Looks good, Played the same as Last of Us 1. Not many gameplay improvements.

I found the story boring and a slap in the face to fans, who waited 7 years for this sequel.

I have no issue with the LGBT elements of the game, with Ellie its not her entire character, its a main point but she is more than just a lesbian character. I have issue with playing 10 hours of a character who killed a main beloved character in as humiliating away as possible, for what? Try to find common ground with said character and myself?
Ultimately it felt that the story didn't know where it was going.
2/10 For improving graphics on the first game, sound design, and level design.
Sadly the lack of improvements on the gameplay, and the story drag the score so low.

THE LAST OF US was one of the games that made me a proud of being a PlayStation User, the potential of this game was over the sky, the mechanics and new graphics was/is crazy. I am still playing online the first game. So I obviously waited so long for this. *Spoilers ahead*

And you have the audacity to kill my favourite character at the hands of this RondaRussey looking **** with a Golf club, A **** NORDIC BARBARIAN BEATS THE **** OUT OF poor Joel’s head. And you don’t stop there, you make me play up to 20 hours with this character that doesn’t exist yet I developed such a anger and resentment. I don’t know, I guess I got my expectations too high for a game that I have no control over, is like falling in love with the wrong person. Jessie, Shot in the face, does happen in front of Ellie, so did Joel and Tommy got hit on his eye in front of her as well. What does she do? Lose her fingers and her family. This is not about money, I don’t care if I have to pay more for a DLC, (already pay too much as I got “special” edition. ) Give me something else in Santa Barbara, go to the fireflies and get and alternative cure I DONT KNOW, but please do something

Don’t make me play again with the murder of my favourite character, I don’t care if she is the Pope lost daughter, I don’t like Abby, I don’t want to play a game where I hate the character.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The story in this game is absolutely terrible. The gameplay is really annoying too, why does dodging basically never work? Melee combat is SO broken you can't dodge attacks and when you attack they block 90% of the time. And you don't put your arm around character's anymore when you're both using the same cover, in fact it pushes you away from cover and often gets you spotted. They rush everything in this game (even though it's long. I beat it in about 28-30 hours and it was a chore)and it doesn't carry any emotion like in the first one, they just go for shock value at the cost of character development. And don't even get me started on how broken the fight against Ellie in the theater is. It feels like they went " the first game was a masterpiece, how can we take that world and its character's and ruin it in every way just to piss off everyone who loves it". I avoided the trailers and reviews and everything else about this game so I could experience it for myself in all its glory, except it has none. How many narrow passages can I crawl through before I realize there is always going to be a zombie or person who wants to murder me on the other side? Gameplay was repetitive. Jump some ledges, encounter some bad humans, go in a building and fight zombies. Search for loot. Repeat for 20 hours.

    *Spoiler warning*
-The gameplay is the same as the original, which I find somewhat clunky.
    -Characters are awfully shallow.
-The story has no purpose besides "revenge is bad" and ultimately feels pointless.
-They had a heavy SJW agenda with this one... I'm all for treating people equally, but Jesus Christ guys I can't even tell if Lev has a gender because of the way you sloppily allude to it!
-Too much romantic drama that feels forced.
-Shambler death animations are cringy and weird. (here let me grab you and stare as you die)
-A ton of plot holes; the whole story wouldn't be possible if Abby didn't have God-tier luck...
-the best storytelling is in the scenes with Joel and Ellie and they are few and far between.

They tried the Red Dead method and failed miserably. Why? because they make you play half the game as a character that kills someone you came to know and love. Once that point in the game hit, I didn't even want to play it anymore. As Ellie, I would explore, scavenge up and down, go for 100% completion. Once I got into Abby's shoes, I just wanted the game to be over. The best part of playing as Abby is seeing all the different death scenes.

This was the first game I pre-ordered and got the special edition of in over 5 years. (facepalm)
They effectively tarnished the reputation of The Last Of Us with this installment. If you played the first one, save yourself the heartbreak.

