    Most moving and thoughtful story I have played in any video game. Wonderful representation of the mental trauma brought on by the loss of a loved one. Best stealth action game I have experienced, finally beating out SC Chaos Theory. Visceral and remorseless violence that is presented that way for a reason. Animation and voice acting puts any other game to shame. I can’t stop thinking aboutMost moving and thoughtful story I have played in any video game.     Wholeheartedly agree with the media reviews. The game is virtually perfect. Naughty Dog have created, once again, a masterpiece. Bold decisions were made in the execution of the storyline, and it worked.

En todos los aspectos impecable salvo en la historia la cual no es tan impactante como como el 1 (no digo que sea mala pero no esta a la altura de la primera parte) los motivos de cada PJ los considero creíbles, simpatice con Lev y Abby sobre todo por perdonar a Ellie y Dina, llegando al final se fuerza un poco por alargar el juego mas no puedo mentir que si lo disfrute como un pequeño DLC y el hecho de que Ellie se de la tremenda molestia para terminar dejando ir a Abby me gusto, sobre todo porque al igual que el 1 fue un tremendo viaje que no termino cumpliendo el objetivo inicial, para finalizar que Ellie termine sola por culpa de su sed de venganza me parece perfecto.
    Sino te gusto estas en todo tu derecho a mi no me gusta fornite o gta no por eso son malos juegos simplemente no te gustaron y ya esta, no olvides son juegos su objetivo es que te entretengan y lo pases bien y the last of us part II lo logro conmigo.

    In every aspect impeccable except for the story which is not as shocking as 1 (I am not saying that it is bad but it is not up to the first part) the reasons for each PC consider them credible, sympathize with Lev and Abby especially for forgiving Ellie and Dina, coming to the end she forces herself a little bit to lengthen the game but I can't lie that if I enjoyed it as a little DLC and the fact that Ellie went to the extreme trouble to end up letting Abby go I like it, especially because like 1 it was a tremendous journey that did not end up fulfilling the initial objective, to finish that Ellie ends up alone because of her thirst for revenge seems perfect to me.
    If you do not like you are in your right I do not like fornite or gta not for that reason they are bad games you just did not like and this is it, do not forget they are games their objective is to entertain you and have a good time and the last of us part II did it with me.    … Expand

I went into it only watching some of the trailers, and was able to avoid all of the spoilers, so my only bias was the hype of loving the first game. Don’t listen to the haters, this game is amazing.

    Gameplay has been improved, but not modified. If you liked the gameplay of the first, you’ll love the gameplay of the second. The combat is more immersive and super fluid. The environments made the combat amazing.

    The story was awesome. I never felt more emotionally invested in characters than with this game. I will admit, I did not like playing Abby at first and couldn’t wait to get back to playing Ellie. They switched the POV at such a cliffhanger! However, it halfway through playing Abby I started to like her character, and by the end I really didn’t want anything bad to happen to her. It was gut-wrenching to fight Ellie. I didn’t want anything to happen to either one.

    If you liked the first one, give this a chance. No guarantees you’ll like it, but I absolutely loved it.    … Expand

    tl;dr: the visuals, accessibility, and artistic designs are the only thing holding up this game from it’s disappointing storyline, poor story development, lack of interesting characters, and many missed opportunities to explore intriguing lore just so you can be forced into a new and unwanted perspective from one of the most uninteresting characters in gaming.    … Expand

    Great game really good follow on from the first.
    The story is amazing and the gameplay is almost perfect. I never found myself fighting mechanics or anything like that it had a really good flow and an amazing soundtrack which ive had on repeat since finishing This game seems to be getting a lot of hate and im really not sure why they did a fantastic job.

