    I can't even describe how people can enjoy this game. The story is such garbage. It looks like they threw the first game out and it doesn't exist and this one is completely different with completely different personalities that they look like different people. Wtf the graphics and audio are good in themselves but the story is soooooo bad

    Eu esperei muito tempo por essa continuação e foi decepcionante. A historia tomou um rumo lamentável, matou dodos os feitos do Joel, e transformando a existência dela em um cara qualquer e o final foi pior que eu imaginava, conseguiram estragar completamente a historia, que tinha um potencial incrível, mas tomou um rumo que deixou totalmente a temática zumbi pós apocalipse.

This is the same playbook used by Rian Johnson with the Last Jedi. Destroy everything that people loved before. Subvert expectations over and over and over. Graphics are incredible, gameplay is the same as TLOU1. Story,Absolutely ridiculous.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Such a disgrace to the previous game. This was supposed to be the continuation of the first game, which the false advertisement showed us. Everything I liked from the first game, the relationship between our two main characters, the depth of their personalities, the story of hope in an uncertain world, all of it was taken away. The franchise was all about the story, you would think ND knew that since he co-wrote the first one, but no. He just threw it all out the window within the first two hours of the game, and then tried to make us feel sorry for a despicable side-character through the 2nd half of it.
    Even if we ignore the plot holes and inconsistencies throughout the gameplay, the story still feels forced and poorly written. It tried to make us feel guilty about violence even though it gave us no choice to avoid it. The message it tried to convey was soo dumb.. like we didn't already know revenge was a bad thing. I hated the Abby gameplay, I actually considered quitting many times but I kept playing with the hope that this story would turn out to be one of Ellie's nightmare.. which would still have been a better plot that the one we were given.

    Thank you Neil Druckmanm for ruining a franchise with so much potential, at least it will serve as an example for future game developers.

    I'll give it a 2/10 for the graphics improvement, and out of compassion for the people who worked hard on it during 5 years.

    This game is so incredible, I can't describe my feelings in the end of this game. I just love it. Was sad, and make me cry for days, I've never felt like that before playing a game.

    This game, this interactive movie, is blood-sweat-and-tears. It is a complete game. No dlc needed but I wouldn't complain if there was. The graphics are beautiful. The acting, the expressions, the drama. I have not played a game this good. That's why 10/10.

    Excellent graphics and gameplay. Faces, hair, clothes, foliage, destroyed buildings, blood and gore, weapons, and guitars are all rendered in beautiful detail. Stealth encounters are in large and varied sandbox environments stuffed with dangerous enemies. Killing animations are graphic and brutal. Knives, guns, bows, bare hands, and crafted explosives will destroy anything in your path.Excellent graphics and gameplay. Some light environmental puzzles and a whole bunch of resource scavenging round out the simple but effective post apocalypse gameplay. These parts of the game are a big improvement over Part I. Unfortunately the story in Part II is much worse. The writers try very hard to make the audience sympathize with the new main character Abby but it just doesn't work. The story takes a lot of wrong turns, spends too much time on side quests, and really drags during the second half. Ellie sits out the two best boss battles in the game. Joel is not even a playable character. On top of all this the ending is very disappointing and makes the whole journey seem like a waste of time.… Expand

    The last of Us part 2 is a beautiful game that takes too many narratives risk and not enough when it comes to gameplay. The known characters don't act like themselves and the new characters are either unlikable or canon fodder.

    I love this game! I understand if you don't like this game, only if you actually completed the it. If you don't like the game do it having a gay main character then get out.     The game has mixed emotions, I pretty much expected this to happen. People would either totally hate the game or praise it as a masterpiece. I, myself loved the game, the gameplay was great, just like the previous one. The story though, didn't start off as strong as the first part, but ended on a great note.

If you played the first game you got the story of two cerecters but in the game you got many of them that dont get so many time tounderstand them + there is something in the game that people that can not take other points of vision of situation can not accept so if you one of them i highly recomend to dont play in that and forget about this existence. But many people say its the game of the year but this game have many problems so if you can deal with them i can recomend the game to you.

    1.there are many cherecters and no one have enaph time to understand the cherecters even Ellie.

    2.the game only intresting on the hardest mode abd there no hints from the game for people to know that.

    3.there are many sitiations that less than 30 secends that it happend its give you a hint for ehat will happend and it distroyed the surprise.
    Example:in one situaition you will fall in to the floor but while you go there there is lightening ao you see there is a room under you.(this is the best explein withoit spoilers sorry).

    Fainaly i want to say its a good game but this is not what we want for part 2 so if you dont afraid to get med from something that you dont agree you you can try this game and may be you will get good expirians .

    Great game! In parts you don't want to play it. (Understandably) But that's the idea. If you finish the story and still want to give it a 0-3 I don't understand. But IMO it's another great game by Naughty Dog

    Although I am not sure I prefer it over the original they are both masterpieces in their own right. The gameplay has been greatly improved, and the story is different than the first one but incredible nevertheless.

    Amazing and mindblowing. This game is entertaining and heartbreaking, technically and graphically sublime. It portrays themes, rolemodels and subjects that are long overdue in videogames. I have never felt so conflicted about revenge and reflected on pain like during and after playing tlou 2.

    Not sure what all the negative publicity is about. In keeping with the original, just improved game play and graphics. The most edge of seat, heart in mouth, scared sh1tless I've ever been. Not done yet, but so far, the best game since the first one. And the only game that gets one so emotionally entrenched.