I bought ps3, all uncharted games and started to play again. I love tlou1 (still) and trustED naughty dog and sony. Bought Ps4 and all naughty dog remasters... then came tlou2. After a long waiting, bought the deluxe edition in pre-order. I was pretty happy, until I started to play this thing... thought 2020 would have anything good after all bad things happening in the world. The game have major story flaws. The full was not even closer of what I was expecting... Well, the most bitter tasty is being forced to play with the killer of Joel. Seriously, I’ve tried hard to play but when reached the way back to hospital was just speedrun until the end of abby’s gameplay. I couldn’t anymore. I did not want to play anymore, but after some days I came back and finished, just finished by the will of “finishing a game” that I paid for. It went even worse... playing against Ellie? Her immunity doesnt matter anymore?... Well that doesnt matter anymore for me. The sadiest after all is not the game itself, is that I trustED naughty dog and the feel like a betrayal and that I was tricked during the trailers and for all those years. You didnt just detroyed tlou story, you destroyed the pillars that made me came back to video games... Never gonna trust in that Studio anymore, even if they build another great IP, then I will wait years and get detroyed again!? The Last of Us Part II is the most gorgeous looking game I have ever played, and I would slow down in a lot of parts just to admire the beauty of everything. With that being said, the story is very disappointing and not reflective of the characters' personalities that we came to know in the first game. I understand that the game is trying to get you to relate with Abby by showing how hard her life was too, but you cant just kill off Joel in the beginning and then expect us to feel any remorse for Abby. It was a bit sad seeing how horrible Abby's life was getting, and i would've felt bad for her but she killed Joel, and that is unforgivable. I also think it was a chore to get through the second half of the game because you're forced to play as the antagonist, which was a real pain. I would also like to know what happens to Dina, instead of leaving off with Ellie walking away and not ending the story on a god note. I did not play this game to sympathize with some piece of trash character and even remotely want to play as her after what happens in the intro. I seriously cannot believe Sony even let Naughty Dog do this. The voice acting and level of detail is definitely good. But with a **** story, this game just left me hating everything about it. I spent 7 years looking forward to Joel and Ellie, to basically get a knife stabbed in me 30 mins into the game and literally hate every min I had to play as Abby. 1) Tommy and Joel would NOT try so hard to save a perfect stranger wandering so close to their compound

    2) Tommy would NOT invite a group of strangers to their settlement without vetting them thoroughly

    3) Tommy and Joel would NOT just give out their names so easily

    4) People who killed Joel would NOT leave behind 2 important witnesses so that they can come back and bite them in the ass.

These plot holes were never debated at Naughty Dog? I don't believe it.

the story is the single worst thing I have ever experienced. The characters are all over the place and their development from the first game is undone. Some of their actions make no sense and their characters are destroyed

    [ spoilers]
you play half the game as a character they try to shove down your throat that is not likeable at all. That story drags on and no matter what they throw at you. You do not feel for her. She is unlike able. And not fun to play as. Her story takes forever and the entire time you’re thinking “when will I play as Ellie again” becuase you do not care about Abby at all even though that’s what the game wants. It’s insane that they give you 10 hours of sob story and it still does not make you like her. You also have to fight against Ellie as her at one point. And it basically makes you want to stop playing the game. You should not be rooting for a character you play as to die,

Not to mention the story is so out of order and all over the place. You play in a flashback and then play a flashback in that flashback and so on. Not to mention joel dies in the very beginning of the game and in the marketing they changed models to make you think he was in the game more which is straight up lies. Abby, the character they make you play as not only kills Joel but TORTURES him to death. And never feels any remorse for it, yet we’re supposed to sypathize with her because she has a cute dog? She tortures prisoners in cages brutally and at one point just turns her back on the people she once considered HER people/family with literally no remorse. When she goes to kill Dina, Ellie says wait no she’s pregnant, Abby says “good” how are we ever supposed to relate/like Abby unless you are a pyschopath like her. The pacing is also suuuuper off

I think Dina and Ellie are a very cute couple, kind of awkward writing at times but overall good. Until the scene where Ellie reveals she is immune and then Dina randomly blurts out she is pregnant. Which is, not how conversations work. I’m kind of disappointed as how the LGBT characters were written as an LGBT person myself. This could have been a big chance for us with a huge presence and representation in a big videogame like this. But everything fell apart and now I believe it’s working against us rather than for us. It’s almost like 7 different people were told to write a story for the game and they weren’t allowed to talk to each other and then they mashed the ideas together.
Overall. The story is very bad. There were many times where I just wanted the game to be over already

TLOU2 tries so hard to be deep and thought-provoking, that it not only makes it a bad game, but also ruins much of the sentiment built after the first one. The gameplay has barely evolved since the first game, making it average but still ok. Graphics are stunning, but scenery is not as varied as in the first game, although this is mainly just due to the time scale. Maybe this would be a 5 as a standalone title, but it does need to be held up against its 7 year old predecessor and is one of the largest disappointments in recent gaming history. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As someone who was a big fan of the Last of Us part 1, coming into the THE LAST OF US PART II I had high expectations. Now, I told myself that, I am bound to be disappointed in some factors of the game. I mean, after all, its a game I have waited for for 7 years. I went into the game with an open-mind and having ignored all the leaks and spoilers, I had no idea what I was walking into.

