    The Last Of US Part II is almost a perfect game with a very brave story. It has a great soundtrack, and stunning performances. Amazing ghrapichs, and atmosphere, and great gameplay. iti s worth playing

Bueno, el juego tiene muy buenos graficos, eso nadie lo puede negar, pero lo que de verdad no me encanto fue la trama, eso de eliminar a Joel a mi si me dolio, porque es un personaje que comenzó el juego principal que todos jugamos y adoramos; lo mataron así de la nada para centrarnos la historia entre ellie y abby. Joel es parte esencial del juego, de un buen tiempo si sabíamos que ellie iba ser el personaje principal y joel iba a formar parte pero un poco, pero iba a estar, eso es lo importante. Nosotros queríamos saber la nueva aventura en que se iban a embarcar ellos dos pero solo decidieron eliminarlo como si fuera un personaje cualquiera; otra cosa que tambien no le daba sentido a la trama era ¿porque recurrir tanto "el viaje en el tiempo"? osea una hora tu tabas en el presente, pero sucedía una cinemática y ya estabas en el pasado, y si te distraes no sabes si estás en el presente o pasado pasando un buen tiempazo deduciendo, además toda esa trama del pasado debió ser The last of us part II porque para así tener un orden de secuencia, y después la trama principal ya debió ser The last of us part III pero decidieron mezclar todo, creo que los desarrolladores le dieron más importancia a la calidad ultra 4k del juego que la historia principal.… Expand

    Beautiful game. A true technical masterpiece. The story suffered some problems early in the game that made the crux of the plotline drag on with a nihilistic tone. I certainly did not gasp, cry, or get got lost in the story of this installment. as I did in the first one.

    Took what was so incredibly special about the first game and literally took a gigantic cleveland steamer all over its chest. It's like Luke Skywalker being the hero for the first film, having him die to a random NPC with zero importance attached to them who then goes on to be the star of the show? What the actual EFF. Naughty Dog have lost a life long fan in me.

    In a single player narrative driven AAA title, STORY IS KING. And just for the sheer technical creativity this gets a 3 but the direction that was taken here from a story stand point was a disaster. Played an hour and it killed the mood and the franchise. Druckman and Gross got too woke and tried to build a message around a game instead of a story. Hope this doesn't mean the end of NaughtyIn a single player narrative driven AAA title, STORY IS KING.     Pro -It is a great game with a visceral story and it improves the mechanics of the first one,
    Con -the story over uses flashbacks and and is often over the top.

    Story wise is totally eclipsed by the previous entry

I think I played it through 5 times. The sequel did not disappoint. The story is heartbreaking and engaging and contains some great character arcs. To be honest as soon as this game was announced I knew that character was dead, there wasn't much further for that story to go. I really enjoyed the new characters. I was still pissed at Abby when I first started playing as her but loved her by the end. Some people want sunshine and rainbows in the post apocalypse but its a world with no heroes.… Expand

    is barley a game its a really boring soap opera that is a far cry from the story build up from the original. when you have to push yourself just to get through the next part it is not a game anymore. graphics are top notch but the game is full of bugs, horrible written AI scripts bugging around or doing nothing.

Especially to someone he just met. You don't make us play as another character other than Ellie and Joel, especially Joel's killer for a good portion of the game. You don't have me thinking about getting revenge as Ellie for Joel's death then not do so after Ellie destroys all of Abby's friends. And most importantly, you never kill off a main character especially when that character helps make the franchise.… Expand

    One of the most intense and thrilling gaming experiences I ever had. Fluid and smooth gameplay together with an exciting new approach on how to tell an emotional story in a Video game.

    Total disappointment, visually good, with a slightly improved mediocre gameplay from last game, but has one of the worst narratives I'v ever seen, highly inconsistent characters, absolutely ridiculous plot full of holes, and the pacing is SO BAD. The narrative is just so bad that it breaks any immersion you might have, and it does this constantly.

