    Decent Game play, gives some tweeks from the style of the first game

    Good graphics, good gameplay but boring after the first 12 hours , bad story , bad character development and such a bad dialogue between the characters. I just wasted 25 hours of my life in this **** but i learned a lesson :
    I WILL NEVER PLAY ANYTHING WAS DIRECTED BY NEIL DRUCKMAN NEVER AGAIN

No tiene relación el modo de pensar de los personajes entre el 1 y el 2, es como si jugaras un videojuego totalmente diferente con los mismos personajes. La inclusión forzada toma demasiado protagonismo y no se siente real y fluida como si lo fue en la primera parte. Es horrendo ver cómo se desconectan totalmente de la raíz del primer videojuego para hacer un drama adolescente en el segundo, si alguien me dice que los escritores de Netflix escribieron este guion sin jugar el primer juego lo creería. Excelentes paisajes, algunos bugs y mucha decepción. Igualmente pienso darle la oportunidad a la tercera parte si la crítica de los jugadores muestra una vuelta positiva en ella.… Expand

En terminos de gameplay este juego es Genial, los mapas son Excelentes. Sin embargo la Historia esta mal hecha, mal ejecutada, y toma caminos que difieren mucho con el jugador.     Gameplay and graphics are awesome and stunning, however, The fact that the story was horrible and tedious where I couldn’t connect to the new characters or empathize with them, and the fact that some of the crap I had to do felt more like chores. I couldn’t invest myself into the game. I didn’t want to explore anything. All I wanted to do was get it over with and just finish it, havingGameplay and graphics are awesome and stunning, however, The fact that the story was horrible and tedious where I couldn’t connect to the new characters or empathize with them, and the fact that some of the crap I had to do felt more like chores. If you can’t get players to be invested with the story and world created then graphics and gameplay mechanics don’t mean anything. Better playing the first Last of Us game.     >Joel foolishly believed he could trust outsiders when he was NEVER like that to begin with.
    >Kill off Joel without him saying much to Abby, and no lastwords to Ellie.
    >Force us to play Abby, the one who took Ellie's father Joel away from her.
    >You changed Ellie's looks... to where she's unrecognizable in some aspects compared tothe first game.
    >Made the game way too easy.
    >While you managed to make the world feel somewhat immersive, you still made it feel super empty.
    >The Seraphites were a knockoff of Eden's Gate from Far Cry New Dawn.
    >Gave us a bittersweet first ending where Ellie settles down with Dinah but it still felt lonely, then made everything go go **** with PTSD.
    >Made a tortured Ellie travel a far far way to kill Abby, BUT ONLY TO SPARE THE ENEMY. There was NO reason to let all of those killings be in vain. The real Ellie believed that it couldn't be for nothing. Nobody would have hunted down Ellie or anyone else if Abby was killed. Joel was literally just saving his daughter from being murdered, and then he had to pay with his life. Ellie lost her father with the last memories of him being beaten to death, into a bloody pulp. So she let's the one that caused her so much pain and agony go, unjustified mercy. Abby got so many people on both sides killed. So Abby also takes Ellie's two fingers from her. Who thought this was a good idea?

    I knowhow the review system works for the most part, but I doubt the official reviews were genuine in any way, shape, or form. Anything bellow a 5 is pretty much negative. So this 2 was well deserved. The idea you were still able to get 5 and up is disgusting. The only thing good about this game was the strong attention to physical detail, but that's really it. This was one of the greatest disappointments for me. I over looked the PC stuff that even I'm personally opposed to, only to find out it really doesn't matter because either way, this was one of the largest media failures in a long while. Now ND can't even take the criticism and try to do right by people. May they go bankrupt. I've signed the petition to urge Sony to rework TLOU Part 2's story. Maybe they can replace Druckmann with somebody worthy of giving the Last of Us the sequel it actually deserves. I can only hope    … Expand

