I would definitely suggest playing it if you like the first game. The ending might be controversial but no one can say it was not earned. Its a worthy sequel.

Motivations of characters make no sense, game play hasn't evolved in the last decade, false advertising from the trailers, game was WAY too long with too much filler, Abby wasn't needed, focus on Ellie.

Oh, it looks pretty though... 2/10

First off, Joel is an Anti-hero. The first game was NEVER wholly Joel's story and he was not some beloved character. This ain't Disney. He was a deeply flawed man that made a choice that had severe consequences. He created a vicious cycle with the choices he made. Part 2, even with having to play Abby, was a beautifully told story with super strong themes. Yes, the gameplay was sometimes repetitive and not perfect, but the STORY is, in my honest opinion, a masterpiece. I honestly believe this.

I didn't hate Abby. It was made clear that these two (Ellie and Abby), in another life, could have been very very good friends. We had 2 protagonists and 2 antagonists. As for Joel; this is how life goes. Joel didn't die a magnificent death, and if you thought he should have, then you haven't been playing and understanding how the world of the Last of Us works. Majority of people don't get to die gloriously; look at every other death in the game -no matter the character. Death is sudden and always unexpected, and it's still miserably hard even when it's not.

The Last of Us 2 is NOT a bad game. People who think this game is bad just because Joel dies or dies commonly can't see the whole picture, or simply don't care to dig deeper to understand and accept it. It's not a revenge story. It's a story about love, hate, loss, and letting go in order to begin healing. It's about grief. And it hits so damn hard. It's about figuring out what it's like to lose parts of yourself and learning how to heal and cope with that. It's about choosing to end a very viscous cycle of selfishness.

On the highest difficulty to me, even with the tedious flashbacks, the gameplay was a solid 7.5/10 for me. I had FUN. The story, however, was a 10/10. It wrecked me. Well done, Naughty Dog. I don't know about the plans for DLC or if there will be future installments, but you bet your bottom dollar I will be one of the ones to purchase whatever is to come.

As a huge fan of the first game, this left me feeling absolutely hollow and disappointed at the end. I haven't felt this disappointed in a game since I finished mass effect 3. They never gave me a reason to feel anything but hate towards Abby, and the last 10 hours of the game were a slog. I'd recommend staying faaar away from this burnt turd of a game.

And when I say by the time I finished the game I wanted to rip my finger nails out, I mean it. The story is completely redundant in it's morals, The new character and antagonist Abby does not have good or valid character building and I don't like how the producers expect us to like her and take her side. There was a story we didn't necessarily didn't get to see with Joel and Ellie, y'know that we kinda built since the first game to just have it torn away and be something we'll never have. Most character death's besides a really big one and someone else just don't feel emotional at all. What the hell Naughtydog? I want my money back! Expand

The Last of Us 2 is an improvement from its predecessor in gameplay, narrative and story. It expands on the original world set in the first game by introducing factions and characters that are fascinating to learn about. Naughty Dog have done an excellent job in making the player want to learn more about the world itself and the characters within.

The story is expertly written and in many ways quite daring. It breaks away from traditional storytelling seen in most games and gets you emotionally involved in many of the new characters Last of Us 2 has to offer. Many of these characters are written in such a way that you might and probably will dislike them at first, but over time you will feel emotionally invested in a lot of the characters within Last of Us 2.

As for the gameplay Naughty Dogs have improved upon the first title by adding important features such as being able to get your human enemies to fight the infected, or better yet the infected to fight your human enemies. The combat can also be frantic and you might find yourself hiding under tall grass to escape enemies only to re-emerge and throw a Molotov at a group that was chasing you only moments before.

You may have seen some controversy surrounding the game. Ignore a lot of the low user reviews for The Last of Us 2. A lot of the complaints are about the story from people who have not touched the game itself and instead have read a bullet point list of the story without any of its complexities.

As always stick with game reviewers you trust to form an opinion before buying. I personally recommend Easy Allies review on the game.

Naughty Dogs have kicked it out of the park with another finely crafted game. It's a shame that a large amount of the negative reviews are from "critics" who have never even bothered to pick up the controller.