    The seriously lazy writing and prevalent plot holes in this game are beyond a joke! This is nothing but an interactive movie that forces every decision for the player down a rabbit hole. The numerous glitches and clunky gameplay show that the developers never cared about making a good game, they wanted their vision of a movie prequel to the tv series and that's all this piece of garbage game was.

    The plot is bad and without propaganda motives, because there was nothing alive and interesting in it. The plot of the first part was also quite trivial, but they managed to make an interesting game out of it by revealing the relationships and empathy of the main characters. Who, by mercy, tell me to empathize with me here? After the ending of the first part, I thought that the game would continue the already strained relationship of Ally and Joel after he deceived her, but no. Eat Abby with all her muscles. And again, the plot at the Assassins Creed level is revenge, murder, aaaaaaaa.

I avoided all spoilers but had a good idea Joel was gonna die because of the uproar on the internet, though when I started playing as Abby I couldn't stand her at first, I was actually throwing myself off the top of buildings at first to get my revenge for Joel. First time I've purposely killed myself in a game! Ha. But I gotta hand it too naughty dog, by the end I actually liked her and felt for her, I thought the ending was sick and it was better revenge than killing her for Ellie as she killed everyone close to her and left her alive with the guilt that they all died because of her revenge on Joel.
    The game is **** awesome and to give it 0/10??? Wow u gotta be bad butt hurt over Joel for that ha. Hands down the best developer out there    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is a story based game and this is why I give it the rating I have as the game chokes the already perfectly built story from the previous game. The old characters are unrecognisable and new characters are bleak and uninteresting.
    The whole game is a waste of time as nothing actually gets accomplished its 25 hours of pure garbage and waste of time. The only reason someone would enjoy this is if they were in denial of what happened during the game or they enjoy the gameplay only which is also MEH hasn't changed a lot from the first game. A few cosmetic innovations here and there however, it doesn't fix the awful story that is trying to teach you politics and how revenge is bad.
    Joel who we started this franchise with and as a matter of fact has carried this franchise to where it is now gets killed in the first HOUR!!! This was only done to pander to the SJW crowd and was executed in the poorest way possible to make Joel look like a little B****. Half the game is spent playing as a character that you don't even like and never end up liking by the need of the game no matter how hard the story writers try to make you feel sympathy for her. When she is the one that kills Joel. The ending is probably one of the worst in history of any entertainment product to push a message. 7 YEARS FOR THIS not worth one penny. Not even worth for Free.

    If you enjoy games that push messages left right and centre and have stories that are meaningless or that can be told better in other entertainment products and having 25 hours to waste. Then this is the game for you. 0/10 is the most fair a 1/10 would be pushing it. #F***NaughtyDog    … Expand

Naughty Dog ruined the franchise and the characters everyone loved and made us play as the villain for hours for no reason, basically a walking movie. How would you enjoy that? Not to mention the totally random and raw deaths that feel robotic. The first part of TLOU was so much better and well done, this game is not and is not worth the name of a sequel.… Expand

Second part is even worse the coffee scene is a disgrace for this franchise and makes someone almost puke on how low budget the plot is. The game is not perfect but trying to give it a 10 at every turn when this game is filled with bugs and plot holes is just utterly disrispectful towards your fans and consumers and making fanboys fight for a lost cause. The game is less than 0 because there is no significant and true emotional content only pretty graphics with the most distorted story possible. I think many of the players forgot that neil druckman said that this game is more about hate and the post apocalyptic world. If you wanted a the last of us 1- esque game here you were completely wrong in the first place. Like dont get me wrong, the game really has his problems for example joels death comes way to early and the ending is just not satisfying even tho the ending makes sense. I totally get the idea behind TLOU2 but the pacing just was a bit of. My biggest problem with this game was the parts with joel, they were way to short and i would loved to play with ellie and joel together. We only get that here in the flashbacks (which are great btw). Secondly the parts with abby were nice if you look at it frome the gameplay perspective, but they felt just too long.
    We are left here with a good the last of us post apocalyptic world experience and some very nice emotional touches and smooth gun and fight gameplay. it does not come close to the original the last of us but its still a great game. Hence why I give it a 8/10. Try to look at this game from a deeper perspective and you will get the beauty of it!    … Expand

