detailed, the gameplay isn't that groundbreaking, the story absolutely sucks, lacks charm, the new character has both a boring personality and background. While this kind of story may be something new in the videogame world, it's not when you compare it with movies or books.

    The game dissapointed me fast. At first it all looks good and familiar but the story turns fast into a blur of unrealistic plotholes. There is a big lack of connecting with the characters and the gameplay is a little outdated, same goes for the poor AI.     The Last of Us 1 was awesome, The last of US 2 is a dumpster fire stay away unless you love bad stories, shoehorning the player to play certain charters in a certain way.

    It's bad and there is no way around it, you will regret it and wish you never bought it. I did!

    Wow where to start. If the first game never happened I may of rated this better. But the lack of player choice in this game is overwhelming. They will make you play the game the way they want and you have no say in it at all. It’s more like playing through a teenage soap opera. So disappointing.

BUT the story is pathetic how you can kill one of the most important character in just two hours after starting the game and apart from the way he dies, it is not even organically there were too many ways to write his death but they went for the most foolish and irrational, literally sent to trash everything they created in the first game.     The last jedi of games :/ the expectations they set from the trailer was so misleading. It's disingenuous to blame the backlash on bigots and haters when they did the last jedi of games. The reviewers slanting the scores to he'll and back did this game no favors.

The gameplay is pretty much the same as the first one. the enemy IA is ok the compagnon is dumb tho. the story is horrible and make no sens at all.     I have no problem with the gameplay of TLOU 2 being largely unchanged from the first game, I felt like it served it's purpose in the original to help propel the story and the narrative and get the player from point to point. They clearly had no plans for this game until Sony dumped the money truck on the studio and said make another. Characters from the original game make decisions that they would never make based on everything we know about them and the game has more holes in the plot than a golf course.

    You don't owe Sony or Naughty Dog any of your money or your time just because you liked the first game (I loved it). Save your money. Send a message. Don't be a sheep to a corporation. We all should have known we were in trouble when the studio director tweeted out that The Last Jedi was an amazing movie.    … Expand

    Graphical department in all regards level design and sound. Superb. 10 out of 10.

    It's even confirmed by nathan drake s ring found in a vault in seattle that occur in the same universe both tlou and uncharted. But only in tlou counts. But gotta tell u ND nathan drake is a mass murdered who left thousands of daughters and sons without their fathers. Why not make a game where all those neca hunt drake to the grave?

    No... you just gotta do it for tlou. Ok fine. Then if all npcs matter now, why are you repeating same models for npcs throughout tlou2?
    Why? Coz if all kills count all of them should SHOULD be different NPCS and more now with the level of graphics and realism you're applying to this game. That disconnected a lot from what you were trying to say. So it's bad to kill in tlou world because it has consequiences but what about same model npcs that repeat themselves all across the board. And now you use that excuse that for more fun because that's part of the fun in ND games Joel killed an entire hospital full of nocs and that justifies being disrespectful toward a character just for the sake of taking this world too real???

And although gameplay is fun, character shows nothing of remorse. For her to imitate joel killing lots of npcs is ok? And what about that? Is she adding awful karma so people will come after her?

    Is this a game of revenge or was it about the pandemic and survival?

    And then at the end ellie never gets hers.
    Not only she is denied of that. But in a burst of rage she is about to kill Abby and she even bites off 2 fingers and in that burst of anger she stops? No one in the real world would...

    Maybe jesus or ghandi or mandela... But never a video game character to which the game wasn't aiming towars forgiveness ever.

    Hey ND I tell u at least u could ve corrected that mistake by ellie not saving abby but not killing either. Knowing she was meeting her end hanged... and that could ve fixed at least the intention. Seeing that not always revenge gets u your goal, but violent people can .eet their end by their own karma and actions.

    I dream of seeing a scene where ellie says to hanged abby: i came to kill u but u are already dead / i won't kill u but i won't save u either u are dead

    And then to put the final nail in the coffin ellie gets severed of her last connection to joel. The guitar. She loses all. Then I wonder


    Joel denied her being mankind s savior but ND denies her the life that Joel gave her once. Because she now has nothing. No joel. No connection. No couple. No famikiy.

    So ellie is more than broken now. Did she deserved that fate as a character? What did she do?

    Are you punishing her ? For what ND? Come on.

    And I didn't even mentioned agendas of stupid sexuality things.
    That is beyond stupid to low a score based on that.

    I just feel betrayed as a fan in this matter.