I hate spoilers so I avoided any and all trailers, reviews and leaks and it paid off. The Last of Us Part 2 surpassed the first and was a fantastic story and game. I can understand the feelings of some people being upset with events that happened in the story that Naughty Dog delivered but to me it was amazing. I was connected to Joel and what happened to him was gut wrenching and tragic and you want the people responsible to pay. However ND creates conflict in you by putting you in control of Abby and you get to see a great character development driven story. She’s not this evil, revenge driven brat that you originally thought and it’s so good. I was extremely happy with the outcome. Sure I miss Joel, but he is not absent from the game. I highly recommend it after you play the first. Don’t judge it before you play it, which is what most people are doing on here. It’s worth the time and money to see such a great story with great characters. And just like Game of Thrones, don’t get too attached to anyone. Expand

The crafting and weapon upgrades have also been massively improved, offering a wider selection of skills and abilities so you can really mix up the gameplay, it's incapable of becoming stale.

Level design Is second to none here, players are heavily rewarded for their exploration and the areas are so big it is one step away from being a true open world. I've lost count of the amount of times i've finished a fight and then saw another piece of terrain I could have used and wanted to re-do the fight again.

The story is absolutely fantastic, we can truly see the motivations of each side of the argument and are reminded that there is no such thing as good and bad in this world. Abbys plight is as important as Ellie's but there is also things to be learnt on both sides. Abby is a fantastic character with much the same motivations as Ellie and it's really interesting to see the story play out from both sides.

I honestly couldn't recommend this game enough. Fans of the original will find all the same mini interactions and attention to detail that they loved in the first game, mixed in with a satisfying update to the combat and a thrilling story that will leave you bloodthirsty.

    10/10 a must play.

The story ugh the story from the beginning i didn't know what to expect, but as i played through the opening i started to realize joel and Tommy seemed a bit off putting i didn't know why until a certain thing happened that put them in a situation that the Joel from the first game would have never been out in ever. And that decision was very off putting, not the result of what happened to him but the context of how he got in the situation. Making ellie unlikable also hurt the story. Pushing new characters to the front that, a. We have no history with and b. Are no where near as interesting as the original cast kills it for me. And to not have payoff at the end was disappointing i dont need a philosophy lesson when i'm gaming. I understand violence and revenge is wrong. I avoided spoilers, was prepared to hurt, and confident that even if TLoU II wasn’t as good as the first one, there would be things I would enjoy about it and the story would be amazing if not utterly devastating. I adored the first game and couldn’t even imagine the sequel being anything close to something I could hate. This was especially true as I watched one critic review after another glorify the game to no end and declare that what ND had produced was a near “flawless masterpiece”.
Now, after investing nearly 30 hours into the game and throughly processing my thoughts and emotions, I can only wonder if I even played the same game as these other people. The Last of Us Part II is visually beautiful and has a play style that is enjoyable and reminiscent of it’s predecessor, the unoriginal mechanics have improved little over the last 7 years and have only a few things about them to make the game stand out. The redundant encounters along with lack of customization and rewards for exploration however are unable to compensate for the one-dimensional story-line that is overly predictable and made worse by a cringe worthy set of new characters who bog down the emotional impact ND seems to have so miserably failed to deliver. It’s crazy to me, that such a long campaign somehow manages to feel so extremely rushed, thrown together, and chaotic all at the same time. And while there are a few tear jerker moments and a handful of new faces that did have incredible potential (Jesse & Dina for example are fantastic) they are all put on the back-burner or severely outweighed by piles of uninteresting and poorly developed chapters centered on highly unlikable characters like Abby, who take a tremendous amount of effort to connect with at all. This factor is so overwhelming that it makes it difficult to grasp how anyone could possibly finish the game and say with a straight face they thought this is in any way, shape, or form a satisfying journey or conclusion.
I also find it completely idiotic that anyone believes that the issue with this game is some kind of a “SJW agenda”. Ellie’s sexuality, and the few other diverse mentions, can hardly be classified as a distraction or negative to the game. I actually found her relationship with Dina to be very endearing and one of the few story points I liked. I was even excited to see such a diverse cast, but being that all LGBTQ+ and characters of color here are disgustingly mistreated—either dying anti-climatically/horribly, barely used, quickly forgotten, and/or have endings so miserable its a struggle to understand why they were added at all.
The Last of Us 2 makes it easy to feel lost.
Nothing about this sequel brings closure and the only thing you’ll be wondering after you’ve finished it is “what was the the point?”
The concept of “revenge wrRoNg” is a lesson that could be taught from Disney children’s show’s or derived from common sense and yet Naughty Dog chose to spend their entire time stating the obvious through uneventful means, frustrating and un-engaging story-telling, and by spitting on the very shades of grey choices and characters that once made this series great.
I wish that I could say that the handful of good moments this game has made the time and money you could spend on it worth while....but the best way to describe this entire experience would be disappointing and pointless...Like GoT or the Star Wars sequels you feel like you have to finish it to the end (if you can even force yourself to do so—which, for me literally felt like an effort at times) but once you do, you just wish you had saved yourself the trouble. While it’s great to subvert fan expectations and introduce twists and turns throughout the plot, such decisions need to be executed properly and in the correct order; not wildly smashed together with under-developed story additions and highlighted by empty deaths scenes that do little other than provide shock value...another trait that has already been done repeatedly and much better. I feel like users that see no problem with TLoU2 are like individuals who insist that The Last Jedi is “misunderstood” and fans “just need to embrace different ideas” sounding like you are listening to a self-proclaimed “intellectual” that trying to convince us that **** flung at the wall is somehow “art” when in reality it really just is...actual **** Sometimes, being “different” for the sake of being different isn’t artistic, it’s just distasteful and lazy.
I respect and encourage anyone willing to play the game to decide for themselves how they feel about it as simply reading a synopsis does not give a complete picture/warrant a full review...but, the warnings that there is a good chance this game will leave you feeling like you wish you could just take a hot shower and forget everything you just witnessed are not far off. Overall score: 3/10

