    Fantastic graphics as expected. But graphics can only get you so far especially when the story you are telling is so nonsensical. It was as if the writers found some obscure TLOU2 fan fiction online and said to themselves "YES! This is absolutely the story we need to tell! Completely disregard the fantastic story of Joe and Ellie from TLOU!" This is what happens when you inject identityFantastic graphics as expected. But graphics can only get you so far especially when the story you are telling is so nonsensical. It was as if the writers found some obscure TLOU2 fan fiction online and said to themselves "YES! You tend to alienate a good majority of your audience. Why kill off the most beloved character 2-3 hours into the game with absolutely no pay off on the revenge side of things? Little to no interaction between Joel and Ellie besides flashbacks and the golfing scene? I hope your are satisfied, Naughty Dog. Sure, you are going to break sales records with this game and make a crap ton of money. I guarantee going forward your audience is going to be extremely hesitant to pour their hard earned dollars into any sort of media produced by you....… Expand

But the lack of sense in the story in the second part and how stupid and meaningless was treated Joel part in the game(trailers mislead not only me and I call it cheating)shocked me and I just completely lost interest in playing.. The game forces me to play a character that I don't care at all about and later in the game I hate playing it. The ending is a masterpiece in sh.. writing and has no sense whats so ever .Its 8 season of Game of Thrones again but in the game industry. Neil Druckman should NEVER EVER again be a part of any AAA game-period. He destroys one of the best game and story ever created in gaming and for that I hate him from my guts.… Expand

You can see the anguish on Ellie’s face during parts of the game. If you’ve played, you know exactly what I am talking about. The story was a breath of fresh air. I laughed. I cried. The graphics where okay and the gameplay was the same as always which does get old.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Please watch the first few hours of the game before you decide to buy it. This game is what i can only describe as torture p0rn + Jake Skywalker + dany forgot about the iron fleet.

    A lot of the promotiona footage was altered to make you think you are geting Joel but in reality they ither replaced a character that is actually there in the ingame cutscene or "aged up" Joel and Ellie to make it look like it's not a flashback. In reality Joel get's killed in a completly retarded way cause Niel Druckman wanted to make torture p0rn. The rest of the game is all abaut revenge but in the end we don't even get that cause Ellie decides not to kill the golfer that beat Joel to death cause... revege is bad? This is after she killed a ton of other people in her persuit of revenge but she randomly decides that the one who actually killed Joel can live. I'm suuuure this has nothing to do with the fact that Hulk golfer and "deffinitly not Niel Druckman" **** in the game.

    The "game" parts are good so i guess it's technicly better than COD and whatnot but this story deserves a dedicated "storyless mode".

    Overall, this is a bad movie sequal on a good but not amazing game skeleton.

    Plot: 6/10 Here I would like to explain. This is the story of the game and nobody can change it, but I'm pretty sure that almost every player would like to change the ending. I would give 8/10 to the plot, if we were given a choice in the ending.

    Characters: 4/10 The Last of Us had such a great success due to its characters. Players felt and understood every character. I don't understand why every character in the second part is so bad. The only characters who were interesting to me were created and taken from the first part of the game. Sometimes I think of the characters from The Last of Us(game I played 7 years ago) and I remember every person and their stories. They all were unique, some of the stories are sad, others are bright, but I keep them in mind after 7 years of playing the game. I am pretty sure that I will replay the first part of this game. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same words about the second part.
    Feelings: 5/10 This game is great, but I did not feel very good at some moments of the gameplay. I wanted even to stop playing. I smiled sometimes during the gameplay, but those smiling were referred to the flashbacks to the first part of the game. I did not fell satisfied after playing the second part.

    The final verdict: 7-8/10 Yes, that is not what we expected. I took 2-3 points from 10, because of the characters, plot and lack of opportunity to choose the ending. I recommend it for playing for everybody, but you do not have to compare it to the first part. These are two different games, unfortunately, in a bad way.
    Guys, please, do not hate and put low scores to this game. Developers spent a lot of time on working, they do not deserve your hate. As I said, this game do not deserve such a low score. Sorry for my English again.