    Even though people are hating so much, this game is really a masterpiece in storytelling.
    A good story is not supposed to pander to the audience's desires, it is supposed to cause contemplation and reflection. I loved the first game and I loved this one even more.
    The parallels between both the protagonists' paths are amazingly well-written.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I understand why some people may be upset with what this game presented, or what I saw was that a lot said the pacing was terrible. While I do keep this in mind, this game also gives a lot of things that I just could not have felt more enthroled about. For starters, the soundtrack was absolutley amazing, they tied in the music seamthlessly to the situations in the game and it enhaced the overall feel of the game. Secondley, while I did love Joel as a character in the Last of Us Part 1, this was not his game, and while even though you pay the game honoring him and seeking out vengegance for him, it is more about the development of Ellie as a character, that was the entire point of the game, was to watch someone start off with everything they love and care about, and by the end of the game the one connection she has to left to Joel( guitar playing), is quite literally taken away from her, and you can see this through the somber music , lighting and facial .Lastly, Abby, i thought her story was incredible, and by the end of the game you realize that you were trying to kill someone who just wanted revenge for the exact samething, which of course is why you feel empathy towards her. I for one can not wait for the Last of Us part 3, I think Naughty Dog has set this game up beautifully and I look foward to seeing how the story of Abby amd the story of Ellis continues expressions. I would love to see what eventually happens to Abby, if she ever makes it to the fireflies, and if say someone like Tommy will eventually be a problem for Ellie and might try killing Abby again, who knows , either way, 9/10!… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Simplesmente fantástico, o jogo se aprofunda no ciclo do ódio, o Joel matou o pai da Abby para salvar a Ellie sem pensar nas consequências. Destruiu a última esperança da humanidade de criar uma vacina para erradicar a pandemia e pensou somente nele mesmo. O jogo proporciona a experiência de viver o outro lado da história, é dito que a história sempre é contada pelo ponto de vista do vencedor porém isso não acontece em TLOU2. Você entra na pele da Abby, assiste seu pai morto por tentar salvar a humanidade, claro que teria que sacrificar a vida da Ellie, mas ela mesma estava disposta a pagar esse preço. Enfim, o jogo é incrivelmente bem construído, com personagens forte, com personalidades fortes. A vingança cega, e isso a naughtydog consegue mostrar bem nesse jogo.… Expand

It includes amazing characters, a great storytelling, with a lot of important flashbacks that make us understand the feelings Abby and Ellie are carrying for a long time. These two are good people making terrible choices to protect their beloved ones and revenge is the highest proof of that. Killing Joel was essencial to develop Ellie’s character even more and to understand, when you play with Abby, that revenge does not bring anything good in your life, your traumas won’t disappear. That’s why Abby has spared Ellie’s life a couple of times.… Expand

How I hated Abby at first but grew to like her, understand her and grieve with her. Then happy when both Ellie and Abby survived Seattle, to become angry at Ellie and putting the game away for a few games. Even the ending... the game makes you think, grieve, laugh, philosophise,... and that’s why it’s a masterpiece… Expand

But the guy who wrote the story didn't think about little things, like why Joel trusted wolves in the first hours of the game when he was very suspicious in the first game, there were holes in the script that didn't explain well why he trusted, because they wanted Joel's death to happen at all costs, but in itself the story is good, because in the first half of the game, you are presented with parts where you want to kill all the wolves at any cost and in the Second half, they really make you wonder if you want to keep killing the people that are left, because everyone is not bad in this game, it is simply about a world of survival, as Ellie has killed people in cold blood to survive as well as Abby, but the graphics, the gameplay, the soundtrack of the game, are some things that stand out from the whole game… Expand

    tengo una duda. ¿están borrando también los 10 injustificados o solo son los 0? el juego tiene muchos errores y uno de los mas pesados es en la historia. en el primer juego nos establecen la personalidad de los personajes para ver en el segundo un cambio drástico inexplicable, como si forzaran el guion, en definitiva utilizan muchas conveniencias del guion para contar la historia, y paratengo una duda. ¿están borrando también los 10 injustificados o solo son los 0? el juego tiene muchos errores y uno de los mas pesados es en la historia. en el primer juego nos establecen la personalidad de los personajes para ver en el segundo un cambio drástico inexplicable, como si forzaran el guion, en definitiva utilizan muchas conveniencias del guion para contar la historia, y para terminar el plot armor lo utilizan mas de diez veces en ellie.… Expand

    Das Game hat eine super Story und hat damit eine außergewöhnliche Richtung eingeschlagen, auf die man selbst nie gekommen wäre. Es ist auf jeden Fall Kreativ und faszinierend wie man dinge danach hinterfragt.Gameplay ist Zeitgemäß aber steht nicht im Vordergrund. Was dem Story-Balance gut getan hat.

