    Neil Druckmann ruined the story of this game in an unredeemable manner to the point I have no interest in revisiting the tale of The Last of Us 2. The ending was a disappointment that left me feeling unsatisfied in a way I rarely feel. Characters I've come to love in the previous title ruined by this awful game. I'd rate this title lower if it wasn't for how amazing the voice acting,Neil Druckmann ruined the story of this game in an unredeemable manner to the point I have no interest in revisiting the tale of The Last of Us 2. No se quien fue el/la astuto que se le ocurrió que matar al personaje principal (muy querido) en las dos primeras horas , y que después juegues la mayor parte del juego con su asesina , fuera una buena idea.
    Sin contar que Ellie no se venga. Una historia sobre violencia y venganza truncada...
    Que no aporta nada nuevo y no suma.

    Terrible story, so many unnecessary moments, not to mention the fact that even the gameplay is actually subpar (there are too many bugs and combat is really repetitive, hasn't really improved at all from first)

In all my life of gaming I haven't dealt with such a cliche story with nonsense sprinkled in as a poor attempt to “subvert expectations.” In my mind, the great reviews from all of these companies have been bought out or were formed from sympathy over the leaks that obviously annoyed the community. I played through the game since midnight launch and the story was nowhere near the impact of the first game. There were shoehorns, forced representation that didn't fit the game, a nonsense death of Joel that was reminiscent of if a storm trooper just hunted down and killed Luke Skywalker at the start if the Empire Strikes Back for the destruction of the death star. Political correctness is a cancer that ruined this game along with bad writing and poor lore decisions that feels like a slap in the face to every fan of the original game. It’s hilarious that Naughty Dog was phenomenal with the Uncharted series from beginning to end but let their biggest title slip this hard. The only redeeming quality is some of the gameplay is pretty fun but even then its pretty bland and uninspired. Im deleting the game and never playing it again and I hope many people will read this and decide to not put themselves through the effort this game takes.… Expand

    I have never seen a AAA game which has a story that BAD. The game thinks it can make you think what is good and what is bad by showing you two opposite perspectives which is... Cheap and cliche. Also, we don't need politics in the game industry. Go write a worstselling book and stay away from gaming. Game is good by its graphics and animations but that's all. But there are some very good fights while playing as Abby. The gameplay itself is fluid, very accessible, and some of the best naughty dog has made. The story is not as good as the first, but it has plenty of high points. Many people seem incapable of analyzing this story with any sort of depth, they just scream about how it did not align with their expectations. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fantastic, and the story is still much better than most video games out there. The game is 100% worth playing, it may not be as strong of a narrative as the first one, but it is powerful in its own way. Solid 8.… Expand

I must said the history it's amazing there's so much going on every minute of the game that keeps you wanting more after every session I played. The game its not perfect I think at some point the game mechanics started to be more like ugh why do have to this atfain. ? The lack of choices during during some important moments like killing certain characters should had been a player choice And change the course of the game making a different endings. Spoilers next be aware.

    Example of that could be when playing Abby kill Ellie or when playing Ellie have the choice to kill Abby. Same goes for the characters you encounter during the gameplay like Jesse, Yara, Mel, Owen even Lev.

    Another thought it's Ellie immunity, virus and infection was left behind like it's not important. With that said this game its an amazing experience I enjoy it every minute.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Imagine you have a favorite movie. A movie about a beautiful relationship being formed between Two people. Who grow from strangers to family in a masterfully written tale. Who would sacrifice anything for each other’s safety and well-being.

    Now imagine that after 7 years you are given a sequel to that movie. You imagine the wonderful adventures these two will go on, and how much it will mean to you, especially now that the relationship is already formed. And you excitedly go sit down to watch the sequel, and as soon as you hit play, a strange jacked up woman beats the main character to death with a golf club and then the rest of the movie is about her love life.

    That is literally this game.

    The story is so forced that there are times I had to pause the game and think of the motivations of the character because I couldn’t comprehend what the reasons were for doing what they were doing. Making me feel that I was missing something..... but I wasn’t.