Первую игру я вспоминаю постоянно даже спустя 7 лет после прохождения. К сожалению, в 2013 году Naughty Dog задала сама себе планку, которую не смогла побить. Игра отличная, но это не то продолжение легендарной первой части, которого мы ожидали. Возможно разработчики думали, что мы любим это серию за геймплэй, но лично я люблю первую часть за ее персонажей. Каждого я могу вспомнить до сих пор и описать его историю. В этой игре такого нет, мне было абсолютно плевать на некоторых важных персонажей, некоторые даже раздражали. Единственные моменты, которые заставили меня любить эту игру и наслаждать ею, это флешбеки к первой части и моменты с персонажами из той же первой части. В остальном эта игра не вытягивает. И да, перекаченные бабы на стероидах, азиаты, лезбианки есть, и добавлены они не для красивой истории... К сожалению, сегодняшняя толерантность превратилась в полнейший абсурд.

In order to make a successful product and be a good content creator, you must find a balance between satisfying your fans and making something in your vision. Too much pandering is bad, but so is not listening to your consumers and dismissing their complaints. Naughty Dog didn't find a balance here. Delivering repetitive, sloggy gameplay, with a story thats needlessly edgy without depth like some thirteen year old girl's rabid fanfiction. Shock value isn't always going to work, it's a cheap circus trick at best and your consumers in a field like the video game industry always have a higher standard than that. This is by far one of the most underwhelming sequels I've witnesses and there's a reason it's getting "review-bombed".… Expand

Porém, consigo entender que o justo seria um seis, péssima escrita de um péssimo produtor. O jogo não é ruim por ideologia de esquerda, mas pela falta de capacidade de quem o fez. xD

    I want to deflect any idiots who would say I'm being homophobic or transphobic. I'm a pansexual trans woman. And it seems the only reason the Naughty Dog zombies can accept for people disliking this game is that they're homophobic/transphobic. Sorry, there's a ton of LGBTQ members who hate this game and would rather not be represented by it.

    The tone is boring and slow. It's not even like comically bad, it's just nothing. In the first 5 hours of gameplay I got to play actual combat maybe 2 or 3 times. Maybe a total of like 30 minutes of combat in 5 hours of gameplay. By 5 hours into the original game you were already in Bill's town for comparison, avoiding his traps and exploring this urban area crawling with runners and clickers.

    And now let's talk about the writing. You can feel Amy Hennig's absence. Ellie is nothing like the old Ellie. I could understand her character changing as she grows older but she lived in a safe environment for years with a normal life. She shouldn't be *MORE* jaded and quiet because of that. She should be more of the goofball she was in the first game. Instead all personality is sucked from her and she's just a blank nothing. I also couldn't tell you a god damn thing about Dina besides she hates coffee and likes weed. No personality what-so-ever. Critikal talked about this in depth and mentioned that there were only 2 characters he actually found interesting and well written in the entire game and I'm inclined to agree. The worst part is it's not any of the playable characters or any of the people that travel with them. So that means 90% of your time playing the game you're just seeing a bunch of cardboard cutouts of what should be interesting characters.

    There are also constant loopholes and the game constantly contradicts its own rules and the rules of the world that have been laid out since TLOU1. I won't explain them in detail because that would be a spoiler, but let's just say that the rules for the infected seem to only matter when Neil thinks they should matter and no other time.

    Graphically it's gorgeous, no duh. It's the end of the ps4's life cycle we're coming up on. If they hadn't figured out graphics by this point I'd be embarrassed for them. But graphics do not a good game make. And that has never been more obvious than TLOU2 which is gorgeous and completely devoid of actual quality in other departments.

