    the previous was game was a much better more atmospheric and more relatable than this title.
    felt morally sanctimonious , killed of one of the more interesting characters in gaming and switched it to someone bland and rustic
    I'm very disappointed with naughty dog .

    Gameplay was decently fun. Story was hot steamy garbage. I will not be playing through this game again and usually I replay games over twice. The characters seem to be driven by whatever the plot needs at the time. Weak 2/10

    Literalmente, todos os aspectos do jogo são bons, exceto o enredo. O que é como 60% do jogo. Então, por que estou dando 0, você pode perguntar. A resposta é muito simples, e não se refere apenas ao enredo no nível do solo e como ele está terrivelmente encaixado no jogo cronologicamente falando, mas até mesmo todas as ações terríveis que a Naughty Dog e a Sony fizeram quando o vazamento foiLiteralmente, todos os aspectos do jogo são bons, exceto o enredo.     REVIEW EM PORTUGUÊS:

    Uma das maiores decepções no mundo dos jogos.

    O começo é totalmente sem sentido e tedioso, tendo em mãos que você anda mais que joga, a introdução da história é totalmente desconexa com o primeiro jogo, quando se trata da morte do Joel, já que no primeiro jogo ele é um paranoico que não confia em ninguém e no segundo ele já entrega o nome dele para uma desconhecida, e acaba morto por isso.
    A parte em que a Ellie e a Dina juntam para fumar maconha na hora da patrulha (isso mesmo, chaparam na hora da patrulha) é outra parte que não faz o menor sentido, visto que elas tinham uma tarefa no momento.

    A gameplay do jogo é muito "cinemática", quando você faz um ataque corpo a corpo contra um inimigo, você pode estar a metros dele, mesmo assim tem uma força gravitacional que te puxa para o inimigo para que você continue o ataque.
    O jogo é de exploração, mas parece que ele não quer que você explore, toda vez que você "demora" muito para explorar certa área, e o jogo coloca um botão de dica na tela, fazendo o jogador de trouxa.
    Também tem um uso excessivo de quick time events, por exemplo: tem certas partes em que você precisa abrir uma porta, mas está emperrada, então você precisa apertar quadrado duas vezes para abri-la, e isso o jogo INTEIRO.

    A história não é das melhores mas também não é tão ruim, só acho que eles deram um foco muito grande na relação da Dina com a Ellie que pareceu algo forçado para chamar atenção de um certo público. A Dina é uma personagem com um carisma forçado, e muito chata, não para de falar por um minuto sequer.
    Quando você chega em certo ponto do jogo, você joga quase que toda a campanha novamente só que com a Abby, a antagonista, o jogo tenta fazer o jogador entender o ponto de vista da Abby mas só mostra que ela é uma brutamonte psicopata que não tem remorso nem de matar o próprio povo.
    Quando você termina de jogar a parte da Abby, o jogo já está quase no final, mas você não tem aquele sentimento de que está acabando, e quando sobem os créditos você fica com uma impressão de "é só isso?".

    Meus únicos pontos positivos sobre o jogo são o gore, que é sensacional e visceral, a direção de arte, que é uma das melhores que eu já vi em um jogo, aquela parte da fazenda é linda, e por fim, os gráficos que são muito bons, e não confundam o ingame com as CGs, já que o jogo transita muito bem quando precisa.

    Em conclusão, não é um bom jogo, você consegue se divertir em algumas partes mas a maior parte do jogo é extremamente chata e tediosa.

    ENGLISH REVIEW:

    One of my biggest disappointments about gaming.

    The begging is extremely boring, too much walking and awful dialogues and nonsense events (like Joel's death and Ellie smoking weed while she had important things to do at that moment, like wtf she was thinking??).

