Political agendas pushed in any media will always ruin that form of media, every time without fail and TLOS2 is not an exception just because the first game was so awesome
first half of the game is decent enough because at least your Ellie going after Joel's killers but then you get thrown into a crap story playing as the person who kills Joel, HORRIBLE writing.
and the icing on the cake is that SJW's need to push their agenda and have multiple trans in the game when they are there so they can feel better about themselves, if it actually added to the story or gameplay then it could be acceptable.
NaughtyDog is going down a dangerous path and wont be surprised when they go bankrupt 99% of people stop playing their games just so they dont have to have agendas pushed down their damn throat

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played the game, I didn’t like the game, it didn’t even feel like the same franchise as the first one. The first game shouldn’t have gotten a sequel in the first place but here we are. The whole game Ellie plows through hundreds to kill Abby but yet when she actually reaches Abby she doesn’t kill her? Why? To maintain her humanity? But she’s been killed so many people how could she save her humanity by sparing one person, who has also killed tons of people. Abby is poorly written character, I don’t hate her because she killed Joel or because shes buff, she’s boring at best. She’s a violent and sarcastic soldier who has a dark past ooh so original and true whole revenge is bad plot point was so dumb. OH did you know being selfish and killing purely out of self interest is bad??? EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. The game is so heavy handed and annoying it acts like it’s telling a story that’s better than it actually is. But I’m gonna be real, I didn’t completely hate the game, I like the graphics, the actors, and the music. The part exploring the downtown area to get gas was probably my favorite part of the game just because it was beautiful, has interesting dialogue every now and then, and had the Take on Me scene. Okay game but that’s all I can say for it. Not a masterpiece by a long shot. If you want to play a game with great graphics, actors, characters, and writing with a morally gray character then play red dead redemption 2, not The Last of Us 2 Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Some of the combats were fun but overall the story was terrible. It would have made sense for many people to want to hunt down Joel and Ellie but this was just a revenge story for multiple characters. It makes no sense that the entire world stop looking for Ellie, Joel, or a cure. The game was intent on destroying everything fans loved about the first game. Joel, Ellie and Tommy are all destroyed, as are their relationships with each other and with everyone else. New factions are introduced and there could have been something very interesting there but the focus is purely on personal rage, revenge and hate. The story could have been redeemed a bit if Abby had offered to take Ellie to the Fireflies at the very end to complete what TLOU1 mission was and what Ellie had wanted along and what Abby’s dad wanted. The intro of yet another faction in the last 5% of the game was also never really explained. There werent even any lazy storytelling by way of found notes to give context to these rattlers, prisoners and chained zombies. Too many loose ends, too little character development, too little chemistry in the romances and no depth in these new loyalties/friendships that are introduced. Expand

I did not enjoy playing the game, mainly because I hated the character of Abby and because this game doesnt need to exist. The gameplay feelt a bit clunky sometimes and if I am honest the story was actually pretty boring.

Also things like character development were pushed into the Backround. I will praise the game for things like: Graphics, sound design, acting, and Top tier animation.

Also things like character development were pushed into the Backround. I will praise the game for things like: Graphics, sound design, acting, and Top tier animation.

Another thing that annoyed me was the amount of false advertising, for example, in the trailer we see Joel saying the Line "You think I would let you do this on your own?" but that whole scene and Dialog was spoken by Jesse in the Final game. They kill a beloved character, wich is ok, but it needs to be done in a way that makes sense for their character arc and story, the only reason Joel died was for Ellie to get a reason to kill abby, and it didnt belong into his arc.

For me a Sequel needs to justify its existence, this game did NOT justify its existence. And the game needs to take what the First game made great and improve it. A prime example for that is Doom Eternal. This game is gameplay-whise pretty much a clunkier version of the first game. So for me it fails as a sequel.

I dont want to talk about the story, there are enough reviews about it, its not a good story and the rest you can read in other reviews.