    Problems and misunderstanding:

    1. Joels death was painful to watch. You play as a character named Abby who is running away from a horde of zombies. You are then saved by the beloved characters, Joel and Tommy. They save you on multiple occasions and eventually you bring them back to your little hide out. Now the first issue I have here is continuity with character personalities (Characteristics/traits). Joel and Tommy are known to be survivors and it is clearly demonstrated in the first game. When I mean clearly, they literally show Joel being ruthless to a group of bandits that were pretending to be injured, knowing this, Joel goes straight through like a badass. However, this trait is no longer seen in the second game. He casually just walks into a room filled with people that are armed and unknown. He then introduces himself, eventually getting killed. You see Joel die in the most brutally and heart-wrenching way possible during the first act of the game (2 hours in). This is where people misunderstand the majority of why fans hate this. We are not upset that Joel died...its how he died. His death by the end of the game nearly meant nothing. His character is not the same character we grew to love. Nor was his death memorable or meaningful whatsoever. A lot of us understood the motive that was presented here for Ellie, and yes...it did make us angry and we too wanted revenge just like Ellie. But it was done in a way that was so lazy and poorly written.

    2. Playing as Abby. It was very obvious what the game developers were trying to do. They wanted to humanize the character. They tried manipulating the audience by using the whole animal trope where Ellie is bad for killing dogs, Abby is good for saving a zebra and is friendly with dogs. It is these subtle things that make me so frustrated with the game because these devices or elements that are used to get the audience to sympathise with Abby are poorly integrated within the game. I can say that after playing 10 hours with Abby with a storyline that hardly connected with Ellie's, I still felt nothing for her character. Even by the last fight between Ellie and Abby, I was filled with rage and wanted Abby dead so badly.

    3. Poor Character development. I didn't care one bit about any of Abby's friends. In fact, I was super happy when Manny got shot in the face. Owen and Mel's death was nice to see. For the matter a fact, Jesse and Dina were alright characters. I truly didn't think much of them at all, when Jesse died to a bullet to the face, I kind of just sat there and looked at him and shrugged it off. It was clearly just for shock value, and the characters in the game clearly didn't care either.

    4. Political Agendas. Yes...Abby may not be a transgender woman, but my goodness, she got dem guns. Basically, all the men die, woman live on! I never really cared because Ellie was and always has been the best character in the game (apart from Joel). I have always seen Ellie as a badass character. She can handle her own and take on just about anyone. That is what I call a strong, independent female character. However, it is clear that some of the games selling point has to do with the lesbian, transgender LGBTQ political point of views. I am all for these kind of things, if it doesn't affect the story...which it didn't to be quite honest. I was fine with Dina and Ellie being together because I already knew Ellie liked women from the DLC Left behind! But, my goodness, Lev was just a copy paste of trying to replicate the Ellie and Joel relationship with Abby and baldy over there. It just sucks because they could have made all these powerful messages about the LGBTQ into the game, but do it subtly and not shove it down our throats. In doing so, it makes it more impactful and meaningful in a way. LIKE WHY WAS MEL OUT IN COMBAT WHEN SHE WAS PREGNANT! WOMAN EMPOWERMENT? NO!

    5. Ellie learning her lesson at such a weird time. Wtf yo...I tried writing this review in a professional manner, but as you can see above, I have given up. What was the ending. Only after getting 2 fingers bitten off and killing maybe another 50 people she then realises she doesn't want to kill Abby??? How did she not learn her lesson the first time when she encountered her. She killed probably over 200 peeps and by the end of the story shes like nah girl. Leave with yo bald ass baby... Ellie lost everything, whilst Abby is straight drippin in gold. Joels death felt like it was for nothing and the story just ends.

7 years, we expect at least a mediocre story and game, but what we got was worse...