    On top of that this game took inclusivity, which is by its nature a great thing, and cranked it up to 400,000% to the point that I wasn’t sure if I was watching something progressive or regressive. When my team is made up of a female bodybuilder, a physically handicapped woman, a transgender man, a lesbian couple, an interracial couple, a Jewish woman, many various minorities, and a pregnant woman... and at the same time the two strongest white male leads (who were the heroes of the first installment) have their IQs dropped to 15 so the writers can have them walk into the most obvious trap ever; I’m left questioning if what I’m watching is actually progressive, or borderline condescending.

    I feel betrayed, and it is very sad because the actual gameplay is rather fun... the graphics are amazing... and It’s being built on the foundation of the story of one of the best games of all time. The ingredients are there for this to succeed tremendously. But it doesn’t. The character you play as is so insanely unlikable that there are moments where you are rooting for the people you’re being asked to kill to kill you. As that would make you feel better. This game puts you in a position where you will set your controller down and say. “I don’t want to do this, I just want to have fun, why are you making me do this?”    … Expand

This story does not pan out the way a lot of us wanted it too, but that doesn’t take away from the quality of this magnificent game. The story it DOES tell is powerful and well told. The gameplay and graphics are greatly improved from the first. Great character development. This game IS a masterpiece, just a very brutal one. The player may not get the perfect happy ending they wanted, but we still got one flawless game, that deserves to win awards! I recommend this game to any people out there who want a great gaming experience, and are open to any possibility story-wise.… Expand

    Resto nella media perché sono affezionato alla Naughty, ma sinceramente tlou2 mi ha deluso tantissimo. Qual è la cosa che mi ha fatto più storcere il naso? Che sia stato troppo politically correct. Davvero presentare una relazione omosessuale è una dimostrazione di coraggio della casa? nel 2020? Ne siamo così sicuri? Perché per esempio non presentare una critica violenta al fatto che, anche in uno scenario post-apocalittico ci si continui a riprodurre? Ovvio, perché non piace che venga messa in discussione la spinta alla vita, cosa invece che il gioco propone violentemente in più parti; Per non parlare della stanza piena di ganja, scena forzata per accontentare il ragazzino che si diverte a vedere un bong attaccato a una maschera. Ah ah ah.
    Insomma, se si parla di posizioni sociali/morali/politiche mi è sembrato tutta un'immensa mossa di marketing, questo è l'aspetto che mi ha più deluso.
    E poi, tutto questo hype sulla brutalità del gioco? Attenzione, brutalità e realismo, non violenza. Dove? Cannibalismo 0, violenze sessuali 0, traumi molto meno elaborati e poco realistici. E anche tutto l'hype sul fatto che gli NPC dimostrassero sentimenti? Io ho visto solo dialoghi da 2 secondi, come in ogni altro videogioco, ah si, i nomi, incredibilmente difficile dare un nome a dei personaggi, soprattutto quando la maggior parte si chiama "Alex". Moltissime animazioni riciclate dal primo capitolo (vedi morte causa clickers). Tutta la morale del gioco? Sangue chiama sangue, vecchia come il mio bisnonno, banalissima.
    Quello che segue è un po' un mea culpa perché non me ne sono accertato prima di acquistare il titolo, ma seriamente, seriamente il gioco non ha PERLOMENO riproposto il vecchio multiplayer? Altra prova che la saga è ormai una commercialata al pari di Fifa e company. Sottovalutato, non giocato dalla massa quello del primo capitolo, ergo, non reinseriamolo nemmeno per lasciare spazio a scene inutili nella trama; e gli affezionati, chissenefrega. Sono convinto poi che se fosse stato fatto dell'ampliamento su questo aspetto sarebbero perlomeno stati 60 euro non buttati, perché sì, sento di aver buttato 60 euro. Per una trama del genere, per quanto la grafica, le ambientazione e la qualità sonora siano da 10/10, col senno di poi avrei speso non più di una trentina di euro.
    Ma poi, la stragrande maggioranza delle critiche "ufficiali", positive al massimo, critiche degli utenti....beh...magari farsi due domande?