The ending is really bad. Ellie is left without anything and broke her promise to Tommy, Abby is alive, all the characters from the First game are dead, the few good characters in this game are Dead, and the game is just a setup for a new sequel. Ellie walks off : Alone, broken, a completely different person and unlikeable. Nothing was resolved, Joel's death was not done correctly. Abby's complete story and "love" story is pointless. Its not good

Just imagine if the story was Ellie tracking down Abby and with time seeing her point of view and the same with abby. Then the ending would make a lot more sense

I played Dishonored, a game about revenge. However, I spared Daud despite the fact he killed the Empress, the love interest of your character, and kidnapped your child. I did this because I heard his monologue about how much he regretted it. A speech to himself with nothing to prove to anybody else. Even when you meet him he doesn't beg for his life because he knows he deserves it. That's good writing. The problem here is that the Empress had little player connection, unlike Joel. So when you off a character by means of slapping fans in the face, of course they're going to get pissed. I don't think Abby necessarily deserved to die. I just think Joel was killed in a way that didn't do the fans service.

I am tired of companies that don't care about their Fanbase. It seems like we only get trash games, and that good games are a rareity. Most of the sequel's we get are cashgrabs that use the name and good reputation of the first game. And if people keep giving this kind of Trash good reviews, the gaming industry wont change, But it needs to change. Sony made the best games in the last decade, but that seems to be over now. Lets hope Spieder-man Miles morales is good........

I think its just like game of thrones season 8. The acting is great and the sets are amazing, but the plot doesnt make any sense and disrespects what the predecessor built. All in all (2,5/10)

Gameplay wise, it's okay. Nobody ever played Last of Us for gameplay. It was all cinematic gaming. I don't understand what they did with the story. These characters are nothing like the ones in the previous installment. I think if they wanted to change the character behavior like this then a reboot would've been better.

I personally play videogames in order to get rid of all real life political and social **** So I thank you Naughty Dog for forcing me to lose interest in The Last of Us! Even though I have finished playing the game due to a personal administration to the gameplay and astonishing graphics, I still am not fulfilled by the story.... Plus, injecting a personal hate not only into our beloved Ellie but the fans too is definitely appalling!
To me, the narrative failed. It shows no respect to The Last of Us' main characters, nor the fans too. I would have admired the game at least if they had us get to know Abby first, understand where she's coming from. Maybe have her father show his good influence on her, then eventually when confronting Ellie, she goes through a moral conflict and puts Joel down out of an unbearable sorrow to ..maybe.. make Ellie feel her agony. But definitely show an ending that would give Joel a heroic death that he deserves. I understand the concept of (you never know what the assumed to be villain is going through), but writers need to understand that choosing to spit on the dignity of a main character like that is definitely going to force us to hate the game.
    So yeah..I'm very disappointed....

As a player, you were spending several time with Joel and Ellie to create a bound and you can't simple cut that bound as something simple. If you were thinking on generate a bound with that antagonist character, I visualize multiple ways to do it, but the way you make the game narrative, merely didn’t work. I feel the 2nd part of the game like an excuse to make you feel in tuning with the antagonist, all looks so much forced. I feel it long, stressful and with out any sense, also to force you to fight against Ellie and Tommy is something that is painful for the player. The game playing, controls and drawings are awesome, but all those incredible features get opacity by the bad narrative and 2nd forced path. The best qualities are the graphics and the level design, yet it's hard to enjoy them when faced with stale gameplay, boring puzzles and (most of all) the abysmal story. The second part of the game is painful to play. The developers tried really hard to make you like Abby, but everything about her story arc is uninteresting and forgettable. Her decisions make little sense, as do those of her friends.
To make it short - the story is so bad that I barely made myself finish the game. I played worse games, and the score TLOU2 deserves is about 5 or 6. But seeing the game journalists outright lie about this game giving it a perfect 100, I feel justified to give it a 2 (+1 for the graphics and +1 for the level design) to counter the bots and raving fanboys who keep giving it straight 10s.