Honestly what a piece of **** **** Even the incredible combat system and outstanding graphics aren’t enough to redeem this game of its terrible story. So this game is Ellie trying to kill Abby, so why the **** do we play as Abby. The theatre scene when you’re playing as Abby trying to kill Ellie pissed me the **** off because it makes no sense. You expect us to care about Abby when we see her torture Joel, pop Jessi in the face, shoot out Tommy’s eye, and nearly kill Dina? **** that shrek step sister looking ass **** And we wanna see her literally get ****ed? I almost threw up when I saw that ****’s man **** And that **** ending. You’re telling me Ellie tortures Nora and gets about 5 tactical nukes from killing all those **** scars and wolfs but at the end, the person that she killed everyone for gets to live. The message at the end was supposed to be “revenge is bad” but it’s not a good message considering all you do in this game is kill ****ers. I’m literally never gonna play this game again in my life, I’ve played the first one about 6 times and I could still go back to it and have a blast.     I've played shooters for years. TLOU was different, it truly did make you feel for the characters and the story. Like many here I was left speechless at the end of the first one.

    One of the worst ps4 games I've ever had the displeasure of playing. I was very excited to buy this on its release, but was met with an surprising amount of boredom. The positives are obvious, the game looks good and has nice animations. I want to focus on the story of the game (the main appeal imo). It is terrible... Talk about frustratingly slow and as the game goes on it only getsOne of the worst ps4 games I've ever had the displeasure of playing. If you like a game that consistently flashes back to the past instead of generating forward movement, then you may be less angry than I am. Especially once you hit the character switch for "narrative purposes" you will be met with fluff that I think is plain and dumb.

    Lastly, Why are these factions in the game other than to be an obstacle to be killed? They feel like fodder because they are. What a shame. If i could get a refund, I would. Better off playing the first game again and purge this mess of a story.    … Expand

    This game is a mess in almost every sense of the word. The story is ridiculous, as if a child had written it after reading a children's book on the morals of "treat others as you would like to be treated".

    Numerous plot holes, lack of chemistry between characters, unlikable personalities from everyone besides the old characters, it's insane how such a low effort story made its way onto this series.

    And who cares about the gameplay when the developers were clearly only trying to sell its story? If all you talk about in trailers and interviews is the story, then that's what I'm going to focus on. Good graphics are easy to do nowadays, gameplay is just copy-paste of a 7 year old game with mindless new additions that don't take away the repetitive aspect of it. It's a mess, a waste of money, and honestly, a disgrace to the series, which seems to have died already at the second game.

    Maybe the company shouldn't have fired the people that actually made good games like Amy Hennig or Bruce Straley. I think little druck is probably angry knowing he'll never reach the talent or creativity of those two.    … Expand

    Its not getting a 0 ONLY because of gameplay and graphics refinement. TLOU was always about the characters and events they go through, how they live through those events and what will become. TLOU 2 is just garbage. Game's story is so cringeworthy that sometimes I wanted to just throw my controller out of the window and burn my ps4. SuBvErt ExpEcTAtiOns my ass.

I feel like one of those time traveling assassins from FAQ about time travel should go back in time and get rid of the writers as soon as Last of Us 1 came out, anything to prevent this travesty. SeriouslyJust finished the game and I'm rating it 2/10, 1 point for the graphics, 1 point for the gameplay, as for the rest it's a dumpster fire. This game's the best example of a **** sequel.     I'm giving it 2 because they went too far in order to be politically correct. I don't support homophobic behavior, however I cannot support heterophobic either - just like this game - the only straight white guy gets shot by a black lesbian, that finishes him off in a brutal fashion by smashing his head with a golf stick. The other heterosexual guy also gets killed. The message of the game is "Kill the straight white guys! Only LGBTQ and black lives matter!" Sorry, but I can't support this.    … Expand

