The last of us part 2 é bom?
Eu acabei de zerar o jogo e ainda estou repensando sobre o quão INCRÍVEL... esse jogo é. Deixo claro que The last of us part 2 é um jogo sobre pessoas e pontos de vista. Você tem que refletir sobre tudo o que se passa no jogo e se existe mesmo um vilão... Porquê o Joel é o herói que salvou a Ellie, mas também é o vilão que tirou o pai da Abby.

Although the game has an outstanding graphic and more or less engaging gameplay (which still becomes a bit tiring after 20+ hours), writing and story in general are so weak and that's destroys everything. Moreover, Abby makes almost the half of the game absolutely meaningless. I wonder whose idea was that (Mr. Druckman perhaps), that's a total fail

Couldn't understand how an experienced man who was in hiding trusted a group of armed people that he just met and got slaughtered like a pig. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While the game boasts great graphics and level design, the story and pacing fail this game completely. I'll say this right now, the writing is terrible. I don't say that as somebody just saying that because I disliked some of the infamous story choices, the characters are unrelatable and uninteresting. There is no emotional investment into any of them as individuals and they feel forced in there just to facilitate the story. Characters die before they become interesting, others are written so badly that you cannot care about them. The developers attempt to emotionally manipulate the player in cheap and obvious ways, trying to make the player feel bad constantly. This didn't effect me but It was very obvious and it became irksome and preachy.

It suffers from awful pacing, most of the time it feels like a slog to get through. This can be partly due to the choice to bring the game to a grinding halt at the halfway point, only to branch off into side stories. They might be okay on their own, but within the context of the grander story, it completely throws the pacing and atmosphere built by the first half. I found myself just wanting to get back to the story but I had to revisit the same locations over and over playing characters I didn't like or care about. The ending is terrible and makes no sense, it feels incredibly forced and It felt like this entire game was built around a theme or premise, rather than built around being a great experience.

The game itself has issues but the deceptive marketing and proven lies from the developers soured the atmosphere and has had a very negative impact on those who bought into a false premise. Terrible practices to attempt to save sales at the expense of audience trust. I truly wanted to like this game, I went into it with a positive attitude and open mind and I struggled to even finish it considering how bored and uninvested I felt by then. What a shame.

Fantastic graphics, but the plot and the characters are really bad. The game-play is good, play in stealth is really cool, some action scenes are awesome, but sometimes the game-play is tedious. The ending is predictable and really bad. I prefer replay the first part than this new game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really can't describe how much of a joke this game turned out to be. Seven year wait with a lot of hype surrounding it. Everyone grew to love Joel and Ellie together, and their father/daughter relationship. Then after all these years you release it, the sequel to a truly great game. Within two hours Joel dies like a **** rat, nothing heroic, nothing smart, no sacrifice, just cold brutal ****

I think everyone knew that Joel was going to die at some point in the game, but within 2 hours of a twenty some hour game, damn. And they have the **** audacity to have us play as the **** who shot his leg with a shotgun, tortured him for several hours and then ending his life infront of Ellie with a **** golf club to the skull. That right there should have been where I stopped playing.

The slog fest that is the Abby(Joel killer) storyline lasts for 10+ hours, even if you rush it which you probably will do, since they **** ended Ellie's gameplay on a cliffhanger with Abby about to shoot her, after she has just came to kill Ellie. I can't even make this up, they force you to play Abby's storyline to make you humanize her, but all you can think about is Ellie and the **** cliffhanger. Like who in their right mind gives a flying **** about Abby after you see her beating the **** out of your favorite characters from the earlier game?

I want to wrap this up, since it's actually way too much stuff to be said. Basically Ellie moves away to a farm with Dina and her baby, far away from everything. She is suffering from PTSD and nightmares about Joel dying. So she sets out to find and kill Abby, again. You find her tied up and dying, you are also dying. You fight, she bites off two of your fingers, you hold her under water to drown her, but you don't kill her. She drives off in a boat with her kid to join fireflies and attempt to have a good life.