    Do I think this game is actualy a 0? No, but some of you people out there have forgotten what this site is for and have even said in your reviews you're only rating it 10 because people are rating it 0. Fine, if that's what you want this to devolve into binary 0's and 10's then I guess I can play that game too. In my mind this game is more of a 5.5 or something. A compete disappointment compared to the original, to be sure, but if it wasn't so pretentious and if Heel **** hadn't been even more pretentious by telling the player how to feel instead of letting us just experience it first and if it didn't have TLOU's name slapped on it and its shoes to fill this would've probably not been so bad.

    TLOU 1 did not need a sequel. The story was wrapped up and ended perfectly. The prequel DLC shed some interesting light on Ellie and that was that. Any sequels should've definitely been completely unrelated stories in other parts of the post apocalypse. Instead they dragged this game's name (and their own) through the mud and ruined both.

    Now let's talk about the worst part. Crunch. This game and its higher ups support employee abuse and are not ashamed to admit it. Heel F**kman even goes so far as to put a villain card of himself in the game trying to justify his actions as pushing the human body to its limits to achieve greatness. No Neil, you're abusing people. You're disgusting and so is everyone else in your company who supports employee abuse. And that's what it is. I'm not calling it Crunch anymore except to clarify what I'm talking about because it's Employee Abuse plain and simple.    … Expand

    Amazing game! The graphics are ridiculously beautiful. The story is complex and poignant. I know some people think the gameplay is clunky but it works for me. I was sad with a certain aspect of the story but honestly expected it from the trailer and it works well with the whole story.

    - abbys forced indoctrination gameplay (speedruning it, regretting it, absolute no care). [why not make it into an extra story or dlc?] - abbys story characters feel like cutouts from 13reasonswhy teenage tv show or some **** like that. Owen, Mel? soulless people with stupid problems. Most interesting part is Levs shaved head lore. - when story needs it, characters we care about get disarmed, jumped and injured in the stupidest ways ever. - Ellie and Joel lost their balls somewhere

    Pros:
    - graphics, sigh
    - Ellie gameplay - great prone, craft mechanics, skirmishes feel great and unpredictable. But does pros really matter anymore? no. TLOUPart2 was supposed to be another masterpiece of a decade 10/10.
    Even without Abbys part it would be just OK 8/10.
    I give it a rating 3/10. But voting 0/10 to conquer the leftist meta agenda :)

    The game is solid 9 I liked it, I had a lot of fun, especially finding all the safes and opening them, guns feel very heavy and strong, the story is good but a bit weird. I think this game is a masterpiece and it is one of my favorites, I recommend it.

TLOU1 was one of the last PS3 titles I ever bought before generation leap, and I loved it. Ellie was a bratty but likable teen girl under the care of Joel was a cautious survivalist that'll kill you in cold blood if you even gave him a whiff of being a hazard to either of them. TLOU1 story was overall enjoyable with generally good themes, and a bitter sweet ending depending on personal feelings on what you'd do in that position. Without giving away too much away about TLOU2, both characters seem like different people all together with awful consequences in the sequel. What's worse is you play as a third character who is 100% unlikable in every way that they try to get you to feel sympathy for despite what she does to Joel and Ellie early on. Then when it's all over, you feel absolutely zero satisfaction, the game's plot ends just as senselessly as it began. Sony's first party single player exclusives get criticized as "movies not games" which isn't entirely unfair, but usually the story is at least at a movie level of quality so you enjoy them anyway. This one's gameplay is just the first game's rinsed off and presented to us again with slapped on gimmicks like dogs. Which would be fine if the story wasn't one of the worse ever in a modern videogame. I can't honestly think of a single story between 2006 and now that I hate more. What a disaster. I'm giving the game a 3 because there is nothing redeeming about it other than it's visuals and that'll be short lived with next gen around the corner. I'd probably rate it higher if Sony and Naughty Dog weren't so toxic and misleading about the game.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So first of all what the actual f?#! This game is pathetic beyond comprehension and not only the game itself but the company surrounding and handling the situation as well.