First obviously is Joel's death. But lets say this was a revenge story. What makes the story awful is that it's told almost entirely from Abby's side AFTER she kills Joel (after he saves her life). That makes her instantly completely unlikable, and the impetus is not there to want her to succeed. But lets say you're able to get past that. Then the fact that you almost completely do not ever get to play Ellie any more after the awful trudge with her is over makes the game awful. I'd rather have played Ellie for the fight in the theater.

Then Abby makes herself even MORE unlikeable by wanting to kill a pregnant woman. Whereas when Ellie did that... she did not realize it until after Mel was dead, and Ellie did so in self defense, while Dina was already completely unconscious when Abby was going to kill Dina.

Abby is a villain who Neil Druckman wants us to think of as a hero. joel was an antihero turned outright hero who Neil Druckman wants us to think of as a villain, because apparently Neil Druckman thinks it's fine to kill children if there's a chance of healing other people from the death. That's literally a nazi scientist mentality.

But lets say you were able to even get past all that, and you get to the very end of the game..... If it ended with Ellie being able to put the past behind her in the farmhouse and live happily ever after with Dina and the baby, I would have said 'Okay, not a great game but not a garbage fire of awful'

What makes it a garbage fire of awful is what happens afterwards. Ellie becomes a straight on psycho completely out of character, who saves Abby and Lev, JUST So she can personally fight Abby who no longer wants to fight, to the point that Ellie threatens to murder Lev in order to make Abby fight. As if Ellie is some sort of horrible villain. Somehow the audience knows the character of Ellie a lot better than Neil Druckman's warped sensibilities can manage. Ellie could have killed Abby on the cross. Or she could have come to the idea that revenge will not bring Joel back, AND THEN FREED ABBY and let her go.

But no, instead it's a disjointed, amateurish mess. She frees abby so she can kill abby then doesnt kill abby at the last moment for literally no reason. If she's going to spare Abby for no reason, she could have done it before having her fingers bitten off to permanently mar her while Abby gets off scot free.

And even if you say 'But Abby had most of her friends killed' - yeah well so did Ellie. Jesse and Joel were both killed by Abby, and Tommy is permanently disabled because of Abby. This was a revenge story without the revenge. You play a villain, fighting against a hero, and the villain wins for no good reason at all.

Neil Druckman does not know how to write a story. Whatever lightning in a bottle he had with the first game and the DLC is gone here, although I did read in an interview how he thought that people would think 'Abby realizes that Joel lied and hates him for it' - when NONE of the audience read it that way, which make me wonder if someone else wrote the story and Neil Druckman just is a crappy director who doesnt know how to read nuance.

I will not be playing TLOU 3 if it comes out. I consider this to have been a tremendous waste of money and I almost quit the game after Joel died, then after I saw I had to play Abby. My only hope was eventually I'd play Ellie again, and I'd get to have fun with her as the far better developed and likeable character. And I was robbed of that.. You don't even get Ellie getting to go back to live happily ever after with Dina after sparing Ellie, because apparently Dina doesnt mind her friend Jesse being shot in the face and murdered. She wouldnt wait for Ellie to return - she instead packs up the entire farm and leaves. What.... do they have U-Haul in the apocalypse? WTF?!

I will not play any more Naughty Dog games if Neil Druckman has anything to do with them, regardless of how good the graphics and animation are. Even if the gameplay is good (and for this game the gameplay was mediocre honestly). Because the Last of Us games are STORY driven games. If the story sucks, then the game sucks.

    And here... the story sucked.