Miraculously, I managed to avoid the leaks and any information outside of the official trailers. So any impression was purely based on my experience with the game.

I waited 7 years for this game, and I'm left disappointed and heartbroken. I really wanted to like it. I thought people that were upset were simply immature. I was wrong. This is a game that tries too hard to be smart. It is not profound. It is not deep. It does not require you to think deeply about the themes, it bashes you over the head with it. The Last of Us Part II is a very good example of what happens when themes overtakes storytelling instead of elevating it.

I'm giving this a 6/10. 5 of that is for it being a technical marvel. 1 for having a promising start.

The gameplay is solid. It's nothing new, so if you loved the gameplay from the first one, you will love it in this one. However, it became repetitive when you start to get 3/4 of the way. Notable zombie boss fights that was frantic and enjoyable.

Graphics looks great. Seattle provides an incredible backdrop to the bleak story and the atmosphere puts you in a tense emotion by providing great lighting. Subtle character expression is visible and provides an additional depth to the incredible acting by the actors.

Unfortunately, the story is where it all falls apart. It had a promising start, but began to waste your time halfway through. It's a 10-hour journey stretched out to 25. The premise is that Ellie began her journey of revenge after a traumatic tragedy. However, it has been intentionally left out that the person responsible for that traumatic tragedy is a playable main character and you will spend at least 10 hours as that person. To anyone intending to buy this to have more Joel and Ellie adventure, don't. You have been misled by the trailers and interviews. This is not a Joel and Ellie adventure, it is barely an Ellie adventure.

Instead, it is a showcase of what the cycle of revenge and violence will cost a person. Stripped down to its core theme, The Last of Us Part II sends the message that "revenge is bad". Yet it does not respect the players enough to let them discern it themselves by writing and telling a compelling and emotional story. The message is instead shoved down the players' throat for 25 hours to ensure that the message is there, at the expensive of proper storytelling. The structure is a mess. The first half built up to a tense moment, leaving it at a cliffhanger to bring the tension back down as they rewound time. Horrid decision and completely destroyed any tension that existed.

Characters continually make decisions that is out of character. It was very difficult to relate or agree with the decisions my main characters were making. This deviance from established characterisation were mostly unexplained. Coincidences and cheap plot devices were used to move the story forward. Further, the story continuously hid information from the player with the intention of 'surprising' them with it later on. Compared to the strong cast of characters from the first game, the characters in the second one is very weak and forgettable.

The first game had a relatively generic story. It was Joel and Ellie's relationship as well as the incredible supporting cast of characters that elevated the story. My difficulty to relate and connect with any of the characters is a large reason as to why the game fell flat. I do not understand why the reviews have been calling this a perfect game. It is far from that. Does it deserve a 0 or a 1? Not necessarily. But there are certainly better games out there that does not waste your time for 25 hours.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Played The Last of Us part 1, the story and characters were the key part of the experience for me. For this type of game good graphic and a smooth interface are secondary to a well written story and character development. To see such poor writing of The Last of Us part II story, making the main character basically an NPC and killing him off in the first 2 hours while the introducing a new character that has no remediable values and making the player play this character is just an insult to the paying customer. Then there are the plot holes and pathetic ending. Who wrote this garbage. Add to this Naughty Dog false advertising to sell the game. TLoU part 2 is just trash. Expand

I beat the game in 32 hours in a long weekend and I have to say: yes, it is not what I was expecting, yes, it sometimes can feel too long and yes, some twists are brutal.... but... this is THE LAST OF US 2. Epic in every way possible.
Thanks Naughty Dog for doing this, I can't imagine anybody out there taking this risk and doing it with this care. Don't stop.

