    Alors contrairement à certains, j'ai joué et terminé le jeu .
    Il n'a pas le coté manichéen du premier du coup je peux comprendre que des joueurs se sente trahi de la façon dont sont traité les personnages qu'on a apprécié dans le premier volet mais qu'elle claque, que ce soit visuellement mais aussi au niveau du scénario. le message véhiculé par l'histoire ma touché en plein cœur . The graphics are some of the best and the combat is good step up from the first with the introduction of tall grass, crouching and silencers adding a lot of depth to the game play. At first I didn't like the story and was ready to put the controller down when I realized I was going to play as Abby for half the game. But somehow they made me care and sympathize with her and her friends. This is a story about forgiveness and revenge and I think Naughty Dog did a great job at telling it.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While Druckman sits in his office that was built by The Last of Us, what he needs to realise is that the real creative force behind that game was Bruce Straley. Bruce is missing from part II and you can tell.

    The thing that is really making me butt hurt about the whole thing is the lies Naughty Dog and Druckman have told, in order to sell the game. Doing a model swap with characters to add Joel into the game even well after he's no longer in the game. Druckman even said in an interview that Ellie was DEFINITELY the only playable character.

    Which leads me to Abby, why? is my first question. What was the point of having to control her for over half the game. For myself and probably 90% of the fans out there, the last of us is Joel and Ellie. It never needed a sequel but if it was getting one it better be about those two is what everyone has said. I forced myself to play through the Abby bits as quick as I could, no collectibles, no upgrades to weapons or stats nothing as I wanted to get back to Ellie.
    The game has been touted as being about the circle of violence and revenge and how its bad. But Abby gets everything she wants in the game while Ellie......

    You know what I just can't do it anymore, if your looking to buy this game and you love the first one, please for the love of god, pretend this doesn't exist and theres only one game, go play the last of us remastered then imagine a sequel in your mind, it will be better than this tripe.    … Expand

Bad story, bad gameplay, So your supposed to buy into the narrative that is laid in front of you, Abby who kills Joel after he saves her, then your supposed to feel angry for Ellie when she for god knows what reason to spare Abby after killing so many, the story just goes off the rails, and its sad to see so many people just gush over the thing like its a masterpiece, Naughty Dog would've been better off making a sequel to Crash Bandicoot… Expand

    Excellent graphics, performance, sound, etc. It's the best game ever. The game makes you think a lot through a bitter and realistic ending. Anyway, I recommend you the best game of 'Last of Earth 2'.

    This game has the worst scenario of the year.
    The gameplay is no different from the first part.
    The graphics are not bad. I hope the team that created the game finds a more adequate leader than Neil Druckmann

    You may not like the story, but no one can deny this game is one of the PS4 most beautiful looking game, great sound effects, great level design, voice acting and animations.
    For me it was very satisfying seeing story that is not the old and tired good guys vs bad guys most games have nowadays.

Игра сама по себе не плоха, сюжетная линия среднечек (не для фанатов 1 части), любителям толерастии особенно понравится (тут им и лгбт и сильные накаченные независимые дамы, ну и как же без трансгендеров). Графически очень понравилась! Но советую ее проходить только на ютубе, так как очень долгая и эмоции она вам не передаст в отличии от оригинальной версии.Ну, что сказать!     What post apocalyptic world would be obsessed with a person gender?

    Ridiculous story, credit where credit is due, gameplay and graphics are phenomenal but at the human cost of devs wellbeings.

    The game is just amazing. Sure the story is something that has been stirring the community apart, along with reeling in Sony's haters along the way. But this kind of take is something that no other developers or story tellers won't dare to take. So props to Naughty Dog. My only gripe is that the game is pandered to feminism, or more to feminazis. But still the game did deserves 10/10.

It teaches that revenge is a fool's game and gets anyone involved nowhere. I guarantee that most people like myself will at first hate the game but once they finish it and have time to rationally reflect on the story that they will come to appreciate the story and lesson that this game teaches.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I beat it, yes. I can finally say THAT I LOVE THIS GAME, it’s one of my favorite games EVER (on the first part’s level), but I can explain its pros and cons
    Pros: ALL, but . . .
    Cons: The first 4 hours playing Abby like a character, I was HATING her, but after all long way, that I went through, I LOVED her as character.
    I can understand, that some people doesn’t like the ending, but I LOVED It, Ellie just made a decision, which defined her as a person, and she’s alone, but she did right thing, she DID NOT kill Abby, but wanted all long way in the Game, she didn’t kill her because she is ABOVE It. Ellie understood, that she doesn’t hate Abby, now she hates only HERSELF, because she was stupid **** who rejected the dearest person in the world. And revenge for Joel it’s just a try to forgive yourself.
    In the ending, Ellie repents before herself about everything she had done.
    I LOVE THIS FRANCHISE, LOVE THIS GAME, I LOVE NEIL DRUCKMANN AND I LOVE NAUGHTY DOG!❤️