I get it, the fans get it.. at some point Joel was gonna die. The problem is how he died, he was simply killed off for being killed off sake just to send Ellie on a wild revenge crusade. After finishing it a few minutes ago, I wish I had gotten spoiled. I could’ve saved myself many hours of frustration and disappointment and 60 dollars. Obviously, the gameplay, graphics, level and sound design are great, but the story is atrocious. The massive disrespect to Joel, the extremely bad pacing and dynamic between Joel and Ellie in this game, the villain, who we are made to play as for at least 10 hours who they clearly want us to sympathize with, but is one of the most unsympathetic characters I’ve ever seen in anything. This story is just down right stupid. Please I beg you anyone reading this, for anyone who hasn’t played this yet and loved The last of us and the amazing Left Behind DLC like I did, do not buy this game. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm gonna put this review in 3 parts. First why and what I enjoyed about the first part of 'The Last of us", then a general review without any spoilers, and lastly a full review with spoilers.

The Last of Us part 1 is still the best game that I have ever played in my entire life. What did I love about it? The characters, the interactions between them, the development of their relationships. The game made me tear up in the intro! Like 15 minutes into the game. The whole game was a journey and every second of it felt impactful and like it actually mattered. The gameplay was good, but not the most important factor and probably the 'worst' part about the game. If I would rate the individual aspects of the game in numbers out of ten it would look something like this:
    Graphics: 10/10
    Storytelling: 10/10
    Characters: 10/10
    Sound: 10/10
    Setting: 10/10
    Gameplay: 8/10

Now to The Last of us Part 2: Let's start with the positives. The world looks gorgeous, especially for a ps4, they got everything out of that console, no doubt. The soundeffects are still amazing and I felt absolutely immersed in this post apocalyptic world. The gameplay remained mostly the same, just got a few improvements compared to the first part. You could argue the gameplay is outdated but to me that was fine.
Unfortunately, this is where the negatives start. The game's pacing felt off. Some parts were completly rushed, some parts felt like a drag where everything felt like a big 'side quest' without really getting anywhere.
The storytelling was all over the place, characters did not act consistent, character interactions and development was weird. They did not make a good job with the new characters, I did not care about most of them. Some cutscenes did not make any sense and the story felt forced.
This whole game felt more like a huge 'message' to and about our society than a video game. I don't mind a message/meaning behind a game. Something to think about. But it was delivered very poorly. And thats the reason I don't understand the Metascore.

This is where the spoilers start, so be warned.

The Last of Us 2 starts out really nice, giving some backstory to what happened in the first part and introducing some new characters. It takes about 2 hours until the 'big thing' happens. 2 hours where you get reintroduced into the game. In the first part, it took Naughty Dog 15 minutes to get the player emotionally attached to Sarah and 'care' about her.
In this game, they take about 2 hours(!) to kill Joel, the main character of the first game and it still felt rushed. Nothing led up to it. It just happened. Joel was one of my favorite video game characters ever. And I did not feel a thing. I was just shocked and disappointed in Naughty Dog. Like, I knew Joel was gonna die in this game. But that was just really low effort...

What's next? Ellie wants revenge and goes after Joel's killer. But instead of putting the emphasis on that, we get a plain love story about Dina and Ellie. Distracting from everything else! Now, I don't care if it's Male/Female, Male/Male, Female/Female or Human/Stuffed Animal. But if I want a love story about some 'horny teenagers' I'm gonna play something else, or watch a movie about that. There's also 2 sex scenes in this game that felt completely out of place. They just added them to add them. They didn't do anything for the story, and just felt awkward.

So Ellie and Dina spend 3 days in Seattle. At the end of day 3 we finally get a standoff with Joel's killer, Abby. What happens next? We have to play Abby, the person that tortured and killed Joel, for 10(!!) hours worth of gameplay. 10 hours of Naughty Dog trying to make you like this character. But they are trying way too hard, a lot of it felt off, weird and just wrong. It did not work for me, I still dislike this character.
Personally, I hated every second of it. I get the message: Ellie and Abby are 'the same'. Neither of them is evil, nor entirely good. Blah blah blah...
Naughty Dog deceived (And it was intentional deception, they admitted it!) the players by making you think Ellie and Joel are gonna be the main characters again. And all of a sudden this new character is 'the main guy'.