I will give it points for the graphics and general production values. Otherwise the game itself is hardly an evolution on the original. The worst part is the writing which is really a slap in the face if you wanted a real continuation of the first game. The worst part is that the game's director has a self insert character that has sex with the protagonist. Avoid this game if you can.

Had mixed feelings about this game it was very controversial I think it turned at better than I thought there were some parts that could have been better like the Abby part like how you waste time trying to save Yara but she dies and how the the story between her and Ellie are not really connected apart from her friends. But the end really got me because I think the theme of this game showed revenge and forgiveness. This game showed that vengeance is not good Abby took that road and she lost all her friends. Ellie also took that road and lost a life with Dina but saw that it would just lead to more suffering. How Ellie was able to forgive Abby for what she did and when she wanted to try to forgive Joel. Joel's death was not dumb it's what we all saw coming anyway it what motivates Ellie to get her revenge therefore making this game. Gameplay is great especially on the hardest difficulty. Great game but is not as bad as people say. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So please let me say this to start. This review will contain MAJOR SPOILERS for this game. If you don't want to know what happens or haven't played it, then please don't read this or any reviews that say this too. Now onto my review of this game. I'm giving this game a zero and I would like to give you my opinion as to why I'm scoring it this low. First, I would like to start off by commenting on that controversial trailer that a lot of people, myself included, are mad about. First Naughty Dog puts out a trailer that deliberately has Joel, a much loved and beloved character in this franchise, in a scene where he seems to rescue Ellie and states to her, "What, do you think I'd let you do this alone." At that moment so many of us were relieved to see that he was alive and well and it gave us the hope and assumption that he would be in the game and that we would be able to play as him or at least go on an adventure with him and Ellie again. Sadly, this was not the case by far and the trailer IMO was an absolute lie to deceive players in thinking he was in the game and had a much better and different role than what he did. Joel gets killed a little after two hours, that's right, a whole two hours into the game, and dies a vey ugly and violent death. You never get to play as him, use him in any way and they (Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog) completely abandon this great character and just spit on him, both in the game and with their writing, to push him aside to promote other SJW and political agendas.

You play as Ellie for most of the game and yes, the graphics are the best I've ever seen, the voice acting is excellent and I actually had some fun playing as her. The problem I have is that the game seems to drag on a little too much for my taste, seems redundant in gameplay by doing the same tasks over and over again and just isn't was fun as the first game. The Ellie we knew is dead and buried and we get a very angry, somber and not so funny Ellie as we loved from the first game. I actually don't mind this as I understand that time and bad situations can and will change people. Ellie is a badass and kills a lot of people in her quest to find Joel's killer and avenge him.

You do get to meet new characters along the way and IMO they are nowhere near as charismatic and interesting as any character in the first game. Bill, was hysterical as the wise cracking, badass acquaintance of Joel and in this game, we get boring, uninteresting characters who you don't connect with as emotionally as any character from the first one.

The worst of which is Abby. She is the one who kills Joel and everything from how she was designed, her personality and how they just jammed this character down our throats was just way off. You don't once, not once get to play as Joel, Tommy or even a dog, but are force around the 15th hour into this game to play as her for a very long time. The director, Neil Druckmann, in doing this tries to get you to understand her point of view in killing Joel and tries so desperately to make us sympathize with her, but fails miserably. Once Joel dies, we didn't even want to continue playing as the shock, anger and overall confusion just killed our interest in this game. I played on because I wanted to give the game a fair chance but just couldn't do it anymore as they forced us to play as Abby. So many people are upset about this and I understand why. The game is all about revenge and in the end, Ellie doesn't even kill Abby, but lets her go, just walk away free and clear and it makes the whole game pointless.