    The gameplay is too "fake", when you attack a enemy it seems that there is this gravitational force that pulls you to the enemy so you can kill him. The game is about exploring but it seems that it doesn't want you to explore it, because every time you take too long exploring, the game gives you a tip button, and this is so ridiculous, making the player an idiot.
    There is also this overuse of quick time events, for example: there are many times in the game where you are opening a door but the door is stuck, so you need to press the square button two times, and it happens through the whole game, it's so annoying.

    The story isn't that bad but is not also good, Dina is one of the most annoying and terrible character I've ever seen in a videogame, she doesn't stops talking for a single minute during the walkthroug, and the game is always focusing in Ellie and Dina's relationship when it isn't something that important to the story, it gave me the impression of trying to call certain people attention.

    When you get in certain point of the game, you have to play it all again but with Abby, that is the game's antagonist. They try to make you understand Abby's point of view but they just show you that Abby is just a freak psychopath that doesn't even cares about killing her own people.
    When you finish to play the whole Abby's part, the game is near to the end, but the game doesn't even cares about showing the player that you are almost in the end, you don't have that feeling of finishing a game.

    My only positive points to this work is the gore, that is just amazing, the graphics that are great and the art direction that is one of the best i have ever seen in gaming industry.

    In conclusion, is not a good game, there are some fun parts, but the biggest part of the game is extremely boring.

    Decent gameplay mechanics, but the story sucked so much that i was really disinterested for long parts of the game hoping it would somehow improve, which i doesn't. Really disappointed that i gave the game a shot despite the negative reviews.

    In any way. Gameplay was ok.It feels like a bad loss of time.In this post apocalyptic world suddenly sexuality is very important.They wanted me to play as abby.I tried to kill her like 1000 times.And tell me which stroid she takes.

Did Naughty Dog seriously think they could get you to sympathise with and like someone that killed one of the most beloved characters in video game history. What a bunch of donkeys.     To be honest, I think the programmer in the Naughty dog is perfect, they try a lot to achieve a lot of new techniques. However, the narrative of this game is terrible, that waste all other people's effort in Naughty dogs. I think Neil Druckmann and his story is a joke. Yet I feel like I’ve been slapped in the face, they brutalized Joel, (a beloved character) by this hulk psychopath (female?) character, who they then force you to control all the while trying to develop this connection, when in fact you just hate it everything about “Abby” screams die in a fire yet, they make you keep on truckin’. Then the SJW crap my god.... it’s sooooo woke. WAKE up people, it’s set approximately 30 years after the zombie apocalypse, 13 year old kids ( who by the way grows up in an antiquated tribe like environment), will not have the “decadent luxury” of deciding they’re going to choose their gender... they’ll be a little preoccupied with, you know not dying... oh and they also won’t have the fantastic media we have today to push narratives on troubled or mentally ill youth. All that being said the gameplay and most of the other factors of the actual VIDEO GAME work great, play it on mute and for gods sake skip the cutscenes. Shame first game way almost completely story driven this one just makes me angry.… Expand

After an unnecessary forced, looooong, repetitive and no sense story/gameplay I wished many times to end but no, there was always more...

    Graphics are outstanding.

    Music is good, but it is not as highlighted as it was in the first game so, it loses power. Gameplay is repetitive

    Story is so forced, it was a cool idea but not so well developed IMO.

    I don't feel like I was playing a game created by the same team. At the end when the game asked me if I wanted to play again, I was like, I don't think so. (I played the first TLOU like 6 times)    … Expand

    Joel dying for such a silly and futile reason made death serve only to have a reason for the game to start but that was very pathetic coming from Joel who is a guy who detonates an entire army

    Basically Joel's death was very forced and in the end the other deaths are just boring and boring

    This game does not reach the feet of the old and unfortunately the script resources available to the creators were very badly used

Last of us 2 had the potential to do all that but sadly Last of us 2 misses this completely. Story - told in a way to cause outrage and manipulate your feelings, why not play as abbey form start get her story and then you get involved. Because of way story works I hated playing as her from the start and rushed her story because I just wanted to kill her. Then the ending is no split decision you just walk off, the choice is taken, and the pure double standards the game message gives you- so revenge is ok if it’s done by a female on a male she can go on and have a lovely time and not be effected , but if you try revenge on that you’ll be broken and shattered makes no sense and writers should be ashamed of themselves for ruining what was one of the greatest legacies. Visually - superb probably the most beautiful game I’ve played on PS4 just a shame I hated playing every second of it due to the story.