So you have to play 3 ingame days of Abby and everything you did felt like a big sidequest and had nothing to do with anything. It was just trying to make you like her. In the end she finds her friends dead, killed by Ellie. She is able to hunt them down because Ellie, Tommy and Jesse (A new guy) left the map on the floor. Which is just sooo out of character. Okay, Ellie just killed a pregnant woman and was in shock. But Tommy would NEVER leave the map. Just one example of the many character flows.
Then you are forced to beat the hell out of Ellie, as Abby.
2 hours of gameplay later you beat the hell out of Abby, as Ellie and in the end? No one dies. Ellie just loses everything.

I wanted to write even more but 5000 characters limit.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The first game is my favourite game of all time. Not for the graphics, crafting, enemy AI, shooting mechanics as they were all somewhat flawed, the reason is for the characters and story.

The Last of Us Part 2 has improved its mechanics certainly but the story and treatment of beloved characters is like some sort of parody. I suppose I'm glad Joel was killed of early as he was spared the character destruction Ellie received. Once the funny smart mouthed glimmer of hope in this world, shes become frankly a resentful angry and selfish husk of her former self. Jessie and Lev were the only decent new characters for me.

I don't understand the logic of Abby's decisions at all. Her father wanted to kill Ellie without giving her a choice. Later in the game she cares deeply for 2 people who saved her life, turning on her own to help them. However when Joel saves her she doesn't just kill him, she brutally tortures him, and we are suppose to empathise with this person.

Waited a long time for this game, now I just don't care, but wonder.......................... is this how Naughty Dog wanted people to feel?

Not only was the ending abysmal and unrealistic, but it was also far too predictable from the writing of the entire game. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only reason this game is getting higher than a zero is because it looks good for 1 point and Ellie for the other point. Not only did thus game push social political agendas into almost every character trait in a zombie game, but the story is trying so hard to be different that it just feels disconnected from the actuaL universe it’s in. Taking what we loved about the first game. Which was the bond between Joel and Ellie, and then smashing it with a golf club from this random new character. THEN making me play as the character that i hate that you attempt to force me to like because her dad was killed, which didn’t work btw i felt nothing for Abby right after she killed Jessie. Another character i like. Then you make me play as her for 10+ HOURS to get me to think she’s interesting. She’s not. Lev is just a plot device used to extend the story. It’s a joke of a story. The revenge plot is kinda dull. But since it’s Ellie and even I’m here wanting to kill these people for killing the main character of the first game right off the bat. I could let the revenge motive slide. The ending was terrible. Never in my life have i seen a more unsatisfying ending. 25+ hours of story just for Ellie to change her mind. Your game is trash. The only reason these critics have this game such a good rating was because they are media. And if you include all these elements that people can side with. (Lesbian couples, trash gender children) they’re gonna want to give it a high score so they aren’t bombed on by the groups that associate with them. I don’t have Abby cause she’s buff or a woman i don’t have lev because he’s trans. I hate them because they are incredibly problematic and the things that they choose to do. I don’t feel anything for either of them. Dina and Jesse were good auditions to the cast. But wait Abby killed him out of nowhere. Thus game builds these relationships then rips them away for the sake of the plot out of nowhere. I enjoyed playing as Ellie. However like half this game is Abby so. Not only will i never play this again because of its terrible story and characters, I’ve already returned it and got my refund cause i felt robbed by the whole experience. Please never buy this game. Im an old gamer. im playing games for 20 years now. I dont care for good graphics. When i was a kid i whould imagine the graphics to be good not bad. So that was not a problem. I play games for stories of them. I found last of us and the game was great so i bought the ps3 (i had a old pc). It was brand new with last of us. The game was great really good story good graphics. So i got hyped when the trailer for last of us 2 came out. i was amazed. i thought that the game whoud be great! But it wasnt the case. When the game was released i selled my ps 3 in hopes to buy ps 4 so i can play last of us 2 but before that in my recomended on youtube there was a video named Joels death scene. My favorite character was joel so i thought they were joking so i wathced the video and realised that the game had realistic graphics but as i said it is not soo important to ave nice graphics it is all about the story. so i didnt want to buy the game or install it even if it was free. The story is really fu*ked up and it is so weird to play as a main villian that killed the main character of the first game. i wathced a gameplay and saw that it is not good. these two points are just for the graphics the story is really bad. I wish they ended the sequal at the first game and just leave the Last of us and the last of us left behind. Those games are truly epic and the last of us part 2 just ruins it. It just ruins story adding a she-hulk kill joel in the most stupid way possible. it whould be ok if they make joels death a little bit better. They made him look stupid in the second. It is just cruel to make a beloved caracther just to be killed later on it is just stupid. And the end is just weird. I really wish that the sequal ended on last os us 1 . It ruins the fact that the last of us was my favorite game and i loved joel as a character. Sorry for my bad english im not from England or Us so im sorry Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game fells nextgen when you play but it never answers the questions it made in the end of the first game.