I honestly have little faith in ND in delivering a sequel in the future. They literally murdered a beloved character and made us play as the murderer? Really? This was your beat decision?     Não entendi porque foi necessário o contexto sexual, onde a personagem é lésbica, sinceramente não entendi onde isso se encaixa na estória dos zumbis e sobrevivência. Muito decepcionado, gráficos ok, nada demais, o primeiro jogo é muito melhor. Acho q seria mais interessante por exemplo a Ellie ter filhos e esses seriam imunes e espalhariam seus genes. Infelizmente essa estória triste, semNão entendi porque foi necessário o contexto sexual, onde a personagem é lésbica, sinceramente não entendi onde isso se encaixa na estória dos zumbis e sobrevivência.     That's the only good thing about this. Everything else is either mediocre or down right awful. The game play did not evolve one bit since the first game. It's still a walking simulator that's more a movie than a game, which would be enjoyable if it had a good story but God damn is it bad. The story simply broke my heart and not in the good way. It's like a spit in the face of the entire fan base. It's like the worst fan fiction you could possibly find. Seriously? It's full of plot holes and the characters you fell in love with in the first game are completely ruined and you are forced to play with the character that ruined them. I don't mind the woke stuff but when so much of it is obviously forced down your throat it feels like the entire game was built around it so if people don't like it you can pull the victim card and say that they are ists and phobes and whatever. And the director to preach so much about sexualising women in games is bad only than to put that Abby scene in the game? I can't unsee that. What were you thinking? Let me tell you a little secret game devs. People are playing games for entertainment and they'd rather see pretty things while doing it than ugl.. excuse me FUGLY ones! This is never going to change. How is sexualising men was never a problem? People don't like to be preached to and to be told what to think.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Spit in the face for me and everyone who loved the first part of this story and the DLC. You had it all, a good story, a good drama, the most beautiful graphics we had seen that year, in short, a Masterpiece, and now you just ruined everything the worst way... You force us to love or understand the reasons and history of this character (Abby) and that was not enough for you, but you make us play with her and save her too, before killing Joel. It was supposed to cause us some kind of pain and have empathy with her, right? The truth was not achieved in the least.

    The strength of TLOU was the relationship between Ellie and Joel after having lost Sara, the fact that he cared for her as his own daughter, you could kill any other character and give a very similar drama and feelings to us, the fans. You could have even made us fall in love with Tommy and then kill him or do a massacre and then Ellie & Joel's revenge, but what made the game so successful years ago, was the relationship between them, as main characters... Even the end of the game is horrible, all for nothing, at least you should get revenge for Joel.

    I loved this story, the most perfect one, it even surpassed that of many movies. The only thing that makes me give this rating are the graphics, they are still beautiful, even more, some of the most realistic for these times, and yet it isn't enough for the disaster that you did to the game. :/

    All those who comment that it was a good plot line is because they are not real fans of the game, perhaps it is just one more game that they just liked. But for true fans it was the worst thing ND could have done.    … Expand

    The characters are detestable, they fail to create empathy for anyone except tommy. The climax is anticlimactic and makes no sense. For me this game is an astronomical trash. Graphically it is good, the soundtrack is good, the gameplay is good, but the stage design and the distribution of elements in it is horrible.