Ellie returns to the farm to find the house abandoned. Ellie sits down and plays on the guitar Joel gave her, it sounds like **** cause she misses to fingers, she puts it down, camera pans to window where we see Ellie walking into the horizon. Leaving the only thing she had after Joel died, music. She lost her **** girlfriend and Dina's kid, basically Ellie's kid, and **** Tabby is seemingly living her best life in a town of 200+ people. Roll credit. **** this game. DO NOT BUY IT

Upgrade mechanics are useless. You can basically speedrun the whole game without even paying attention to the details. Seattle is a city of writers where everybody had to write down notes before they died, it looks stupid and unrealistic. Game lacks voice recorder similar to the first part.
The plot of the game is simple and while it could be really good if the writers managed to develop new characters properly. That is unfortunately not the case in TLOU2. Newly intoduced heroes lack motivation, their highlights are mostly cliche which leads player to not being able to establish the proper connection with them. While Abby seems like a solid character at first, her decisions are questionable and her plot armor is annoying. Yara and Lev could be much more reasonable characters than they are. Everyone's backstory around Abby feels like a filler.

I was so thrilled for the day it finally released... but I was let down... The graphics are breath taking, the controls are pretty smooth to me. But the story.... oh god the story... It is a mess. I was beyond devastated... The first The Last of Us has a brilliant story and it tries its best to hold you in its grasp and won't release you until the end. Part to does the exact opposite... It slaps you in the face. PArt 2 is more like a retarded little brother than a full fletched Sequel.
I don't think that LGBTQ+ is a bad thing. There are way too less examples of those characters in videogames. Ellie was a good start in Left Behind. Lev's story was really sad.... imagine you being the one who gets denied who you are....
The LAst of Us Part 2 tried to be many things... but in the end... it failed to be at least one of them... a worthy Sequel

All around decent gameplay if you enjoyed the first. Graphics: Similar to gameplay, there is a slight improvement and without a doubt it is still a beautifulgame but it doesn't stand out as much in 2020. Story: This is where the game falls short for me. It seems that the story revolved around writing off one of the franchises most beloved characters in place of characters that are uninteresting. The writing seemed lazy and "try hard" edgy. Also about the first 3 hours are about 2 love interests that are angsty teens who can't speak what they feel. If that is your cup of tea then look no further. I much prefer the grittiness and character progression of the first Expand

TLOU2 won me over in a completely different way than the first, with its humanity, terror and emotion. This game blew past my expectations and has taken the first ones place as my favorite video game.

Gameplay is smooth, fun and more challenging than the first one. All in all the same basic mechanic with a few new features. Plays well and this story has a lot more horror than the first one that only added to my experience. The only downfall is I felt a section or 2 of the game had slight pacing issues but nothing that was blaring or took away from my experience. The game has unexpected moments which will make you hate characters later to sympathize with them, as well as love characters later to doubt their integrity. Real conflicting moments which will have you question who is hero and who is villain. The game is 50% longer than the first game so it's not short. A lot is said between the lines it doesn't hold your hand, emotions and choices that aren't explained and would make the game worse if they were explained. I think this game isn't for everyone, you don't have control over what the characters will do/choose just like in the first game so all you can do is strap in, hope and not expect, which makes it all the more exciting. Once again Naughty Dog has delivered a experience I won't soon forget, a darker and more uncomfortable experience, but a thrilling experience nonetheless.

How in the world could Naughty Dog so thoroughly destroy some of the most beloved video game characters of all time? Killing Joel in the way that they did was an absolute disgrace to his character and spit in the face of the fans. Then being FORCED to play as his murderer for HOURS while they poorly try to make her out to be a sympathetic character is insane. I felt no sympathy for Abby or her friends and all I wanted to do was slay all of them in the most brutal fashion possible the entire game. I didn't think it was possible to so thoroughly destroy everything I loved about the first game, but Naughty Dog/Neil Druckmann managed to pull that off in a spectacular fashion. The story had its ups and downs. I don’t mean in the writing, I mean in how I felt. I think it was done on purpose. I hated certain moments of this game. Particularly towards the middle and end. But as it went on, I became attached and understood the reason behind why I am playing. The game makes it seem like it is a story of revenge, and for parts of it, it is. But that is not the major theme. It branches out and does things that many of us did not want to happen. It pushed the limit on storytelling. It went against the grain of what people most likely wanted. It definitely isn't what I wanted or expected, but I really enjoyed all of it. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My Overall Review:

    The Good:

    - Graphics-wise, in my opinion, looks pretty stunning. But I feel this game would have been suited for a PS5 launch day release then we can see the full capabilities of the games engine.