    Um jogo sobre ódio, sobre pessoas, sobre redenção e que tem o propósito de fazer um barulho na sociedade mostrando que a vingança não compensa, é um caminho triste e vazio. Também tem o propósito de mostrar que o ódio só corrói as pessoas por dentro! Te faz questionar quem tá certo ou errado, quem é herói, quem não é.. e no fim percebe que são    The Last of Us - Part II é uma obra prima!

    Um jogo sobre ódio, sobre pessoas, sobre redenção e que tem o propósito de fazer um barulho na sociedade mostrando que a vingança não compensa, é um caminho triste e vazio.
    Também tem o propósito de mostrar que o ódio só corrói as pessoas por dentro! Te faz questionar quem tá certo ou errado, quem é herói, quem não é.. e no fim percebe que são todos humanos, cheio de falhas e consequências, por mais doloridas que sejam!
    Gráficos surreais, trilha sonora sensacional, realismo e inteligência artificial em um nível nunca antes visto em um enredo completamente digno do GOTY (Oscar dos games).

    Não há pontas soltas, não há nada mal explicado, está tudo lá.. é um game que exige maturidade e consciência de que a realidade pode ser muito diferente do que você idealiza.. e o choque no começo do jogo demonstra claramente as intenções de mexer com os seus mais profundos sentimentos! Você sente ódio, tristeza, felicidade, culpa e a necessidade de perdoar e seguir em frente!

    Sem sombra de dúvidas, uma revolução no mundo dos games!

    Mindblowing from start to finish.
    Excellent graphics with improved gameplay that i really enjoyed and still am.
    The story is so perfectly told.
    Druckmann has managed to make us feel for both Ellie and Abby. Showed us both sides of the story and made us ponder for so many things.
    So heartbreaking to watch Ellie being unable to play the guitar, knowing that this was her only thing connecting her to her father figure, Joel.....
    She literally lost everything for the desire to seek revenge.
    There are so many things i wanna say about the story, but i know 5000 words wont be enough.

Besides, the storyline is focused on show that in a world like theirs, there are no heroes, only survivors, and sometimes we have to make a mistake to learn/understand somethings. The political vision is also a controversial theme, once we have today a peak of hatred and prejudice. He destroyed humanity's last hope of creating a vaccine to eradicate the pandemic and he thought only of himself. The game provides the experience of living the other side of the story, it is said that the story is always told from the point of view of the winner but this does not happen in TLOU2. You step into Abby's shoes, watch your father die for trying to save humanity, of course he would have to sacrifice Ellie's life, but she was willing to pay that price herself. Anyway, the game is incredibly well built, with strong characters, with strong personalities. Blind revenge, and that naughtydog is able to show well in this game.… Expand

    First of am gonna throw shots on the haters first, I know we all have our own opinions but hear me out. When I hear people say that Neil Druckman "RUINED" TLOU, you guys are using the wrong word in my opinion. You can say its bad that's it. And to the people who's having a hard time connecting with Abby and her friends, that's because you guys are just too connected with Joel that you don't care about Abby's story. Joel killed Abby's dad and saves Ellie just for his own ego, that's why Abby kills Joel. Yes Joel didn't have the send off that we all wanted but that's life man, we always don't get what we want. And I agree Naughty Dog did false advertise, I get that. I know we all expected the game to be another Joel and Ellie adventure, people just wants the same game all over again. But its also nice for naughty dog to do something different in the story. And to all the players who thinks Abby's and other charcters are poorly written, that's cause you guys are too connected with Joel. Joel is not the hero here, he's an anti-hero. Cause if he we're a hero, then he could've sacrificed Ellie and his ego, to save humanity, but Joel did the opposite. So after all the people Joel killed in that hospital, you will expect for a group or anyone to have their revenge. And Abby would've gotten her revenge when Ellie killed all of her friends, but what did Abby do? She let Ellie and Dina go. Abby isn't a bad person, theirs a reason why she killed Joel, and none of you care, cause one of you (sorry) are soft. I mean in the world where Ellie and Abby is born, you WILL expect someone to die in a violent way. Now I heard alot of gamers hate the ending, where Ellie left Dina and baby J.J just to go kill Abby, she returns, and she lost 2 fingers. That's cause even if she killed Abby, what will that cost? Abby killed Joel, and what does that cost? But what I think people hate more about this game is Joel's death, just cause he doesn't have a proper send off. And I agree they could've done a lot better. They could've done the way TellTale games send Lee off. But this is TLOU, expect the unexpected

    But those are just my opinion, might not be hame of the decade, but it is no doubt game of the year.
    If you think NaughtyDog RUINED TLOU, it's not naughty dog's fault, its just that the game isn't for some gamers.