    An emotional rollercoaster with top notch graphics and great apocalyptic worldbuilding. The gameplay is very enjoyable (like part one with a few new features). The game plays with your feelings and even though at times i didnt want to play anymore pushing trough was absolutely worth it. The character developments make sense in my opinion and the story did catch me. The bitter sweet / sadAn emotional rollercoaster with top notch graphics and great apocalyptic worldbuilding. The gameplay is very enjoyable (like part one with a few new features). The game plays with your feelings and even though at times i didnt want to play anymore pushing trough was absolutely worth it. The character developments make sense in my opinion and the story did catch me. The bitter sweet / sad ending broke my heart again like the ending in part one did. Over all a stunning sequel - not what i expected but very good. 2nd playtrough is planned.… Expand

Hay muchas formas de comenzar odiando su historia, pero aún así logras poder hilar todos los acontecimientos y formas un gran juego, una gran obra de Niel Drogman. No es solo decir que es fanatismo, para nada, el juego tiene sus errror pero no le quita que tiene una maravillosa jugabilidad,Este es un juego que de principio a fin te clava con su historia, con sus personajes y su desenlace. Hay muchas formas de comenzar odiando su historia, pero aún así logras poder hilar todos los acontecimientos y formas un gran juego, una gran obra de Niel Drogman. No es solo decir que es fanatismo, para nada, el juego tiene sus errror pero no le quita que tiene una maravillosa jugabilidad, una atmosfera increible.

    Ellie una vez más se nos muestra como una persona fuerte y capaz de poder hacer todo lo que se propone. Claramente muchas de las personas no entieron su final, ni mucho menos sus personajes. Claro que el final se entiende, solo alguien con mucha "kk" en la cabeza no podría entenderlo y si haz puesto la suficiente atención y haz captado todos y cada uno de sus indicios podras entenderlo de la manera en la que se debe.

    No es un "mal juego", no esta ni cerca de ese termino. Es un juego increíble, algo que le da inicio a una nueva era de jugabilidad, de gráficos, de historias. Las personas ya están acostumbradas a la tipifica historia feliz, que haces lo que querías y se acabo, sin siquiera saber el trasfondo de lo que lograste y de lo que conlleva hacer todo lo que haces o haz hecho.

    Ellie no es como Joel, no es el personaje que hace mil cosas sin siquiera pensar, sin siquiera tener sentimientos. Así es el caso de Ellie, quien siempre tenía sentimientos, quien siempre sufría por alguna rezón y se la hacía difícil hacer las cosas.

    Pero bueno, oh hay muchas opciones, no lo jugaron ni por cerca o no lo entendieron en lo mas mínimo el juego.

    Punto número 1 los graficos, son realmente exelentes me atrevería a decir que los mejores que e visto hasta la fecha y estoy realmente sorprendido de como puede mi ps4 rodar algo tan maravilloso.
    Punto número 2 la jugabilidad, realmente se siente una diferencia con respecto a la jugabilidad de la primera entrega teniendo en cuenta que han pasado siete años; el juego está adaptado a la experiencia con cada personaje por ejemplo con Elie serás mas rápido y ágil en cambio con Abby serás más fuerte y lento, estás diferencias se hacen notar, me gusta que al pasar de los años han sabido mantener la escencia del the last of us en la manera de moverte lá forma de apuntar, la interacción con los menus y la forma de contar la historia.
    Punto número 3 la historia, la historia no es fácil de entender pero realmente es una buena historia una historia realista una historia de "the last of us" un mundo donde puede pasar cualquier cosa dónde nunca sabes si estás completamente seguro, aunque la muerte de varios personajes sean duras es entendible por qué pasa cuando comienzas el juego no entiendes nada solo estás completamente deleitado con unos gráficos exelentes y un poco confuso por la muerte de uno de nuestros personajes favoritos, la muerde de Joel es entendible te muestra que todo lo que se hace en el mundo de "the last of us" tiene consecuencias y por mucho que nos duela Joel hizo cosas muy malas, talvez no merecía morir de esa manera pero fue una muerte realista dónde puedes notar el resentimiento y sed de venganza por parte de abby; al inicio el personaje de abby no me gustaba nada pero al mostrar su historia comienzas a entender que ella realmente no es mala persona sonó quiere cuidar de los suyos (cómo Elie ), con la historia ya desarrollada podemos ver a Elie totalmente aferrada a una venganza que no la va a llevar a ningún sitio y se hace más daño a ella y a los que la rodean, por otro lado tenemos a Abby con su sed de venganza ya sanada y talvez cometió el error de tomar venganza en el pasado pero entendió que realmente no vale la pena y solo quiere estar en paz con ella misma; el final es un poco triste y decepcionante a la vez por qué un personaje que tanto nos gusta como Elie está rodando el borde de la locura por una venganza sin sentido y sinceramente no me parece mal el enfoque que le quisieron dar por qué si lo piensas son acciones muy humanas acciones que nos caracterizan y no queremos mostras talvez por eso el juego está recibiendo tantas críticas negativas de gente que no supo entender la historia y no supo entender que Elie y abby son humanas con sentimientos en común y maneras diferentes de procesar una situación, nos enseñan que un final no siempre va a ser un final feliz, creo que the last of us es un juego realista y sus historias nunca se enfocaron en hacer un final feliz si no una historia buena con sentido y sentimientos de por medio.