    - Combat really similar to the first game and I enjoyed it, plus the new additional movements and whatnot.

    - The crafting and upgrade system felt really polish and good. Having the gun benches here and there to custom my weapons was also a nice thing to have.

    - The AI has been improved quite substantially and that was a plus side.

    - It felt more horror like compared to the first release. It had a mix of the Walking Dead and Outlast vibes here and there. For someone who isn't a big horror fan, I did not expect walking into this but at least it kept me on my toes.

    - I really enjoyed the easter eggs like Nathan Drake's ring from the bank in downtown Seattle and the throwback PS3s and PS Vitas.

    The Bad:

    - The way Joel's death was handled. It felt very intentional that the writers decide to kill him off just for the sake of it and hence using that as the entire basis of the game.

    - We were promised that this game was mainly about Ellie but in comparison, I felt that I've been playing Abby for almost 60% of the time and I did not like it one bit.

    - I did not enjoy playing back Abby's backstory because it felt useless, removing this would no doubt make the game shorter but this time, it's quality over quantity.

    - The overall storyline and character development did not feel fluid at all. The game was literally jumping here and there and at certain parts, especially after playing Abby for over 5 hours. I felt like putting my controller down and switching my PS4 off.

    - The ending was also disappointing. From the beginning after Joel's death, Ellie swore in killing every last one of them. But at the very end, I have a feeling that Joel may not have wanted that to happen but Abby's death was well deserved considering the amount of pain and suffering Ellie has gone through... she lost her parents, her surrogate father, one of her closest friends (Jesse) and has put everything on the line just to seek revenge and avenge Joel. But, Ellie decides to let her go... that was a really disappointing part to see.

    What could be done better:

    - If Naughty Dog wanted to have Abby's backstory. Maybe, they should have decided in doing like what they did with Uncharted The Lost Legacy. Keep it as a standalone game and that 10 to 13 hours of gameplay should suffice.

    - The overall plot could have been done so much better. Ending Joel within the first 2 hours of the game was really heartbreaking considering everyone loved the character he turned out to be. Possibly making some sort of death scene at the end of the game, maybe when he dies of old age after going on his last adventure with Ellie would have been a much better approach in my opinion.

    - Also ending it could have been written so much better and I CANNOT emphasize that the ending was nowhere as top tier as the first game. The writers and director honestly could have decided to let Ellie kill Abby considering her dreadful past. I mean that was why Ellie decided to leave her family and go to California anyways...

    Conclusion:

Overall, this game could have taken a much more different route than anyone, even myself would have ever expected. There were too many plot holes which did not make any sense at all. The characters despite a vast majority being fan favorites, except for Abby and the rogue WLF's could have been developed and given far more emotions and a stronger personality. Killing Joel should not have happened and he should not have died in that sense considering how much he and Ellie have touched our hearts from the first game. Yes, I know normally living up to the standards that were already set from the first game will be really tough. But everyone has been waiting for 7 years to see where the gang would be and this was just a major flop and let down to the entire community and the players.