Back in 2016 when the first trailer dropped me and a buddy predicted that this game would show us the consequences of Joel taking down the fireflies - and that's what we got here. The gameplay is similar to the original, the score is phenomenal, the characters go through hell and back. They made some bold writing choices, and sadly a lot of people weren't on board with it, seemingly due to leaks mostly. The leaks are a bit off, they don't fully explain the experience of this game. And to the people just watching "Lets Plays" that doesn't really give you the proper experience either. To me this is one of the best games I've played, with the only detractor being some minor pacing issues. Otherwise its an easy 10 for me, waited 7 long years for this and was not disappointed.… Expand

    - Graphic is good base on today's standard
    - Audio is good

    - Below average storyline not as masterpiece as the first game ( a common storyline and nothing special and always do not make any sense)
    - Gameplay can be repetitive and boring over time (almost 20 hours over duration)
    - Can be buggy at certain moment
    - False advertisement giving a false expectation to player
    - The game is almost 20 hours over and at the end of the game, player was not given any choice of actions to end the game but a forced narrative which does not make any sense    … Expand

    Don't bother wasting you time and money on a game that makes you wish you never played it to begin with.
    Don't listen to a lot of paid reviewers who are giving this game 5 stars vs people voicing their honest opinion, it is for good reason.

    Pros:
    - very impressive visuals;
    - awesome character animation and performances;
    - satisfying mele combat and stealth;
    - sound design and music;
    - range of accessibility options;

    Cons:
    - the levels feel too big and way too empty, and the exploration feels more like filler and padding to stretch the time than an integral part of the gameplay loop;
    - gunplay and the main gameplay loop, in general, feel dated, not adding much to what we've seen in the first game, and making the later part of the game incredibly drawn out due to the repetitiveness;
    - character models are questionable at times, from the strange proportion of the bodies to some supporting characters looking way too similar;
    - continuation of the previous point - besides looking similar, the new characters are also very 2-dimensional to the point where you don't remember their names after dispatching of them (and the games just ignores them all after their death);
    - MISREPRESENTATION of lgbtq and exploitation tired lgbtq tropes and stereotypes for cheap drama and shock value (i.e. the bisexual character is indecisive between the male and the female love interest; the trans character is all about suffering for being trans)
    - and, finally, the story. shallow, banal revenge plot told in a convoluted mish-mash of flashbacks and flashbacks inside flashbacks, constantly undermining its own message with the gameplay as well as ridiculous amount of offhanded violence with no real gravitas. pre-existing characterizations are changed to serve the new direction, previous events are retconned, all subtlety forgotten.

    all in all, considering the amount of work from simple employees who, no doubt, tried to polish every aspect they could, and the stunning result of their work, i don't think it's fair to go with emotions and give it a 0, but i also don't think the story-driven games with terrible writing and so poorly thought through relationships between the plot and the gameplay deserves anything more than 5.    … Expand

Other than that its hard to find anything good about the game. Story is simple and quite boring to be honest. Characters are boring and most of them are not developed enough to care about. Joels death didnt make justice for him at all and 10hour side plot with Abby was pain to get through. I just wanted to game to end. Overall very disappointing game.… Expand

To top it off, we dont even get to kill Abby in the end, the only thing that would have made having to play as her for 10 hours worth the while. The gameplay and graphics are great, but the storyis unbearable. All I can do now is uninstall the game. If I had gotten a physical copy >'d break the disk, not sell it or gift it to someone, it's too unbearable of a game to burden someone else to play it.… Expand

    The story is quite simply amazing and while I understand how polarizing it is with the gamers, I can only praise Naughty Dogs for taking so many risks and deliver one of the most powerful and impactful story ever seen in the videogame industry. If this was a movie the last of us part 2 would easily tame home the    What a game... I have never felt so many emotions while playing a video game.

First and foremost the story, the characters in the tlou were very well written and and very easy to form an emotional attachment to, part 2 however the characters we forgettable. The writing felt lazy and forced at times and the pacing was way off. As far as gameplay goes I was disappointed as well. I expected an upgrade from tlou but very little changes here. Would like to have seen more new enemies instead of just variants of the old ones. It felt like every battle plays out the exact same and yeah the jump button what a joke lol. The inclusion of dogs to sniff you out would of been great if not for the absolute brain dead AI and also again easily manipulated and abused here. You can run up grab someone and silent kill them and a guy won’t see you if he’s staring at you as long as you are far enough away. Play on higher difficulties to mitigate this a bit. Now does that mean this game does nothing right? Nope....the graphics are some of the best on the ps4 and this game is visually stunning. Also the audio work is fantastic and voice acting as well. There are moments in this game that do get you scared or nervous and or on the edge of your seat. For me though these moments are too few and by the end I felt like I was forcing myself to finish this game to wrap up the story I didn’t like. Overall though the game is not a zero and it’s not a 10 it lands somewhere in the middle hence why I gave it a 5 could be argued for a 4 for some or even as high as a 6 maybe 7 and I’d listen to those arguments but don’t try and tell me this is the best game of this generation or the worst either. Like I said earlier about horizon zero dawn...don’t even try to tell me this game is close to the Witcher 3 game journos.… Expand

    Cinematics, Graphics, Gameplay, everything off the charts. Story might not be what everyone expected it to be but in my opinion there's nothing wrong with anything the story and the characters went through.