    it's funny how they are okay with the idea of playing as Joel's killer for half of the game and expecting the player to sympathize with her.
    Maybe if you showed me her back story before showing me her beating Joel to death, I would've felt for her but noo…
    We waited seven years to see the dynamic between Ellie and Joel but instead you murder him in the first two hours of a 30-hour plus game.
    And what the **** was that ending? you spend the whole game killing, butchering, burning, and shooting humans who did nothing personal against you. But you let the person who killed Joel get away after she bit 2 of Ellie's fingers off because revenge bad.
    oh and that left a Ellie unable to play the guitar taking away from her the physical manifestation of Joel's love and care.
    And can we talk for a minute about the false advertising, deceiving people into thinking that Joel would be more invested in the story.
    Most of the people who loved the last game loved it for the relationship that Ellie and Joel had.
    This cute father/daughter, gardian/innocent dynamic.
    The main theme of the story was hope and how you can find peace and order in a world filled with chaos.
    From the beginning of the game the story tells you when you're lost in the darkness look for the light.
    But unfortunately in the Last of Us part 2 there was no light.
    The relation between Ellie and Joel was destroyed for 99% of the game.
    And they act off their character:
    -Joel who was in the last part cautious, strong and smart he refused to pick up a dude that pretended to be injured because of his intuitions. However at the second part he saves a stranger that have no idea where she's from, whether she's infected or not and follows her to her group and be like "hey my name is Joel Miller I live downtown and here's my bank password". okay I get it, living with Ellie made him soft but not that stupid.
    -in the first game Ellie cared about life. life of people that she loved: Riley, Tess, Sam…
    You can see her shock when she shot another human for the first time to save Joel. You can see the guilt and pain in her face from all the people she killed to protect herself and Joel by the end of the winter chapter when she's smashing David's face.
    However in the Last of Us part II she transforms from this innocent child that cares about others to this monter that don't give a **** about humans or animals.
    and then later they show you Abby and how she's petting dogs and playing catch with them forcing on you the idea that Ellie bad, Abby good.
    So yeah, in conclusion, if you gave this game 10/10 I'm sure as hell you were payed or you gave it this high grade for just the flashback of Ellie and Joel in the museum because that's the only part of the game where I felt like I was playing the Last of Us.
    Naughty dog made this game just to make money they don't give a **** about fans at all.
    The first game brought them a lot of success and they wanted more of it cell they didn't bother putting an effort into making the sequel cuz they know most people would buy it.
    And yeah nobody can deny the amount of detail and effort that the developers put into the graphics but it's just like buying a McDonald's burger. You don't buy it for the fries you buy it for the whole meal so don't buy the game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I **** loved The Last Of Us(1), I was 12 when I played it (I’m now 18) and it truly was the first video game that made me feel emotional. Not to mention the ending to the first game got me choked up because of the beautiful soundtrack but also the powerful writing and performances. Personally, I believe that if Joel was to be killed, it would be done in a heroic way. The fact that Abby just so happens to be saved by Joel is just goddamn lazy to me. Owen and Abby discussed how they’d get into to Jackson and if he (Joel) would even be there. I also feel heavily mislead with the trailer for the game making it seem like Joel and Ellie were going on another journey together.
    I was beginning to like Jessie as a character but then boom, he’s shot in the **** face, I guess because if Abby missed then she would’ve been killed by them both; end of the story. I was hoping we would be able to play as badass Tommy, avenging his brothers goddamn death, but no, he had to lose eye to Abby and get a hobble as well. I mean Tommy was basically maimed, Jessie was murdered. Abby then decides, that’s not enough?! Tf?
    Some questions I have is why weren’t Joel and Tommy suspicious about some random ass people so close to the town of Jackson? Why were they so trusting to these people? Wouldn’t they have been hostile to an unknown group like Maria was to Joel and Ellie at the dam? If Dina sensed she may be pregnant, why would she put herself and her unborn baby in danger? Why would that Mel character choose to go out on a mission even though she was more pregnant than Dina?!
    The last thing that pissed me off the most was the ending. Ellie was seeing images of Joel’s beaten-to-a-pulp corpse, you’d think she would just have killed Abby out of pure sadness and rage. That would’ve impacted just in general and would’ve been more human. That was Ellie’s whole reason for going to California in the first place. She ruined her relationship with Dina for nothing. Ellie killed arguably dozens of “WLF’s” that weren’t connected to Joel’s death in any way. These such wolves may have just presided in Seattle. No, no, killing one more person would be terrible. I left the Last Of Us Part 2 with a feeling of confusion and a scowl on my face. The story was “out of order”. There was a lot of lazy writing in my opinion and convenience for the plot. The characters of this game didn’t feel like they were the same universe as the first game. Let me say this again, I loved The Last Of Us(1). In fact I played the first game probably 7 times, I had fun with the MP part of the game as well. I am not even going to play The Last Of Us 2 a second time. Killing off Joel at the beginning was a terrible decision. I expected him to die at some point in this game but the way he died at the very beginning seemed pointless and unfulfilling. We waited seven years for this game and have been waiting to see Joel again and we only get live 5 minutes of gameplay with him before he died. THE TRAILER WAS A LIE. It showed Joel going on this adventure with Ellie but in the game Jesse filled that spot. Then you have us play as Abby for 40% of the game and fight Ellie as this person fans hated.(Abby is the one that killed Joel btw) and you try to make us sympathize with this person but her part of the game just felt really dragged out. There was nothing fulfilling about this game or it's story. Really dropped the ball on this one.… Expand