Ellie is desconstructed as the character we loved and become the angry person blinded by revenge that fells shallow during the gameplay, you care about the old characters, like Joel and Tommy, but it just fails to create bonds with the new, and when its about to do it they kill everyone, they don't expand the lore at all, it fells like they needed make a sequel for the money despite don't having a story for it.

The gameplay its good and the graphics are good also, but the E3 2018 looked better.

Played at PS4 Pro, only runs at 1440p30fps, fans are really loud (console cleaned inside 1 month ago) look as good as GOW but runs at half of the resolution and GOW had a 1080p high Fps mode so i don't know what happened

Play if you want a good post apocalyptic game, if you want a sequel to TLoU 1, its very disapointing

    SORRY FOR THE GRAMMAR GUYS

    This is a subjective score.

Objectively this game is a 5

Unfortunately I can't overlook the previous game and this being a continuation of that game

Horrible game. Horrible horrible pacing with a forced political agenda in a non modern apocalyptic setting with plot armor to stop people from despising the disgrace this game did to the first game. The Last of Us 1 was the best game I've ever experienced, and the graphics aren't all that great now when I played it again. This makes a point that insane graphics aren't even important. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can’t believe I waited 4 years only to not play as Ellie! Who on earth thought it would be enjoyable to play as Abby, why on earth would we want to play as the character we hate? Also she is the most lifeless character I’ve ever seen in any game. I bought the game to continue the story from the first one, you literally called it part 2 to continue Joel and Ellie’s story, last time I checked Abby wasn’t in part 1, and speaking of the story who on earth wrote that, you tried to replicate the relationship between Joel and Ellie with Abby and Lev and that did not work at all as both Abby and Lev are such terrible and uninteresting characters. Also what on earth was that ending we didn’t even get to kill Abby! Why would you let her live, or at least give us a choice to kill her or spare her. This game was supposed to be about Ellie why weren’t we told anything about her backstory with her Mum? Why didn’t we see Ellie first meeting Marline? Why did we play as Joel’s killer? Whoever thought that was a good idea for the story should be fired. This game has terrible story structure, and the game overall was way too long.

The gameplay was great I really liked the dodge mechanic that was an outstanding feature, and I love that you can change the reticule to a simple dot as I didn’t really like the old one in the first game, the combat system was great too a good selection of weapons. Gameplay was overall great.