    Having recently read Euripides' Medea, how far one should go enacting revenge and hatred is strikingly similar to The Last of Us Part II. The gameplay is truly a major step-up from the original, rarely does a single player game play so intensely. Graphically the game is second-to-none on the PS4. Beyond the leaks and rage, playing the entire 25 hr game is a must play.

    You will forget that you are playing a video game. The story is so engaging, the characters are so real, it makes for the most immersive experience I have ever enjoyed with a videogame. Naughty dog has raised the bar with this one to an unprecedented level. I can only praise and applaud the effort that was put in to make this game. A true masterpiece, thank you Naughty Dog.

    This game man....the gameplay and graphics are on point. I actually really enjoyed the first half of this game. The second half though? So boring! I had huge trouble finishing the game. The second half of this game just doesn't stick the landing for me. I respect Naughty Dog for telling the story they wanted, but it didn't move me like the first game.

    I dedicated my time looking for every inch in the game to appreciate the details, I was amazed by the details on Ellie’s feelings and how her expression perfectly described that, I remember seeing Dina’s face and recalling a Jordanian friend whose name was also Dina, and how middle eastern both looked. I appreciated going back to the weapon and upgrading system, it felt organically well. I recorded the sound of preparing a Molotov bomb, the sound of the gasoline being poured in the bottle is like “Sound porn”. How the backpack reacted to Ellie’s movements, how can you tear apart with the suffering, the fear of being spotted, the sadness and desperation of your actions, the unease of knowing you will do something that isn’t nice to digest. How stressful the music makes you feel when enemies are around and then the perfect pauses where you learn more about the characters, and what drives them to do what they do.
    ND owns the history and I thank them for letting me experience it, as it is, from their mind and hearts. Play it....live it, enjoy it.    … Expand

It was an absolutely stunning game that elevated the medium in nearly every conceivable way. There was no need for a sequel as the narrative ended on such a poignant moment of universal insight and reflection, that to attempt a sequel would risk destroying that prior accomplishment.

    Naughty Dog went ahead and developed a sequel regardless. While Part 1 was "The Road", Part II is The Last of Us by way of "Blood Meridian or the Evening Redness in the West". It stands as the single most unrelenting nihilistic narrative I've ever experienced, and will likely ever experience, in the medium. The game will not please everyone, but the first title didn't offer a traditionally satisfying narrative either. The developers seemingly wallow in misery, but do so with a clear purpose. Many other reviewers here have marked the title down (some illegitimate, far fewer who have actually played the game to completion) because of the punches this game refuses to pull. They are experiencing the stages of grief. Their reviews exist as funeral pyres for fictitious characters they thought deserved better. I don't disagree that some of these characters deserved better. I would have liked to believe that there was light in the darkness. That's not the narrative that is being told here. It hurts.

    This is not the game many people wanted to play. Neil Druckmann has crafted a fetid existential wasteland of the soul. This does not mean this is a bad game. It's truly a remarkable accomplishment on every front. While I was one of the people who did not want a sequel to Part I, now that we have Part II, I would adore a Part III, if for no other reason than to hold out hope that "it can't be for nothing."    … Expand