    Gameplay- well it’s not a buggy mess like so many games out today and was good to play where I wasn’t rushing through a story about characters I didn’t care about but there was no brand new innovation. Lack of new ideas here. Conclusion - I want a refund. Like it’s predecessor it lacked new ideas and relied on its story, unlike its predecessor the story instead of making it a great game completely ruined the game. To give this game the meta score in its 90’s has me worried for the future of the gaming industry. If it didn’t have the predecessor it had it would have scored a 3/5 because it does it drops a point for **** all over it’s legacy.    … Expand

For some reason, the game wants you to like abey more than Ellie, and to top it all off they kill JOEL, yes the MAIN character from the first game is KILLED immediately. you play as him for only FIVE MINUTES. I'm disappointed in naughty dog for ruining the game for me, I loved the first game and everything that made it so good is missing from this game. They could have made a good trilogy by having abey as a friend in the start of the game and then having her turn on you and kill joel because he killed her dad. That's how the game should've went and then the third game would've been Ellie going after abey and being at war with her and her friends. Even the ending is stupid. You finally find abey and have the chance to kill her but the game won't allow you to kill her which makes the whole game pointless. If abey had killed my friends there would be no hesitation in killing her. Ellie's friends died so she can kill abey, she even left her girlfriend and own child behind to go kill abey. So she loses everything to kill abey but doesn't kill abey. So she lost everything for no reason. she gave up her own family for no reason. So you're left unsatisfied because you wanted abey to die but you can't kill her. Please do not but this game especially if you're a huge fan of the first game.… Expand

And the thing about is some part of the game are actually enjoyable but there are characters in this game that you just dont give a rat left or right butt cheek about.     Wow, it's not great... basically a mildly improved version of the first game, with a garbage storyline. Super grindy in far too many points and then you have to re-grind about mid game. This is unfortunately my last time I'll play a Last of Us game. If there is a third, I could not care less about it.

    Utter garbage. Avoid at all costs. The paid reviews for this game, much like the train-wreck that is RDR2 will have you second guessing yourself. Make no mistake, this game is as unbearably terrible as you think it is.

    After seeing this game get the GOTY award over so many other enjoyable titles, I was really looking forward to playing this especially since the first game was one of the best I have ever played. While the graphics and gameplay is good, a game like this is story driven and this story is horrible. You want people to play and have sympathy on abby right after she killed jesse? it doesnt work like that, players have been through way more with ellie and joel and you think by giving them a chance to play with abby they would totally forget what she has done? People dont even want to play abby, the more they play as her the more they get disgusted.

    El juego técnicamente es muy bueno, pero le falla la historia de forma brutal. Cuando lo acabé me pregunte si había valido la pela dedicar 22 horas por una historia así que no llevaba a ninguna parte. En muchos momentos acababa con mal cuerpo por lo deprimente que me resultaba. Si llega a ser una película, la dejo a medias.