    In my opinion I believe this game is amazing. I’m pretty bummed that they killed off Joel even after seeing that trailer showing him good and alive. Throughout the whole game I thought he was alive somehow, and seeing Jesse saying his line just caught me off guard, and made me emotional knowing that Joel was actually dead. Honestly there were many moments that caught me off guard. Like playing as Abby. It was boring at first, but learning bout her life made me more intrigued. When Abby shot Tommy in the theater I lost all hope about the game, but seeing Tommy alive in Ellie, and Dina’s house was relieving. I get a lot of people think the story is a little cliche but Ellie lives in a whole different world than ours. Her world is full of evil evil people that will do anything to survive. This is a world without boundaries and laws, anybody can get away with anything. Joel has killed and crossed many people throughout his life it would only make sense for someone to come after him. I had a deep connection to the game because I know how Ellie felt loosing someone close. Waking up the next day knowing they aren’t there that you won’t be able to talk to them. Also knowing that their killer is out there living their life without no repercussion, I would like vengeance as well. Ellie had issues with Joel and knowing that arguing was the last thing they did would bother me as well. This game will make you emotional. I been waiting for this game for over 7 years and I don’t regret buying or even playing it.    … Expand

No es un juego para débiles y es completamente una introducción desgarradora al mundo de Ellie 5 años después de haber tenido la oportunidad que Joel le arrebató para salvar a la humanidad. Intenta abarcar muchos temas y personajes con diferentes sensibilidades, pero sin llegar a profundizar en los personajes de la manera que podemos apreciar en la primera parte, incluso quitando algo de veracidad.

    - El uso de un segundo personaje durante la mitad de la historia, personaje con el que yo nunca la disfrute ni conecte con ella, con una historia tediosa y sin mucha importancia durante la mayor parte para la trama principal. Forzando la evolución del personaje de forma inverosímil para poder recrear una simpatía parecida al de la primera parte (yo personalmente solo disfrute de esta parte cuando la mataban).

    - El final es un completo despropósito y sin sentido, solo con unos cambios en los acontecimientos se podría haber conseguido un final bastante épico, dando un sentido profundo al mensaje sobre la venganza y sus consecuencias.

    - La IA de los enemigos no ha mejorado lo que me hubiera gustado, en difícil me ha parecido bastante fácil excepto un enemigo final.

    En general, el juego es un escupitajo al legado de la primera parte, olvidándose la narrativa que cautivo a todos los jugadores. Yo personalmente no lo recomiendo, todo y que la jugabilidad es divertida, la historia o los personajes te dejan todo el rato un amargo sabor de boca. En mi caso, lo venderé a la que pueda y intentaré olvidarlo lo antes posible, para mí el final de la saga se queda en la primera parte. Game starts out pretty solid, iffy on Joel dying in the first roughly two hours, but whatever. Then we get to play as Abby... I have never cared about any character or subplots less than her’s. We don’t care about her and Owen. We don’t care about the crammed-in war against the Seraphites. We don’t care about any of that. ND somehow found a way to water down the specialness of their own main character in their own game. The whole “two sides of the same coin” gimmick just feels tacky and subtle as a sledgehammer. Ellie collects trading cards, Abby collects coins. Ellie couldn’t swim, Abby can’t be up high in the air. Mel was pregnant, so was Dina. You can’t make this stuff up, they really thought they were onto something with this. And don’t give me any of that anti lgbt or transphobic stuff, Abby being masculine has nothing to do with my critique or mostly anyone’s. Makes the sex scene a little off-putting (yeah you get a good look at her naked in the game) but it’s not a valid reason to dislike her. Her inclusion, body type and looks aside, is still the main thing that ruins this game. It’s almost as if ND gave us Ellie to focus on and care about and gave us Abby almost like how your mom made you take your younger sibling with you to places as a kid; you’re still having some fun, but man did they REALLY have to come too?