Almost as if someone wrote down your worst nightmare and then wanting to charge you 60 dollars to read it forcibly, while telling you, "isn't this the best story ever?, Ohh you must be intolerant if you don't understand it". No I'm not intolerant, I just don't like character-ruining, depressing and repetitive sob stories in an entertainment product that I've paid for, BECAUSE of an expectation to deliver me just that, entertainment. There is nothing entertaining in killing one of the main characters for no good reason /at least at the begging of the game/ especially if that character is very likable. If this game was some other generic survival shooter no body would care but we are talking here about sequel of hte LoU - one of the best games on PS3 and PS4. The high sales on this game are only because of the expectations. Now those expectations are ruined and the next weeks will see a lot of people selling their copies of the game. Really sad true - the story destroyed this game. Also the unethical practice of Sony to attack streamers, to obviously pay people to write 10/10 user and critics reviews make me reconsider if it is good idea for me in the future to buy game on preorder or digitaly. Also the critics prove that they don't work accurately - when more than 56 000 people /at the moment of this opinion/ are saying that the game is not good that proves that the critics have to reconsider how they work and even stop been critics - no body wants false paid reviews!… Expand

I beat it on survivor so there are some pretty tough parts that are challenging. It seemed more like a chore to play the game as I had wasted 60 dollars on it with a digital pre order. I couldn’t go through the story a second time. It’s just so bad. There is so much wasted potential with the game. The game is horrible so much that I didn’t even want to play the first one anymore. I took time to download the first one then thought what is the point of even playing it. That’s how bad this game is. It has completely ruined the entire franchise. I cannot even play the first the last of us. The story made me cringe. The love triangles were not necessary. The choices people made are bad, Mel being pregnant. I think they could have done a way better job with the story. Graphics are nice, gameplay is good but sometimes a little glitchy where I couldn’t see the NPCs or they randomly show up in front of me. There were times when I would be sneaking and get noticed by someone not there. It makes that weird sound when your spotted that happened so many times that made me think who the f*** spotted me. Also the dodge command seemed to be broken. I would press it and nothing happened next thing I know I’m getting shredded by a runner. Gameplay could have been better. I wanted to give 5/10 but just can’t because as I was writing this i remembered all the BS i was put through with mechanics.… Expand

    En graficos y en mecanicas el juego es impresionante 10/10 le saca el jugo a la ps4 y da gusto ver los paisajes del juego, esta muy bien trabajado y se nota el cariño que le dieron gráficamente Pero... la historia se la pasaron por donde no llega la luz

    el primer juego me encantó, lo rejugue 4 veces, 2 en ps3 y 2 en ps4 y para mi es una obra maestra

    Dejo claro que me da lo mismo el hecho de que hayan puesto inclusión en el juego, la historia como tal esta mal hecha