However, looking at this game from a different point of view shows just how amazing it is. Certain elements of the story like Joel's death can ruin some people run if they don't see past it and understand why it happened. I think the point of the game is just that, to move on from the past, and to forgive. In one of the last scenes of the game Ellie says she doesn't think she can forgive Joel but she can try. In the end I feel she does this by forgiving Abby, or at the very least letting her go. This game has a very sound story and is easily one of my favorite games of all time. I just wish other people saw it as I do. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.… Expand

    This is a masterpiece. Story, gameplay, graphics, everything was on point. That ending wasn't a cliche, it was pure feelings still the end. I was so sad to see Ellie ended up alone.

Beautiful and amazing. Graphics details are interesting too. Like the wire that collides and interacts with walls and glass. Snow footprints and many other examples.
    3. The way game influence on you. Plot twists, screamers. You understand why Ellie do all of this stuff, because you want to do the same thing. That is Last of Us II.
    4. Fight. You feel every punch, every shot, every mistake. You feel the weight of weapon, you feel the strength of character. Boss battles make you scream in horror. You can't really feel it if you didn't play the game.
    5. Guitar. Well come on. It is the best part of the game.
    Cons:
    1. Minor characters. I didn't like Dina and Jessie. The way how Dogs do characters' storytelling makes you punch the screen.
    2. Abby. She sucks, I want to kill her. I want to humiliate her and destroy the motherf***er. 3. Dina's nose.
    4. The ending. Just look at it.

Game wants me to hate character than it wants us to love. And it did it. Game succeeds what it wants. Best game I have ever played since 2019

What I mind is the decision making of how the game/story goes as you progress further into the story. Everyone brought their A game clearly.     For Christ sake we the fans grew to love the connection that was developed between Joel and Ellie and within the first two hours of the second game you take that completely away. All the character development of Joel being a survivor is flushed into the toilet...

    This game deserves all the praise for the people that took care about the animations, the graphics, the cut-scenes, the mechanics and the gameplay. Naughty dog has a quality signature in this regard.

    However a big and I mean BIG failure this time was on the narrative and the story telling.

I've never experienced such a story that pulled your in every direction. The negativity about this game is appealing. If you don't like it, fine, but going after these people because of the story they crated (not you) is just childish. I hope there will be more to this story in the future and honestly want to see both Abby and Ellie's story.

When this game released I was disheartened to hear it was getting such negative reviews. I held off on buying the game until I had the first death spoiled by a livestream (I knew what I was getting into and had wanted to watch a bit, since I hadn't planned on buying it).

    In tears I immediately purchased the game. And what a game. The gameplay is the most smooth, character driven, seamless gameplay I have ever experienced. It is intuitive and immerses you in the story and world. This game puts you into a world of fight or flight, forcing you to pick sides and discover things you didn't know about yourself. The game forces you to walk in the shoes of two people who you love or hate. The game shows you their lives and let's you make your own decision about them. The game is so good at this, in fact, that it got negative reviews from a few leaks of the story before it was released.

    If you have been aprehensive about picking the game up as I was, I reccomend you dive in. You won't regret it.    … Expand