    In conclusion if you’ve read this far- game was good until they shoehorned Abby in there and expected us to like her. Could’ve been a great game but ND dropped the ball.    … Expand

    I have never played such a well polished game before. Everything has detail and thought behind it. Everything from a technical standpoint is top notch. Animation, sound design, level design, exploration is all groundbreaking. There’s a fluid mix of linear and partly open world elements.     The Last of Us Part II isn’t for everyone, but fulfilled the role of a sequel to one of my favorite games of all time. Gameplay and graphics were vastly improved over the first game and the story was new and unique.     First, I don't think it ruins the first game. it COMPLETELY destroys the reputation of the the series, but doesn't make the original less of a masterpiece. Second, the graphics are amazing, but by this point, Naughty Dog is the CEO of good visuals of this decade, so good. And third, this should have never happened. Seven years ago when I was a dumb kid, I wish so hard that it had a sequel, but as time passed, I understood that good things doesn't come in filled buckets. So I think it would have been best if this never happened, like many streamers and youtubers seem to agree on.

    Let's talk about gameplay, graphics and story, that are the prime of naughty dog as a company.

    Gameplay: Naughty dog can't make a stealth game even if their life depended on it. And since this is the proper approach for completing the game, I'll have to **** on it. In a Stealth game, it can go two ways. Or the enemies are so stupid that you can have fun just messing with the AI, OR is too good that you have to exploit it knowing they will do exactly that because they are so perfect. And this game is the second option but in a weird way. You can pick up a zombie/human, alone, but if he turns half a centimeter to you, you enter a combat animation, alerting all the others around you, and making your dumbass partner start shooting. It's absolutely frustrating, if you played or even watched, you know what am talking about. In the rest, THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FIRST ONE. I think you even pick the weapons in the same order. NoriDog is good for action **** and I hope they stick with it.

    Graphics: They are amazing, I have nothing else to say. But giving games a high praise for the graphics alone is stupid. Graphics should combine with the tone of the game, like shovel night or team fortress 2, or create one for it, like cuphead or bendy. And it does a great job at using the realistic graphics to make us feel the despair in every scene. Good. And attention to detail is stupid. They are just doing because they know critics are going to give them a higher score for it. Is not like it matters in any category.

    Story: What can I say that hasn't been said by somebody else? Well. Imagine if Lee from TWD game survived the first season, but then got killed in place of Omid by that random chick in the bathroom. And the rest of the game is just you uneventfully trying to get revenge on her. Despite she having nothing against you, Nor does know you're coming after her. Thats it. But halfway the **** game you play like, what should had been a DLC, seeing the side of the antagonist. But by this point, you're so blood thirsty for Joel that you probably killed her several times for fun. Nobody likes the character. and her gameplay is mostly just action and LGBT **** which, by the way, don't buy it. If you're pregnant, don't go fight a civil war. And if you're trans, don't be crazy stupid and die just to prove a point.

    This game is probably the biggest deception you'll ever see in your life. But since is a very infamous game, you're just gonna admit it's bull**** and then forgot about it. I'll do that too, everyone shall and will. Goodbye Ellie and Joel, I hope the internet place you in a pedestal where you will receive the praise and love you both deserve, as any amazing character should.