However, I cannot even focus on the gameplay because there is an overwhelming push to MAKE SURE you know Ellie is now a lesbian. You can’t even properly mourn the death of one of the best characters we’ve seen in a game in years. Joel is killed early, which is fine because I get the strategy of killing off a beloved character, much like Ned in GOT. However, you then have to deal with lgbt-etc.-etc. propaganda shoved down your throat while just trying to enjoy a good game. I just got into Seattle and Ellie just had yet another “romantic” ordeal with her lesbian “groupie” and I’m seriously thinking about just quitting now. I absolutely do not care for their agenda that every TVs show, movie, and now game wants to try and force you to see as something that’s normal. It’s not. If it was normal it wouldn’t have to get pushed so hard into our faces every chance they get. So good job on ruining a good game. It’s disheartening because of how beloved the first was. God this game :c sense I was a child I loved the last of us great game never really got to buy it but I watched the same gameplay several times and it was the best, I was so exited when I say that part 2 coming out but... Because of this game it hurts my heart to hear the name the last of us. Now the gameplay is great really sticks to the gameplay of the first game but with new stuff plus the Amazing gráfics and world. But the thing that I loved the most was the story. And thus game ruined it. They killed one of the most beloved video games character and one of my favourites (also tortured him) and Ellie really changed a lot and I guess it's trying to show us that people change and there's nothing to do about it but killing Joel and The end with Ellie:'c I hated the story so much that at the end I am not lying u cried because I really hated it not only that if you wanna finish the game you have to play as the girl who killed Joel WHY poor Ellie this game really Opened a whole in my heart.

    Except from one scene in the beginning, where a Joel get's killed, I never once found my self really engaged in the story or really wanting to pursue it.

After 7 yrs waiting for two of the most heartfelt characters in gaming to be reunited I was buoyed my the trailers and immediately pre ordered the VIP package. The original game left me in tears numerous times it was so beautiful. Watching two broken people come to life through each other was simply magic. That mixed with incredible acting, gameplay, writing, and graphics 10/10

    What they have done with the story in the second is criminal. You not only took the heart from the game, you did it with a sneer. You make your team labor and create some of the best graphics I have ever seen in a game. Astounding work. The acting again is incredible. But having read Neil Drukman's own comments, it appears you wanted to make a statement. A woke statement.

    You killed, no tortured the main character. I love Ellie. But Ellie without Joel is a 95 woman in an apocalypse fighting well trained fighters twice her weight. Not too mention infected. Realism that was so good in the original... gone. With Joel there as a team, Ellie was believable. She had some great bow skills etc. Joel and his love for Elie and vice versa is truly what made the game edgy as well as human. And you did it, it seems to be woke. Then you advertised the game in a way that made it look like Joel would be there. You lied to the fans that pretty much worshiped you for creating such a masterpiece. For creating something beautiful.

    And of course, Most of the strong characters you fight against are woman. Supplements are big in the future I guess? Abbey is built like an mma fighter.

    Then you make the grieving player, yes most of , the fans that actually still played the game, you made us play as Joel's killer. (The only good thing is that I spent way too much time getting her killed and loving it. )

    I could go on, but the STORY is literally revenge porn. That is it. No matter how hard you try, you can not like Abbey. And the ending you give is like one of those unsatisfying videos .

    If you loved the last of us. and I absolutely did. DO NOT PLAY THIS. Forget it ever happened. Try and imagine Joel and Ellie etc living their lives out in happiness. Don't give these liars any more money.
    For the record I am just one person, but I buy around 10-15 games a year. Usually preorder. But those days are done. I will be going to Youtube reviews etc This is on naughty dogs for lying and turning an absolute diamond into a lump of woke coal .    … Expand

    Gameplay is fun, however the constant bombardment of propaganda and the attempt of mental manipulation to strengthen the believes of misinformation regarding WW2 and the Holocaust among other things, seriously overrides the fun factor. The first game is great! No propaganda in the first game, excluding the DLC.

I think it was designed so that the player is meant to have such a bad time playing this game that they simply don't finish it. It also goes on for about 10 hours too long.     "Abby is GOOD, and Ellie is BAD." You wasted 20 hours of my life trying to convince me and you know for a fact not everybody can agree on that idea. I'm rating this game a 2/10 and I know you probably don't deserve it. Now we are even.