    You could ve done better by still being grittier and rral.
    But no. For me it's a fail. This game is really no masterpiece. Misery is what u get and really ND don't even think of getting a 3rd part out. U killed ellie . No excuses. That is what killing a character does to fans. Betrayal of icons.

    So for a linear story driven game all I got was something that missed the mark. Giving misery to beloved things just is not the way to go.

    If I could I d erase what I witnessed. But we'll. It was so big my disappointment that I had to come here to publish my personal rate on this game.

    Graphics are good, but that does not make a game great. Am not sure why they took the story in this direction, but what a complete let down. Seriously this company screwed this up. Am giving it +1 to the score for the graphics. Skip this game.

    Total POS compared to its predecessor. I don't care about sexual orientation of characters, I care about good and consistent story, about the experience. Although visually near perfect, story - wise, it's not worth to play even if you get it for free.

Half the reason for why this got good “critic” reviews (and I use that word lightly) is because of the triple A production value, the same thing that makes it so that steaming piles of **** still get good reviews. Also it’s incredibly ironic how Far Cry 5 did Christian villains better

The worst part was the story which lacks meaning and depth. the whole revenge plot is badly executed. By making Ellie the main protagonist was a bad move in my opinion.     But let me do some revenge to the 100/100 masterpiece of the year first, this is one of the biggest joke in 3A game industry ever made. It maybe should have 4~8/10 for actuar score but for now i don't care about it.

    Can't believe there is only a few of the "pro" reviewers have their own will to telling us, the players, the costumers that "this game is not perfect, and might be worse then prequel". I know it is hard to write bad thing when you need to rely them for a job. But before all of that, you are media, not some trained dogs of the companys, and almost all of you are losing credit from us.     El primer TLOU ya estaba muy sobrevalorado, era sobresaliente en lo realista y bien construidos que estaban los personajes de la trama y en la banda sonora, además de un buen apartado visual, pero nada mas, a nivel jugable era mediocre, un juego simple, lineal, lleno de scripts, videos y muchos momentos de "walking simulator", nada en lo que destacara, mas bien    Es una BASURA. 1/10.

    El primer TLOU ya estaba muy sobrevalorado, era sobresaliente en lo realista y bien construidos que estaban los personajes de la trama y en la banda sonora, además de un buen apartado visual, pero nada mas, a nivel jugable era mediocre, un juego simple, lineal, lleno de scripts, videos y muchos momentos de "walking simulator", nada en lo que destacara, mas bien lo contrario con cosas vergonzosas como la regeneración de botellas y ladrillos, además de contar con una historia genérica (que hacen interesante esos personajes que fueron los mejores hechos en un juego) por eso le di en su momento un 6/10. Pues bien, este TLOU2 es lo mismo, no mejora las taras de TLOU pero además destruye cosas buenas del original. Lo de menos ya es que este juego se haya usado para lavar cerebros insertando basura ideológica, es que es un mal juego con o sin esa basura; TLOU no necesitaba secuela y de seguir con los mismos personajes se veía venir de lejos el desastre. La incoherencia la tienen los que sobrevaloraron al primer TLOU, que no era tan bueno, ese era mediocre y esta innecesaria secuela es peor, de suspenso. ¡Siete años de desarrollo para esto! vergonzoso, los juegos AAA no tienen futuro, si este tipo de basuras requieren tanto tiempo y presupuesto, esto no es viable y es un disparate; obras maestras se han hecho en 12 meses, 7 años esta basura, lo dice todo de la decadencia de los AAA.

    PD: Anda que no tienen JETA los individuos y los medios digitales que descalifican a estos analisis de usuarios hablando de "review bombing" ¿y que adjetivos le ponemos a la casi unanimidad y a todos los 10 gratuitos de la prensa? esto no les molesta por lo que parece, SON UNOS CINICOS. El tiempo demostrará que esto no es solo un "review bombing" por motivos ideológicos o similares, este juego no se va a recuperar porque es malo objetivamente, y nunca ningún otro exclusivo de ninguna compañía ha recibido esta dureza. I really did, but it's such a convoluted story and a complete betrayal of everything established in the first game that it's just a depression and disappointing experience. The graphics are top notch, but the story and characters are so terrible that it's not enough to redeem this game.

    The gameplay is really good but the story is soo weak.... and you know what nobody liked the first game becouse its gameplay we loved it becouse the story all the intresting characters and revelations.. well nothing of this is present in the second game it was soo bad that i needed whole year to finaly finish it and sadly i cant refund this BS!