Aunque no le pongo 5 estrellas por la forma tan tonta en la que matan a uno de los mejores personajes de todos los vídeo juegos, me refiero a Joel, si bien es "justificada" su muerte deberían de haberlo matado de una forma épica en la que el jugador piense que en verdad valió la pena la muerte del mismo, y no algo tan burdo como lo fue. También pienso que es una gran estafa el hecho de que Elli perdone la vida de Abby pero no haya podido perdonar a Joel por haberle mentido en el primer juego, gracias a él hizo y vivió muchas cosas, incluso formó un tiempo una familia gracias a seguir con vida y no pudo perdonar a Joel.... It beats you in concussive jolts you don't wish to strike, the alternative choices you desperately want these people to make, and through the entirety of the journeys of 2 characters who are, in the end, 2 sides of the same coin. Both look into the darkness, but one is hoping to find the light of grace that wasI "beat" the game. I don't know if that's the right term. You don't beat it. It beats you in concussive jolts you don't wish to strike, the alternative choices you desperately want these people to make, and through the entirety of the journeys of 2 characters who are, in the end, 2 sides of the same coin. Both look into the darkness, but one is hoping to find the light of grace that was taken from her, and the other wishes to find it in the eternal shadows that would have given her existence meaning and sense. Both mock religious martyrs, but that is exactly what they become...except both are martyrs to a congregation of one in their own empty temples. The other characters, in fact, the whole word preaches to them, but they are like Trojan soldiers when Cassandra spoke. They hear, and ignore, the prophet's dire warnings of war without end, and victory at all cost...and cost it must...especially when all one hears from the plaintive, well-spoken advice of street wise prophets is babbles and baubles. Hence, why all logic is spoken from a theatre with a marquee bearing the name "Cassandra."

    This isn't a game one "plays". You don't "control" these people. You're along for the ride with the same knowledge of an audience that watches a Greek tragedy. It's an immersive dive into a virtual experience of dramatic irony played out as an epic elegy and a dirge. It speaks with somber poetic prose and sings out a mournful lamentation in its soundtrack, dialogue, and the pulpy violent narrative that knit it all together into one experience. This game is like the bifurcated tale of the Greeks after the fall of Troy, 2 parts of one of humanity's grand armies searching for a home, or an idea of it, that no longer exists. One makes it to home's warm embrace. One is perpetually searching. They both ache for what the other has...but have no idea what to do with their own mad kingdoms when they are the last ones standing.

    In the end...all the kingdoms fall when the furies rage on and on and on for revenge amidst the rubble. Eventually, all that rage and rubble is pulverized to dust...and blows away, carried on the wind of forgotten songs captured in music beaten mercilessly into stone for the ages, but left no mercy for the memory of how the songs were played and sung. The song fades into its own drowning wind, letting go of the nostalgia of what was, and leaving the hollow, hopeful ache of what might be. I have no idea how a goddamn video game made me think and feel so much, but the artistry of it all is not meant to be understood, but experienced.    … Expand

Overall I though the game was aesthetically pleasing, graphical design are a definite 10, whilst gameplay being identical to its predecessor I still think that it’s a 10. The new mechanics, e.g prone for stealth kills I thought it was amazing. However the story is where you lost me. I see the direction that naughty dog tried to go with this game by trying to make you feel empathy for Abby but frankly what she did to Joel and how Joel died is criminal. Joel was one of gamings most loved and well developed characters and how you can say you loved this character more than anyone confuses me.… Expand

    The story is the controversial subject. If you want a simple action adventure story like the other millions out there (Uncharted, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider) with some twists and an ‘the hero saves the day’ ending/atmosphere you will be heavily disappointed.
    If you don’t have a problem with some bad feelings and a crown-up story, then could this something for you. Sure, not every little part of the story is perfect but the game (the story tellers) had the guts to show consequences if someone kills another, the beginning and ending of a spiral of violence, traumatized persons and Ellie who lost almost everything cause she devote herself to vengeance.
    In the end it is nice to see that video games beginning to fulfill their role as cultural property.    … Expand

    I just cannot believe how badly executed this storyline was. The graphics were beautiful, the gameplay was smooth (for the most part) the character design was beautiful, but when I got to the end I had the same empty and confused feeling like I did when I watched the last season of game of thrones.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