    Bad story aside, the game itself has major flaws in terms of game design. We play Ellie for good 10 hours and then you give a new character with ZERO progress (no weapon upgrade, items, whatsoever) and we have to continue from there until almost the end of the game. The game has over 200 collectibles but disappointingly NONE of them matters to the actual gameplay. All these are bad game designs which are commonly found in games 10-15 years ago.    … Expand

    I hated Abby from the beginning, then when Naughty Dog made me play as someone I don't like, the hate simply raised so when the "revenge is bad" ending happened it really ruined this game. Warning everyone I know not to play this dissapointing game. 2 points because the gameplay is fun and graphics amazing, but without the great story in between this game is absolutely not worth playing if you have already played the first game and cares anything about the characters from that game.    … Expand

    Horrible letdown that messes up everything good about the first one. Its just an excuse of a game to promote a "woke" cultural agenda. It may have great graphics, but this game is not worth your money at all. It ruined the thrill I had for naughty dog and I won't ever be excited to buy any of their future products again.

But playing as Abby for ten hours was absolutely torturous. Simply put this game is pretty twisted cause they force you play to catch with a dog you end up killing, which to me is **** up. It was a revenge tale but the ending didn’t involve revenge. I loved the first game, and I played through it multiple times. I was gonna play through part 2 a second time, but the thought of playing as steroid chick was unbearable… Expand

    1) Hats down to Sony and the studio for making the game so polished, was a breeze of fresh air for me as I played the game in 2021.

    2) Even though the combat wasn't completely different, there were new things and few innovations that felt good. But the combat was like 1% of the game time...

    3) After I switched to Abby and stopped enjoying the story, I've started to notice that I've was playing a scavenging simulator and that people apparently leave one or two bullets in the packaging. This was extremely repetitive and annoying. Also why do I break an axe after 3 - 5 hits? Or a sledgehammer?

    4) The world was ok, but I didn't notice it too much as I was looking for supplies. Also the constant rain was interesting...

    5) I replayed the first game many times, the story was wonderful. Here I will gracefully pass. Half of the game was completely useless, I knew what happened to those people and only thing what I got from those 12+ hours was scavenging supplies.

    I am not saying that the story doesn't have a message or a lesson, but in my opinion it shouldn't be told by a game.

    Neil Druckmann mentioned that the game will not be fun and he was right. It wasn't. I still paid the full price and I understand that the developers need to eat and are actually quite talented to be fair. Just that I don't see myself playing a game directed by Neil Druckmann anymore. Again, a talented guy, that deserves his salary 100%, but we disagree on what gaming should bring to people. Fun, enjoyment, fulfilment, stress release is much more preferred than hating myself for not stopping half way through...

    6) The enormous amount of close calls, scripted events, out of the world lucky situations for the main characters and those toy knives with 0 damage were also very annoying. The game was supposed to be played by adults, come on, do not insult our intelligence... If you want to lecture somebody, at least head out to donate blood and see what happens when you loose 450ml and act irresponsibly thereafter.

    7) I wasn't even able to max my stats or guns, also the time in combat where I could actually use them was extremely limited. I can try other guns or skills in a new game+ but I don't want to go through the story again, not to mention the constant scavenging.

    Based on the points above, I cannot rate the game high. A scavenging simulator with linear progress where I was punished for playing it. It felt more like an experiment.    … Expand

Halfway through, you will be forced to play as an irredeemable psychopath for 10+ hours and then the game will basically just end without any satisfaction. Abby is irredeemable and unlivable no matter how you look at it. Just watch a play through. Don’t support Neil or TLOU franchise past the first game. It’s really as bad as everyone says and it has nothing at all to do with the sexuality or gender of the characters. Don’t support this title, please.     Joel becomes a bumbling idiot that easily trusts and gives his real name to absolute strangers. Remember the cannibal incident where Ellie was kidnapped because they were looking for Joel? Remember how Joel rescues Ellie from the fireflies and they are probably looking for him to avenge Marlene? Because the game or Joel sure don't, after all, if Joel doesn't let his guard down and magically lose all his weapons the game can't abide by **** fantasies and kill him off only 2 hours into the game.