    The Last of Us 2 completely ignores the characters built in the first game. It also makes the story in the first game completely irrelevant. Characters behave out of character. One of the major story points that happens within the first couple hours only happens because a character does something this character would NEVER do as established in the first game. It’s an utter disgrace and ruins the character. Sadly this is the sole driving force of the entire game. Not only is the plot point created by this event the main focus of the game and story but it is also repeated twice. It’s the most basic thing I’ve ever seen and to make matters worse it is written very poorly. It’s bad enough to run with a ridiculous concept but I’d you are going to you better darn well get the writing and characters right. This game does neither. The characters are boring and not compelling and the writing is that of something I would have written before I got into middle school.

    The “poignant” moment at the very end was just laughable. I mean literally. I laughed out loud. If you like this game then good for you. I’m not faulting anyone’s opinion. My as for me I say shame on Naughty Dog For releasing this garbage. Lo que pasa es que a la generacion de cristal le picó el potito con los temas que trata la historia, pero es un excelente juego, que muestra la escencia de la humanidad.

    Part II does something I’ve never seen in a game before in the best possible way. The combat is gripping, the environments and attention to detail is fantastic and the motion capture and acting is masterful. Plus I can’t remember any game where someone’s seamlessly taken their shirt off.

    This is naughty dogs first flop of a videogame because of repititve gameplay, poor plot with glaring character decisions and failure to acknowledge that this is a sequel and not a stand alone game that is the first of its kind. The way some characters are handled makes me feel no empathy to them whatsoever has made this game almost unplayable.

    The story falls flat on its face. There are so many decisions the characters make that are just plain stupid such as Joel trusting strangers, Tommy asking Ellie to risk her life for him and Ellie choosing to spare the life of the person who killed Joel.

    Furthermore, the game seems to have some sort of agenda to make men look weak. All the male characters are just useless in the game and often taken out by the opposite gender, for example;

    Joel is killed off by a female
    Tommy's wife calls upon Ellie to save her 'useless husband' as she puts it
    Jesse is killed by a female
    Tommy pleads with Ellie to hunt down a female (After preventing and trying to protect her from hunting her down in the first place)
    Isaac (A leader of a fierce group) is killed by a female

    Overall game play is very good but since the story is boring, unrealistic and just rubbish, its not possible to score high in my opinion.    … Expand

    Now story. Many sais that this game makes you feel exhausted and destroyed but I think that these are the exact emotions it wants you to experience. Putting spoilers away, TLOU2 is uncompromising with It’s characters and also player and makes you do things that you definitely don’t want to do, but in the end you feel that you made the right decision even if it was really a really hard one. For me it was a great story about circle of violence and I don’t regret that I played it. Thought I need to say that the biggest problem of this game’s plot is that new characters simply can’t compete in charisma with old ones also because we got used to and fell in love with Elle and Joel in the first part and their motivation is cristal clear and understandable for us. Thought I wanted to give this game a solid 8 due to some weak parts of the plot it has (of course it’s not ideal, but it worked for me still), I think that it needs this score more now.    … Expand

    Definitely an unforgettable experience. The storytelling was very smart and brave and the game overall was brilliantly crafted. You can’t become angry at the plot because It didn’t give you the ending you wanted, instead you should try to keep an open-mind and experience what is given to you. This perspective will make you much more satisfied and happy both in the game and in real life.