    The game as a "game" is superb, Naughty Dog plays in his own league in many aspects, however the story is not perfect in my opinion. I am not talking about the main line, but the small mistakes that sometimes make you feel "wtf?!". Overall 9/10, I am looking forward to Part III.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm not gonna focus on other reviews and i'm just gonna go straight forward and say what i think about the game.
    First of all i want to say that this game is really down to earth in the sense that "there's no heroes", Naughty Dog shows us this early in the game with the death of Joel, giving a sense to the whole game that comes ahead. Sure people have attached to him and his relationship with Ellie on the first one but if you come open minded to this one you will be blown away.
    Then again, the characters that kill him (Abby and her crew) have their side of the story too, which is told marvellously. It kinda makes you with mix feelings about if you want revenge or not, and naughty dog made this very cleverly by making you play as Abby and get a really big connection to her character and the role she plays. Basically what we see here is "there's 2 sides to 1 story" and "there's no heroes", everyone can die at any moment.
    The game is raw, violent and meaningful at the same time for the sake of Ellies revenge.
    In my opinion this game surpasses The Last of Us 1 and it's a masterpiece in a world that you want to live in and explore.
    My complains about it in terms of dialogue is the following: Im ok with lgbt and the gay community, i mean each person is its own person and i think it fits Ellies character to be gay. Although you don't get my 10 because of this simple detail. Not everything is about LGBT. "Ellie plays guitar after Joel dies."
    Dina response: "You should've kissed me back there".
    Ellie enters a store and Dina sees a book about 2 girls being in love "Hey Ellie this could be us".
    Hello? Gay couples should be normal, just like hetero couples, you don't need to throw the LGBT stuff and then make a tragic death about it...
    My point is.... we were on a mourning period and you throw us LGBT dialogues which in my opinion didn't fit the mood in that precise moment.
    I gotta give it a 9 and wish i could give it a 10 but this point really bugged me cuz i wanted to feel the pain of losing Joel, and instead got that annoying character always trying to bang me.
    Other than that and comparing to other games i would say this game is a combination of: Life is Strange, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid and it has of course lots of elements from Uncharted.
    I guess you could not use always the same assets, like chairs and beds and stuff, but with a game that long i guess it couldn't be better. Im waiting for TLOU3 on the PS5 for sure cuz that ending made me want more.

Worth the money just for the gameplay.

    Here's why I didn't like TLOU2: the inciting incident early in the game didn't work for me. It felt poorly executed--like a forced plot device--and it immediately broke the 4th wall for me. In order for the ENTIRE GAME to work, the player must be filled with rage and the desire for retribution. That's the lynchpin of the entire game. For whatever reason, that crucial scene didn't work for me. It felt forced and clumsy, so I didn't have the "revenge fuel" that's necessary to propel you through the rest of the (very long) game.

    -I didn't mind WHO was killed early in the game. I did NOT feel short-changed or misled by the marketing. I have ZERO PROBLEM with that character being killed so early. I just feel like the implementation of that scene was not set up or managed properly, so I felt narrative dissonance and it didn't function as intended. I had ZERO thirst for revenge. It just felt like a narrative mistake.

    -I loved the honest and non-gimmicky inclusion & representation of LGBTQ characters.

    -I feel like the perspective shifts in the game pulled off some impressive narrative judo and, I actually preferred more gameplay and characters from the second half of the game.

    Summarizing the ending is complex. It didn't work for ME because the inciting incident didn't work for me at the beginning of the game. In the final battle, I actually wanted the "hero" to die, NOT the "villain." I didn't feel cheated... I just felt like the final battle was forced and unnecessary.

    The epilogue only makes sense to me if they're doing a Part III. If so, then this game is the bitter pill to swallow in order for "redemption" to work in a Part III. But if there's not a Part III, this game is just an unnecessary leap into oblivion.

    Gameplay is amazing and all. But I wouldn't believe the same team did write the story of this game.

    It's not a bad game, but no one waited the last of us for the gameplay but the story.
    They dedicated more time on the rope physics (which are amazing) than the develop of the second and last part of the story.
    And the ending it just shouted out loud "We are making a 3rd game".
    I'm not mad about the ending, I'm mad about how it happened.

    In summary, this was like a school project. People made their part of the story and they tried to fix it together.

How do you go from promising the fans that the game would be about the story and relationship of the two main protagonists from game one to forcing you to play as the antagonist who just killed a character you made them fall in love with 7 years ago? What in the hell is wrong with you naughty dog... Honestly the death of Joel I had accepted a long time ago, and to be truthful? I expected it at the end or near end of this game. But no... 2 hours in... without even giving us a chance to use his character in game! Especially after you advertised this game with Joel and Ellie featuring in the trailers heavy and literally lying to us with regards to the “didn’t think I would make you do this in your own” scene... that’s a separate issue I have entirely!!!

    Graphics were amazing as per usual, music and general workings of the game were 10/10...

    But the story had literally killed this franchise for me. Such a shame you had 7 years and kept us waiting for that... what a pile of crap    … Expand

People who rate this 0 are obviously those who haven’t played/finished the game just so they could hop on the bandwagon. The graphics are amazing and breathtaking! I despise Abby to be honest, but as her story continues I think i’m kinda getting her (still not like her tho) but her story arcs are actually good imo. Loved the Joel/Tommy/Ellie flashbacks plus the bonus content when Ellie sang Take Me On inside the Music Shop (made me cry). The ending feels sorta empty tho like there’s something big missing. But all in all I actually enjoyed it. I call bsh*t on the haters and fanboys **** on this game. Joel’s death was so sad and sudden and unfair but that’s just life. Ending scene where Joel and Ellie was having a talk by the porch made my heart hurt like hell :(( I would play it again now in survival mode! :D Wish me luck!… Expand

    This game is a masterpiece, I do not understand the hate for this game. Definitely a game of the gen contender.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