    It all started with the copyright strikes on youtube channels that LITERALLY DID NOT SHOW OR TALK ABOUT LEAKS. That was the first red flag that I caught and I was like "weird why would sony and naughty dog do that for what reason?". After that the full game is released and what do I get to see? Joel's cutscene was actually altered to look like Joel played bigger part in the game than he actually did. I'd like to think that this was not delibarete, however it sure was a second red flag for this game.

    Next I go to review sites and ironically this site was in my eyesight too where I see a lot of 100's or 10/10 respectively of the site, critic reviews which was another red flag for me. You cannot make me believe that this game or for that manner any game deserves perfect score. I'm sure that somewhere, something could have been improved at least a little bit which would have ultimately change the review to 9.0 or 9.5 or 99/98/97 you get the idea. There is no doubt that this game has a lot of review bombing on the user reviews however let's also acknowledge that there has been review bombing on both sides. Moreover, it happens so that the game was gifted to me so I was like what the hell why not I'll give it a go even though I knew about the leaks at the time (but I did not know how it ended).

    Two hours into the game Joel was hilariously killed, in a situation where he finds people he does not know. He just so decides that after all these years of experience in apocaliptic survival, and everything that caused him traumatic pain that he would give out his name to some strangers. After that well a character called "Abby" shoots Joel with a shotgun to the legs and proceeds to hit him with a golf stick. Meanwhile, Ellie finds what happens and tries to save Joel but is held to the ground and made to watch how Abby kills Joel in the most pathetic dishonorable way of all with a golf stick. After this the game is straight up trying to prove to you that "Revenbe - Bad, don't kill, revenge not good, don't do revenge" by basically pulling up the card pregnancy and animals while you play as Ellie 3 times (I think it might be more) just to make you feel bad that you killed this woman because "ooops she was pregnant see revenge is bad now!" or the same with animals.

    This was the most pathetic story I've ever seen in my entire life, I kid you not a child can tell you a better story with the toys it has. Moreover, you get to the end after all the killing and the revenge where you (as the player Ellie) are emotionally and time invested in this game for ~20 hours. You try to kill Abby (the person that killed Joel) when a flashback of Joel changes the mind of Ellie in a cutscene leaving her in a state where she forgot about the fight. In these precious seconds Abby bites off 2 fingers off of Ellie's hand leaving her impossible to play a gutiar ever again. After that Ellie is leaving Abby to go and does LITTERALLY NOTHING. WHAT was the poing of a revenge plot if Ellie was not even given the option to kill ABBY ????

    For a game that was 7 years in development, coming out as the same gameplay from 7 years ago, and being a story driven game should be judged mostly for the story hence why I give it a 0 because from any standpoint, it does not make any sense. Greaphycally there is a jump but come on how can you compare 7 years of development and say this game is better when TLOU1 is much more better in my eyes after this bullsh?!    … Expand

This games starts very brilliantly and at the same time, it shows a big heartbreaking scene. While you play as Ellie to try to avenge Joel, you will be given the chance to experience flashbacks of their recent past, between the first game and the his death. Those scenes were, in my opinion, the most realistic and the best part of the game. My favorite part was when joel surprises Ellie at her birthday, and i think i don't need to explain why. The song he wrote was beautiful and i shared some tears when ellie sang them after the event. The graphics are utterly unexplainable, they look next gen and i have no idea how my ps4 managed to run that and so well... I did my best to avoid spoilers, and that is obviously the main reason of this scores, because most people didn't give it the chance it so well deserved. I loved the introduction of Ellie's new friends and girlfriend, Dina, and even though i wished of Abby's death, i enjoyed playing as her and it made sense, she had her own reasons, almost as close to Ellie's. The message of the story is perfectly executed, in the end, both lost so much more while seeking revenge, and the final scene shows the realistic father daughter bond between Ellie and Joel. When she remembers how Joel brought light to her life, she knew that killing wouldn't have been the solution, after losing so much, she understood that revenge wasn't what Joel would have wanted her to do. The only thing i wished this game changed was reducing the war between the Wolves and the Seraphites, where it could be focusing more on Abby's story and connection to Ellie's path because i generally didn't really care about the seraphites, but that's just a small part of this unbelievable game. The game was indeed perfect and managed to become even better than it's predecessor, so i can only recommend everyone to experience this amazing and beautiful game by themselves. I score this a solid 100/100.… Expand