    De primera el engaño de los trailers, nos dan a entender de que la historia va a tratar ellie va a vengar la muerte de dina y joel se le integra en mitad de su camino con una escena que NO APARECE EN EL JUEGO, entiendo el hecho de que en los trailers de las películas con escenas fuera de contexto crean otra trama con cambios mínimos y que se modifican en el producto final, pero los cambios de los modelados son detalles enormes, por esas escenas nos vendieron el juego porque todos pensábamos que el juego se iba a tratar de ellie y joel

    Pero el juego se me vino abajo cuando resulta que a la hora de juego matan a joel de una manera estúpidamente mala, todos sabían que joel era un hombre desconfiado que ni en su sombra confiaba y que era bastante precavido y sabíamos cómo era su instinto de supervivencia, que no tiene limites si se trata de proteger a alguien que quiere

    Y que llegue abby, tomy les diga su nombre y dejándose ir a una cabaña con desconocidos de lo más confiado para finalmente por conveniencia del guión se encontraron Abby y su grupo para que terminen matando a joel

    Era predecible que joel iba a morir, pero por el propio tráiler se da a entender de que iba a hacer por un punto avanzado del juego,

    Ahora voy con las otras escenas donde naughty dog nos engañó, en el tráiler se nos mostraban escenas con joel y ellie después de 4 años del 1er juego, pero resulta que las escenas que nos mostraban en el tráiler con joel eran flashbacks del pasado Lo otro es la trama del 2do juego que sella sacan del culo, el segundo juego se basa en la venganza de abbey por que joel mato a su padre, que en el primer juego resulta que el doctor, era AFROAMERICANO Y DE CONTEXTURA DELGADA

    Pero en el 2do juego resulta ser un doctor blanco un poco más gordito

    Habían muchas tramas mejores que la del juego final y que cualquiera sin ser alguien especializado en cuanto a guion podría haber hecho algo mejor

    En cuanto a musica 10/10 y no hay ningún tema que no me guste, toda la banda Sonora es igual o mejor a la primera, mis respetos a Gustavo

    Y el final también es igual de malo

    Entiendo el hecho de que quieran dar el mensaje de que la venganza genera más venganza y que mata el Alma y la envenena, que quieren demostrar de que los buenos nos son del todo buenos y los malos no del todo malos pero eso se espera de un mundo postacpocaliptico

    Y encuentro forzada la muerte de joel y el hecho que te quieran hacer jugar con abbey para decirte "te ponemos a jugar con la asesina de joel pero ya verás que no es tan mala y la perdonara porque estaba justificado

    Pues no, toda la parte en la que jugamos con abbey te hace sentir rabia por jugar con la asesina de joel, y en la parte que están en el estadio te tratan de meter a la mente de abbey no es tan mala, que le cae bien a todos, juega con perros y es totalmente lo contrario a ellieporque te quieren hacer ver que ellie es la mala y lo entiendo, pero al aplicarlo no funciona, terminas odiando a las 2 protagonistas Lo otro son los Cortes y los cambios muy bruscos de un momento de clímax y que te devuelva a un punto en el pasado en el futuro te dejan extrañado con "que acaba de pasar" esto sucede cuando abby llega al teatro y después de que abbey le perdonara la vida a ellie y aparecen meses despues en el granero, te deja muy confundido Y el final con ellie te deja mal porque ellie termina perdiendo todo familia, la cabeza por la obsesión con vengarse de abby, y por último sus dedos de sus manos con los que ya nunca más va a poder tocar guitarra como le enseño joel

    El final es malísimo porque el juego lo pone así, y porque es malísimo con la sensación que deja

    Me siento estafado por naughty dog porque jugaron con el hype de toda la gente que los mismos trailer nos daban una espectativas impresionante

    Y me da pena el hecho de que las páginas se dejan comprar por sony para que les den calificaciones de obra maestra pero no mencionen en sus reviews la ha historia y sobre quien es abby