You spend hours and hours playing this game, killing hundreds of people to avenge Joel and in the end, they say who cares and just abandon the story altogether. The writing, character development, and plot and so much of this game was wasted by bad writers and a director who clearly lost his way. Neil Druckmann with his own words said that the heart of the Last of Us was all about Joel and Ellie. He said the relationship was the center and they would never do anything to break that bond and he lied. He flat out lied and gave us an horrendous and watered down story to push his own political beliefs and agenda. No men allowed and female empowerment all of the way. You never once play as a man in this game, but play as Ellie, who is awesome and then Abby, who no one cares about. He panders to SJW culture and caters to them but not all of the players and everyone who loves the last of us. This game gets a zero because of that. They abandoned Joel's character and every great thing they did with him and just cast him aside like he never mattered; all to put the spotlight on Ellie and other characters who never come close to Joel. This isn't me hating on women or anything like that, but me hating on people pushing their agendas down peoples throats and giving us no choice but to like it. They lied in their advertising and failed in this game. Don't buy it or play it if you loved the first game.

It's a game that takes many bold risks, which I find hard not to admire. Naughty Dog could have easily phoned in a sequel to try and please everyone, yet its decision to take the narrative in an unpredictable direction almost immediately and fully commit to it without compromising is very respectable.

However, the narrative is not without its flaws. My biggest issue with it is the pacing. With a shift in perspective around halfway through, the narrative momentum completely crashes and the game begins to feel very long. By the time the end does come, it feels like it could have been cut short by at least 4 or 5 hours.

I can't find many criticisms for the gameplay, as I feel it improved upon the first game in every way. While the gameplay is pretty much the same, it is more refined and polished. The acting is also fantastic across the board, with Laura Bailey standing out to me as the highlight. It's not easy to take such a controversial role on, but she knocked it out the park.

Overall, this is not as good as the first game - which was more focussed and its message more relatable - but I have to respect this sequel for its sheer audacity for not following what was expected of it. The creators had a story to tell, and they told it. That takes balls.

As for the combat it's slight improvements don't define the game either, but that's just because this is a story driven game. It's nothing special, has a few exciting moments a few boring moments. It's more about personal preference than anything. I personally didn't like it because I prefer my enemy AI to feel at least slightly human.
    As for the story...
I hated it, as someone who has enjoyed stories that look into the human condition, this really saddens me. Every character's personality and characteristics get messed with so often just to fit neatly into the story the writers want to tell in the way they wanted to tell it that at some point they stopped feeling like people and just puppets. The game focuses on ethics but only with characters important to the story, you will shoot, murder, and kill your way through dozens of people who are probably fathers, mothers, sisters, and brothers but the story only cares about the one featured in a cutscene.
One moment your blasting your way through enemy after enemy like doomguy, the next moment you're Shinji from ******* Neon Genesis Evangelion.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

I understand it is not a game for everyone, however: it has an intensely harrowing and emotionally shattering story that may seem like a departure from the first game and is dependent on the player becoming at least somewhat empathetic to a certain character which may not click for everybody. Furthermore, the pacing of the story beats can be questionable at times, and could have been presented in a more succinct manner.

That being said, the production is stunning. From the graphical fidelity and meticulous attention to realism and detail to the breath-taking cinematography. It is a gorgeous marvel of a videogame. The acting is the best in the medium, as is the the musical composition by oscar-winning Gustavo Santaolalla. The sound design is phenomenal and really immerses the player into the bleak and haunting post-apocalyptic world of The Last of Us.

The gameplay is consisted of environmental puzzles, exploration, scavenging, and combat. Although I must admit I felt the looting became tedious at times, I understand its necessity in a survival game. The combat, on the other hand, is fluid and allows players to approach encounters with their own style of gameplay. It is extremely violent and every kill makes you feel the horror and brutality of your actions.

TLOUII is an experience which inspires discussion. I recommend it to anyone who seeks more in a videogame than just escapism.

Très surpris de mon arrivé à Seatle, très surpris également du double arc narratif.

J'hésitais en 9 et 10, cependant ce sera 10 pour équilibrer avec les 0 injustifiés de joueur n'ayant jamais joué.

    This game is definitely better.
However, many users are very disappointed with the way storytelling is done and the attitude of developers.

Also, there is a clear reason why a user who gave up without completing the game gave up on the way.

The story is emotional and make you confused because every side has its own kindness, yet have to fight and get revenge each other. I don’t get it why people hate it so much.
It is not as bad as you think it is, play it until the end and you’ll see.

They made an almost perfect game just to destroy it with an ultimately stupid story , this will go down in history as the worst way to kill a franchise

This was an emotionally brutal rollercoaster. Fantastic piece of storytelling. The developers had a plan that was beautifully executed. You could see it coming but was powerless to prevent it. Great game!