    Lo que si arruina bastante es su historia 5/10 siendo un juego que su arma principal es la historia me cuesta creer que este juego tenga una historia tan mal contada y sin sentido ya después de la mitad del juego cuando manejamos a Abby , pero vayamos por partes , el gran problema de la historia es que nos muestran a las 2 horas de juego quien es el que mata al antiguo protagonista del juego (abby) a partir de aqui ya tenemos claro que nustra venganza en contra ella osea la vemos como clara antagonista de esta historia , todo bien todo correcto, hasta que vamos manejando a la nueva protagonista del juego (ellie) y vamos matando uno por uno a los "amigos" de la abby y preguntando su paradero , pero lo que no logro comprender es de por que Ellie que en la primera entrega del juego nos queda bien claro que ve a Joel como su padre adoptivo , inclusive , en la primera parte cuando Joel queda postrado en una cama Ellie cuida de el , hace trato con unos desconocidos , lo amenazas con un arma , te capturan los mismos tipos y hablas con el jefe de los tipos que te capturaron , le quebras un dedo y lo amenazas que lo vas a matar y en el enfrentamiento final lo matas con unos machetazos en la cabeza , y ahora me vienes a decir que Ellie tiene "remordimientos" por vengar la muerte de Joel ? .....
    Y esto no es lo peor del juego , después de unas 15 horas de juego nos hacen jugar con Abby , si con Abby la misma que mato a Joel y nos hacen jugar por unas 12 horas con ella y lo peor de todo es su historia que es digna de un guion de novela turca , y en este punto del juego es cuando todo , pero absolutamente todo de Abby es forzado para que nosotros tengamos una "empatia" por ella , y es ridículo ya que no nos interesa su historia punto esa es la verdad , ademas de mencionar que nos hacen relacionarnos forzadamente con unos niños para que nosotros pensemos "mira ell igual tiene que cuidar de unos niños igual que Joel y Ellie el la parte 1" es totalmente ridículo y la verdad es que lo único que quieres es que se acabe ya el puto juego y para ir acabando las ultimas 8 horas de juegos son pero lo peor del juego sin duda , nos hacen ir a las isla de los scars por puro relleno , para que encontremos el cuerpo del amante de abby , vamos al teatro y nosotros mismos tenemos que enfrentarnos a Ellie , si a Ellie , es que no tiene puto sentido ya esta historia la verdad .
    Para ir terminando la ultimas 2 horas de juego nuevamente con Ellie vamos a buscar venganza después de dos años dentro del universo del juego , llegamos a donde esta Abby LA SALVAMOS de la muerte y nos enfrentamos a golpes con ella y cuando estábamos a punto de finalmente cumplir nuestra venganza magia señores , Ellie se da cuenta que la venganza no le iba a traer nada bueno y deja viva a Abby .... dios mio uno de los peores finales que he visto en mi vida
    lo que no entiendo es por que el juego tiene esa intención de entregar de que la venganza es mala si Abby pudo cumplir su venganza pero Ellie no la cumple y mas encima pierde todo a Dina , JJ , su familia adoptiva y a Joel
    Pero insisto para mi la historia no es mala del todo , solo que esta muy mal contada quizás hubiese sido mejor si nos contasen la vida de Abby antes de que fuésemos a Seattle con Ellie , y mostrándonos como su grupo de amigos se unen en la busca de Joel en vez de mostrarnos flashbacks de el y owen en el acuario que la verdad a nadie le importaba , los unicos flashbacks que valen la pena son los de Ellie con Joel ya que mantiene ese fanservice/nostalgia que uno mantiene de la parte 1 del juego y habernos dejado la historia de Ellie para el final y completando la venganza y recien ahi darnos cuenta que la vengaza es mala.    … Expand

    Finished the game on survivor, after palying3-4 hour every day, the plot, logic and character arc seems quite clear to me. In fact, places where some other players suggest a logic fallacy exist, I found them to be quite understandable, and sometimes the character's sharp turns of opinion and code of conduct seem quite logical and even brilliant in terms revealing their characters. TheFinished the game on survivor, after palying3-4 hour every day, the plot, logic and character arc seems quite clear to me. In fact, places where some other players suggest a logic fallacy exist, I found them to be quite understandable, and sometimes the character's sharp turns of opinion and code of conduct seem quite logical and even brilliant in terms revealing their characters. The narrative of the story is quite superior to most other games because it obsessive follows and symmetrical structure both in terms of narrative structure as well as characterization. This way of telling a story is quite uncommon in video games but often found in critically acclaimed literature and movies. TLOU2 is a bold step forward, pointing the gaming industry to move from purely catering to people's liking, and into a much more serious and artistic style.

    Even if it is hard for me to accept that my beloved characters are harmed, I can not deny this game is a very good game, and it should be marked as an important moment that video games evolved once again!    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