    Si pudiera resumir el juego con una palabra es incoherente

If you played the first game, you will notice a major shift in how the characters act, it is totally different. Tommy and Joel who were not welcoming of outsiders, tell a random group of armed people right outside the town their names and where they are from. Joel ends up getting his head bashed in with a golf club, while Ellie and the player have to endure watching it while unable to do anything but watch. If that wasn't bad enough, you end up playing as Joel's killer for half the game. Naughtydog actually tries to make Joel's killer (Abby) out to be a saint that is a better person than Joel and Ellie. In fact you even have to fight Ellie while playing as Abby. At the very end of the game, Ellie fights with Abby and then lets her go safely. After Abby bites off two of Ellie fingers of course. I honestly cannot believe this was the follow up to the first game. My two favorite characters are destroyed, it is just sad. Also if you were hoping to see more infected types and just more interactions with them in this game, you will not get that here. There is only one new infected type, and 90 percent of your enemies will be humans in this game. The graphics are amazing! Game play is very similar to the first game, and there are some new guns and new additions to the bow. If you didn't play the first game and have no connection to the first games characters. You might like this game, if you did play the fist game... be warned.… Expand

    Don't get me wrong, I respect those who liked the game.
    The main point that everyone is discussing is the death of Joel, and my main problem with it is the way it was executed. A series of script conveniences, coincidences and even mischaracterization of the characters (Joel and Tommy), broke the game for me. People who liked the game generally argue that the two "softened" and are more sensitive to life in Jackson, so they made the mistakes and actions that culminated in Joel's death. (at least here in Brazil, where I am from, people are saying that a lot)
    The problem is that this is not presented at any time and is nothing more than a deduction that seeks to justify the script. And having to justify a script is also a problem. I believe that the two characters, even more sensitive, would still know what to do and what not to do in a situation like that, and because they have people they care about now, they would not let their guard down.
    Not considering the convenience of the script that makes Abby saved just by whoever she looks for and wants to take revenge on, and other coincidences that take Joel and Tommy to her camp, the death scene is all very strange. The two unarmed, surrounded by armed strangers and in military clothes. Tommy positions himself close to the wall on a piece of furniture with a view of everything that is happening, and Joel walks to the middle of the room with his back turned, completely vulnerable and surrounded. The two make the same mistake a second time: naming their real names. For the second time... Abby then pulls out his Shotgun and Tommy who has a view of the whole room does nothing (error of direction that makes the character only see what the camera sees) and the rest we already know, Joel dies as if he were no character important. Ellie's arrival at the mansion is also quick and very easy. Where was the rest of the infected horde that chased Joel, Tommy and Abby? And the game itself admits this facility by Owen's character who complains that no one was on guard at the other entrance to the mansion, when Ellie arrives.     - Story: the story goes around in circles and not in a way that makes you exclaim "Wow! So bright!" but in a very dull way, which makes the player suffer. Some did like that, but I sure didn't, I like my games clear and not foggy about their intentions and also my characters. Indecisiveness of characters in this game is really weird and forced, I really don't know how they could make such a rookie mistake. The story is one of the most important elements for this game so this is what makes everything drop to such a low score.

    - Characters: 4 years are a long time, but Ellie is somewhat unrecognizable in her main features. One could say she's been disfigured by the thirst for revenge, but sincerely, I don't buy that. Mainly poor writing on that side and an especially vicious one. Let me tell you why: they want to make you question her every move and somehow hate her for the rampage she goes into. Still, maybe it could be done, but not this way. They're just trying to stuff our throats with pre-fabricated things, without justifying them a bit more.

    - Gameplay: fun. But it's too long. Really, I never thought I'd say this, but it drags so much and without piling up the drama with story (which, as I said, is pretty dull) that I found myself hoping it ended several times before the end. It is really sad to say this. Really, really sad.