I enjoyed Last of Us 1 and went in this game after having read the story leaks a few months back. Even with that, I did enjoy the game. The combat amd visuals really deserve praising, the way AI is created to simulate real people blew me away as I was disgusted by myself when shotguning enemies' arms just to hear them scream.. And with that aside.. Yes there are one dimensional charachter moments in this game and there are forced story decisions in this game and the ending is kinda dumbly executed, and the game ia guilty of pushing cringe romance moments that you dony wanna see.. But even with all that, the game is able to recreate a believable apocalyptic world with peoplr in it mostly scum that are trying to survive by any means necessary. There are also a few beautiful Joel/Ellie moments that everyone will be able to appreciate and even though the game is mainly based on Ellie being blindly hateful and making forced decisions based on trauma.. If you look for it, Ellie and Joel's connection is strongly embodied in the game ^^… Expand

    The story destroyed this game. I’m sad beyond belief. The Graphic is top notch and the same with the gameplay, but the story....... Waited so long and now they bring us this? Just so sad. The second part of the game when you play as “the other” character was just so bad that you just wanted to rush trough that whole thing. So sad.

    If you're looking for a simple narrative and a nice warm feeling at the end that's not what you're going to find here. The game is brutal - both the gameplay and the story. I can see what they were trying to do with the story and while I appreciate the ambition, I don't think it quite achieves what it was trying for. That doesn't mean it's bad, it just doesn't quite hit the mark. Shortly after the second half of the game starts you'll understand what they're trying to achieve with that section - but at that stage you already know how that part ends so it really drags. They could have achieved the same thing in half the time and the game would have been better if they had.

    If you actually play the game through with no spoilers the ending does make sense given what the characters have gone through.

    Technically the game is a masterpiece - graphics, sound etc. are all fantastic. At least everyone can agree on that.

    I can't say that I loved this game like I did the first - it certainly has its flaws. But I did like it a lot and I appreciate it for everything it achieves.    … Expand

For an example the game uses pregnancy for shock no less than 3 times throughout the experience and a lot of the decisions the pre established characters from the first game make feel unnecessarily off character. And I say its unnecessary because characters in my opinion are allowed to brake their mold because humans are unpredictable in nature but there is a certain respect you must have for characters especially when killing a character like Joel who is known to be extremely tough to kill, I don't even care why he was killed, but that the set up to how he was killed does not seem believable given what we have seen of him before this moment. The game still offers slight moments of what the first game brought to the table but with all that, The enemy ai being extremely poor and the gameplay quickly feeling stale. I can't help but regrettably give this a zero as the final product feels like a beautifully rushed mess with an uttermost disregard for the story laid before it.… Expand

Outside of this game being gorgeously rendered and designed, outside of the smooth and addictive gameplay, the powerful acting, and yes, AWESOME story and writing, this game challenges the player like no other to second-guess their feelings and provides nuanced, multifaceted views on the nature of vengeance, mourning, murder, and how mindless anger can cloud one’s judgment. This is not a happy game; if you allow yourself to become invested in the various characters, there’s a lot of painful payoffs, but it’s an essential piece of art in a medium that yearns for new stories and creative ways to tell them. This game will mess you up and make you feel things, and even if one of those things is anger, that’s okay. A must-play, and a game of the decade contender already.… Expand

    La Gráfica es Impecable, paisajes que te sacan el aliento, ambiente sonoro que te transporta a este mundo post apocalíptico , pero teniendo en cuenta que es un juego el cual no guía la historia y dado que la historia parece que la sacaron de un fan fiction de las profundas oscuridades de tumblr no es algo que se pueda disfrutar, hay muchos vacíos en la historia sin contar que hubo momentos en los cuales simplemente era aburrido jugarlo, tentado a dejar el juego sin terminar logre terminarlo solo para llevarme la sorpresa amarga de un final desagradable a falta de una mejor palabra.