    Ellie's depiction in this game is so sad I honestly believe Neil personally hates her. Not only does she have to watch her surrogate father die in front of her, witness Tommy loses his eye, and is abandoned by her girlfriend who also takes everything they had in their house. If that wasn't enough she loses 2 of her fingers rendering her unable to play the guitar and doesn't get revenge on Abby who caused everything.    … Expand

    Drawn out, creatively lazy and a huge middlefinger to the fans. Game is pretty but full of plotholes and contradictions. Easily the worst sequel to a great game. No real story/character development to speak of. Don't let the bought reviews fool you. Nobody liked this and and its naughty dogs only misstep. Avoid at all costs!

    This Game doesn't work as a sequel.
    Characters are basically the opposite then what there were in the first game(for what ever reason)and the new characters are uninteresting

Most people critic the story of the game, only saved by the gamplay, but even the gameplay is culprit, since in most of the game your gameplay depends in the story, so you are forced to do and see cruel things that you dont agree with and somehow we are still supposed to be on the side of this evil chataracter.

    At least all this build up should end with Abby getting her comeuppance, which would be a new take in story telling, showing and making you do evil things, essentially making you hate the character to justify her comeuppance in the end, but it isnt the case, even after all that you are left with a hole in your heart, because even by instinct you think Abby is getting whats comming to her, but ends up getting scott free with half thought out excuses, which contradict their character, effectively contradicting themselves on their most basic morals.

    Lastly, shame on all the "game critics" writing biased reviews, unwilling to openly critique any big game, you all should reconsider your job if you are easily influenced by money of a big company, unwilling to voice your and the opinion of the people, its like rewriting history and is prospect for users to never take the critic score to heart, since it is easily swayed by money, and we should listen more to user scores, where they come from our hearts and actual experiences, because we care.    … Expand

    I played the game without seeing the leaks i was excited because i love the last of us part 1 and the remastered game and left behind
    But here....the story is very shallow i tried my best to focus on the story to understand the characters and the story but in the end it's just bad writing
    The new characters are .....well couldn't feel a **** about them i enjoyed manny death and nora death..i couldn't feel anything for dina she was just talking about herself over and over and the teen drama pregnant thing
    While the part 1 characters were changed so **** much
    It was so bad like joel tommy and ellie acting so out of character
    Anyway. Anything you make is supposed to be enjoyable
    Like the 300 movie . It's not historically accurate but it's fun to watch
    Even when you're trying to make a depressing story it's not hard to make it enjoyable
    1 good point for the graphics

But as a sequel of LEGENDARY p1 this is a complete **** Ruined plot, ruined characters. If you, writers, think that the entire game-community and fans of p1 are the gays from Twitter, you are wrong. The majority of that "people" who yelling about gay tolerance and feminism wouldn't even play this game. But who would, they DIDN'T WANTED AND EXPECTED that **** that you've done. We wanted continuation of the story about Joel and Ellie with her immunity, not the story about gay Ellie and Dina, fighting with group because of male-looking "woman", who killed Joel, and her trans-friend Lily who has problems with accepting her gender. I (and about the whole community) refuse to take this as the part 2 of The Last of Us. This is fantasies of a sick person, thrown on the legacy of p1.… Expand

    Just played it, 30 mins in and just got bored, slow paced revenge game , what happend to the zombie apocalypse and the saving of mankind, it just turned into a sJ political agenda pushing game. Sand to see one of the best and my personal beloved franchise ruined. My only pro in this game is the ambience , Other than that I just pretend it didn't happen,.

    But hey as long as the cash    Just played it, 30 mins in and just got bored, slow paced revenge game , what happend to the zombie apocalypse and the saving of mankind, it just turned into a sJ political agenda pushing game. Relationship that the directors of naughty dog ​​took to destroy by building a profile of Ellie not at all grateful for everything Joel did, even more so, without taking into account the tragic death in his arms of his daughter Susan to cite just one example.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