So far Naughty Dog had never let me down and trust me I wanted this to be good too. Even if it probably wouldn't be as good as the first game, I was hoping I'd still love it. I did see the leaks and I wasn't sold on the story, I was always afraid for Joel since they announced the game, but I was hoping they wouldn't go that predictable route and if it had to happen it would have been done in a way the character deserved.

Now I already knew Joel's death was gonna be brutal, I knew Abby's motive, I knew we had to play as Abby, I knew we were had to fight Ellie. In spite of knowing this, I still had this hope, that they would do it in a way that would be good.

After I started playing it I hated to find out Joel was being killed so early on in the game, it feels so rushed, like they couldn't wait to get rid of him. They made him fall for a trap which isn't like him, made him die at the hands of a group of cowards who were all in favor of Abby torturing him in a disgusting way, and even have someone spit on him... I felt angry like they wanted, but more at ND for choosing this path than anything else. The next part is the part I did enjoy, there are amazing details in the game, and some very suspenseful moments, jump scares. All good, until, you have to switch to Abby.
A very unlikeable character which they try to make you sympathize with, her dad saves a zebra, what a good guy right? Then he rationalizes killing a child, without her given consent, for an experiment to maybe make a vaccine. A vaccine that is very overrated cause if a bloater gets you, a clicker rips out your throat, or a runner smashes your brains in, what good did the vaccination do?
Abby said if it was her she would want him to do the operation, but her dad never said he would, because a real loving father wouldn't kill his precious daughter, he would take her and run, and you know it.
Like Joel did with Ellie. So he went to get Ellie and Abby's dad threatened him, he got shot and died. Just like almost all of the fireflies, yet Abby seems to somehow know a guy named Joel Miller did it, hunts him down for years with a group who, again, apparently agree Joel deserves the most horrific death... This whole plot is ridiculous and poorly written.

Not only do I not agree with Abby and I don't feel bad for her cause I already know what she did, it's bad writing to have her do something so disgusting to our favourite character and afterwards try to get me to sympathize. Not gonna happen, especially with a very short flashback. Then we are stuck playing as her for hours, she is so unlikable, they try to convince you how good she is by saving Lev and Yara. She even betrays and kills her own people, people she knew! For these 2 kids she just met. How is that not "worse" then what Joel did? He travelled the country with Ellie and built a relationship with her, he killed people he didn't know to save her. it's just so hypocritical to me.

After all that mess you have to fight Ellie, It felt awful, I didn't want to do it, I only hated Abby more.
Ellie is left with PTSD and goes after Abby once again, but not before you have to go back to playing that horrible character once more.
After all the trouble she goes through, and losing 2 fingers, out of nowhere Ellie decides to not go through with it. it makes absolutely no sense to me that she would go all this way and for some reason can forgive Abby for what she did out of hate to someond she dearly loved, even tho she couldn't forgive Joel for something he did out of love.

I get that Ellie felt conflicted, that she felt bad about resenting Joel, being cold to him, because of how much it hurt when she lost him and saw him like that. I get that she probably was angry at herself aswell... but it doesn't take away how empty the ending is. She has no one left, everything good in her life is ruined, destroyed. She can't even play guitar anymore, her last connection to Joel, and leaves behind his guitar. This game was designed to make you feel horrible, which is not why I play games...

Not to mention that Joel & Ellie = The heart of The Last of Us, it's what made the first game amazing. How the wounded man learned to love again, even tho he didn't want to, he didn't want to open up, he didn't want to get attached to Ellie, it was too painful for him because of what he lost and she reminded him of that. But she melted his heart, and Ellie found something in Joel she never seemed to have had before.