    Look, I wouldn´t mind if Ellie turned up to be L, really I wouldn´t be concerned at all, but all characters of the game have any type of deviation. This game is the "Brokeback Mountain". An ok-movie that won oscars and lot of other awards because had gay content. A boring movie, that pro LGBT critics called "Brave" and gave the movie awards that didn´t deserve.

    The game was waiting for seven long years! The game turned out to be bad, to put it mildly, it is not a game, rather a political order (which could have been done better), everything is very hypertrophied, not serious! The start of the game is just disgusting, the finale is just awful! I just don’t believe that everything could turn out so bad, god ... just a pity for the money for this garbage.

    This game is a big disappointment to the first one (which was a masterpiece). It's like the ruined the legacy. So many plot holes. Crappy A.I . Story was not interesting at all. It took 7 years just for them to give us a big disappointment.

    Very weak story with characters you won’t care about. The game tries to shock the players but even fails in that. Side mission are an effort to strech the playtime and are totally useless. The plot is very weak and leaves you with a feeling that you really waisted you time.
    Gameplay wise it pretty much the same mechanics as the previous game and are clunky and outdated.

One things for sure, we have seen this movie 100 times now. Once you reach a certain age, you loose ambition for talking points and you hunger for pure new art. This doesn't qualify

The story's not very good to say the least, the characters suck, and I spent half of the game wishing I could play as literally any other character and just wishing it were over. The fun action parts are short lived, and few and far between.
    The 1st game was story and gameplay 1st, then some the Dev's personal beliefs were shoehorned in as an afterthought, much more subtly, and not compromising the legitimacy of the overall game. With this one ideology came 1st and they shoehorned in a few good game elements to tie it all together. This is nothing more than an ideological memoir in the form of a game, and it's so heavy handed about it that it just seems desperate, and maybe even a bit spiteful to fans of the original, and I get the idea that "if u don't like it then your the problem" was on their mind a lot as they made this game. This is mostly a soundboard for NaughtyDog's personal ideology with some good game elements sprinkled in as an afterthought.
    I don't really care who, or what, u are but as character that I'm playing in a game I need to be able to relate with the character, or at least sympathize with them. I don't think I'm alone with this either. Given the majority of gamers are guys I don't think most players will be able to relate to these characters. Who is the target audience of this game then??? Objectively I understand the characters and their motivations, but Subjectively I can't relate to them and I just don't care about most of them and worse yet I don't like most them, despite their best efforts. I just wanted it to end but I kept playing hoping they could somehow still make the story satisfying by the end, but nope... And a good game isn't one that u wish would just end. They jumped the shark so bad Henry Winkle would be jealous.
    I give it a 1/10 because it's leaching off of something great but really doesn't offer anything by itself, other than ideological subversion, and the bones of a great game with great potential that they put a lot of effort into undermining. Most of the good gameplay elements were in the 1st game so I'm not impressed. Bigger levels just make the a terrible story last longer and since there are so few NPC fights your time's mostly spent looking for items. Great graphics and motion capture won't make an ugly duck into a swan, if anything it just gives u a hi res image of how ugly it really is compared to what it could've been. I really wanted to like it but this game is actually pretty terrible imo. If u want to play a good game play the 1st one, I'm gonna replay it just to get the bad taste of this hot garbage out of my mouth.    … Expand

    The original game was a lot better story wise. TLOU2 looks good and plays good but the story is horrendous and failed to keep me interested. Ghost of Tsushima was a much better game with a great story plus it outsold TLOU2 by 50%.

    The game is spectacular in its mechanics and in the narration of the story, but it is unnecessary to include political issues such as the LGBT community in a game. Without them, the game would be top notch. Just look at the example of The Witcher, Mario Odissey, Zelda, Uncharted, and several more. Hopefully Naughty Dog reconsiders.

    It doesn't surprise me that its sales are imploding (over 85% drop from week 1 to week 2). Did they fire the original writer for the first game?

Yes Joel was done dirty, but I could accept that is possible for him to die. However I didn't like that you had to play as Abby as I felt she was been force in to make her likeable. I'm sure some people liked her but I didn't. Then after all the killing that Ellie does I'm not given the choice to end Abby instead she is allowed to get away. Yes they are trying to show closure by saying revenge is bad, but I feel they should have given players the choice of killing Abby or not.… Expand

First off Joel dying was infuriating but I could look past it if they did something astonishing with the story however its truly the worst revenge story in the world. Elli never actually gets her revenge. I truly was hoping this would be as amazing of a game as the first was, but all I received was at best a super disappointing fan fiction from some one who could not write… Expand