    - Level building: all the 10s around say it's genius, but sorry, no, it's not. I admit I liked the Seattle part, a weirdly structured open world HUB at the start of the game. But um... why was this the only one? Druckmann said it had to be open world, and well I actually see that. Just looks like a weird hybrid, but you're on rails most of the time. Why is this being called genius? I really can't understand. I like the new additions of tall grass and small openings and the fluidity of all the action and moving around, that's sexy. Still, not even close to genius level building, p-lease.

    In conclusion: the game could have been great. If not a 10 (like The Last of Us could look now, compared to this) at least a good solid 9. That's probably what all of us gamers asked for, but got this indecisive, weird story where they forced us to empathise with the new character and try to make us hate the shell of an old beloved character. The idea ain't bad, but it's INSINCERE execution lacks honesty, truthfulness and mere story-telling ability.    … Expand

    It's like a street thug appears with a baseball in Infinity War right at the beginning and beats the crap out of Stark...and he dies. I know it's GOTY, most awarded game, blah blah and other **** But I think I was generous enough to give it a 2/10, maybe because of a 10/10 prequel.

As for the game play it is decent and i had fun playing the game but i think it could be improved majorly! Enemies are divided to human and zombie, human were improved with respect to part1 the communication that the enemies used enhanced the experience! As for zombies there are no new types which as strange tbh.

    Compared to part1 narrative, part2 didn’t do as well... there is nothing wrong with a good revenge story but what naughty dog did is take a 15 hour game and double it by adding Abbie’s part! Personally i think the idea is good and could be implemented better. Playing with the most hated character killed it for me!

    Characters were poorly written and felt that they were forced upon us (gender/sex politics)!

Pero lo más importante para un juego es la historia, y su desarrollo, y la historia de este juego es una completa falta de respeto a todos los fans q estubieron esperando por este juego. Independiente de la muerte de Joel la historia es forzada y mal contada. El escritor decidió probar algo nuevo que bien contado y escrito hubiera funcionado. Pero termina siendo un desagrado completamente. Primero arruinaron el personaje de Joel y su personalidad del primer juego, sin decir que toda la química que tubo con ellie fue tirada a la basura. No merecía una muerte noble claramente pero no había que hacerlo tan forzada, q va a pasar en el próximo juego el padre de un npc q matamos al principio va a venir a vengarse de ellie? Es muy estúpido. Segundo, como esque se les vino a la cabeza intentar forzar empatizar con un personaje que claramente nadie quiere jugar, todos odian a abby y nadie quiere ser jugar con ella. Y bueno almenos jugar con ella pero 1 hora o 2 no 10 horas del maldito juego. Y además en el primer enfrentamiento de ellie contra abby. Es una mierda tener que jugar como abby. Almenos perder y dar el mensaje del final ahí mismo pero perdiendo jugando como ellie, no como un personaje recién incluido. Y porque después de todo eso lo alargaron demasiado con una parte en santa barbara innecesaria y la q más rabia da, después de risa la matanza de ellie decide no matar a la asesina de su padre adoptivo, como esque el escritor no de da cuenta de la mierda que había escrito.     The gameplay and story were both terrible. I couldn't wait for it to end and when I finally finished it, I sold it immediately. Biggest disappointment in years. And no, it has nothing to do with politics. It's just an awful game on its own.

    Naughty Dog had a gold mine with Ellie and Joel, but they wasted it for a gruesome, sad and unsatisfying revenge story.

    1 point for the stunning visuals and 1 point for the Ellie and Joel flashbacks.

The graphics and environment are pretty good, but the game is terrible in terms of story, numerous plot holes, enemy AI (Buggy as hell, melee attacks sometimes wouldn't even register), and the fact that we were told we didn't have to kill any dogs in the game, but made us kill one speaks volumes.     False advertising, garbage story, lots of plot holes and contrivances, main characters being retconned, humilliated and/or killed. The ending brings you down, not up. It's all gone, there's nothing left anymore. It ruined everything this IP is and was.

    Graphics are great tho.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