This game destroyed a potential game series. A lot of things don‘t match to the world of The Last Of Us, like the traits of some characters or the presentation of LGBT-stuff. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've never reviewed a game but you gotta start somewhere right.
So, here's the deal. This game is great. It's emotional, it's brutal, it's challenging, and it's incredibly detailed. Guess what, it's 2020 and the game features LGBTQ+ characters? Who would have thought it...anyone that takes offence to this is very narrow minded and doesn't deserve to comment on the game, but that's just my opinion. It shouldn't be up for discussion and I commend Naughty Dog's dedication to include this in such a high profile game. The end.
The story is lengthy and incredibly well thought out. There is another obvious 'controversial' moment of shock near the beginning - Joel's death. Yep, I definitely came across this when these details were leaked and I was devastated, but I didn't read any more into it, so I didn't know the specific details. Playing it for the first time was tough to watch and incredibly emotional. I thought the way in which it was shown was powerful and struck the right balance of violence and emotion, especially seeing it through Ellie's eyes.
This definitely had to happen in order to push the game in a new direction, otherwise it would have just been a retread of the first. I didn't necessarily want to play as Joel again with Ellie by my side - we've been there.
There's a point in the game where you begin to play as new character Abbey. Rather than it being a short segment, you very quickly realise this is gonna be half the game. I didn't connect at first because I struggled to empathise with a character who had just killed Joel. However, as the gameplay went on, I understood what was being done, and what we got was a very padded and relatable character. She isn't massively different from Ellie, it just took time to understand her motives. I think from the point I realised her dad was killed by Joel, I understood why we needed this version of events. This part of the gameplay was needed to steer the game from being a one sided revenge story.
Everything else about the game is fab - the combat is hugely satisfying and I definitely feel like there's more of an option in how to handle a particular encounter. I generally went in all guns blazing, but I like the emphasis on being able to completely sneak past and avoid combat.
The encounters with the infected were terrifying. My first time with the stalkers genuinely scared me. I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how I was going to push forward without screaming out loud. There's also a new member of the infected family which was a surprise. It was tense and exciting and it came at a good point in the game. The visuals are fab. The ability to go off and explore at certain points allows the player to witness scenes and moments that could otherwise be completely missed.
I just loved the game. There are definitely weak points - as much as I love Naughty Dog's approach, I do sometimes find the slower paced elements a little dull. I get that they help us build more human connections with the characters, but sometimes the pacing can be off. Apart from this, they've done it again. The only reason I wanted to post a review was because of all the negative ones I've seen. I don't understand, it baffles me. I realise many are attached to these characters and accepting a new approach is difficult, but I really believe this had to happen to allow part 2 to stand on its own feet. And as I mentioned, the inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters is so important in this day and age, and it should just be as "normal" as any heterosexual characters. THERE SHOULD NOT BE A DISCUSSION ON THIS. DO NOT form your opinion based off of these negative reviews. Play the game with an open mind and you will not be disappointed.

First of all i want too talk about gameplay and UI here. This game has been in development for 7 years. And the first game started development in 2009. and they both have the same gameplay, looting is not new and fresh, and crafting and upgrades are done incredible bad. you are basicly nerfed as a character and then you get back too your "normal" after you are done upgrading. and this takes btw 2 playthroughs. and if you use a guide for collectibles you have the platinum after 2 playthroughs. soo IMO the game is then done. and you play this boring nerfed gameplay through that. looting and crafting are the same. even though they sayd they made it better. and thats complete BS. Soo the fact this game is basicly the same experience as something that was in the making 11 years ago is dumb. UI does not look or feel any better.