Obviously graphics and gameplay are on point. But this game felt so akward and meaningless and just straight up wierd. Not a fan of what felt like an agenda push instead of a good quality storyline that we could all relate to. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love the Ellie and Joel flashbacks, and moments but it doesn't feel like the last of us. The character we've been waiting years to see died within the first 2 hours, and its like the game laughs at us. Abby was a completely annoying, obnoxious, sloppy, terrible character to play and go against. She kills off our favorite character, Dina (in whom was pregnant) she nearly gets killed, Jesse dies, and Tommy almost dies. The ending itself is in a whole different realm of disappointing, lame, and boring. Making everything seem like it was all for nothing. 2/10 DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Expand

Well, good graphics, good technically, but that's it. Waited years for the part 2 to see JOEL and ELLIE, and they ruined with terrible plot. Ellue was always a smart girl and all of the sudden, they make her dumb... In hopes of making us feel she is bad. The entire plot is forced on us. With forcedand irrational choices. Ellie woul. More Joel, less Abby. Please.

It's just so bad. I loved Last of us but this is just bad. The graphics are good but that doesn't compensate with the bad and illogical writing, and coupled with SJW-washing. It's just sad how political correctness reached gaming.

Worst sequel to a great story! This current game totally ignores the best aspects of its predecessor, by trying to make the gamer involved in a hopeless vengeance tale. Also, there’s a kind of “forced philosophical sense” guiding the whole story. A meaningless death written just to make big impact and generate controversy. What about having to play the killer? Makes no sense after all we lived back in 2013. I was unable to create empathy at any time, I just felt more disgusted ‘bout herself ‘n her allies. Lots of hours playing as Abby... It’s boring. I also think that Druckmann tried to work out feminist guidelines, but it got even worse. A pregnant woman who jumps off buildings and scaffolding, climbs stairs. Hilarious. Humanly impossible. Lots of unnecessary mental subjects to a game that aims to be entertainment. Anything about it is cool. Maybe the gameplay and the graphics, but, what about the most expected story? They ruined it, made the fans hate and feel bad about all the nonsense. Expand

I hated the fact they killed off joel (one of my favourite video game characters), but I was willing to give it a chance because the visuals were amazing, and the gameplay was a lot of fun. If the game was just me playing as ellie seeking revenge I would have given it a 7/10. But I hated playing as abby so much it ruined the experience for me and it was topped off with what was probably the worst ending ever. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly, i was the biggest fan of the last of us series. When waiting 7 Years for this game I was highly disappointed with what I received. The game was absolutely beautiful, Scenes and graphic were on point and we got to play as Ellie so I thought. This game could of been so much better, Storyline was very badly executed. I remember in the teaser trailer of TLOU2 we saw Ellie and Joel in the overgrown town and myself I was very excited thinking it would be a switch from TLOU1 and we play as Ellie with Joel besides us. Naughty dog milked us into thinking Joel would be with us in the story but into the game they killed him off. I was highly displeased with the trailers as they were just for revenue and sales for this game + the Leaks and all the controversy with this game really let it down.

    2. Abby, Like seriously how many people has Joel killed and you don't see some buff women seeking revenge 2 hours in TLOU2. They dedicated too much time for her in this game as she really did not need to be played by the consumers of this game. It would have been better if we had known she was seeking revenge but no game time should of been put into her. The big issue with this game is they were trying to keep up with modern society and the LGBTQ movement. Though I don't have an issue with Ellie and her Sexuality it was a big let down knowing they had 7 years and the s*x scenes were just horrible and uncalled for + with the whole Abby S*x scene it was the worst thing I've ever seen, Far cry had better scenes. The killing of Joel by Abby could of been a very good Plot for the game. It would give Ellie an excuse to seek revenge for everyone that "wronged her" yeah well the Main person that "wronged you" got a jail free card at the end because you felt bad that Joel would not want you to do this but you have killed 200+ people to get where you are.

At the end of the day, the game was somewhat enjoyable the Ai were super realistic and communicative which I enjoyed + the WLF faction and the Seraphites where something I enjoyed being added. But I think there was more fighting in the factions more than Ellie seeking revenge for Abby killing Joel, therefore, me rating it 2/10 from someone that has played the game.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