The trailers also made us think that Joel was gonna be alot more involved in the game, by flat out lying and tricking us with using an older image of Joel in scenes that turned out to just be flashbacks of Joel before the events in this game take place, and it was all on purpose just to deceive and make the player feel bad.
Sadly, you officially, and massively, disappointed me and other fans, for the first time...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. From intentionally using a falsified trailer years ago, to making us play as the dreadful, hateful character Abby for however many hours, this game was a mess from the jump. it is nothing evenly remotely similar to its predecessor, which in many of our eyes was an absolute masterpiece, and probably the biggest letdown of 2020, and that's saying a lot. The fact that they killed the dude who, along with Ellie, made us so emotionally attached to the Last of Us Part One was such a despicable act of disrespect to any fans of the original game. Not only was Joel killed, he was literally tortured to death by a character many of us couldn't bear playing later on in the game for 10 hours or more. There is not a single redemptive factor about Abby except for maybe her 'saving' of Yara and Lev, despite NaughtyDog's vehement attempts to try and actually make her seem like a person instead of the absolute monster that she is. Also, NaughtyDog, the whole white savior thing, even if she is a woman who 'takes no **** has a heart, is built like an ox' blah blah blah, really wasn't the message to put out in today's day and age. Like come on I know you guys are a little smarter than that. Like don't get me wrong, there were some parts of the game I really enjoyed, such as the paleontologist's museum. A beautifully written and animated scene which was honestly tugged at the heart strings, especially the scene in the space shuttle. But it's only allowed to be beautiful because it's so strongly connected to the first game, and is a highlight of Joel and Ellie's relationship, which is both beautiful and cruel at the same time. I understand the message that you were trying to employ when you wrote the script, but the whole idea of 'revenge is bad and it'll only get you or your loved ones is so overdone'. This game could've been so much and more, but honestly, the plot was so flawed, and its execution of this plot was butchered. Did you guys see the end of Game of Thrones? Surely you could see what effect trying to 'subvert expectations' can have on any form of media, from film to games, on it's fanbase. Don't even get me started on those stupid god damn shock deaths. So ridiculous.

In review, remake the game, visit the roots of the last of us part one. Animators and coders, you did a stellar job, the game is smooth, fun to the run around even though there a lot of running around, and the combat is a class act.

Scriptwriters and a certain director who I hope never touch this series again? Do better.

TLOU was a simple yet powerful, effortless but a deep storytelling masterpiece. TLOU2 tries so hard but achieves so little for it. There’s no doubt that the game would ride high on it’s former glory and turn a huge profit but the future of Naughty dog seems depends on their decision to change things. If you have not played the first game, TLOU2 might be a enjoyable for it’s gameplay, graphic and it’s stealth mechanics. Although I would suggest you to play the first game and save your money for a better game. Expand

I think I speak for everyone when I say that this game could have been so much more if just a little more thought was put into the story, maybe even some consideration for the fans that created the opportunity for a sequel in the first place. It is flabbergasting to see such a contrast in storytelling when comparing this mess to Uncharted or any other similar game.

The problem is not the death of Joel, rather the poor handling of it. The audience knows very well that Joel is not the hero of this story, however the direction this game took is contradictory at its base. Everyone who played the first game is supposed to care about the relationship between Joel and Ellie, so much so that it seemed fine for Joel to commit such a horrible act at the end of the first game. Therefore it seems astronomically idiotic to go on a opposite direction in the sequel. Introducing a character in such a way as Abby and then forcing the audience to play as her for half a game in order to justify her actions is meaningless. This is because there is not enough emotional investment or care (for a lack of better words) to incentivize sympathy. This second part of the game seems more like a slap to the face than anything simply because the first game was such a compelling story.

The gameplay is superb and immaculate details in the enviroment give this game much needed life. It is obvious to see the dedication that those departments had for the game; yet that also just shows how much better the game could have been with a more thoughful story. It is also quite ironic due to how both gameplay and story just needed to be built upon from the first game and yet one department succeeds and the other fails so hard at it.

On a basic level, this game provided an experience that no one wanted or liked (when I say no one, I mean the fans that gave so much praise to the first game).

I believe little changes in the story, that still kept it in the same direction, would have saved this disaster from happening. Something as small as killing Tommy instead of Joel at the start (making Joel and Ellie look for revenge, that inevitably causes the death of Joel at the half-way mark of the game) would have been so much better.

I do have to say that in a way they did a good job, because the entire audience feels the same anger that Ellie felt.

How hard it is to kill the bigger zombies now. What I absolutely hated: It’s absolutely ridiculous how you guys play commercials about this game for four years now, saying it’s pretty much all about revenge, but when there was a chance for an actual revenge, Ellie pu**ied out. Twice. Like, what in the actual scared f*ck? So let me get this straight. It’s all about revenge. This whole game is about REVENGE. Where is the revenge? It’s gone, because Ellie is a coward now. I feel like I lost 27 hours to play this game, because you made it pointless. Goddamn it, Joel and Jesse DIED, Tommy lost his eye, Ellie lost her family and there is NO revenge for any of this. Bulls*it, mate. Do not get this game, it’s a waste of time and energy. Expand

This game literally shocked me because it is not what I expected in this game with regard to the trailer State of play. Did you know? I was really motivated to buy this game because of the scene at the end of the trailer, we clearly saw Joel grab Ellie by surprise ... And the following was:

    - Ellie: What the hell are you doing here? - Joel: You think I'd let you do this on your own.