    Story:
For me the story is the worst i have played in a AAA game.
the problem is not that Joel Dies, or how he dies.
The problem for me is when and how the rest of the game plays out.
The flashback missions are supose too trigger a feeling. but it does not.
Lets say the would have cut the camera before joel dies. do all the flashback missions. then go into killing joel. you have then built up all the relationship with joel and ellie for then joel too die. and then you do the revenge missions. all of the story would have made soo much more sense. now when you do the flashbacks joel is already dead. and they are soo poorly done because they dont give the reaction that it should because of the order they where put in.
Now because this game does not have any other gameplay then story. and that story are fixed through cutscenes. the entire weight is in the story.
if i would have given this game a score based on graphics its like a 810
gameplay is good but not when you look at what they should have evolved for the first game.
and story gives this 010 because nothing makes sense. and ellie does not get revennge.
I therefor give this game a 110 because story is what matter in this game. without it. it does not add up to a good game made for a 2020 release.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I get why people hated this, I was one for about 60% of my playthrough yet 2 days post completion this game is on my mind 24/7. This is simply a story of what revenge can do to a person and how when faced with the worst situations imaginable and in our darkest moments, our ability to forgive is what can save us. I understand the story ND are trying to tell and forcing you to play as Abby, the character who brutally murders Joel in the first 2 hours of the game, for about 50% of the game initially is awful. I'm sure I'm not the only one who spent more time then is healthy walking Abby into infected and throwing her of ledges. What this does though is force you as the player to see how being consumed by a need for revenge can cost you. Ellie lost Jesse, Dina, JJ and her chance of a peaceful happy life in her pursuit of revenge and Abby lost Owen, Yara, Manny, her steady life and her dog in hers. All this stems from avenging their surrogate and actual fathers respectively and the way ND makes you see this from both perspectives in uncomfortable however a genius and bold move. I hated Abby after she killed Joel, i absolutely despised her yet in the final showdown I did not want to kill her. For those who say Abby lost nothing, im sorry but no. All her close companions are dead, unlike Ellies (Dina, Tommy and JJ are alive at the end) and where she and Lev ended up, i would not wish that on my worst enemy and that resort haunts me at the thought of the horrors that occurred there. Ellie showed little character growth until the very end but that was the perfect moment for her to realise, her killing Abby would not bring Joel back nor would it undo the horrors she has both faced and inflicted. She made a decision to let go and to finally give herself a chance to grow and to heal and I dont know where she will end up, but I'd like to think she is back in Jackson with JJ and Dina and happily letting Tommy think Abby is dead. This is not a pretty game but it never pretended to be in terms of story. It is bleak, it is uncomfortable and it forces you to ask and answer difficult questions. What other form of entertainment can do that for you?

Pacing can be a bit of a mess at times and certain bits can drag out, you spend a lot of time questionning the point of it all and it can be glitchy in parts. I also absolutely bloody hated having to kill Alice, Abbys dog and in combat you will probably have to kill many more pooches which a lot of people will hate but in this world its kill or be killed.

The graphics are stunning and the way your environment reacts to your presence reflect the attention to detail poured into this game.

The flashback scenes are heartbreaking and poignant and serve a purpose as well as providing more insight into the events that occurred over the 4 year gap.

Overall, play this game I urge you and come to your own conclusion. If you arent sure you want to drop this much money on a game you think you really really wont like, wait until it drops in price but it deserves to be experienced and doesn't deserve the hate it is getting elsewhere.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. That's just my opinion. I think either this or cyberpunk 2077 will be the game of the year. It's 100%. The game's graphics are amazing (especially in the rain). I'd rather tell you in advance but I read a lot of walkthroughs and articles about the game. He became inhuman, true to his predecessor, the atmosphere was barely dark. It’s not a zombies game like dead rising (so we fight it out with a chainsaw) but here too you can do the task out loud. Since I don’t have a ps4 so I asked my friend to share his opinion. I also understood one of it ... The story didn't become a big release. However, the way the 2-thread (Elie and Abby's thread meet once) is something brilliant. Just like the gameplay itself. The graphics say it again but something inhuman. Luckily, I avoided the spoilers so every single moment came unexpectedly. Many people say to rewrite the end of the game (or get a DLC like the Left Behind did). The object of the game is to say even the genius. We get Abby and Elie. They both lost a lot. We get the cause and effect of the revenge campaign for both characters. While Abby realizes sooner that this makes no sense, Elie eventually realizes that she has already lost everyone and everything. So it all made no sense. While Elie was completely ruined, Abby found a goal for herself. And his goal is to protect Lew (sorry but I don’t know how to describe it well). I think Elie pardoned Abby because she realized that she wouldn't have a better spiritual world, that Joel could never come back again and that night when Elie didn't forgive Joel but she wanted to start again ... In this world there is neither good nor bad. Everyone acts, throws the threads. Elie eventually gets out of the vicious circle. This game is a perfect ending to this generation. You have to play this game, you have to immerse yourself in the story. I may never try this game but we will remember this game for 100% of the time for a very long time. Thanks to Nauthy Dog for making this masterpiece. Expand

Tried very hard to think of a reason to not give this game a perfect score but I honestly can't think of a negative reason.