I personally liked it though I agree with the majority of critics statements.
the early part of the game is very similar to the original from a graphical pov and is almost DLC but then it opens up into some of the best graphics ever seen complimented by some fun (and violent) gameplay.

the early part of the game is very similar to the original from a graphical pov and is almost DLC but then it opens up into some of the best graphics ever seen complimented by some fun (and violent) gameplay.

I did like the Abby character and I did start to care about her ...which was amazing, as when she first turned up I was not a happy bunny. I was angry and upset and confused why I was being forced to play as this person...but she won me over. Though the character is overall wasted and fails to do anything interesting. Though I did find her extremely attractive but then I'm weird lol

But the game is too long and has too many false endings for my liking. It does waste your time. And every time Joel and Ellie are together I was angry that this wasn't the game. Those tiny segments are amazing and wonderful and the museum is flawless magic.

I have no idea what is wrong with Neil D (the director) but I feel he hates himself and despises his many of his fans. He is clearly a clever guy and made the WONDERFUL The Last Of us but the man needs to step back and allow others to edit his genius. This game needs a serious edit but not a directors cut haha

ALSO as a LGBT+ person I didn't like THREE bloody LGBT + stories. As it took the power from one story told well to three told poorly. Hell the Lev story was just offensive and unnecessary and clearly written by someone who really doesn't know what he is talking about. Though I applaud their efforts to be different but they end up being tone death as everyone else. Atleast they tried though.

There is an issue which should be a discussion about the ENDLESS reused assets. The sheer volume of enemies who were physically identical became embarrassing at one point. Fighting a wave of identical humans and monsters only compounded the issues with lack of variety and too much repetition. Lazy inexplicable decisions which hurt the game and made it into a repetitive slog at times.

Yes I had some graphical issues and as the game goes on they became worse. I played a large chunk with no arm so that was hilarious but ruined the immersion. Sound and music are solid and the game is long...like way too long haha but def. get your money worth.

It is not a scratch on the original and not much like it and this is a genuine shame. the story is not a good one and it is poorly told. I reminded me of BEYOND 2 Soulz that Quantic Dreams thing. They re-released a version which didn't mess with the chapter order. I feel TLOU2 needs this asap to help make us really care vs being told or manipulated to care.

Overall I give it an 8 for graphics and trying to do something even if it fails but a 7 for wasting alot of potential and good will as well as literally spitting on fans at times. It made me mad...so there is that haha

Wtf is this trash called part II? They made a GameOfThrones, this is like a movie with some of action. Videogames are mean to get FUN, not lgtb politics. And the secondary character its like a female HULK, wtf is that?

I avoided all spoilers and was able to play the game fresh, and found that although I could completely understand the upset - THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT. The game achieved what it wanted to do, make us mad, revengeful, hateful, and then it masterfully, through carefully crafted story telling, makes you do what you never thought you could after that fateful moment - have empathy.

The other comments I see is about the LGBT themes this game has. I despise PC culture personally, and I was shocked to find that this rage, for once, was unfounded. This is a game that finally DOES NOT shove it in your face and simply makes this a part of these characters, not their entire character arc like most media unfortunately seems to hone in on.

The game play was fantastic, the story kept me on edge throughout its entirety, and the graphics were the best Naughty Dog has ever produced.

Give this a go and go into it subjectively.

Ruined the essence of a compelling story and continuation of one. No one cares about this. On a sidenote, I hope this studio will never touch the Uncharted franchise again.

Two points for their technical achievements.

yes the game has a good gameplay but its story is not worth playing. giving too much attention to one or two specific things and creating our last main character that every one liked like a side character. this has a bad impact on players that played the last game. look its my opinion and im sure not everyone gonna like it but making a story too real is not fun for players

Environmenta are beautiful how the nature overtakes seattle is impressive, character detail is also somethign to give a good score, An upgrade in gameplay and progression tree that will give a lot of ways to play wonderful.

    Cons
Yes the story is not the best, i was mad the moment i start playing with abby , i had 12 hours of gameplay more or less and i thought i was about to finish the game and then abby’s story gets on the way.

I will really appricate if abbys side of the story was optional since alot of the hype of the main story was lost due to that drastic change.

Killing Joel could’ve be change to kidnapping joel maybe ? I really think that the story of this game could be better at the end we do everything for nothing since ellie didnt kill abby .

The plot is really hard to make player swallow, but it's not because the quality, it's because the game made player face the side we all want to ignore and forget, and refuse to let the audience escape the painful truth of the world. Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