La gran mayoría que jugó el 1 se encariño con la dupla y ahora se empeñaron en hacerlo cagada. El apartado visual y sonoro es impecable, el gameplay es muy similar a su precuela, una jugada muy segura con ligera variación, si no está roto no lo repares. Pero es una vergüenza como sitios patrocinados por sony como atomix y el descaro de tweets de asher patrocinados estén haciendo menos lo que más importa, son casi 10 horas de cinemas, ¿creen que la historia no importa?… Expand

    Эта игра, я бы сказал с действительно сложным сюжетом, который может разочаровать многих фанатов первой части. И тут надо или смириться с произошедшем, или с пеной у рта орать какая игра это гавно (что ошибочно). Большинству людей, очень трудно будет это принять, но такие вещи случаются в зомби-апокалипсис. Концовка, я бы не сказал, что меня она разочаровала, но сценаристы поступили не совсем правильно. Всю игру беспощадно расправлялись с персонажами, а под конец, решили все перевернуть. (Я так странно выражаюсь, чтобы не заспойлерить). Как ни странно, у Naughty Dog получилось даже заставить меня сопереживать Эбби, главному противнику Элли, хотя и огромная количество геймплея за неё, выглядит как филлер. Я хочу видеть противостояние Элли и Эбби, а меня на самом интересном месте прерывают и говорят - иди туда, надо помочь этим персонажам, которые лишь косвенно влияют на историю. И я несколько часов занимаюсь всем, но не тем, что хотел бы видеть. Очень спорное решение студии, которое многих может оттолкнуть. Феминизма и СЖВ повестки в игре минимальное количество. Элли и Дина да, ЛГБТ пара, но в этом ничего такого серьезного нет. Был момент, что девушки даже не смогли открыть банку с травой (пропаганда слабых женщин?).Есть один персонаж вроде бы девочка, но для всех он мальчик (но надо отдать должное студии - это выглядит даже лаконично, никак не влияет на атмосферу игры и не выглядит через чур глупым). Есть сцена гетеросексуального секса - и она очень откровенная, но... боже, из-за физического сложения персонажа, она выглядит не возбуждающи. Главная проблема, как по мне - это то, как выглядит Эбби. За нее мы играем примерно треть игры ( я прошел за 25-26 часов, и 8 часов там играл за Эбби). Честно говоря, мне было не очень было приятно играть за девушку, сложенную как бодибилдер (хотя и в игре нам объясняют как она пришла к такому состоянию). Если она выглядела более привлекательной, хотя бы не такой раскаченной, играть было бы гораздо комфортнее. Многим подорвало пердачелло с того - что как они могут так сливать персонажей!? Ну тут у меня есть ответ, даже Дина об этом упоминает под конец игры - эти персонажи тоже люди, в этом жестоком мире пост-апокалипсиса, они просто мешки с мясом и костями, они умирают точно так же, как и сами убивали. То есть, проходя игру за Элли, я убил от 40 до 100 человек, и некоторые из них появлялись в компании Эбби, у них были диалоги, шутки, семьи, они были живыми, их показали такими же людьми, как команда Джексона Томми, Мария, Джоел, Дина, Элли.     The Last of Us stands out as one of my favourite games of all time. This is almost entirely because of how expertly crafted the story and characters are. As it is such a story driven game, that was the key to its success. I fell in love with those characters and their bond. The Last Of Us 2 is the literal antithesis of that.