    Both Joel and his brother knew the Fireflies will be looking for him, or at least they should expect that after purging the whole building of Fireflies. But instead they get surrounded by armed strangers and they just gave out their real names like dummies. Like hi, my brother here, his name is JOEL.

    This game deserves a 3/10 maximum.

    The video game press and ND emphasize that the game is about revenge, but in the end that long-awaited revenge does not come, after killing everyone, you do not kill the "Villain", because in the last second you realized that "circle of revenge is bad" WTF?!!, an unsatisfactory anticlimactic ending,

If you didn't create a unique weapons upgrade animation for every single weapon and upgrade maybe we could have gotten this game quicker and with less expectations. That being said, the melee animations, the landscape, everything is amazingly detailed, down to the blades of grass. Style-wise, the drab browns and greys are not appealing to me at all, but I see why they wanted to drab, depressing colors in this game. I don't rate graphics that highly in games that I play.

    Gameplay:

    Stuck in 2013. I heard the gameplay would be massively improved, but the best way of doing every encounter is still the same. Stealth around and kill everyone. Having to get into a gunfight isn't a failure-state, but it is not nearly as effective. Melee feels okay, but I think I actually enjoyed it more in the first game. Many games do all of the aspects of this game, but better. This is completely average.

    Story:

    This story is so bad. The pacing is awful, and the game is about 5-10 hours too long. There are so many plot contrivances and poor character logic strewn throughout the game that it makes it difficult to view the characters as characters, they are just puppets dancing on the strings of a maniacal storyteller who wanted to tell THIS specific story with these beloved figures to get an emotional reaction out of his audience. Their own established characters and logic be damned. For any fan of TLOU1, this will feel jarring at best and completely off-putting. I truly hated it, and I can't find much good of it. The flashback scenes were the only highlights, and they were few and fleeting. The whole game should have been the flashbacks.

    Overall : 3.5/10 - Graphics in a story-based game are not that important to me. The story should carry it and it doesn't. Truly disappointing experience and I can't recommend it to anyone.    … Expand

If youBeyond all the SJW boogeyman **** that people espouse, TLOU2 is just a poorly written and poorly executed game. The game is a pale example of the first one and is just so incredibly **** boring. I honeslty dont know how the screeen writers or directors could have approved of this **** l. This is especially so with the **** ending, holy **** what an insane ****show that ending was. If you still have time get your money back , there is a reason the vast majority of people that worked on the first game arent present at Naughty dog for this travesty.… Expand

    This is an excellent, exciting, magnificent journey. Throughout the game, you become attached to the characters, empathize with them, as if you went all the way with them. This game certainly deserves a score of at least 8, all the stupid claims and understatements seem just stupid compared to what emotions you experience after passing it.

    This game is amazing. Emotionally draining but Amazing! It subverts expectations and improves the gameplay of the original and has some of the best combat and graphics im any modern game.

    First of all. The graphics and the voice-acting are amazing. The atmosphere fits.
    Now the bad news... Characters are boring, I mean.. really boring. The game is not a gameyou play, its a political message you play. I am political in my private life all day, but gamers want a resort from this kind of consistant stress so this game is not a escape. Storytelling was really bad, the    First of all.     A ver el juego luce bien y demás pero a mí particularmente eso no me sirve de nada con semejante telenovela aburrida que se inventaron, con razón mis amigos no me lo recomendaron pero sentía que tenía que probarlo y darle una oportunidad, ahora sé que hice mal y regale mi dinero, gracias por arruinar el juego.

    First of all, the game does not deserve a lot of production quality and stupid ratings. Yes, it may not satisfy everyone in terms of story, but the quality revealed does not require insult.     Absolutely one of the best games I have ever played, I don’t understand why so much hate is being directed at the game. I’d understand it if most of the hate was just from people who didn’t like it but maaaan they take it to a whole new level, not to mention all the homophobia, transphobia, and anti-semitism I’ve seen. Graphically, narratively, and emotionally, this game is a masterpiece,Absolutely one of the best games I have ever played, I don’t understand why so much hate is being directed at the game.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