After replaying the first game only days before playing part two the jump in quality was incredible. Every aspect of the game is a major improvement over the first. The gameplay is much more fun now the ability to go full on prone has made such a big difference especially for those that like to go as stealth as possible. Shoot-outs are the best and most action packed I have experienced in a third person game some of them are so good they look choreographed.

Graphics and sound top-notch not getting any better from this generation of consoles. Let them do all the talking for themselves.

Naughty Dog have gone above and beyond with the details in this game. They have added things that are not necessarily needed but the fact they put the effort into adding them just you have got to give them massive respect for that. The little guitar simulator thing they do with Ellie is such a cool touch to the game. Check out covers people are making on YouTube using it, amazing.

The story has divided many people but I personally thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. I would say it takes a lot for me to get invested in a story whether is being TV or films. But the way this story is told by naughty dog really gripped me and I binged through the game over five days with an ending playtime of 35hours. I normally begrudge paying £55 for any video game but for 35hours plus all the effort and hard work that they must have put into this game I feel that is money well spent.

I'm probably going to end up playing it again and maybe make it my first PS4 platinum trophy.

I went into this game without seeing any reviews and after playing it and seeing the low reviews scores I'm wondering have I missed something. Maybe I'm just too dumb to see how crap this game.

But this is the best game I've played this gen or probably ever. I'm hoping for some story DLC or even a PS5 version even if that means paying again.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well. After playing for about 23 hours i can finally review this game. Killing Joel in such a heartless and rushing way was something which i can't and won't forget. . As he went to the city in Part 1 with Ellie by car, he instantly knew what the hell was going on, as some random people apparently needed his help. You could argue that after 4 years you get lazy and start to trust people more. But it's Joel: A character who is very stubborn and wants to avoid any risk at any costs, so it's not very likely that he would change even a bit. Playing Abby was no problem for me, even if she was the killer of Joel. But nearly half of the game? Damn. No way. In addition the game tried to make the player emotionally attached after killing Joel. I can say that in my case it showed the absolute opposite. I had literally no emotion left at all because all i waited for 7 years was torn apart after not even 2 hours in such a horrible way. Scenes in Last of Us Part 1, which still make me so emotional and makes me nearly cry till this day; while playing Last of Us Part 2 i felt nothing. Absolutely nothing. After debating if the game is good or bad, i decided to do neither of it. So it's a 5/10. Rest in Piece Last of Us. I will always remember your first part as the only part, which remains my favourite game of all time forever.

This game has so much to say and, while that may be a turnoff for some, it landed 100% for me. I cannot recommend this game enough. Best game I've played in a decade. Expand

The gameplay was not fun for me. I just wanted to advance in the game quickly. Since I knew some of the spoilers, I didn't want to pass much time in the game. Why are they trying tod destroy the first game? The story is wrong. Rise of Tomb Rider is the king ofthis genre.

I'm wrecked, and I love it! Great sequel to a great game. New features work well. Graphics are stunning.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last Of Us shook me to my core. I set out angry and in pain for Ellie. Joel was brutally murdered and we needed justice. I buckled in because Ellie and I had a long road ahead of us. When game started coming to a head I was disappointed. Was this really the end? Was Ellie destined to set of for Jackson? Were we unable to obtain justice for Joel’s death? Was all of the violence she caused and pain she went through for naught? Naughty Dog said sike, this is just the beginning. I wanted nothing to do with it. Abby is the villain! She was evil, why did I have to play as her? I would force her to look over heights just to get a giggle (I’m afraid of heights myself so I started to feel bad). That hatred turned into compassion, and then understanding. Naughty Dog had me shouting a character’s name joyfully, angrily, and calling it out in pained sadness. By Santa Barbara I was hoping the two women who had lost everything because of vengeance could find common ground and end the cycle of pain. I myself was emotionally exhausted. On the beach I was pleading, crying, screaming for Ellie to stop. Every press of square took something from me. As the rest of the cinematics played out I reflected on their stories. I reflected on myself. This game challenges you, forces you to take part and push through. It makes you question yourself and your motives. Every single person that starts this game needs to finish it. You go from an active participant to an unwilling accomplice, at least I did. The Last Of Us 2 just revolutionized the game industry. I didn’t even begin to touch on all of the wonderful details, nuances, and incorporations in this game. It changed me, and quickly became my favorite game. I’m excited to see what they do next because TLOU is more than a game, it is art. Expand