But in the game they put another character in place of Joel, Seriously it disgusted me to see this scam in the gameplay so much that ... I ejected the game from my game console immediately and I won't play this game anymore ...
I expected to continue the game with Joel, but why did you lie to us like that Naughty dog? it's contemptuous for your fans.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The gameplay and the mechanics of The Last of us 2 are pretty much what you would've expected. Some new features make it more dynamic than the previous game and although not very innovative it still works pretty well. Players who liked the last game will surely enjoy this one too. But all the sneaking and fighting was never the point of this franchise. It was the story. And herein lies the big problem. Be warned, there are massive spoilers up ahead.

Joel's murder is staged in a way that we, the player, instantly share Ellie's longing for revenge. As we set out to confront his murderer, every action is driven by that desire and while being very brutal we have little compassion for the organization said murderer is part of. During her journey we begin to understand that Ellie will have to sacrifice her own well-being and emotional health in order to avenge Joel's death. The arch of tension is build up very nicely until the point of Ellie's confrontation with Abby. And then nothing. Just a gigantic cliffhanger. As we desperately want to see how the encounter ends we are thrown back three days just to play as Abby. And here is where, in my opinion, the game takes a very wrong turn.
We experience Abby's own sad background story, find out Joel killed her father and are tangled up in an unconvincing love triangle. Abby starts to question her believes and changes from cold blooded killer to a caring person. She shows compassion towards her enemies and saves two children. And yet we couldn't care less. This is because from the very first minute we slip into her role, we see through Naughty Dog's blatant attempt to make us relate to her and to see more in her than just Joel's killer. Even worse, we feel lectured. It is as if the developers are teachers who are resolving a conflict by forcing us to understand our opponent's motives.
Abby's crime is so heinous and leave us so shocked that we just don't care. As her story unravels piece by piece we get more and more frustrated as we can't build a connection with her but still have to play just to advance the plot. We understand and comprehend why she did what she did, we may even come to the conclusion that we would've done the same. But we still care to much about Ellie's loss. A few hours of gameplay as her main antagonist is not enough to forget that, let alone sympathize with Abby.
Unfortunately this is so annoying, obvious and unconvincing that the experience is ruined beyond repair.
Everyone old enough to play this game knows there are always two sides to the same coin. The message of the game is clear. The way it is presented, however, does not work and leads to a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game was fine until Elle started acting like someone on drugs and making terrible life decisions that effected everyone around her. I was then forced to play as a bulked up female character, Abby, who I didn’t care anything about. Worse, I needed to collect the same things Elle collected and level Abby up which just seemed boring and grindy as hell. At this point I just turned on all the in game mods to make the game easy to play and get me thru this as quickly as possible. The guy who wrote this insanity maybe should have had “his” fingers chewed off as punishment. “You only need three of them, right?”

    I wanted to give this game a 2.5 but I couldn’t. So it got a 3.

The audio and visuals in this game are incredible, but it was sad to see what they did with the story. The original was beautiful with a heart warming story. This one is beautiful but with a heart darkening story.

Seven years of waiting and honestly, I would've rather waited forever than have the name of this game tarnished with memory of what I just played. I don't have a problem with whatever agenda this game pushed, I have a problem with the story overall. Sorry, but if someone broke into your house and killed your dog, would you forgive them, or go John Wick on them? No one wanted to play as Abby, no one wanted to understand her side. The only reason I am giving this game a two is because obviously the graphics are were going to be phenomenal. In all reality, I should be giving it a zero considering I can't return this game. I think the biggest mistake I've made with it is buying it to begin with...

This is the worst game I’ve ever played, the story was garbage, killing off Joel in the first 2 hours by some random character then forcing us to play as that character for 10* hours and then have us demolish our favorite character Ellie like we didn’t build a relationship with her and Joel In The first last of us, everyone wanted Abby dead only to get to the end and not get revenge on Abby and Ellie is left with nothing!? This game is ridiculous and I’d turn the game back in for my money back if I can, I wouldn’t recommend the game to anyone, will not be playing it again, just pure garbage truck juice of a game FOH! The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