    I don't know as I don't follow this sort of information, but, I feel like The Last of Us 2 was written by a separate team of people to the first game? And if I didn't know any better, I'd also assume that the people who wrote this game hated the first game or at the very least hated the people who wrote it? It feels like, ironically, the writers of this game getting revenge on the writers of the first. If you've played the game, I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about.

    I was beside myself with excitement when The Last of Us 2 was first announced, and we've patiently waited to play it for years since then. I avoided spoilers as best I could, even though I heard people were not pleased with what they had seen. But now having experienced the game... I wish it was never made, and that The Last of Us was still just a standalone title. I'm so disappointed.

    The positives are:

    + The graphics. This has got to be the best looking game of this console generation so far. I absolutely adore the way this game looks. Graphically speaking, you can see and almost feel the love and care that has gone into producing this.

    + The world/environment. I wish it wasn't *quite* so linear at times, but the detail and beauty of most of the scenes in this game is, again, probably the best we've seen this console generation.

    + The interaction. Whether character to character, or interacting with the world itself, there is an awesome dynamic feeling to everything. Little things like the brilliant physics of a rope, and layers and layers of other such details give such an amazing feeling of interaction with the game.

    + Sound. Play the game with earphones, honestly, you owe it to yourself. I've experienced sound like this in some PC titles, but never in a console game. A huge step forward in sound for console games. Especially the environmental sounds, which lend massively to the immersion of the game.

    Something I thought was satisfactory.

    ~ The gameplay. I enjoyed The Last of Us gameplay back in 2013, it felt very good for a game of that time. However, with The Last of Us 2, although it is undeniably better than the first game, it hasn't advanced from 2013 as much as other games have in this regard. The controls, especially for gun fighting do feel somewhat dated. And the puzzle solving hasn't moved on from the first game, it's not particularly interesting to play in terms of that side of things - it's neither bad, nor particularly good.

    Now for what I didn't like (read absolutely hated):

    - The story. The Last of Us is a story driven game. One with one of the best stories of all time in a video game, by my reckoning. The Last of Us 2 has an absolutely woeful story, and it isn't even well told either. It's a tired old story about revenge, and it's told to the player by bouncing around, in a really out of order seeming way, between various characters and flashbacks. There were large parts of the game that were massively drawn out, for no reason, as the story payoff at the end was not nearly as important as the amount of play time dedicated to it would dictate. The direction the story takes seems like a spit in the face of anyone who loved the first game for its story and characters, which lets face it, all of us did. I found myself shouting at the screen at some moment, knowing I just watched characters I love take actions that are antithetical to their very nature, if the first game is to mean anything at all. I got angry while playing this, genuinely angry, and not in the way the game is meant to make you feel angry, I don't think.

    - The characters. The Last of Us is a story about Joel and Ellie, and their growing bond. If you like that version of Joel and Ellie, do not purchase this game. The writers of this game apparently don't like those characters, and instead like their own characters who are inserted into the game without any care taken whatsoever to help the player feel any kind of empathy for them. I do not want to play as the character you force me to play as. Most other characters are totally one dimensional and dispensable. The exact opposite of the first game.

    - The ending. Everything you do in the game, everyone who dies, every quest you complete. It's for nothing. The ending is so infuriatingly disappointing, that it was the final nail in the coffin of the idea that I might ever play the game again.

    The worst thing about this game, is that knowing it exists actually tarnishes the first game for me. I'm a little scared to play the original game again, now, knowing this is ultimately how things end up. I've never wanted to "un-play" a game so much in my life.    … Expand

Game was good everybody acting like they never seen they main character die before some just hating on the game for clout and cause its cool to do right now the game story not bad at all same people that hate the game cant stop talking about it, Interesting. Joel made a choice that came back to haunt him later on down the line it happens in life people just dont want to exept it and are judging the whole 30+ hour game off one scene ignoring all the hard 7 years of work that went into making this game for people shows how ungrateful the community is… Expand