Technical marvel, repetitive gameplay, storywise way bellow expectations. Exiatenece of this game is pointless and unnecessary.

The graphics were great, the gameplay was fun, there were some gripping action sequences which was good, but that is not what draws me to the last of us. What draws me into this game is the characters and the story, which on those fronts were abhorrent to me. Terrible decisions made, out of character moments, and weak narrative. Not to mention the 0 percent payoff in the ending. Also did Ellie go to hang herself in the end credits? Whatever not like it matters after this game. Again, graphics, enviornment, and action was good. But the foundation of this franchise is the story, which is weak. With a weak foundation all the other stuff on top just falls apart for me. 4/10 is a generous score imo. Dissapointing. Expand

This game is excellent. TLOU2 had me thinking a lot when the credits rolled, and it improved tremendously on the first title. Expand

Extremely bad writing. Horribly tedious game pacing. No good graphics could save this game.

I finished the first part more than 5 times. I was expecting a slightly different story in the part II. However, the game did not disappoint me. Strong and rough story, beautiful graphics. I'm looking forward to the part III.

I will not have any spoilers in this review. like most of the people here I played the original 'The Last Of Us' when it came out on the PS3, and when I finished the game I perfectly remember saying "there has to be another one, this game is too good to stop here." Since then I knew/hoped there would be a second one released and when it was released saying that there would be a second oneI will not have any spoilers in this review. like most of the people here I played the original 'The Last Of Us' when it came out on the PS3, and when I finished the game I perfectly remember saying "there has to be another one, this game is too good to stop here." Since then I knew/hoped there would be a second one released and when it was released saying that there would be a second one I was overjoyed, but also slightly apprehensive. I figured that there was no way that the second game could be as good or better than the original due to its sheer majesty and storytelling, the last of us was my absolute favorite game and I knew that it was even the best-released game on the PS3 and was even near the top of the charts on the PS4, so while I was super excited for the next one to come out, there was a slight air of anxiety. This all changed once I saw the first scene, every single bit of anxiety and stress just washed away and complete overwhelming joy was all that remained, I honestly shed a tear at the sight, it was absolutely breathtaking. The detail and the returning characters melted my heart completely and nostalgia flooded in. however, this was just the beginning.

This game, the story, the emotions, the gameplay it all 100%, without a single doubt in my mind devastated me emotionally. I just finished the game literally 15 minutes ago and it was magical. such detail and emotional rollercoaster through the entire thing I cant even think about how to explain to you how unbelievably amazing this game is. this is not just a game honestly, it is apart of me now and forever. it has taught me life lessons that I couldn't get from anywhere else except experiencing them in person myself -that will make sense once u play the game- I just am so happy with this game. I didn't think TLOU could be topped by anything and if I'm being completely honest TLOU2 beat it in every day by miles. I hope that people will read this and be able to get a feel of how this game can affect a person after they have played TLOU and then TLOU2 because these two games are by far the greatest ever made and in my heart, they and their messages will stay forever. thank you, naughty dog team, for creating such a divine game, I know that it a very rough journey for most of you but this game you all created has changed me forever. I am going to cherish it for the rest of my life and I eagerly await news of 'the last of us 3'!!

I'd liked it a lot, the end isn't the 10, that's why i don't rated 10. Graphics and Gameplay are 10, the story makes my rate go down but its 7 for me, and the cutscenes that ellie's singin it maked me cry

The story is a pure disgrace. In the first game, Joel is shown to be totally untrusting and understands how bad people operate. The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