I am not a big fan of the story. Naughty Dog seemed to have too much of an agenda in making this game. Was there a reason in making Abby as buff as a body builder? It made no sense. I also did not care for the deception Naughty Dog did to the fans regarding the trailers compared to what was in the game. Also, if you go prone in gameplay, it can screw with the AI. They suddenly can not see you even if you crawl right up to them at times.… Expand

    The game is really good. The gameplay, graphics, character development, etc. are great. The story may take some risks, but it's still great. Many people hate that it captures a different theme than the previous game, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad. Overall, I think Naughty Dog did a great job of making players invested in the story

    Characters die but this is done with such filth...it makes you hate the game. This is not powerful writing this is hatred. People spitting on dead people....Filth. This has no Heart, No Love, leaves you Empty.

    Incredible graphics, seamless cut scenes, great acting and some really scary zombie encounters make this an excellent game.

    What elevates it to an amazing game is the way it challenges you as the player in having to play the game from your enemy's perspective. The only downside is the repetitive nature of the scavenging but that is a minor grumble in what may be the best game I've ever played. Epic    … Expand

    I'd rather not to describe all what's bad about TLOU 2 or rather what's good have left out of the franchise ... In short - first thing I've done after completing TLOU 2 was launching the first part and trying to forget that the sequel has ever existed ... Desperately trying at least just a bit to restore my memory to the state before I ran this piece of crap

    No one cares about Abby No one cares about the society irl Most people play games to have a break from real life and dive into an adventure that upon finish they can smile and remember for the good part of their youth and or life. Right off the bat agendas seem obvious when ellie kinda felt uncomfortable. Then Abs is what abs is. Then lev/lily omg give me a break. Lily/lev s storyline.. Why?? Everyone I cared about in this game died and everyone I wanted dead stayed alive. Ffs
    Killing Joel killed the game for me. Even though Joel wasn't the Joel from the first part. Not killing Abby is the icing on the cake. Ellie is not the ellie I know. Ellie going crazy is where I'm starting to rethink why on earth did I even go along with this **** after what happened in Jacksonville.

    I honestly enjoyed this game. A lot, actually. So much that I did a 10-13 hour marathon to finish the last half of the game in one go because I was so invested and wanted to see it clear through until the end. I enjoyed the setting, the characters, and the story. I don't feel like I played the same game that everyone else seems to be complaining about. It has some of the most natural LGBT representation I've seen in a video game, which is refreshing. Some people think that the theme of revenge is a little too intense, and I can understand that. It's a very emotionally draining game, and if not in the right mindset, you might not be prepared to play it and have FUN with it. But I did. The first 20-24 hours of the game were meant for me. I enjoyed almost everything it had to offer and I'm currently working on my second playthrough. Please play the game yourself, or watch a playthrough from someone who hasn't already made up their mind before playing it.… Expand

The storytelling and character development is insane. People are mad because [spoiler] ..... Joel dies, and that's why it's getting rated so poorly. The story between Ellie and Abby is that they are two sides of the same coin. If we played the first game as Abby's story and now in the second game Ellie came along and killed her dad, we would have had the exact same reaction. The story is visually beautiful as it is in performance and in storytelling. It is so raw and real because this is a post apocalyptic wasteland and having Joel die is a possibility that could happen in a real scenario. Having the expectation that it was still going to keep to that father daughter trope would have been tiring and childish in that Ellie was growing up and evidently distancing herself a bit from Joel. It was heartbreaking how the revenge story was played out and so raw in emotion that it shows Ellie's development as a person as she grapples with reality. Truly an excellent game.… Expand

    The main problem for me is last of us 2 does not respect the main characters from the last game and on top of that adds new characters which trust me you will not care about (NO SPOILERS) . The reason that i have given 6 is that the game has AAA level of Animations, Graphics and also some very cool Uncharted like set pieces but with the wrong character.

    To be honest, I'm not surprised that this game took Joel. After all, in the first part they took his daughter, and then himself. Of course, it’s a pity that this all happened.
    Do you need a continuation of this game? I think that yes, because this is clearly not the end of the game as a whole. Because most people are interested in what Ally will do next.

I agree that the order of the game could have been different and some characters should have gotten more screen time. It's not a perfect game but the main points i see people being angry over are:

    1. Joel's death
    2. Abby being a bad character both visually and mentally.
    3. LeSbIaNS

    1.First, Joel dying sad yes, is the world of Last of us fare on any level? NOPE. I think that there could have been other things to motivate Ellie or ways to give the story a conflict but then that would have been a different story. Joel’s death was horrible and that's the point. It’s a story about the Spiral of Revenge and why you shouldn’t go down it and if you do that you have the option to stop.

    2.Muscle woman go Golf, did not have a problem with Abby, like her after I got to play with Alice, Liked talking to her Friends, Manny A+ give more screen time. Abby is a person just like Ellie, everyone is capable of bad stuff. Abby beats Joel with Golf club? Booooooooooooo
    Ellie beats Nora with a pipe? yeeeeeaaaaaahhhh, that’s kinda hypocritical in my opinion.

    3.I am glad that we get an open and visible active LGBT+ character (two since we got Lev but his LGBT+ identity is not that explored but they at least didn’t **** it up). You know how a character goes the whole series, movie or game not being romantic or attracted to any gender and then in a end credit scene, in some brand twitter post or some other **** they gay now. Also why save their gayness until the very end? Last of Us part says **** that, here is some Lesbions enjoy. Ellie and Dina could have gotten some more couple moments in Seattle but the beginning and end part goog.

    overall i give it 8.7/10, could have been longer, could have changed some minor things, but in all honesty I don't see why people hate it but I understand not liking the game, I don’t like Uncharted but I don’t hate it.

However, the taste completely changed in Abby's story. I like Ellie and Joel in TLOU. The imperfections of Ellie in part 2 remind me of Joel in TLOU. On the other hand, Abby exhibits more typical "protagonist"It took me about two weeks to finish the whole story of the game, mainly because the story of Ellie line felt so dry.
